STEPH JUDGEMENT: Good option for French-inspired eats in downtown LB…read more The hubby and I decided to stop in for brunch since we were in the area for the World Cup watch party. We'd been here a couple of times before, but only for drinks. The interior is quaint, with pretty typical Francophilic touches (pics of Parisian landmarks, etc). I decided on the Fit crepe, which is a buckwheat crepe filled with spinach and feta. Delicious, but the crepe was a bit dry around the edges. The drip coffee I got was great, however, and the hubby enjoyed his Veggie hash. Friendly service from the two servers, but they seemed a bit stretched--maybe it was more crowded than usual due to the watch party?

Not a super huge fan of French cuisine; however, the menu looked good and mostly reasonable prices. Restaurant is super cute with indoor/outdoor seating. We started off with a bottle of cab (41.00, ouch)! It was noted as a different brand on their menu and they came with a bottle of Josh Cellars which isn't a bad table wine but about 3 times the price! We ended up ordering the fondue for the app (24.00) which comes with bite size pieces of bread and diced apples. It was ok, a little too runny and had an interesting hint of beer flavor. Next up we both ordered the brie & prosciutto sandwich which came with a side of au gratin and greens. The sandwich was excellent but the potatoes were cold. We ended our meal sharing creme brulee for dessert. It was good but also served cold. Total bill incl tip: 163.00 bucks (double ouch)! Overall, meal and service was good, but I would forego the wine on a future visit as it was way overpriced for the brand we got as well as the cheese fondue. Will definitely be back though. Very comfy and charming atmosphere.

Food was great and the ambiance is really beautiful, totally transported to a whole different location. Our server was Francis and he was phenomenal, we asked for his recommendations on starters and entrees and also for a wine. We first had the mint lemonade which was refreshing, and then had a Chablis bottle of wine to accompany the entrees. All in all, a great experience and I am glad to have finally tried this spot out! Shoutout to Francis!

I also needed to charge my laptop, but most of the outlets didn't work, and there was quite a bit of trash on the floor. This is the key place for girl dinner. We ordered the chicken pot pie appetizer, cauliflower bites, and pumpkin ravioli. All were delicious. Our server, Danny, was perfect. He didn't make us feel rushed, made sure our drinks were always full, and even suggested a dessert for us to try ( which we loved). He wasn't pushy, it was like a pal making honest suggestions.

I've been to every Halloween pop up, they have been doing this for 2 years now. I was there on Sunday 10/04 and had the MOST HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. First, it started at the enterance. My reservation was at 3:45pm. Security checked our ID's and then asked us if we had a reservation. He asked us to wait in line. We were the first ones in line with a reservation anyways and figured we would have to wait just like the others who were still waiting for their 3:30 reservation. No biggie. But. then a much larger group came and stood in front of us who had a 4pm reservation. We didn't think much of it and were waiting patiently until 3:30 and 4pm were called up first and seated before us. It wasn't even 4pm yet! Made security aware of his mistake and we barely got an apology. I let it go and still had to wait more time to be seated. So then we get seated, it takes 30 mins to just get water. No one has came around to take our order or say they will be with us in a few, nothing. As we are waiting another party of 2 come and sit next to us. They waited half the time and were helped before us!!! Welp, it gets worse you just wait. We get our food first, still no drinks. Drinks got there much later. Well, I started to eat my food cause I didn't want it to get cold. Not time to wait for drinks water will do. I bite into my pot pie it was barely warm. I decide to keep eating it until i got to end of the bite and that's when i got cold juice and the dough was mushy. I made the waitress aware (she had just taken over our table) and she put in another order. Not even 5 mins later, I get my second order. I noticed one bit was a little burnt on top but whatever at this point i'm not trying to ruin the experience for my friend. I go to pull apart my 2 bites and i notice the reason why they were stuck. The dough was RAW and the chicken inside was FROZEN. I had my friend poke it because i was shocked and couldn't belive this BS. Called the waitress over she was really sorry and i showed her how i couldn't even cut into the chicken and you could see the ice on the chicken. She offered to bring out another order but I was done. I didn't want to be disrespected yet again by this establishment. She said she would have the manager come talk to me. I didn't really care to do so but he came. He came to the table a little strong and aggressive. Telling me he actually touched the bite and it was WARM. My friend and I sat there SHOCKED! We all poked it and felt it ICE COLD!!!! So, basically calling me a liar to my face. He's telling me he will get another order out, I refused. I told him I would only pay for the 2 drinks and 1 order of the pot pies. He kept going on about how it was only the second day and he didn't hire enough staff and blah blah blah. I don't mind waiting i'm okay with that. But when others are seated before me and waited before me, then the food went from cold to FROZEN. I have a damn problem. He should've saved his "apology", if you can call it that. He did cover our 3 items which was the least he would do after all disrespect i've endured. I sat there waiting for my friend to finish her food and we finished drinks and left. Cindy our waitress took over after the first waitress left to lunch. She was really nice and none of this was her fault. I asked if I could tip her and she refused and said we didn't have to. I wanted to so I did. I insisted! At this point, the manager came around the corner and i could hear him on her about the tip. I had to intervene and tell him I WANTED TO DO THIS FOR HER. He was really out of line with her!!! She was trying to explain to him that i insisted on tipping and he was not listening to her! Get a new manager. This guy is not a people person. He's a gaslighting individual who has now cost you loyal customer. Days ago I get one of your loyal customer emails. Nice way of treating your loyal customers. P.S. It was very obvious who they wanted to seat & serve first and it wasn't the Latina and Black girl.

She was soooo kind & walked us through the menu sharing that a few items were her family recipes which is AMAZING. I ordered the breakfast chilaquiles, my man got the avocado toast & the Millionaire bacon. You guys... I've had MANY a chilaquiles in my life & when I tell you this chilaquiles was the best I've had. I got it with braised short rib ugh ABSOLUTE chefs kiss! The chips I could tell were made in house, the short rib was perfectly tender/seasoned, & the egg was perfectly runny. My boyfriend's Avocado Toast was also really good & the avocado was like whipped & fluffy which he loved. AND the Millionaire Bacon WOW she was a thick body & the perfect balance of sweet & savory! Oh lord it didn't even stop there... Dani was so sweet she literally brought us the cheese bread out just to try it AND the guava/passionfruit mousse. I just have to say that is my new favorite dessert ever it was so refreshing but also not overwhelmingly sweet. We sat out on the patio because the weather was perfect but the restaurant itself is so cute & has an intimate kind of feel. I have to say that everything tasted like it was made with love & good intentions & that really came through in the food! We can't wait to come back to try their dinner menu!
