Very relaxed tasting. Disclaimer - I feel like there's always so many different opinions of wine tastings because our palates differ so much and I personally like the wines that come from willow creek area (I'm a huge fan of GSMs), so my rating is heavily based on service. A few of their wines are 100% varietals which I thought was unique compared to other wines in the area. I enjoyed the wines from here, their white wines were the most refreshing, perfect for a warm sunny day! Our server, Bob, was friendly and gave us some background on the winery. He was also attentive and gave us an extra tasting because I casually mentioned being unfamiliar with a certain varietal. The bottles are priced a little higher than others in the area but they are unique and taste great. Fun Fact- Diléctica is Latin-based for loved and beloved so each of their bottle labels has a heart integrated, and it was fun finding throughout the tasting

We stumbled upon this winery set in the middle of the mountains in Paso Robles and it was a great experience. The wine, scenery, vibe and ambiance should not be missed. The art work displayed is created by the family that is also dedicated to the creation of multiple excellent wine selections. Some of the best we've had in Paso. Make sure you put this winery on your next trip itinerary.

Dilecta Winery is so special. The sparkling wine is crisp and refreshing, and the red blends? Absolutely delicious. Smooth, rich, and full of character. Each bottle has its gorgeous artwork, making them feel like collectibles. André, the winemaker, clearly loves what he does. He's super knowledgeable but also super chill, no wine snob vibes, just good conversation and great wine. Pro tip: splurge on the chocolate pairing. You'll thank me later. And the grounds? Stunning. Totally walkable and peaceful. We'll definitely be back. This place is a gem!

Some of the best tasting wine I've ever had! Amazing customer service. I highly recommend you stop here on your wine tasting journey. Sparkling wine was my absolute favorite.

We have been going to Dilecta for a few years now. New owners now and while I loved the quirkiness of the previous honors - the new guys are wonderful and I just love dilecta even more now. Wines are as good as ever - the view and vibe are simply breathtaking. Dog friendly too. Please make sure you come by here. With about 400 choices in the area, it's hard to hone in on MUST go to wineries - but trust me, this is one of them!

Out of all the winery we went to Dilecta was our least favorite. I'm still give them four stars because of the staff were pleasant and accommodating. It's another kid and dog friendly winery with and beautiful outside patio with the views of the valley. As far for the tasting. To me their wines were very tart tasting for me so i really didn't care much for it. Their tasting is $15 for 5 tasting and waive with two bottles purchase.

The drive to get here is totally worth it. When walking up to the tasting room we were greeted by the resident greeter, Able, a friendly golden retriever. The tasting room is cozy and decorated with their labels and colorful spray painted hearts. Orion, owner and winemaker greeted us and took us through the tasting. Most of the wines had Syrah in them. The grapes are from a few locations: Paso, Santa Barbara, and Santa Ynez. The 1 white he had was a lovely chardonnay. The others were red blends or 100% Syrah. All the wines were smooth and well made. There is even a nice patio area to relax in. Definitely worth the drive to taste some great wines.

Came here as a second stop on our wine tasting path. Dilecta had cool art in the tasting room and on the bottles, all done by the winemaker's mother. The wines were unique and flavorful. Was fun to support a smaller winery.

Beautiful door, cool owner, fun dog, unique art, and delicious wines

Dilecta is one of our favorite wineries! Orion is exterior creative with his blends and is always changing his wines which is so much fun! All of his labels are his mothers art pieces which are so cool and we've purchased some of her prints too. Great spot to hit!

Hadn't been here in about four years. We used to come here when this winery was called something different. I think it was called Stanger Vineyards and Poalillo Vineyards but now it's Dilecta Wines. Dilecta is off the beaten path and on the back roads of Paso Robles/Templeton. We were in the area today visiting other wineries and stopped in to check out this new place. The wines were good. Orion (the owner) was very friendly. We enjoyed playing with his Golden Retriever as we sampled his wines. As with pretty much all the wineries around here these days, $15 tasting fee. This is a nice simple, small tasting room with some nice outside seating for picnics. See my photo below. Orion the owner is in the lower right-hand corner.

When we arrived, I learned that groups of seven or more get charged an extra $10 per person--a $70 fee that essentially wiped out my complimentary member tastings. Six people? No charge. Seven? That'll be $70. What?! For literally ZERO increase in service or experience. They're walking around a table, pouring a thimble of wine in a glass...that one extra person apparently necessitates a $70 fee. Here's the kicker: we were the only people in the tasting room for the entire two hours we were there. No crowd to manage, no strain on resources. And our group bought nine bottles of wine. The "thank you" for bringing in new customers and making purchases was a surprise $70 surcharge. I emailed to cancel my membership, thinking someone might reach out to try to keep a five-year member. Instead, I got a polite apology and a cancellation confirmation--from the GM and Winemaker, no less. No offer to waive the fee, no credit, nothing. They let a long-time member walk over $70. I noticed another Yelp review complaining about this exact same policy. So it's not just me--and apparently that feedback hasn't prompted any change. That says a lot. In a region overflowing with great wineries that actually value their members, I can't recommend this one. We flew in (!!!) to the airstrip on the property, where we were then given a short ride to the main winery. Landing here requires advanced notice and some paperwork, but wasn't too much of a hassle. We also split the charcuterie board and chicken sandwich. The charcuterie was alright, but nothing amazing. Same for the chicken sandwich, overall pretty good but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat it here. The service was really great, and we enjoyed walking around the property after lunch. Just the drive up to HR was wonderful, rising higher and higher up the mountain to reach the place. I was jokingly telling my wife trying to be snooty, I don't drink wine from the lower elevation Paso, lol! Super large estate with such a beautiful building for indoor and outdoor seatings. Was amazing just driving up the property to the tasting room. Had made reservation online ahead of time, since was in Paso to check out the sensorio thing on a Saturday in mid March. Don't think I've really been to winery to do tasting, but this was one place I wanted to come to after tasting their "Ancestor" at inlaw's house over a year ago. They had gotten the bottle from their neighbors who must be club members. All I remember was it was one of the best wines I've had. I'm a cheap wine drinker, but things like the stag's Artemis and halter ranch Ancestor just leave lasting impressions in my mind. Checked in with the gentleman at the host stand in the beautiful building. Everything so clean and nice here. Chose to be seated outdoors on the beautiful day. It was quite crowded and busy with folks enjoying food and wines. Ms. Kristie was our server and she was fantastic! Working multiple tables with bottles in hands for all the tastings happening. She was super friendly and accommodating and helpful with explanations of each wine and so energetic to manage every table! Her energy helped stave off the fatigue from driving 4 hours since morning and the food coma from lunch before arriving. We already had lunch so opted for just the olives with the tastings of Ranch and Silver to maximize tasting all the different wines. Initially requested Ranch for both of us, since I expected to get 2 bottles of the wonderful ancestor to get one tasting waived. Shortly after, I noticed ancestor was also considered part of the silver label wines, so switched one to Silver flight (thought maybe ancestor was not silver, since it was part of the ranch flight, but Ms. Kristie said it's just on both flights since it's their signature wine). The olives were very salty, maybe should be rinsed out of it's brine before to reduce the salt. I expected olives to be from HR, but olives are not, and I guess just the olive oil in is is (on the olive oil later). Maybe the sourdough would have been better since it's served with the olive oil, but was just too full from lunch. After tasting all the wines from both flights, for my novice taste buds, I think Halter Ranch is just a master of blends! I actually preferred the blends over the single grape variety wines. Suspected as such after tasting the ancestor before, but my plans to get 2 bottles of ancestor went out the door once I tasted the Cuvee Alice! Wow, so smooth and complexity in depth, instantly scrambled my brain of thinking I came solely for the Ancestor. Ms. Kritie explained the Cuvee Alice was named after the owner's mom. That made perfect sense! It was a wine deserving of owner's pride, what a wonderful wine! Doubt came over me, now maybe I have to step up to buying the Cuvee Alice instead of Ancestor? Can't get better than the Cuvee. But the final round of Ancestor showed off why it's their signature wine, still was so wonderful, and couldn't make up my mind since I love the Ancestor, but I could not imagine not enjoying Cuvee again. Ended up splitting my decision and got a bottle of each to make sure I can have both again! Will introduce inlaws to the Cuvee since we all had Ancestor before. And will have Ancestor for my dad on Father's day then so I can have it then to see if I can decide then which is my fav, or just both :) On the way out, saw the bottles of olive oil by the entrance. Got tastings and loved it, wow! Some "real" olive oil! I preferred the ancestor over the tuscan. Wife got a bottle the Picual olive oil. It is so smooth with delightful flavors and a wonderful bitter bite to it. It's too good and pricey to use for food, so we just take a spoonful daily like a super antioxidant supplement! Already getting low on the bottle... These wines and olive oils are way above my pay grade, but why gotta be so good. Maybe I need to ask inlaw neighbor if they are club members to order me some:) I noticed there is a HR in Temecula closer to home...

Its Wine tour season and what better winery to see... As a…read more"driver" I've seen and been to Justin many times. Its a "Wonderful" company. I'm sure you've heard of and tasted many of their items. Today it's wine with lunch. I picked up six for an anniversary celebration. This group forced me to sit and enjoy lunch with them. I was told by the "wonderful owner (a few years back) that this property is the only winery and restaurant in the country with a Michelin Star. I know it's difficult to obtain, I'm not sure how long that star lasts either. 90% percent of the dining is done on the patio surrounding the main room Our server Carley, she was pleasant and tolerated the guests (us) she served. Now the menu is short and expensive, more places & restaurants seem to going in that direction. I really wanted the tomahawk pork chop but I settled with the spring salad and a small portion of King Salmon. Justin's is known for their Burger and a side of truffle fries will put you back a bit. if you have to ask.... The wine was brought out one white and one red. I don't drink but both flavors were applauded. I ordered a bottle of sparkling water. The stories flowed, I didn't really know these folks, they were good AG people from Bakersfield. So we got acquainted, the most annoying thing were the flies. They had those table top fly spinners but on another table so that didn't help us much. The food was delicious, no question although the pasta dish with chicken for L had a very long and dark hair on it you really couldn't miss it. Other than that excitement we all enjoyed our meal. I had a couple slices of the pork, not as tender as I would have thought but it tasted real good. Salad a tad small but flavorful. I missed out on dessert, the wine was enough. Overall a very nice setting with a casual pace, perfect for those special occasions. Reservations on line a must So another free lunch, they do happen occasionally, cash is preferred but hey I'm not complaining, I'll keep that to myself. Thanks Foodguy-Martin

This is at best a mediocre winery with OK views. If it's on your way you can go (I will not),but…read morenot something to be planned . There are way better wineries in Paso like Daou and Sculpterra. The people there care for your experience and every wine you taste is great and doesn't change with every sip. This place mostly was focused on extracting money. I went there because they were recommended by so many friends to me. That's probably where they are lucky. That's why people visit them and because they are so hyped the person visiting has to also like them. The employees here are not motivated enough to be nice or attend the guests properly during the end of the day. The lady on the front desk in front of the entry was super rude. In a 3 mins conversation she mentioned at least 4 times how they were about to close and they are unable to provide us anything except the wine tasting. We had an appointment for 3:30 and the winery closes at 5:00. I would have understood if it was 4:30. I was celebrating my birthday and I mentioned it. It literally meant nothing to her and she never mentioned it in her notes while she mentioned that they will do a chocolate flight with a candle. The guy who helped us with our wine tasting was good but visibly tired. He tried his best. Even arranged a charcuterie board for us. He did mention they were about to close but that made sense. He was genuinely happy to see us when we went inside to pay. The only good deed done to us was asking us if we needed waters for the road. Also I liked the breezy fan feature. The wines are not very appealing. A lot better can be done with the taste, recipes and fermentation process. The prices are very high for the experience and the wines. Next day we went to another winery with Amazing views. They were so welcoming and warm and the moment I mentioned I was celebrating my birthday they were extra pampering. There wine flights were appropriately priced.Every wine we tasted was great and even after my wine purchase I did not feel robbed. That was some unforgettable experience. At Justin our experience was DULL and TIRING and not good at all. I am never going to recommend Justin to anyone. PS- Don't go there because people are mentioning it the moment they hear Paso Robles. There wines are no better than the wines you get at the medium shelf of the drugstore. Views are just OK. Use your money at a better winery.
