Why more people don't know about Sixmilebridge is a sin. A standout in Paso, the staff and the property are stunning, friendly, elegant, yet very relaxed. We had the amazing experience of being one of the first guests to do a barrel tasting with the assistant wine maker herself, Lindsay. She is warm while simultaneously educational and really took the time to share with us all they do at Sixmilebridge. Our tasting was just as wonderful with Tracy, walking us through the wines, the story, and things to know about Paso. 10/10 - can't wait to come back.

My husband and I had a delightful experience visiting this winery. Our hotel in Paso Robles, Hotel Cheval, recommended we include this stop for tasting. We were initially very interested in the name of the winery as another reason to stop in but we were absolutely won over by the wines, beautiful setting, interesting architecture of the tasting room, the warm and inviting welcome we received by Jamie and the owner. The story of the name is pretty great, though. We will be back with our wine drinking Irish friends (we have many), for sure! The wine will get us there, the story telling will have us lingering. Highly recommend!!

Had a sensory tasting experience yesterday with my co workers, and it was wonderful. Beautiful charcuterie, amazing and different wines, and our hosts Rosemary and Jamie were so knowledgeable but fun and personable. Our group took home 7 bottles, we really enjoyed the experience.

We booked the "wine tasting and lunch", which was a 90 minute experience on their patio ($40). When we arrived, we were greeted with the first wine on the tasting list, which was the Grenache (pretty good, different than what I normally go for). The patio had a nice view of the rolling hills and we could see goats running across them in the distance. The tasting consisted of 4 wines, and we also got a bonus pour. Our host was friendly and knowledgeable, and I really enjoyed the wine selection, especially the "Messer" red. We also ordered lunch, and both my Harvest Salad and Parmesan Fries were very tasty. The grounds were nice, but not quite as breathtaking as some of the other vineyards I've seen in the area. Overall though, a good experience!

From the moment we drove in, the experience felt elevated--being greeted with a glass of rosé right at arrival set the tone perfectly. The property itself is stunning, with architecture that feels like a modern twist on a Frank Lloyd Wright design--clean lines, expansive glass walls, and uninterrupted views of the rolling vineyard-covered hills. After walking up the long staircase (worth every step), we were met with breathtaking views that made it hard to focus on anything else--until the tasting began. Peggy, our server, was incredible. Her knowledge and storytelling brought the entire experience to life. She shared detailed insights about the wines and the owners, from their background in geology to how they carefully selected this unique property. It made every sip feel intentional and meaningful. And the wine--wow. Easily some of the best we've had in a long time. Every pour was exceptional, but we loved it so much we had to take a couple bottles home--especially the Chardonnay and the Sagacious red blend. Already looking forward to enjoying them again with good friends and great food. This wasn't just a tasting--it was an experience. Highly recommend if you're in Paso Robles.

If you are looking for a wine pairing with food, where the wine works with the food, this is one of the places in Paso Robles you need to visit. Make a reservation - the food is custom prepared. Be willing to go with the flow. You aren't getting hamburgers here - you are getting actual haute cuisine. Cutting edge stuff. If you are willing to give it a try, your mouth will water. The pairings are just so good. The valley view, the cats, the staff are just so friendly and attentive. We joined the wine club a few years ago, and came today and were not disappointed. The lunch entree was a Chili Verde Pork Tamale for example. You are probabaly asking what does that taste like - my answer is that it tasted wonderful.

Le Cuvier is up at the top of the hill with sweeping views of the whole valley. It's a narrow, winding path to get to the top so drive carefully! Once you arrive, its a colorful, quirky, nature-filled, calm retreat. We got to meet both friendly winery cats, Otis and ( swear I thought I'd remember the other one's name!) Cat presence always gets extra points from me. We were seated on the large shaded outdoor patio, and we were the only customers there. It was late in the day and I guess the midday rush had all just vacated at once. Our server was really great at describing the winemaking process, flavor profiles and history of the winery, but the patio was completely silent. We took out a phone to play our own music and she commented that her mother did the same thing when she visits. Dining experiences need music! If they're aware of this, I hope they consider adding some soft music for a more comfortable ambiance. Wines - All of the wines here are natural, which not many wineries can claim in this area, and I tasted some very unique blends like nothing I've tasted before. My favorite was the Syrah, but the rest of the wines weren't really my style. Food - The menu is changed regularly and it's obvious that the chef enjoys putting it together! We didn't get to try the ramen that my friend raved about because of the new menu, but we loved the mini "street taco" tostada and the spam maki. I did think some dishes would have been better served hot, like the orange-glazed chicken thigh. This was such a cool, unique experience and it sounds like you'll never have the same experience twice! Would recommend to anyone.

What we didn't expect was to be completely blown away. The facility is on the smaller side without a lot of frills, but honestly that's part of the charm. The staff are warm and genuine, and you can feel their pride in both the winery and the wines they produce. The focus here is on GSM blends and other Rhône varietals, along with Bordeaux blends and varietals -- big, bold, and fruit-forward, but balanced enough to keep things interesting glass after glass. We had such a great experience that we joined the wine club before we left. We don't live locally, but the Ecluse Enthusiast membership is absolutely worth it -- especially with only a 6-bottle annual commitment. It's given us a great reason to make Paso an annual trip, and Ecluse is always one of our must-stop favorites. Since joining, the winery has gone through some exciting changes. They've built out a beautiful terrace overlooking the vineyard, and they were acquired by Thibido Winery. We were a little nervous about what that might mean for the brand we loved, but they've stayed true to keeping both labels separate and distinct -- and we've only benefited from it, since we now get to taste wines from both when we come for our annual pickup. We can't wait to spend more time on that terrace during our next visit. If you're putting together a Paso Robles wine itinerary, Ecluse deserves a spot on it.
