It was a slow day on Thursday when we came there for our 10AM appointment in early June. The tastings took place upstairs up a few dozen steps. They have an elevator if you need to use it. The interior design is modern with large walled windows. The screen by the large table is a bit distracting with a video that they had on, so when our attendant was trying to talk to us about our wine, I kept glancing towards the screen. Soph (first pour) was a stand out! There is a waiting list for the black label so it's quite extraordinary. Remember to gas up or charge your vehicle before making your way up here. It's kind of a loner in a rural area.

I'm not a member but got invited to the 2021 release pickup party and so glad I was. I wasn't familiar with Law and now I'm a big fan. I bought a lot (too much?) Law wine. My three favorites: Beguiling - the most approachable of all of the wines and not surprisingly the crowd favorite. Balanced with a lush finish. If you don't drink much granache, this is a good place to start. They say this is their best beguiling ever and it got 96 points from Jeb Dunnuck Sagacious - with approx 1/3 each of Grenache, Mourvèdre, and Syrah, there's a lot going on in this wine. (I think the official description is complex). You taste it right away but it has a long finish. I wonder how this will age but I probably will never find out because I'll drink it right away. Audacious -- this one snuck up on me. The cab gave it a bigger than expected taste but nearly two years of aging meant that it wasn't unruly at all. The wine I'd serve for someone who wanted to know what the fuss was about. 98 points from Jeb Dunnuck Aspire - this is their brag wine but it didn't move me. Maybe too young or I had already ruined my palette. I bought one to keep for 5+ years to see if I'll change my mind. The food pairing was very good -- kudos to chef Jeff. The standout was the mushroom grilled cheese with a dollop of blueberry. The law property is spectacular. Hang out on the back porch and forget about your troubles. It might feel a bit corporate at times but the family run touches still shine through.

Add this to your list for a personal 1:1 tasting experience! Thank you Rene for her expertise and knowledge. We arrived at the gate to be let in. Beautiful architecture - imagine modern five star hotel in Arizona desert vibes but with winery view. We had the patio to ourselves and it was a beautiful experience. The team went above and beyond for umbrella set up and making sure we were comfortable. The Soph is to die for as their Chardonnay. Stop by here for an exclusive modern feel sitting right next to the vines!

The views are amazing!! We had the best tasting experience here! Addy was exceptional!! An absolute pleasure! She made it so fun and we learned so much!

I had really high hopes of visiting Law Estate Winery. We went on a windy/rainy day and the views were limited. I thought the wine tasting was extremely limited (small pours). I hate it when wineries pre-pour wines in 1.5 oz and all the wines are pre-poured before you enter the room. The pours for the standard wine tasting are quiet small. I didn't think the wines were exceptional -- nothing really blew me away (I've visited 100+ wineries in my life). I thought the prices were exorbitant too. The tasting experienced seemed a bit lacking - no music, nothing. I just didn't "feel" this winery. I probably wouldn't bother going back anytime soon.

Great ambiance! Renee was amazing, she made the tasting a lot of fun. No silly stories that sound made up. The wines are really good, and no pressure sales. They let the wine speak for itself. Renee, also provided excellent recommendations to other wineries and restaurants in the area.

Attended member party yesterday and Law continues to produce some amazing wine. The food pairings were delicious and as always the views are spectacular. Listening to the wine maker talk about the fall release was awesome. We always love the way Addie makes us feel when we arrive. Spring will bring their first 100 point wine and I'm looking forward to spending more time at Law Estate Winery. Thank you, Bill and Terri Long

We were fortunate to visit and taste some wonderful wines here. The location and facility are beautiful. We signed up for their wine club but have to wait until early spring next year to confirm if they can fulfill our membership due to a lower than expected yield from their last harvest. They want to make sure their current members will receive their allotment, but they did allow us to purchase 4 bottles maximum to take with us. Their wines are delicious, and we look forward to opening them up later next year. It's definitely worth the visit if you can make reservations. They do not allow many visitors to taste at one time to allow a for a personal one on one experience, which is very nice. They have a beautiful property. Thank you for the great experience.

Thank you, Renee, and the team at Law Estate Winery. As a first timer to the region, I was recommended my first stop to be @Law and while other tastings that day were quality, Law was for me and my palate. A huge thank you to Renee for accommodating my Scottish terrier, Wallace and me for our 10am tasting. I appreciated tour knowledge, our conversation and hope to get off the waitlist, which is close to home to me since I work in college counseling!! If you're looking for an educator to join your coveted wine club, Wallace and I are ready to join the family! Thank you for such a memorable day!

Quick Summary Was really excited about all the reviews of Law, so did have high expectations. The wine was decent (probably a dropoff since Scott Hawley opened shop at Torrin), facilities were fantastic, but felt slightly rushed on the tasting. Views were decent. It's 4.5 stars but rounding up because of how nice the facilities were Tasting- 4 stars Had high expectations, but the wine was good but not great. Our somm was very interesting and had great recommendations. My only complaint was the pacing and how quickly the whole tasting went. I get they want to sell bottles and memberships, but didn't get enough time to really settle down and get comfortable Views- 4 stars The views are decent as there are a few shots of the vineyard rows and the mountainside. It's not particularly high up the hill, so you aren't going to get the expansive views you would get from Daou (but still a much better wine experience than Daou) Facilities- 5 stars Pristine facilities and we were seated in a gorgeous tasting room. The cellar, tasting rooms and main building were second to none Bottom Line Decent wine and magnificent facilities. Not a bad spot to visit on your Paso wine tour

This is one of my favorite vineyards. Period. Their blends are incredible, and the personal service is outstanding. The building itself is classy and the views are spectacular. Some quick recommendations: make your reservations early, and this place is a really solid choice as part of a romantic weekend away!

We are special. LOL

Yes, the tasting is expensive by Paso Robles standards ($20) but as is frequently the case, you get what you pay for.

The wine tasting was great, Eric was our server and he was wonderful, with personality and talkative conversation also explaining the wines that we were tasting, even though he was busy! We wanted to have lunch but wanted to split things, so we didn't overeat! We opted for a salad which was called the winter salad and I'm not much of a salad person, but the salad was terrific, it had seasonal winter fruits with arugula, a light vinaigrette, and a few pomegranate seeds really light and just perfect. We had the burger, which... Was divine. Brioche bun, caramelized, onions, red wine bacon jam and an aïoli. That burger came with fries, which we also split, but both agreed they were the best french fries we've ever had. I do not know how they got them so crisp they were delicious. The views are great. Rolling Hills of Paso Robles demand your attention. They have an immense outdoor area, although we sat inside because it was a little chilly. Purchased tres Violet and a Chardonnay - both tasted and were lovely!

We booked the "wine tasting and lunch", which was a 90 minute experience on their patio ($40). When we arrived, we were greeted with the first wine on the tasting list, which was the Grenache (pretty good, different than what I normally go for). The patio had a nice view of the rolling hills and we could see goats running across them in the distance. The tasting consisted of 4 wines, and we also got a bonus pour. Our host was friendly and knowledgeable, and I really enjoyed the wine selection, especially the "Messer" red. We also ordered lunch, and both my Harvest Salad and Parmesan Fries were very tasty. The grounds were nice, but not quite as breathtaking as some of the other vineyards I've seen in the area. Overall though, a good experience!

When we arrived, give or take a couple of parties already seated for the first seating. The gentleman that checked us was the sweetest. You get the welcome tea drink which the cup is used for water throughout your tasting. Very friendly and sweet. A little joke throughout the whole experience with the food pairing and meal. I was joking that he was hyping up the meal that it better be worth it. Let me just say, he was 100 percent right. The best meal out of all the times I've been..... It didn't take long till our table was ready. Also it was a first time that we were seating outside in the courtyard. Normally it's inside the room once you enter the courtyard. It was a nice Saturday and the weather was great. A nice touch to the beginning of something sweet. There was also another table set up down in the garden area that was utilized as well. Gabby who took are of us that afternoon was the sweetest. The details and explanation of everything was to the tee. Also, this is the second time that I had to mentioned they forgot our little posey of flowers...lol... The small details that we love. Depending on the menu and tasting, the pairing is brought out with each glass. Wine are set up first and pairing followed. This visit, we started off with three pairing. Bacon and leeks strata, amazing by the way. Then the antipasto salad followed by a 4 spice seared duck breast. Wow, just with those three pairing with the wine was excellent. Each wine delicately chosen to match the meal, details on details. Afterwards, the last two paring were brought out. The oven roasted portobello mushrooms and ramen were the last of the pairing accompanied by the wine pair. Just those small tasting alone was excellent. To finish off with the tasting which with members we alway go for the lunch pairing afterwards. A meal with a glass to accommodate the dish. This by far was the best I've had. A 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon paired with black angus filet mignon. Poomes paille, bordelaise, wedge salad of half romaine lettuce with Parmesan, bacon, mini san marzano tomatoes, asparagus, Tokyo turnip, chives and Caesar dressing. Wow, it was fantastic. The streak was cooked perfectly with a nice pink center. Salad was crunchy and paired well with all the trimming and then you have the wine pair, chefs kiss. The chef knows their food. Everything was excellent as alway and this was another wonderful experience. A first time tasting in the courtyard was great. Gabby was amazing and the sweetest. And the gentlemen checking us in. He was dead right on the meal, it was amazing. My favorite so far. Service was amazing and the wine, of course that's great. Until next time.

Once you arrive, its a colorful, quirky, nature-filled, calm retreat. We got to meet both friendly winery cats, Otis and ( swear I thought I'd remember the other one's name!) Cat presence always gets extra points from me. We were seated on the large shaded outdoor patio, and we were the only customers there. It was late in the day and I guess the midday rush had all just vacated at once. Our server was really great at describing the winemaking process, flavor profiles and history of the winery, but the patio was completely silent. We took out a phone to play our own music and she commented that her mother did the same thing when she visits. Dining experiences need music! If they're aware of this, I hope they consider adding some soft music for a more comfortable ambiance. Wines - All of the wines here are natural, which not many wineries can claim in this area, and I tasted some very unique blends like nothing I've tasted before. My favorite was the Syrah, but the rest of the wines weren't really my style. Food - The menu is changed regularly and it's obvious that the chef enjoys putting it together! We didn't get to try the ramen that my friend raved about because of the new menu, but we loved the mini "street taco" tostada and the spam maki. I did think some dishes would have been better served hot, like the orange-glazed chicken thigh. This was such a cool, unique experience and it sounds like you'll never have the same experience twice! Would recommend to anyone.
