Great wine, beautiful environment, and fun tasting experience. We came as a large group wine tasting and our tasting guide handled everything super well. Very attentive and comes in for more wine pours at the perfect moment. She is knowledgeable about all the wines and is incredibly fun. Her humor definitely made the experience casual and relaxing~ The wine tasting comes with a series of 5 of their signatures. They are all absolutely amazing but the one stands out the most is the Viognier, it's delightful to sip under the sun~ The tasting is reasonably priced and you can comp the tasting if you buy two bottles. I had a great time here and will definitely stop by again if I'm in the area~

We've come to Brecon twice now, and it has quickly become one of my favorite spots in the area, and a go-to recommendation for friends visiting Paso. The property is beautiful, the service wonderful, and the wines fantastic. Not to mention, they have a winery cat, that was nice enough to grace us with its presence on both visits! Their tasting room is on the smaller side, but their outdoor area has plenty of comfortable seating, with an elevated, yet oh so relaxed vibe. They have picnic tables closer to the entrance, and big couches by the tasting room. Both times we've come we had a reservation, the first time we ended up modifying it last minute to add more people and the second we made a last minute reservation, and each time they were more than happy to welcome us in. On our last visit we were helped by Sian, who was so fun to chat wine, Paso, and life with. She was knowledgeable about the wines and winery, and gave great service. They have a nice variety of reds and whites here, on our last visit we took 2 of each home with us, and on the first visit one of each.

We loved the outdoor seating under the oaks and birdwatching. The tasting room is small and friendly. We had a sweet and hospitable server named Cheryl. She did a great job serving, as it got busier, didn't miss a beat. Sydney the winery cat ‍ came to see us. Loved that. The charcuterie tray was simple & hit the spot during our tasting. A little cheese knife set came as a gift. Nice !! Overall the wines were good & we purchased a white and a red to take home.

Had a wonderful experience at Brecon. The wine is complex with wonderful blends, we enjoyed every pour. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, always willing to answer questions or tell a funny story. The setting is beautiful, with a very nice outdoor seating area. This winery is definitely worth a visit.

Probably one of my favorite wineries! Not only do they have a beautiful location and vineyards, but I absolutely love their wine. The Bordeaux blends are some of my favorites. Honestly can't go wrong with any of their wines. Every server we had exhibited great knowledge of each wine. A very welcoming and relaxing environment.

Breton Estate is the home of the original Norman Vineyards. The new owners have renovated the tasting room and grounds and the property is beautiful and inviting. The wines are stunning and the service is as well! We were greeted by Cheryl as we walked up the tranquil tree lined path to the tasting room. She is warm and welcoming and quickly suggested we find a seat and returned with ice cold water and menus. The list of wines is brief but excellent and we had a wonderful tasting under the trees. Tips: Make an appointment on Tok on the winery website for your tasting. Indoor seating is available but limited. Plenty of outdoor seating. Dogs on leash are allowed. Charcuterie is available but limited. No deli case so bring a picnic or snacks. This is a MUST STOP for tasting while in Paso Robles! Cheers!

Gorgeous spot with amazing wines tasted! Cheryl made it so fun! Ask about the story behind their wine 42!!

Came here end of August when we had time for 1 winery on first day in Paso. Our friend recommended Brecon, so we called and luckily they said we can come in. Rachel was the one who my BF spoke to and was the one who seated us right when we got there. She was very welcoming and really nice. They got a bit busy, so we got our second and the rest of our pours from Pat. Pat was fantastic! He knew his stuff. We also got to know him a little bit on a personal level, which Is always nice. We were the last customers and we did not feel rushed what so ever! Definitely coming back here! The wines were good, I liked their Grenache and Forty -two and some of their reds. We ended up getting two bottles, one 2017 forty-two and their 2017 Estate Reserve Cab (without trying it). The location is nice but no reception! TIP/FYI: *Check in before getting here. You get a free tasting offer if you check in on yelp! I didn't know until I checked in when we left (finally had signal) *$20 tasting for 5 pours. *tasting is waived if you purchase two bottles *no reception

When we arrived, I learned that groups of seven or more get charged an extra $10 per person--a $70 fee that essentially wiped out my complimentary member tastings. Six people? No charge. Seven? That'll be $70. What?! For literally ZERO increase in service or experience. They're walking around a table, pouring a thimble of wine in a glass...that one extra person apparently necessitates a $70 fee. Here's the kicker: we were the only people in the tasting room for the entire two hours we were there. No crowd to manage, no strain on resources. And our group bought nine bottles of wine. The "thank you" for bringing in new customers and making purchases was a surprise $70 surcharge. I emailed to cancel my membership, thinking someone might reach out to try to keep a five-year member. Instead, I got a polite apology and a cancellation confirmation--from the GM and Winemaker, no less. No offer to waive the fee, no credit, nothing. They let a long-time member walk over $70. I noticed another Yelp review complaining about this exact same policy. So it's not just me--and apparently that feedback hasn't prompted any change. That says a lot. In a region overflowing with great wineries that actually value their members, I can't recommend this one. Policies like this, combined with zero effort to retain loyal customers, tell you everything you need to know about how they view the people who support them.

The tasting menu consisted of 9 wines, 1 white and 8 reds. Since we had another winery or two ahead of us, we opted to share. My boyfriend was skeptical about sharing at first, but he ended up glad we did because the pours were a pretty decent size. They also had a wall of olive oils and balsamics that you could taste. The person who served us was solid and attentive and worked to our timing to get next winery. Also had some knowledge of other wineries which was nice to hear. Wines unfortunately didnt live up to my expectations. The roussanne was good a good start but my palate didn't connect with the reds very well. The 2018 Gernache was downright awful. The last two reds were good but nothing worth taking home unfortunately. With all the good reviews I was hoping my palate would experience what other had experienced. As with all wine reviews I do, I will always encourage people to try this winery for themselves as its a small business and we need to do all we can to support them. Just the drive up to HR was wonderful, rising higher and higher up the mountain to reach the place. I was jokingly telling my wife trying to be snooty, I don't drink wine from the lower elevation Paso, lol! Super large estate with such a beautiful building for indoor and outdoor seatings. Was amazing just driving up the property to the tasting room. Had made reservation online ahead of time, since was in Paso to check out the sensorio thing on a Saturday in mid March. Don't think I've really been to winery to do tasting, but this was one place I wanted to come to after tasting their "Ancestor" at inlaw's house over a year ago. They had gotten the bottle from their neighbors who must be club members. All I remember was it was one of the best wines I've had. I'm a cheap wine drinker, but things like the stag's Artemis and halter ranch Ancestor just leave lasting impressions in my mind. Checked in with the gentleman at the host stand in the beautiful building. Everything so clean and nice here. Chose to be seated outdoors on the beautiful day. It was quite crowded and busy with folks enjoying food and wines. Ms. Kristie was our server and she was fantastic! Working multiple tables with bottles in hands for all the tastings happening. She was super friendly and accommodating and helpful with explanations of each wine and so energetic to manage every table! Her energy helped stave off the fatigue from driving 4 hours since morning and the food coma from lunch before arriving. We already had lunch so opted for just the olives with the tastings of Ranch and Silver to maximize tasting all the different wines. Initially requested Ranch for both of us, since I expected to get 2 bottles of the wonderful ancestor to get one tasting waived. Shortly after, I noticed ancestor was also considered part of the silver label wines, so switched one to Silver flight (thought maybe ancestor was not silver, since it was part of the ranch flight, but Ms. Kristie said it's just on both flights since it's their signature wine). The olives were very salty, maybe should be rinsed out of it's brine before to reduce the salt. I expected olives to be from HR, but olives are not, and I guess just the olive oil in is is (on the olive oil later). Maybe the sourdough would have been better since it's served with the olive oil, but was just too full from lunch. After tasting all the wines from both flights, for my novice taste buds, I think Halter Ranch is just a master of blends! I actually preferred the blends over the single grape variety wines. Suspected as such after tasting the ancestor before, but my plans to get 2 bottles of ancestor went out the door once I tasted the Cuvee Alice! Wow, so smooth and complexity in depth, instantly scrambled my brain of thinking I came solely for the Ancestor. Ms. Kritie explained the Cuvee Alice was named after the owner's mom. That made perfect sense! It was a wine deserving of owner's pride, what a wonderful wine! Doubt came over me, now maybe I have to step up to buying the Cuvee Alice instead of Ancestor? Can't get better than the Cuvee. But the final round of Ancestor showed off why it's their signature wine, still was so wonderful, and couldn't make up my mind since I love the Ancestor, but I could not imagine not enjoying Cuvee again. Ended up splitting my decision and got a bottle of each to make sure I can have both again! Will introduce inlaws to the Cuvee since we all had Ancestor before. And will have Ancestor for my dad on Father's day then so I can have it then to see if I can decide then which is my fav, or just both :) On the way out, saw the bottles of olive oil by the entrance. Got tastings and loved it, wow! Some "real" olive oil! I preferred the ancestor over the tuscan. Wife got a bottle the Picual olive oil. It is so smooth with delightful flavors and a wonderful bitter bite to it. It's too good and pricey to use for food, so we just take a spoonful daily like a super antioxidant supplement! Already getting low on the bottle... These wines and olive oils are way above my pay grade, but why gotta be so good. Maybe I need to ask inlaw neighbor if they are club members to order me some:) I noticed there is a HR in Temecula closer to home...
