I really like that this place took over the old IHOP because it still keeps the classic charm of serving American Breakfast/ Lunch, but it's better because they're incorporating flavors that are indicative of its surrounding area. Like they kept true to the breakfast, and it's very standard, but their experimentation comes in the form of intergrading Mexican dishes into their menu. It says a lot of about how this place serves its community. I see a lot of families come in, so that tells me it's familiar and easy to navigate. I liked the coffee. Service - the waitress was not happy she looked annoyed and not happy to be there. Ambience -it was 3pm. The place was empty. Maybe 3 tables with 2 or 3 people each it smelled greasy. Food - my husband got chicken scramble with hash browns and it was super greasy it left a bad after taste. Not good. I got agua de Jamaica served n a medium Maison jar cup which was pure sugar and not good for 5.99 (too much $$) the photo looked pretty. I also got the potato tacos with their "signature red sauce" I had a choice of red or green sauce I asked for half and half but they said no. I got the mild red sauce and for extra money a side of their signature spicy one. They were greasy and the sauce was not good it did not seem like the tomato was fresh and it was like canned salsa with a slimy texture. When we left my hair smelled like grease. TikTok failed me! Saw this place advertised as amazing and delicious... maybe the cook was having an off day but nothing we had was worth the hype. Ordered the "chilaquiles" and they were more like nachos with a sprinkle of salsa. They were more smothered in cheddar cheese. Wish I would've taken a photo of the sad looking dish. Had asked for over medium eggs, they brought me scrambled orange colored eggs. The "horchata" iced coffee had no taste of horchata... just coffee with milk. So we sat down, large party took a reasonable amount of time. The service was okay it was memorial day so we expected a little delay though this one seemed long even for the occasion. The food however, fell short of any expectations. The water tastes like it's dirty and from an unfiltered tap. The "bbq" burger had basically no sauce. The machaca beef had that same taste as the water. The rice and beans were good and so were the conchas. However, someone in my party ordered asada fries that came with just little sauce and beef. The menu states that they're "loaded" with guacamole, cheese, salsa, sour cream, and the asada. There was no cheese, the beef looked overdone, no guacamole, no sour cream, and a small pour of rationed sauce. Another party member regretably ordered chicken and waffles. The waffles didn't seem to be bad, but the chicken had a negative taste. They said the chicken tasted burnt and overcooked. Another 2 members ordered burgers which were stated to not be bad on flavor, but the buns were said to have an old feel as if they'd been in a bag for months and weren't even warmed up. I used to come here since I was in college with my parents and the food was always amazing. The former manager would walk around and check in on you. Sadly she doesn't work here anymore, and the service like the quality of food have become disappointing to say the least. The servers pass by they don't even ask if you need anything, so you have to track them down. I went this Sunday for breakfast, I ordered the biscuits and gravy and the steak and eggs. The biscuits were cold and stale. I spoke to the server and they did take it back to the kitchen, only to have the kitchen staff pop it in the microwave and return the same dish. After speaking to server again, they basically told me that I would not be getting fresh biscuits, and they recommended I order something else. I ended up only ordering coffee and even that tasted subpar. The second dish we ordered the steak was hard and rubbery, and hash browns were chewy and cold. We knew that it would be useless to complain so we just got the check and left. I mean for the prices they are charging the food is inadequate and just gross. read more

Definitely not worth it if the line is long. Waited an hour because of the instagram rave about this place. Hopefully it's not always this long I understand today was a holiday. We were seated right by the bathroom. Lots of places have a long strip or hallway which separates the restaurant from the bathrooms. But here, it is so small. If you get seated by the bathroom you are literally seated right next to the bathroom and the back entrance of the kitchen. But they seemed accommodating to move us if we complained but I didn't want to be that person. Ordered a half order of freshly made guacamole and chips- The avocados used were unripe because they were not creamy and 1/3 were so hard you couldn't break the chunk with the chips. boo Also ordered potato tacos which were pretty bland and kinda disappointing. I shared Hawaiian bread French toast with Nutella on the side which was good but could have been battered with more egg wash. It did take a while to get our food. We were greeted warmly as soon as we walked in and seated immediately. It seems this may have been an IHOP at some point, cute booths line the interior and some down the middle. Richard, our server, took our drink order promptly and gave us a couple of minutes to peruse the massive menu. We settled on the "most popular" Original Breakfast: 2 eggs, 2 bacon, 2 pancakes. I also ordered 2 seasonal items: Spiced Pumpkin Latte and Pumpkin Concha. The latte arrived, but not my concha. I waited awhile, not being in a hurry, but then started thinking the concha might be brought with the breakfast and I definitely wanted it ahead, as I sipped my latte. So I flagged Richard down and reminded him of my concha. He had forgot, so brought me two and didn't charge - nice! Our breakfasts did take an unusual amount of time to come out, especially since they were very basic 2x2x2. At one point Richard came over to clarify that we wanted pancakes and not hash browns, which confused us because hash browns weren't an option for what we ordered, but we confirmed pancakes. When the plates were served, they were 2 eggs - 1 over medium, 1 semi scrambled, 2 bacon, 2 pancakes AND 2 sausage. There also were remnants of hash browns. We weren't given any set ups, so I went up to the hostess station and grabbed napkins, forks and knives. We started to wonder if there was confusion with our order, and maybe dishes different from The Original Breakfast were input to the kitchen. We asked Richard about the extra sausage and he said 'it's just added as an extra, you'll be charged for the Original Breakfast.' We surmised there must be a new chef and some confusion as they learn the dishes. Since neither of us like sausage, these 4 links were a waste of food. My pancakes were thick and delicious, but hubby's were greasy tasting. Hmmm... We redeemed a Yelp! check in offer for 20% off our order and I also followed the prompt on the table to post, tag and follow on Insta for a comp dessert. Not worth the hype. We waited a long time to be seated, then another 30 minutes for food that came with plastic forks and was below average at best. I asked for the manager, and they sent a server instead. When the manager finally came, he just blamed how busy it was -- no apology, no offer to make it right.
