We came to this winery on a gloomy New Year's Eve day without much of an expectation. Upon arrival we were instantly welcomed by the warmth of the staff and our personal guide, Mark. We poured us a glass of champagne and began telling us about the winery in a very personal and engaging way. We loved how in depth our discussion with Mark was, with discussions ranging from the origins of the winery, to our own preferences when it comes to wine, and so much more. After Mark left us to taste and go back between the wines that we were enjoying, he came back and asked if we wanted to receive a tour of the caves. We of course said that we would love to, and Mark took us and walked us through the caves and gave us an experience that we will never forget. I do not have more words to say how much of an amazing experience this was and how a tasting here is worth every penny. If you are ever in Paso and ever want to wine taste, please do yourself a service and go to L'Adventure. P.S. make sure you get Mark, we love him.

My third wine tasting trip to Paso Robles in the last 5 year. This time tried to explore wineries that have not been visited or recommended by friends. After doing some homework, picked this one as the 1st winery to visit. This winery offered a tasting flight that consisted of 5 wines - one Rose, 1 white and 3 reds for $50. The "Estate Rose" was refreshing on nose and on palate with medium length finish, quite a nice Rose for $38. The "Siblings" was a total surprise & it's outstanding. It's has a very pronounced black pepper aroma, which I have never experienced. On the palate, it's spicy with good complexity, medium+ length of finish, very unique & interesting wine for $98. The "Cote A Cote" was a typical GSM blend with relatively shorter finish, which is ok but not outstanding. The "Estate Cuvee" is more American like style - much more oak influence, fuller body, medium finish. it's better than the "Cote A Cote" but the price tag of $120 & $130 respectively are too high. The "Estate Reserve Blanc" was an outstanding white blend. It has beautiful and refreshing aroma, nice complexity on palate, and medium length of finish. Worth the price tag of $100. The tasting area ( like a large patio ) was roomy and comfortable, with nice open view. Service was very good. Our server was very friendly and tried her best to answer all our questions. When she knew that we loved the black pepper aroma of the "Siblings", she gave us an extra red wine of similar characteristics ( which is not on the list ) to taste, so nice! Overall the wines are good in quality compared to a lot of the other wineries in Paso, worth visiting!

We're members for a reason. Intimate, accommodating, thoughtful, and the wine is more than lovely!! Always a treat and can't wait to be back!

We came here on a wet rainy day. They covered their tasting area. We didn't let the rain put a damper on our visit. They pour the samples and let you take your time. I like this! You can go back and forth tasting. Most wineries pour, make you finish or dump and then pour the next. But having them in front lets you compare and decide. We bought several wines. They were all delicious. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful. It's a little drive to get in but it's fine. We had a young woman helping us who was excellent. She said she had worked there 2 months and was leaving soon to start grad school in another city. Anyway, there was no hard sell from her and she was really helpful. Highly recommend visiting this winery.

We heard great things about L'Aventure from my husbands boss and I believe they have some 100 points wines, so it was a must for us to try their wines. This was our last stop for the day and it didn't disappoint! The vineyard is beautiful, but the way there is a little sketchy, and that's because the road gets small and only one car at a time. Our server was great. We enjoyed their wines so much, especially their Cote de Cote and Optimus. Bought many bottles and joined their wine club! Can't wait to pick up shipment and go to their pick up party.

Our friends are members here and set up the appointment. They are adhering to Covid protocols with social distancing but still provided a tour of the facility. Tasting price is reasonable. Liked the barrel room. Really enjoyed the wines. Staff is very nice and take their time with customers even though there were multiple tastings occurring.

By appointment only. They have a wine cave which is pretty neat. The tasting was hit and miss. Walked out with their Rose which was my favorite. Nice grounds and service was friendly.

Yes believe it or not there's rose in there. This is the full pour :/

Second time coming out here wines are still consistent. Great atmosphere and the pourers this time around were much more attentive. Wines are really good quality and always have a good variety to cater to almost all pallets. My only qualm is VERY light with the pours as you can see in the pics haha. Keep us inebriated folks, makes us buy more wine, just saying.

Reservations only. They didn't turn on the heaters though it was really chilly and there was a beautiful fire pit which should have been lit but it was not. Really barren uncomfortable furniture and when we got there, they put us at the only table out of the sun and it was really cold. Also didn't have water with the tasting. And why do the Paso wineries not have a place to discard your wine if you don't want to drink it all? So the tasting at $25 is reasonable for Paso but the ambience isn't so great. You have a guide who is with you the whole time which is nice but can be awkward if you want to honestly critique a wine amongst yourselves. But our young guide was really nice and we liked him. If you like red French burgundy type wines you will like this. I'm not so big on the French style but wanted to explore again. They do start with a Provence style Rose which was quite nice. The wine I liked best was inspiración but you can't purchase that unless you join their premium tier wine club. I do love that the founder was the guy that started to break the rules and got some cool blends started in Paso which go towards the Spanish style. But we didn't join just because it wasn't our style wine. And out of the four tastings we did that weekend, this was the least impressive in terms of presentation.

We're absolutely obsessed with L'Aventure! Our hosts Grace, Kate, and David were so lovely - They treated us so well and made us feel right at home! My fiancé and I both agree these were our favorite wines of the trip. Everything from the setting to the wines to the service felt so purposeful and intentional. Already planning our trip back!

We came on a Sunday afternoon, gotta make reservations. Gotta ask for Leanne for the full experience. The back room was so nice and private, perfect ambiance. Such a clean place and unique vibe. Deep full body reds. Beautiful property. Lovely staff. Will definitely come back and purchase bottles. My favorite was sibling and optimus

A private estate at the end of a road. Press a button and the door swings open to admit people with appointments. One of the four French families in the area, known as the French mafia, this French winemaker arrived from St. Emilion, chafing at the French rules and looking for freedom (and lots of land at a good price). A wonderful modern cave, modern feel, the wine stewards leave you to your own to figure it out. This is not necessarily a bad thing but the wines are so young it is hard to assess their relative strengths and weaknesses at this early stage. We could have used more attention. The highest price for the most austere experience.

Just stunning wines. Maddux was a great host--knowledgeable, easy to chat with, and warm. After our tasting he briefly showed us the caves, which was a special treat. Of all the wines we tasted this trip, L'Aventure was the standout. Great communication prior to our trip, as well. Oh, and they're dog friendly!

We are the type of members who always take great care of the staff and rarely leave without purchasing extra bottles, yet today we were treated like an inconvenience. Despite being told in the past that spontaneous visits were no problem for members, we were turned away on a gloomy Monday with plenty of open tables. The host at the entrance was incredibly dismissive and wouldn't even let us finish our sentence before cutting us off. We were told our only options were to come back in an hour, a "limited" tasting, drive all the way downtown, or just pick up our shipment and leave. We asked for the Wine Club Manager to resolve the situation, but she wasn't on-site. To be offered a "partial" tasting as a favor after nearly ten years of support was the final straw. It feels as though they now prioritize "closing" new members over honoring the people who have supported them for years. They've gone mainstream and lost the personal touch that made them special.

I had the opportunity to stay at the Summerwood Inn in Paso Robles, CA and fell in love with it. It has to be one of my favorite places to stay. The Inn itself and my room were so inviting and relaxing. The bed and comforter were very comfortable. There's nothing worse than a bad sleep on a vacation and wanting to go home to your own bed. I didn't want to leave this one. They did have a wifi and a desk so that I could check my email, but I was barely on the computer because there was too much to enjoy. My room overlooked this courtyard which was even more beautiful at night. Behind the Inn was the winery. It was so peaceful. Chef Kelly Wangard is responsible for the decorating and the amazing cuisine. She also won Cut Throat Kitchen. We were watching the Food Network and the repeat came on. I got this great pic of Kelly watching herself. There is a reason Kelly won. Her food is so delicious. You could order breakfast the night before and it was prepared for you in the morning. The Eggs Benedict just melted in your mouth and it was served with a side of greens and potatoes. In the evening Kelly had wine and h'ordeuvres for us and dessert, coffee, and tea in the evening.
