There are so many flavors/themes of nachos to choose from, where do you start? I genuinely wanted to try everything but ended up with the banh mi and Hawaiian nachos. Not going to lie, I was very curious to the ethnicity of the storeowners. I didn't expect so many Asian flavors. The gal had recommended the banh mi (it was her favorite) and thought I would give it a try. Out of the two, Hawaiian stole the show. I found the banh mi wonton chips to be overly greasy. I expected more pickled daikon and carrots but didn't really feel like I was eating "banh mi". The agave sauce really didn't fit with the other ingredients. A chili sauce, or maybe even crunchy chili oil would have been a better substitute since the theme wanted some heat with each bite. This dish def. was on the spicer side. There were more jalapenos than cilantro. Sad. I definitely needed more cilantro. Chopped up and garnished. The wispy stems of cilantro are what usually what you top a banh mi sandwich, but when you're sharing a plate, it should be diced up more so that cilantro is at every bite of nacho like how it's within every bit of a banh mi sandwich. Hawaiian nachos were absolutely fantastic. They were just sweet enough to make you feel like you weren't in NC, and it wasn't as greasy as the wonton chips. The variety of nachos had a safe touch of tropical flavor to comfort any nacho craving. Also... kudos to the fact that you have this little service window to the bar next door. I found out about this restaurant due to them being next door to my favorite bar, Narwhal's Crafted. They have a service door inside of the bar to serve food to their patrons. I love the nachos and they compliment the frozen drinks well. I have tried a few of their nachos but the Top Nacho is my favorite. I do love the idea of loaded elevated nachos. Nachos is one of my go-to bar or appetizer foods (along with chicken wings)! They put a twist on it and made a few different kinds of nachos. I opted for the Crab Rangoon (appetizer portion, so a bit smaller and $7) and my friend got the Jamaican Jerk (entree portion, fairly larger and $10). We split the S'mores dessert nachos ($6). I especially loved the slightly burnt marshmallows on top of the s'mores nachos - however, the 2 drizzles were delicious and everything blended together quite nicely. The Crab Rangoon nachos were pretty good, a little over the top with the sour cream type drizzle, but I liked the orange sauce. My friend ate the entire order of Jamaican Jerk. I was able to swoop one nacho from his plate and there was definitely a lot of flavors going on in even the one bite/nacho. Service was super friendly and they even offered to make the S'mores a bit after we got our nachos to have them extra fresh. I'd definitely stop be again to try another round. read more

It's very easy to order from Narwhal's and pick up with your nachos. I should have taken the few extra seconds to order my drink. Hubby's fave food is nachos of all kinds so as soon as I heard this place was opening I added it on our must go to list. We had peeked at the menu and were excited for the variety of nachos they offer. Hubby ordered gyro and I opted for crab rangoon. I didn't love that they have app sizes and meal sizes. You can do a "side by side" which is 2 app sizes but only $1 less than ording a meal and an app which is more food. I wish they offered the 2 sizes for any of the selections. We weren't excited that the inside setup is basically like a Subway setup. All the food is precooked and out and they pick it and go. We anticipated that the nachos would be hot or even warm but neither were. They were both cold and that is weird for nachos... My oldest wanted To try this place out for dinner. They just recently opened and I love nachos so we gave it a shot. First time I tried to call in an order but they weren't doing orders over the phone which was a bit disappointing- So we had to go in to place our order. The workers were polite and friendly and they took care of us but you could definitely tell they were learning on the job as they took their time and were meticulous about the order. My daughter got the gyro nachos and they were pretty tasty as they definitely had the flavor of eating a Gyro. I got the side-by-side and did a Hawaiian barbecue nachos with chicken and the bánh mì nachos and subbed the chicken instead of the pork. The banh mi we're probably my favorite. I loved the pickled aspect of the nachos and when you got that bite that included the fresh herbs it was extremely tasty- would have enjoyed even more herbs with the as they brought some freshness to the dish. The Hawaiian BBQ nachos were tasty and I really enjoyed the poblano queso of this the most. But the real star was the cannoli nachos as they were extremely good and the orange zest mixed in with that perfect bite made it spectacular. But I think the Bahn was the winner for me, on a sight technicality that the ragu makes the ravioli chips soggy quickly.
