My very first review for Yelp, featured King Edwards Chicken. On my first visit this, "hole in a wall," restaurant, wasn't very appealing on the outside, but once in inside, you knew you step into a hidden gem, where food is super star, and anything else isn't important. Just like the first time I came here, chicken was hot, juicy, seasoned just right, and cooked perfectly. The staff behind the counter were fast, efficient, and very friendly. Again, King Edwards Chicken earned 5x2 thumbs up for maintaining consistency and affordability!

This is my first time in. Well, they out of corn on the cob. I came for the catfish and the corn. However I'll be trying the chicken as well. Now instead of the corn on the cob I'll be trying the Mac n cheese bites. The sodas are huge. They definitely give you something ta drink. Lol super huge fountain drinks. Ok I got catfish and fries Mac n cheese bites with hush puppies the husband got chicken & fries. So I took some of his chicken and gave him some fish. Anyway the all star legend is the catfish. It's super good and tasty the chicken is number 2 because the fish is number one hands down. First off the chicken was cold. The fish was so hot it melted my box they put it in. Oh joy its delicious you all have got to try this catfish super hot crunchy and tender so flavorful and its just divine. This place is a must try. Ok so with the power YELP has given me I now pronounce KEC a must try and I issue five stars. I'll be back here next week. Lol

Happened to be checking Yelp and saw King Edwards Chicken. A quaint little spot in St. Peter's, MO that will deliver a great meal If you're in the vicinity. Located a short drive off interstate 70, King Edwards Chicken balances great chicken and sold side dishes. There are a few chicken places in the area, but King Edwards can provide what fast food chicken can't better prices, better quality and better service. The decor within King Edwards was a considerable amount pictures of St. Martin which help pass the time while waiting for your food. King Edwards also has an extensive menus of delicious fried treat such as chicken, catfish and appetizers. We ordered several items off the menu and order was prepared in less that 10 minutes, incredibly moist, full of flavor and side dishes were solid. Fried pickles and zucchini had a little too much grease but then again it's fried so no complaints here! Restaurant doesn't have restrooms so plan accordingly. Tables were also serviced promptly after every customer. Seating is limited and can fill up quickly based on the consistent number of customers we saw during our visit. Overall, good visit and experience. If you're in the area and in the mood for sit hot food, give them a try! We will be back.

A tasty little chicken place in St. Charles City! We ordered our 3 piece white meat meals (one with fries; one with mashed potatoes/gravy) to go, so we could enjoy an outdoor picnic on this beautiful November day at nearby McNair Park. The chicken is crispy on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside. It is good comfort food!

Such good food there. As a foodie I love their fried choices. Chicken always fresh. It's not fancy but they get the food done.

The French onion soup was amazing! As close as I recall the original Famous Barr restaurant soup was years ago. The salad was ok. Don't know why they chose to purée the butternut squash after roasting it, but that I think would've been better having the roasted bite with the beats. But the southern fried chicken sandwich was delicious. Highly recommend. And the Service was great.

The chicken was prepared nicely. It was grilled it was delicious. I was expecting maybe a little bit more flavor to the chicken which could've helped with the pasta, but the pasta was very bland. Other than that, I loved everything and I will be back to try other things on the menu

I was looking to "book" a private dining room in a restaurant that I thought might be good. I called Prasino's, but couldn't speak with anyone because their Customer Service is geared to choosing numbers on my phone keypad. Okay, I followed the rules-- left my name and contact information and sat back to wait for a call. It has now been over 48 hours and there has been no call; no message. I've now booked with another local restaurant. A place that has humans who will speak with a person when he or she calls. I suppose they must have all the business they need? I normally don't like leaving negative reviews, but something felt different this time. When we walked in there was only one other couple dining, and there was noticeable clutter sitting in the corners of the restaurant. It gave the place a different feel than what we remembered from our last visit. I ordered the Creole Breakfast Gravy. The biscuit itself was excellent--light, fluffy, and exactly how a biscuit should be. Unfortunately the gravy was disappointing. It tasted more like regular sausage gravy with a heavy amount of cayenne pepper and Cajun seasoning added to it. The flavors just didn't balance well. My wife ordered the Eggs Benedict. One poached egg was perfect, but the other came out over medium. That's something a trained chef normally wouldn't send out, and it made me feel like the kitchen might have a cook working the line rather than a chef overseeing the dishes. I do want to say the waitress was phenomenal. She was very attentive, friendly, and always made sure our coffee stayed fresh and hot. Her service was definitely the highlight of the visit. We will likely come back again because we know this restaurant can do better. Hopefully the kitchen can correct a few things and bring the consistency back.
