We always stop at Jada when we visit Paso. Most of their wines are rating in the mid-upper 90s, well deserved and worth tasting/purchasing. When we were planning this trip months ago, I discovered Jada was celebrating their 25th Anniversary with a Wine Dinner. What a wonderful way to enjoy wines, paired with amazing dishes, and an evening with beautiful surroundings! We met the original family and the new family owners of Jada along with staff members. Everyone was very friendly! The GM Josh (son from the OG family), Winemakers, and staff have stayed on thru the transition. In addition, the new owners have acquired another winery close by and plan to open a restaurant and sister the two wineries! Double the tastes? We were very fortunate to be offered many library wines and older vintages. SawBones (Syrah-Cab Blend) remains my personal favorite but many of their wines are just too good not to bring home for future enjoyment. Their blends are amazing along with their WSC Cabernet (98 points). We really liked the Viognier and bought several bottles, and we rarely buy whites! We did a wine tasting here in the Tree House in a group of 8. One thing that drew me to Jada was that it had the option of cheese pairings with the wine tasting and it was reasonably priced. Our host did a beautiful job of explaining each cheese and wine pairing, the black gouda stood out to us the most -- we had never seen a cheese like that and it was our favorite in terms of taste! Overall the cheese/chocolate pairings were very well thought out and unique. The experience felt special for our group since no one else was in the tree house patio area. We did wine tasting as a large group and booked the private tasting area. The view was amazing and the place is gorgeous! The wine tasting comes with six wines. And we also got a bonus red wine in the end~ The tasting sequence comes in twos. I don't know if this is a private area tasting protocol or a common practice here. Either way I like this practice because it offers comparison between categories and ignites more conversation. I also love that they offer cheese/charcuterie according to their tasting menu. Each pairing is clearly stated on the menu and it's very easy to follow. Also wanna notes that our plates are combined (we ordered 3 or 4 to share and they combined into two plates so it probably seems like a lot of food). I enjoy their wine selections very much. And the cheese plate is a huge plus on the experience! Service is attentive and great. Staff knows the wine very well and offers great insight. If you have a large group for wine tasting I recommend the private area with a view and privacy. read more

Jada was our second stop of the day and we had made a reservation for the treehouse. There is an indoor section with air conditioning if the heat is too much for you, but the view of the vineyards from the patio is stunning. This tasting was a little different from the others we did that weekend. There are 6 wines that are delivered in pairs. There is also an optional charcuterie pairing, which we ordered ahead of time. Our servers were very knowledgeable and friendly and told us how the board paired with the wines. The charcuterie and wines paired really well, but the charcuterie overshadowed the wine at times. It felt like the charcuterie was the star of the show (it was a really good board) when we came for the wine. The wines weren't our favorite that we had that weekend, but we still had a great time. read more

On a cold and rainy day, we weren't able to sit outside on their glorious and rustic grounds at Jada, so my party of 5 sat upstairs on their covered patio with heat lamps and furnished blankets. Brrrrr The experience is lovely. Service, wine tasting ($25), setting -- so nice. They don't serve food, but they allow outside grub. We took sandwiches from Vivant Cheese, and gobbled them down in-between tastings. Recommend, but maybe, wait for a warmer day. read more

We visited for the first time recently and enjoyed our experience! Service was really good and we liked all the wines. We also appreciated the stories behind the names of the wines. The owner was a heart doctor, so there's some fun little anecdotes! The winery itself is beautiful and the grounds are well kept. It was a bit cold when we arrived and our host was very kind and got us some blankets and pulled up the heat lamp. I appreciated being able to try 6 of the wines during the tasting flight. I'm usually not super big on reds, but I loved the ones here! I definitely recommend coming to this winery! read more

Such a cute winery! I can't wait to go back in the summer time! I made a reservation on their website for a tasting on the treehouse deck (no deposit needed which is always nice). Different areas on their estate property seem to open up when the weather gets warmer. It's such a gorgeous property. The treehouse gave us an amazing view of their grape vines. They offer free electric car charging :). My friend and I chose their estate tasting flight for $25. So reasonable for their award winning wines! Our favorites were their hell's kitchen and strayts. One tasting fee is waived when you purchase two bottles. We also ordered their charcuterie platter and were pleasantly surprised by their unique cheeses! The tasting flight menu gave us recommendations of how to taste our wines with the cheeses. It was so much fun. Highly recommend you visit Jada! It's officially on my favorites list :-). read more

Came here for the first time with a friend for a little girls trip and we had a great time! I have to say our time started off a little rough as we waited ~20 min after being seated to start the tasting but their staff was very apologetic and comped one of our tastings. Our sweet wine educator also brought out some free charcuterie items to pair with our wine and olive oil that's made from olives grown on their land! She was very attentive and incredibly knowledgeable in the history of Jada and its owner, the different wines we were tasting, and in general wine making which was nice to learn about! Her teachings made our tasting extra special and I wish I remembered her name to give her credit!! Driving up to the tasting room through the olive trees and vineyard was beautiful and the view from the patio was equally nice. I definitely recommend visiting Jada for a wonderful experience. read more

the grounds are beautiful, and there are many different seacting areas - tasting room, tasting room patio, and three different outdoor areas underneath beunti full trees and with elevated ourdoor furniture. Sort of felt like a luxury resort. Our server was incredibly knowledgeable about the area not just the wines. The tasting was $50 so among a handful of higher cost tastings (Daou, Booker, Justin, Law) but this is more of a Booker-like scale vs. the more commercial Daou and Justin. *Note, I don't review the wines themselves - palate are so different that what is amazing to me might be awful for you, so I just review ambiance and service. The wine tasting experience was fun. The service was good, the charcuterie board paired well with the wines and the views were nice. The wines were decent, had some potential I felt to improve, but nothing really stood out to me personally as great. Everyone has a different opinion and some of my great friends loved the wine here. But it's not for me. I recently heard that San Antonio Wines (makers of Stella Rosa) bought Jada out. Great for the founder of Jada, but for me, this means I won't be coming back. read more

Our first wine stop for the day! There's a gate you need to go through and if you're the first appointment of the day, the gate isn't open. Don't press the buttons or call them, supposedly they will open for you. My husband got impatient and started pressing the call box and they had to restart the opening gate process. Lol. They have a nice deck overlooking the vineyard. We did the wine tasting flight and found some wines we liked and bought 4 bottles. Your tasting flight ($25) is waived with 2 bottle purchase. The cheese platter ($10) was sort of sad looking, most of the cheeses were hard, but they were still good. Not what I was expecting though, thought more of like a cheese charcuterie platter type of deal. Overall, we enjoyed the wines and views. Make sure to make reservations. read more

Such a wonderful view, vibe, and service! Very relaxing to be outdoors on their patio doing a tasting. Our server was incredible and so so knowledgeable. You could tell he really enjoys what he does. Presentation of the wine tasting itself was great as well. Loved having a visual guide for each wine. We ended up tasting about 7 different wines. Although they were not all great (in my taste opinion), I know that many could be enjoyed by others. I really did love their red cabs! Each cab I tasted was better than I had expected. This was the most in depth tasting experience I've had. Our server was unhurried, thorough, and attentive. She made us feel like we understood the full history of the Paso region, their winery, and their founder's story. The wines tasted incredible and the views from the top deck were gorgeous overlooking the vines. We had to wait for a while to be served, and our server comped one of our tastings which was so kind! She also brought us chocolate, berries, and nuts to show us how they changed the flavors of the wines, and allowed us to try their olive oil they grow on the grounds! 10/10 experience, there's over 200 wineries in Paso but I hope to return to this one. read more

Let me begin this review by saying that the staff here is amazing!! One staff member is usually only in charge of 3 tables at a time, so you will usually be given a lot of attention and time with the staff! The wine tasting we did gave us 6 tastings (plus one bonus for Valentine's weekend)! Jada had many unique red wines, and unfortunately, none of them really fit our tastes or felt very memorable, but we still enjoyed tasting all of them! The tasting area is partially outdoors but also fully covered! You get a great view of their property, and it was truly a great experience! Would recommend for anyone looking to drive a little bit further for a more private and quiet tasting! read more

She then took us to a seating area and left us there unattended for 20 min. After 2 wine tastings and 40 min later we finally had to get up and ask to be done. Sub par wines and even worse staffing. They are known for their Rhone/Bordeaux wines. We had reservations for Saturday 1:30pm but had to wait maybe 5-10 min until our table was available. It was a busy day. They wouldn't let us move to another table away from the wind. It was a very windy day. There was maybe like 8 tables outdoors. There's no seating indoor. We think it's because they already kind of wiped the table down. We didn't mind moving the glasses/menu and wiping the table down ourselves.... They were nice to pour us a complimentary viognier while we waited. It was good. Tasting was $25 for 6 wines. They give generous pours, but the wines weren't for our palate. All the reds were fruit forward but very tannic. Rose wasn't bad either. The whites were better than the reds. Our male host was knowledgable. I don't think you can bring food here. If you like tannic, then this is the winery for you. read more

The scenery was nice but not quite as grand as some of the other wineries that are perched a bit higher. The wines were also decent, but verging on the pricier side. Paso Robles is my new favorite wine country in California and Jada ranks in my top 3 wineries that I've visited. This winery is one of the smaller ones I have visited, but it sure packs a punch. I fell in love with their wines so much that I walked away with two bottles and their wines are NOT cheap at all. The whole experience of wine tasting at this winery was amazing from start to finish. Our server (his name escapes me) was so friendly and accommodating, and he was also very knowledgeable about the wines we tasted and wine in general. I didn't taste anything that I didn't like, but I ended up purchasing the WCS Tannat (they are one of the few wineries in the country that grows Tannat and does it really well) and the girlfriend got a bottle of their Rose, which was not on the tasting menu but our server was kind enough to have us taste for free anyway. Jada is the definition of how service at a winery should be despite the current situation. It also helps that their tasting room and the surrounding scenery are very pretty. You don't get a view of the whole city of Paso Robles; instead you get rolling hills of vineyards which is something I don't think I'll ever get tired of looking at. read more
