If you want some authentic creole food then look no further. No matter what you order you can't go wrong. You can tell everything they offer is scratch made. Their po boy that has catfish and shrimp will give you the best of both worlds. The fish is cooked to perfection and seasoned just right. The shrimp is juicy and plump and compliments the fish. They also have a great ratio of meat bread and toppings. Another favorite is their red beans and rice. You have not experienced good red beans until you have tried theirs. It goes really good with the po boy. The jerk fries will blow your mind! It's like an orgasm in your mouth, you can thank me later! The customer service is amazing they are warm and friendly and are always smiling. If your in St. Louis or visiting this is a must visit spot. Oh and they sell their seasonings and sauces, and they are def worth buying

I got a shrimp po boy from them and it was good. They served it to me faster than I was expecting and it was good. It was also fairly large; it had so many [fried] shrimp in it, almost every bite I took 1 or more shrimp fell out. So the food was good and I thought I got decent value for my money. They had a few other things on the menu that sounded good, so I might try one of those next time. I would recommend this food truck.

    Catfish Po'boy

9 Mile Garden visit and Crooked Boot was the first Foodtruck on the row. With several po'boys to choose from, how could I not partake. I settled on the Catfish Po'boy which was a 9" roll, 2 sizable pieces of Catfish, lettuce, tomato and sauce. That first bite confirmed my hopes and yes, it was a great sandwich. The fish was beautifully seasoned, the bread was fresh and crisp lettuce. The sauce was a great accompaniment and I'd even suggest getting an extra side of it. Overall, a wonderful sandwich and would certainly have it again.

    Crabwich, hush puppies, and okra

Found the food truck and got some grub there. Tried to hit up their storefront, but they can't seem to find workers to staff it. Anyway, my crabwich (fried soft shell crab on a pretzel bun with lettuce, tomato, onion, and vudu sauce) was delicious. Sides of hush puppies and okra were good, if standard. They lady taking my order (owner?) was pleasant. She told me ow much the bill would be before the ran my card. I was a bit surprised by this, and she explained that some people like to know how much beforehand. Now that I thin about it, I believe some trucks do that and some don't. She also said that they cook the food to order, rather than beforehand, so it might take about ten minutes. I believe it actually only took about five, though. Based on some earlier reviews, it seems like they've learned from the past and have been improving their operations as they learn the business.

The taste was pretty good but the amount of food you get for the price you pay just doesn't add up. ‍

We love to do pick up or use their food truck! Best Cajun around! If you eat in, the area is very small, but great friendly service.

Sides selected fried okra and fries. We shared all the items and I have to say they were all so delicious! The smoked jalapeño sausage was extremely flavorful with just the right amount of heat and Smokey flavor! The smoked beans are some of the best I have had with bits of smoked meat throughout and a deep smoke flavor. Highlights: Boudin balls: crispy outside with soft flavorful centers. Came with a great dipping ranch sauce. Cuban sandwich: perfectly smoked pork and the bread was amazing! Also enjoyed the peach cobbler! Yum... Our waiter was so great with details and descriptions of the special of the day and so attentive. Always a great stop.

I seriously don't like potato salad but per the recommendation of the bartender, I tried it one evening and it's delicious. They occasionally have burnt ends which I hear are also amazing. If you go, pop in downstairs for a drink with the best bartenders in a divey ambiance. The patio is serene with the creek running by and lots of tree cover. Honestly one of my favorite places in St Charles!

We were seated right away and the service was top notch. Waitress was always attentive. As for the food, well...... we over-ordered for sure because too many things looked good. I went to the restroom and i casually glanced at others patrons' plates. Some were just downright disgusting... Big ole crab legs hanging off the plate! Shrimp stacked so high it would almost fall off the plate. Huge plates! Pitiful i tell ya! I ordered the crawfish/shrimp ettouffee and it was different than any other i've ever had. My wife reminded me the menu says this was cajun food done St Louis style. My meal was great. Excellent flavor. The wife had some Cod and fried shrimp; again... on an over-filled plate. She had to give me a few pieces of it to help her out. My mother-in-law ordered Coconut shrimp, gave each of us a piece to taste and still had 6 BIG coconut shrimp left that she couldn't eat. If you're math-ing this, the plate had Twelve huge coconut shrimp with fries and some grilled corn. Add to all this a side of hush puppies cause my wife loves them and some cajun batter fried pickles for an appetizer, we had a ton of food. We have found a new place to go to. If you haven't tried this place, you should. I will definitely be back.

Already, there are signs that things have taken a turn for the worse. They're playing music via an ad-supported Spotify account, complete with Rocket Mortgage ads, and the tables are covered with ads for vinyl siding companies that probably prey on the elderly. The latter is an especially sensitive issue for me as I get on in years. Just because I look dumb doesn't mean that I can easily be taken advantage of. No but really, as many times as I've been here, I don't know that I've had anything other than the (pejorative-sounding) Rajun Cajun, the Seaside Combo and the Fish Tacos. I used to get the Rajun Cajun, but I gradually shifted to the Seaside Combo, which seems oddly generous, given that it comes with six shrimp. It's not exactly inexpensive, but it doesn't seem so unreasonable, at a time when you have to sign up for Klarna just to eat at McDonald's. The shrimp they use are surprisingly decent quality. They're probably not quite jumbo, otherwise they'd describe them as such on the menu (why waste the opportunity?), but they're not far off. The cod planks, on the other hand, are a tad skimpy, somewhere in between the fish stick you'd get at a good elementary school and the ones they serve at Long John Silver's. You get two with the Seaside Combo, and with an order of Fish & Chips. I wonder if they have separate, larger planks that they use for the Fish & Chips. The list of sides is longer than you might think. Some of them carry an upcharge, and it's not always clear why that's the case. Spinach, for example, costs extra, as does corn on the cob. Who'd pay extra just to eat spinach, Popeye? I've only ever gone with the fries and coleslaw, neither of which is regarded as premium, though I'd argue that they're the two best things you can get with fried fish and shrimp. It's hard to mess up food that you're just tossing into a deep fryer, but credit where credit is due: my fish, shrimp and fries were amazing (as was the coleslaw). They were generously battered (by hand, supposedly) and cooked until perfectly crisp. They must be making use of the timers on those deep fryers. They may have purposely cranked the volume on the ad-supported Spotify so we wouldn't hear them going off. If they did, that was smart of them. Pro Tip: Sprinkle Slap Yo Mama on everything, including the coleslaw. Don't sweat the sodium content. The world is obviously coming to an end sooner rather than later anyway. But don't bother with the signature spicy-and-sweet hot sauce, which is gross. I appreciated the way the fish and shrimp were artfully arranged on the plate. But they buried the lemon wedge, and I didn't notice until I'd already eaten one of the shrimp. So that was definitely a missed opportunity. I'd suggest that they invest in slightly larger plates, but I shudder to think what they might have to do to finance that.

My daughter and I both had the catfish nugget dinner. Our side were yams, greens and macaroni and cheese. Everything was delicious. For most of our visit, real nice jazz was playing in the background until a patron complained (really?!) and so the music got flipped to RAP. We did not appreciate that. For dessert we split the red velvet cake (our second choice because they were out of banana pudding). The cake was dry - perhaps it sat out in the open uncovered. The icing was great tho. All that being said, I will go back to try some of the more traditional creole dishes on the menu. And hopefully they'll have banana pudding.

I started eating in the car because I wanted to taste it while it was fresh. The yams were well seasoned and sweet. My baked chicken was juicy and falling off the bone. While the macaroni looked wonderful and I could see the seasoning, I was hoping to taste more herbs. I still ate them all, but they were bland. I only did not add my own seasoning because the rest of the meal was seasoned well enough that I did not want to overdo it.
