They take phone orders btw but you still need to wait in line lol. Anyway, we ordered the family meal of mixed cuts. The wings were my favorite, but the chicken was so good. The crunch was satisfying. We got two sides: fries and potato salad. And my husband got me fried pickles because its my favorite. We also got rolls with our meal! Someone told us the had the best chicken EVAH, so decided to give them a try. Chicken was okay, but not great IMO. Sides were tasty. Was served quickly. A bit of a dump of a place. This is my first time in. Well, they out of corn on the cob. I came for the catfish and the corn. However I'll be trying the chicken as well. Now instead of the corn on the cob I'll be trying the Mac n cheese bites. The sodas are huge. They definitely give you something ta drink. Lol super huge fountain drinks. Ok I got catfish and fries Mac n cheese bites with hush puppies the husband got chicken & fries. So I took some of his chicken and gave him some fish. Anyway the all star legend is the catfish. It's super good and tasty the chicken is number 2 because the fish is number one hands down. First off the chicken was cold. The fish was so hot it melted my box they put it in. Oh joy its delicious you all have got to try this catfish super hot crunchy and tender so flavorful and its just divine. This place is a must try. I called and placed a order last minute for my sons birthday gathering. I was beyond satisfied that they were able to provide me with what I requested the same day. I ordered a ton of wings, mashed potatoes, dinner rolls, and green beans. Everything was hot, fresh, and delicious . I will definitely be coming back to enjoy a meal. Keep in mind the inside is not very big, but with a few tables . This is more of a carry out. However, give them a shot for any catering needs. You won't be disappointed. read more

We ordered 2 full orders of gizzards first off the service was quick and timely but the gizzards were tasteless rubber nuggets very disappointed the oil was old and no breading on these rubber gizzards. Will never be back read more

My wife and I went back to King Edwards today and got carryout. We ordered 1 pound of chicken livers and the 3 piece chicken meal. We also ordered French Fries, Cole Slaw and Mushrooms. The chicken was good. The livers were over cooked, the french fries and fried mushrooms were under cooked. The staff did their jobs but wan't overly friendly. The restaurant is pretty basic but it was clean. The total bill was $27 which I thought was pretty good for the amount of food that we received. read more

Happened to be checking Yelp and saw King Edwards Chicken. A quaint little spot in St. Peter's, MO that will deliver a great meal If you're in the vicinity. Located a short drive off interstate 70, King Edwards Chicken balances great chicken and sold side dishes. There are a few chicken places in the area, but King Edwards can provide what fast food chicken can't better prices, better quality and better service. The decor within King Edwards was a considerable amount pictures of St. Martin which help pass the time while waiting for your food. King Edwards also has an extensive menus of delicious fried treat such as chicken, catfish and appetizers. We ordered several items off the menu and order was prepared in less that 10 minutes, incredibly moist, full of flavor and side dishes were solid. Fried pickles and zucchini had a little too much grease but then again it's fried so no complaints here! Restaurant doesn't have restrooms so plan accordingly. Tables were also serviced promptly after every customer. Seating is limited and can fill up quickly based on the consistent number of customers we saw during our visit. So, the first time I had this chicken was a few years back when a co-worker brought a giant pan for Food Day. I couldn't believe how many pieces I ate. I kept going back for more. Over the years, I've visited sporadically because this place is no where near my home, about a 25 min drive in fact, however, what I appreciate is that the food is so fresh that it's still hot by the time I make it back home. The seasoning, the crispness, the preparation, all of it contributes to how great this chicken taste. For this last visit, walk-in order, 5pc Wing w/Green Beans. In and out in less than 10 minutes. This is a deep fry shack. The chicken is fine. Not really that tasty but a good value, very crispy. The sides I had were bland with nothing but a lard taste. They were onion rings and okra with the okra being particularly bland. They didn't give us or offer us any dipping sauces (and we forgot to ask), so the chicken nuggets were just lard balls with a good amount of white meet in them--obviously frozen from a bag. read more

Its nestled snugly within a strip mall behind the dmv. only marker is a faded sign behind JJ's. only flaw i have found recently is the seasoning on drums and thighs a little lacking but still present. however consistency 'always seems perfect and juciy dark or light meat', sides seem quick and anything fried to order, and staff have been friendly and welcoming each time. Really good fried food here. Many menu items to choose from, not just chicken! Pretty unassuming place, nothing fancy about the decor or service but the food is GREAT! Awesome lunch special gets you 4 pieces of chicken (or 5 wings) a side and a drink for $7!!! The chicken is pretty darn good. The breading has a unique "crispness" to it and is loaded with juicy, salty flavor. Sides are great. Fries, mac-n-cheese, slaw are all spot on standards. Cut all that salt with fountain Pepsi, yes please. This place easily beats any fast food chicken chain restaurant for me. If you haven't had this chicken, you're in for a treat. Don't go expecting a fancy sit down restaurant cause it's not that. It's a "get it and go" but there's the option to eat in if need be but it's a rather small space. I have yet to go there and get a bad meal. The chicken is always hot, and ready to go. As are the fries, wish they were steak fries but that's my preference. I enjoy my food hot and they always exceed my expectations.
