If you want some authentic creole food then look no further. No matter what you order you can't go wrong. You can tell everything they offer is scratch made. Their po boy that has catfish and shrimp will give you the best of both worlds. The fish is cooked to perfection and seasoned just right. The shrimp is juicy and plump and compliments the fish. They also have a great ratio of meat bread and toppings. Another favorite is their red beans and rice. You have not experienced good red beans until you have tried theirs. It goes really good with the po boy. The jerk fries will blow your mind! It's like an orgasm in your mouth, you can thank me later! The customer service is amazing they are warm and friendly and are always smiling. If your in St. Louis or visiting this is a must visit spot. Oh and they sell their seasonings and sauces, and they are def worth buying

I got a shrimp po boy from them and it was good. They served it to me faster than I was expecting and it was good. It was also fairly large; it had so many [fried] shrimp in it, almost every bite I took 1 or more shrimp fell out. So the food was good and I thought I got decent value for my money. They had a few other things on the menu that sounded good, so I might try one of those next time. I would recommend this food truck.

9 Mile Garden visit and Crooked Boot was the first Foodtruck on the row. With several po'boys to choose from, how could I not partake. I settled on the Catfish Po'boy which was a 9" roll, 2 sizable pieces of Catfish, lettuce, tomato and sauce. That first bite confirmed my hopes and yes, it was a great sandwich. The fish was beautifully seasoned, the bread was fresh and crisp lettuce. The sauce was a great accompaniment and I'd even suggest getting an extra side of it. Overall, a wonderful sandwich and would certainly have it again.

    Crabwich, hush puppies, and okra

Found the food truck and got some grub there. Tried to hit up their storefront, but they can't seem to find workers to staff it. Anyway, my crabwich (fried soft shell crab on a pretzel bun with lettuce, tomato, onion, and vudu sauce) was delicious. Sides of hush puppies and okra were good, if standard. They lady taking my order (owner?) was pleasant. She told me ow much the bill would be before the ran my card. I was a bit surprised by this, and she explained that some people like to know how much beforehand. Now that I thin about it, I believe some trucks do that and some don't. She also said that they cook the food to order, rather than beforehand, so it might take about ten minutes. I believe it actually only took about five, though. Based on some earlier reviews, it seems like they've learned from the past and have been improving their operations as they learn the business.

The taste was pretty good but the amount of food you get for the price you pay just doesn't add up. ‍

We love to do pick up or use their food truck! Best Cajun around! If you eat in, the area is very small, but great friendly service.

Super friendly and very knowledgeable! True to Napoli's style, Service was top notch! Pretzel Bread service to kick things off, served with Spicy Mustard and Spicy Queso, both delicious. I'd have to say the queso was my favorite, but... we'll yeah it's cheese! Hayden let me taste the Sauvignon Blanc on happy hour and while it wasn't unenjoyble, I went with the non-happy hour Reisling for the win, which was delicious! Coastal Hour Crispy Rock Shrimp as an appetizer, which is about 1/2 the dinner size and perfect as a starter or even as a meal with a soup or salad. Really nice breading on the shrimp, not too thick. Good flavor on the sauce, not spicy. For the entree, Louisiana style Halibut with Crawfish and Cajun Sauce, Mashed Potatoes and Asparagus. The plate comes out piping hot, please don't touch. I even had to cool off each bite of food. Well balanced flavors, cooked perfectly. No room for dessert, so I settled on the Smores Martini which was an amazing dessert choice. You get all the flavors of a Smores treat in a libation. Truly enjoyed this Thursday eve!

Actually... I was right because Jalea is 10x better than what we've ever had in the West Coast. This cozy restaurant is on Main Street, so if you're lucky, you can get street parking otherwise there is public parking spots scattered around Downtown St. Charles. Our server was really sweet, a little soft spoken, but got us through the menu. Our table was given some plantain and corn nuts to munch on while we browsed the menu. Everything was really dang good!! I ordered the Ceviche Carritellero that came with breaded shrimp. Gigantic breaded shrimp. It was so good and I loved the citrusy, bright flavors. My husband ordered the Chaufa Aeropuerto - the flavors on this was incredible. It was Peruvian fried rice with steak and pork belly, and an egg on top. This was a really great dinner experience, and I hope we can come back again to make this a regular date night spot for us!

We were seated right away and the service was top notch. Waitress was always attentive. As for the food, well...... we over-ordered for sure because too many things looked good. I went to the restroom and i casually glanced at others patrons' plates. Some were just downright disgusting... Big ole crab legs hanging off the plate! Shrimp stacked so high it would almost fall off the plate. Huge plates! Pitiful i tell ya! I ordered the crawfish/shrimp ettouffee and it was different than any other i've ever had. My wife reminded me the menu says this was cajun food done St Louis style. My meal was great. Excellent flavor. The wife had some Cod and fried shrimp; again... on an over-filled plate. She had to give me a few pieces of it to help her out. My mother-in-law ordered Coconut shrimp, gave each of us a piece to taste and still had 6 BIG coconut shrimp left that she couldn't eat. If you're math-ing this, the plate had Twelve huge coconut shrimp with fries and some grilled corn. Add to all this a side of hush puppies cause my wife loves them and some cajun batter fried pickles for an appetizer, we had a ton of food. We have found a new place to go to. If you haven't tried this place, you should. I will definitely be back.

We were greeted and seated right away, which was a nice start to the evening. This was our first visit to this particular location, although we've dined a few times over the years at their Creve Coeur restaurant. Our server was also tending bar that evening. He was polite and attentive, although a bit soft-spoken, which made him a little difficult to hear at times in the busy restaurant. We started with drinks--my wife ordered her usual glass of Chardonnay, and I went with a Corona. For dinner, my wife chose the blackened red snapper tacos with green beans and beans and rice, while I ordered the seaside combo with cod and shrimp, served with green beans and potato wedges. Our food arrived in about 25 minutes, and everything tasted very good. My wife especially kept talking about how flavorful the red snapper tacos were. The seafood tasted fresh, and the sides complemented the meals nicely. Overall, both the service and food made for a very enjoyable evening. The only downside was the price, as the dishes are definitely on the higher side. Still, with seafood being shipped in from the coast/gulf, that's somewhat understandable. All in all, it was a good dining experience, and we'd consider coming back again for another date night.

The server at that time was nice and did her best despite most menu options were running low quick. After all, they did give us a free gift card for future use. No complaints. Most recently, I ordered my family meals to go and was trying to use the gift cards that expired same day. I was surprised that the cards could only be used for dine in only. No big deal. Just didn't use them. Our overall impression of our food was.... it was OK. I ordered the Roasted Garlic Sirloin with Au Gratin potatoes and broccoli. The sirloin was a very unpleasant cut (especially for the price). The interior was inconsistently cooked; slightly undercooked in parts and overcooked on others. The Au Gratin potatoes are supported with an up charge, despite the container being half filled (very, very thin the layer). The broccoli was served plenty, packed to capacity in the container. Only two dinner rolls were included for the meal of 3. Would i try it again? Maybe some years from now, no rush to go back.
