Came with a larger group of eight women for a girls brunch. We got reservations on a Saturday and the table is ready when we arrived. They had lots of cocktails and cocktails to choose from. I got a black coffee. They don't have an extensive coffee menu but the coffee they did have was pretty good. I got a skillet with vegetables and it was delicious! All my girlfriends loved what they got to. I would definitely come back here. It was nice. Great big parking lot too!

I was really blown away with this restaurant! Their drinks were excellent and so was the food! My friend and I just decided to get a bunch of different things and split them so we got a mixture of appetizers, a sushi roll and a salad. Pictures with description is below. They were really busy on a Friday night so I would highly recommend a reservation.

Had such a great experience at Prasinos! The atmosphere was absolutely gorgeous and the vibe was everything -- such a cute brunch spot. Our waiter was super nice and made the experience even better. We tried the hummus for the first time and it was actually a really nice experience. I also got the shrimp and steak tacos and they were wonderful! Everything was flavorful and fresh. Definitely a spot I'd come back to for brunch, good food, and a relaxing atmosphere.

First time here with a group of coworkers. The space is huge, with tabletop seating, booth seating, and even an outdoor patio. I ordered sushi rolls and cocktails and was surprised how good the sushi was, since it's not technically a sushi restaurant, but it was fresh and flavorful. Funny enough they have a "girl dinner" dish on the menu and it turned out to be a popular order at our table. My coworker really enjoyed the seafood pasta, the tacos were also good, and the classic burger is a solid order too. Our waitress was attentive and checked on us often. Great for any group size, date night, girls night, or even a guys night, there's something for everyone. Prime location, highly recommend, will be back.

    Beet Salad and Dry Martini

Accidentally alone this evening, I bellied up to the bar at Prasino for a martini and the beet and burrata salad. From the outside, Prasino is somewhat unassuming. Inside, however, the restaurant is alive with energy--a pleasant buzz of conversation and activity that somehow feels both vibrant and comfortable. After a full day of travel, made even more memorable by my local ride getting two flat tires on the way to pick me up, I arrived tired, frustrated, and ready for the day to be over. Within minutes, that feeling had disappeared. The martini was perfectly prepared, and the beet and burrata salad was fresh, balanced, and exactly the light meal I was hoping to find. More importantly, the atmosphere accomplished something great restaurants rarely get credit for: it changed my mood. What began as an evening I hadn't planned to spend alone became one I genuinely enjoyed. As someone who spends a great deal of time traveling for work, I visit plenty of restaurants that are perfectly fine and quickly forgotten. Prasino won't be one of them. If you find yourself in St. Charles--especially after a long day--grab a seat at the bar, order a martini, and let the place work its magic!

We were a group of 5 and this restaurant has a fun vibe. We started with two appetizers, the garlic hummus with extra pita and a volcano roll. The garlic hummus was 5 stars. I like how they added feta cheese and tahini to the hummus plus it included whole chick peas. Incredible flavors! The volcano roll contained fried lobster, shrimp, avocado, sriracha and mayonnaise. The lobster was a little chewy. Usually you steam/boil lobster. I give the volcano roll a 3.5 stars. I ordered the Margherita flatbread. It had lots of sliced cherry tomatoes which was nice. If I order it again I would ask for light cheese and to make sure the crust is crispy. I give the Margherita flatbread 4 stars. Then we ordered 4 desserts which we all shared. We ordered the creme brûlée, pistachio tiramisu, molten cake and the banana nutterbutter cheesecake. For me the winner was the molten cake. It is a warm flourless chocolate cake with caramel sauce and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. I'm not a big chocolate person but it was outstanding. Very rich. This dessert was a definite 5 stars. My next favorite was the creme brûlée. The pudding was tasty. The glazed sugar on top should be a little thicker. I would give this dessert 5 stars. My next favorite was the banana nutterbutter cheesecake. I like bananas and I like nutterbutter cookies and I like cheesecake. In this instance I think less is more. This dessert is heavier. I give this dessert 4 stars. The pistachio tiramisu was different. I was expecting a pistachio flavor in the tiramisu but pistachio nuts were on top of the tiramisu. It was ok and why it received 3 stars. We received good service. He matched our cadence from appetizers to entrees to desserts.

I always enjoy going to Prasino for brunch! They have a nice restaurant space with plenty of seating for large and small group. There is also a cute bar area if you wanna stop in just for drinks. In the St. Charles area there's plenty of parking outside the restaurant, which is another bonus. The staff is always very friendly and service is always fast and efficient. I came in with a larger group for lunch and this impacted service time a little bit, but our waiter was very communicative throughout our visit. I think they take reservations in advance so if you have a larger group and come on a busier night, that may be helpful. I always enjoy their pancake breakfast with potatoes and eggs. I wish there were a few more non-meat options for breakfast items but everything is pretty tasty. The pancakes are huge! And I love their drink offerings as well.

    Steak Tacos

I was traveling out here from California and Prasino far exceeded my expectations. Customer service was excellent, classy atmosphere, and I ordered the steak tacos and a drink and it was honestly great. This was my favorite spot that I visited while I was here.

Beautiful place to come grab food with friends or loved one. The vibes are laid back, but upscale on a budget. The interior is clean, modern and warm. I love that the natural lights comes in through one of the many windows they have. The wine walls add a nice touch for photos. Service was quick. Our server was amazing, and one of the best servers i ever had. He was attentive to our needs, and offered suggestions for food recommendations. I ordered the raspberry stuffed French toast with a side of bacon. The French toast was fluffy, not overly sweet and flavorful. The bacon was cooked perfectly with a slight crunch. I also ordered a pineapple mimosa, that was delicious and refreshing. This is definitely a place to come to when you want to go to brunch, lunch or simply just vibe with friends. Not to mention, they are Gluten free friendly!

If you're in the Saint Charles area, this is a must do! Stopped in for happy hour after work. I had their reasoning, their beef tenderloin, sliders, and truffle fries. The space is so nice and open and clean. Very uplifting environment. People at the bar had a good vibe. And those sliders I will dream about! You must get them.

Prasino Burger and Roasted Butternut Squash

The Prasino burger was on another level. The bread was soft, not too thick and the burger itself was juicy and so good. The tomato jam and picked onions were a unique combination that complemented the burger so well. One of the best burgers I've had in a while. And don't get me started on the butternut squash- so good and seasoned so well. The downside was that it took us 15 minutes for a server to come and wait on us, but I still give 5 stars because the food was excellent and once we were waited on, our server was very nice. It was a busy Saturday for what it's worth- so that's probably what the holdup was.

Beautiful space, fabulous staff, great food. We were happy to find everything we needed to put together our gluten & dairy free meals. Food was fresh and prepared to order. The coffee was delicious! We would definitely return!

We have been regular brunch customers here for several years. We came to know our menu favorites and preferences. We arrived early on a Sunday morning, well ahead of the brunch crowd, only about 6-7 tables occupied. The hostess, who absolutely refused to smile or act pleasant at all, seated us quickly. Our server was great, very attentive and offering suggestions and answering our questions. The food took what felt like a fairly long time to arrive. We weren't in a hurry, so it was no problem, but unusual from our previous experiences. When the food arrived, my go to, the Green Chili Pork Skillet, showed up on a plate instead of the usual mini cast iron skillet. Also noteworthy was the juice present on the plate. A hallmark of something that has been refrigerated and then reheated. The potatoes, normally seasoned to perfection and crispy, were soggy from the juice! This is a much different dish than previously delivered. My wife's eggs Benedict was served on a half croissant, only half!!! Where was the other half? The prices here are not low, but we have typically paid knowing we were going to get delicious food and good service. The food preparation has changed significantly. We are unlikely to return for another $100 brunch. Sorry to say as this was one of our favorite brunch spots.

The Greek salad is not worth getting as it is super small and there is no salad. It is basically olives and cucumbers.

Ask the Community - Prasino St. Charles

What's the best item on the dinner menu?

It was the short rib, but they took it off the menu and replaced it with the short rib tacos which are not as good.

    Is there outdoor seating?

There is but it's enclosed for the fall/winter

Can you only order breakfast until 3pm?

They have brunch offered until 3pm. So you have the option of breakfast and lunch.

Do they have breakfast everyday or just weekends?

They offer a breakfast menu daily

Do they always automatically add 20% tip to your bill?

I believe it is only on large parties. I just pulled up a receipt from August and I did not have a 20% tip on it. But that would have most likely been a 2 person party.

Is there a happy hour, or a night when wine is 1/2 off bottles?

They do have a happy hour but I do not recall the details of their happy hour. I remember some items being half off but not sure if it was wine bottles or just glasses of wine.

Since our table wasn't ready, we decided to grab a drink at the bar. The Una Vida Margarita was absolutely perfect, made just to my liking. Shortly after we got our drinks, our table was ready, so we quickly moved to our seats. We started with the Scallops Scampi, which was a delightful combination of light breading and tender scallops. The rolls and butter were incredibly addictive. The Caesar salad was generously topped with shredded Parmesan cheese and had a creamy dressing. For my main course, I opted for the lobster combo, which included a 6-ounce filet, lobster tail, and three shrimp scampi. Why settle for just one when you can have them all? The filet was cooked to perfection and accompanied by a generous scoop of Tony's signature steak butter, which was simply delicious. The lobster tail was equally impressive, whether enjoyed on its own or with a squeeze of lemon and the butter draw they offer. The shrimp scampi had the same breading as the scallops and was just as tasty. Throughout our meal, we couldn't resist trying a few Una Vida shots. As always, they hit the spot perfectly. The server was fantastic and attentive, making sure to keep us well-catered to. He even joined in on our laughter throughout the evening. Overall, it was an incredible dining experience. It was our first time dining at Tony's on Main for dinner, and we're already planning our next visit.

The building does a lot of the work here: an old place sitting in the middle of Old Town Florissant's residential blocks, with a bar, a dining room, a porch, and a patio we didn't get to use (next cool evening, we will). It's charming, and a real asset to that neighborhood. It is also loud. Old plaster, hard surfaces, not enough hung on the walls to absorb any of it. The old fashioned was solid, sweeter than I prefer. Appetizers were the low point: toasted ravioli thick and hard enough to qualify as gum scratchers (filling was fine), flatbread middle of the road. Then the kitchen found its footing. Parmesan-encrusted chicken won the table, with a nice rice-orzo pilaf and green beans that weren't overcooked. The Jameson whiskey burger came blue cheese, bacon, crispy onions, glaze, brioche, and ate dry (although ordered medium): too many rich flavors, nothing acidic to cut through them. Burnt ends mac and cheese was good and rich, but the brisket wasn't tender as I had hoped. We caught a night with only one dessert (a moist Lemon Sunshine cake that tasted like a Dreamsicle) and ice cream to put beside it. Christy took good care of us, efficiently and strictly by the book. 3.7 out of 5 stars Punch up the apps, and bring some balance to some of the entrees and this would bring up my rating to the low 4s. Bring the relatives who flinch at a menu. Acid somewhere on the plate, tender brisket, ice cream by the cake, and something soft on those walls would move this up quickly.
