On a recent girls weekend in Paso, we had a reservation for a seated tasting at Linne Calodo Cellars. I wish I had taken more exterior/interior pics of their tasting room which is nestled in a live oak forest surrounded by vines. The architecture is so fitting for its location, with dramatic lines, high ceilings, and soaring windows. Our server Christina, who grew up in our town of Temecula, walked us through our tasting. It was fun hearing the stories behind some of their creatively named estate grown wines - Contrarian, Level Headed (my fav), Martian...and some others that I would buy just to gift for fun to the appropriately-named people - Problem Child, Overthinker, Perfectionist, Nemesis, Sticks & Stones. One thing I didn't care for was the idea of pre-poured flights - all the wines were poured and at table when we sat down. I believe I read somewhere afterwards that we could have opted for individual pours from one glass, which is what I would recommend. It was harder to keep track of what we were all drinking with the pre-poured flight.

Didn't have a good experience here - our hostess was in a rush the entire time, came and poured our wines and left immediately after each pour rushing to the back. Personality felt cold, we didn't feel welcome, she looked like she wanted to be somewhere else - maybe just a bad day. Wines were okay, but after tasting better ones earlier we just wanted to leave as soon as we were finished. The other guy pouring to another party next to us was a lot more welcoming, warmly described each wine, welcomed questions, came and checked on them, and offered pours not part of the tasting at the end.

I have never been to a winery where I have liked each and every wine so much that I wanted a bottle of each, that was until I came to Linne Calodo. We didn't have a reservation, but called in and asked if they'd be able to take us on a Saturday morning, they said that they'd have room at their bar and if we wanted that we could come on in. We tasted at the bar with Erika and for the most part received her undivided attention. We worked our way through the tasting menu which included 5 wines and enjoyed an extra pour of their rosé, we then even got to try some of their secondary Slacker label wines as well. These wines were just as good, and at a more affordable price point. Aside from the wonderful wines and fantastic service from Erika, the tasting room was beautiful, the flights were served with marcona almonds, and we even got glimpses of their cute winery cat. Overall a fantastic visit. Since the wines were on pricier side, my bank account sadly didn't let me go home with a bottle of each like I had wanted to, but I still walked out of there with 4 wines, all of which I can't wait to drink. I'll definitely be coming back here again.

We spent a little time at this wonderful winery in Paso Robles. They have a tiny outdoor area, but very nice indoor seating . Extremely dog friendly as a matter of fact, they had a few in-house dogs roaming around. We decided to take their back table on the side of the winery so we could enjoy the charcuterie board that I had created with a Linne wine Park Party Tasting. It was so cute. Their dogs kept running over in between our legs, trying to get a little taste of the prosciutto and Gouda cheese that I had laid out. We fell in love with the 2022 rising tides , And our favorite was the 2018 Martian They also have an estate olive oil, that was so nutty, very flavorful. The service and the attitude at this winery was what every winery should aspire to be . Gracious and kind.

Beautiful tasting room and property, we brought some sandwiches and ate out on the covered patio(they don't allow food inside). It was raining but we were covered and had a nice heater on behind us. Our hostess was friendly and attentive. Linne Calodo is on the pricy side of paso but it has a long established history and really rich wines, it was nice learning about each wine and its significance on the tasting menu. I'd take my wine loving in-laws here for the yummy wines and beautiful setting. I probably would not take my first time wine tasting friends because of the bottle prices that would shock them, but it is still a very nice experience and perfect to impress any wine snobby friends you may have!

It was cool. Not much of a place for views but the wine names were a kick. I was here more than 10 yrs ago and remembered the "problem child". It was good to have it again although the price was a bit overrated. Good service but not crowded at all m, good place to escape the crowd. $20 flight tasting.

We really enjoyed this winery. Wines are great (if a little expensive). The tasting room was very nice and restful with a view of trees, so we had an enjoyable time. We visited on a Friday at 11am, so it wasn't busy. Chase was our host and he was very informative and knowledgeable. He also gave us other recommendations that we really appreciated.

Fantastic family owned, small, niche winery in Paso. They are known for their Reds, and pre-Covid they host really cool release parties. Erika guided us through a wine tasting on Easter weekend and she is super knowledgeable, personable, and representative of the Linne Calodo brand and values.

Ask the Community - Linne Calodo

Is there food available or should we bring snacks?

They do not have a kitchen on site. Typically the tastings include a small bag of macana almonds. You will LOVE the wine!! It's our favorite in all of Paso!

Do they allow dogs?

Yes, dogs are welcome on leash. We have cats and a winery dog who may be around as well. We love our furry friends!

We were told at the event that they take walk-ins, but the website emphasized reservations, so we made one just to be safe. We were greeted in the driveway by the winery dogs, a very welcoming sight! They were great leaders to the tasting room, though they stayed outside for the duration of our visit. We each did the regular flight, which was 1 white and 4 reds during our visit. We did also get an off menu taste. Our favorite from the flight was the whole cluster grenache, we ended up taking a bottle of that one home. We were helped by Erica, she was super fun to chat with and very knowledgeable about the wines. We didn't know this when booking, but the tasting flight came with a snack plate! It had bread, cheese, nuts, some dips, and olives, such a fun surprise. The property and tasting room were beautiful! I also loved that you got to see the massive steel tanks as you walked into the tasting room.

This winery is dog-friendly and has 3 friendly dogs that roam around the property. The tasting room had elegant decor with a fireplace, beautiful blue accents, and a calm ambiance. However, we chose to sit outside and the staff members quickly moved our table into the shade. They also brought out a plate of snacks to go with our wine tasting, which was such a nice touch! This included freshly baked sourdough, manchego cheese, apple butter, nuts, and olives. I can't remember which wines were my favorite (this was our second tasting of the day), but I do remember being very impressed with the lineup. Overall, Willow Creek Wine was a gem!

Sadly it was pretty chilly when we were visiting so sitting outside wasn't in the cards for us, but it was still lovely to enjoy as we checked in. We didn't have a reservation, but they were able to seat us inside the tasting room, which was lucky because they filled up very quickly after we got there. Two of us ended up sharing the classic tasting, it came with 5 wines, and we got an extra bonus pour of another wine they had open. The tasting had 1 white and 4 reds when we were in. We were helped by Emily, she was great to chat with and knew a ton about the wine, winery, and Paso. My favorite thing about the tasting was that they had a section on the menu that talked about the 2023 vintage (all but one wine we tried were from 2023) and how it differed from 2022. It was great education and information on why the wine was the way it was that year. We didn't love any of the wines enough to take them home with us, but we did find that the 23's everywhere weren't our favorites, we'll have to come back once they have a new vintage!

We also can bring a party of 6 for our tastings. Both the white and red wines are amazing. Even though Anthony (winemaker) now has his new winery (Royal Nonesuch Farms which is also incredible) he still is very involved here. The property is absolutely amazing. On our last visit, we had the pleasure of being served by Tony for the first time. Tony is great with entertaining stories and recommendations for food pairing. He even introduced us to a website with delicious Italian recipes. The wine is fairly priced considering the high quality.

Everything was just starting to reopen after the Covid shut down and the hubby and I really needed a little getaway so we decided to drive to Paso Robles. My sister recommended Brecon and said she loved it so much because of the taste, ambiance and service, she became member so we decided to add it to our trip list. Well she was right, we had such a wonderful time! We sat there, everything was quiet, outdoors (much needed then), and peaceful that we also became members! Every time we go, we have a great time! We love the wittiness in their wine description when we read the tasting menu! They're so funny! The service is on point and the wine is delicious. The winery is small and the seating is outdoors, with a very relaxed environment. It feels kind of secluded and like you walked into a beautiful park with majestic trees.
