Our last stop. Best way to end the day. I'm fairly all 5 of us were at capacity by the time we made it here. I was for sure at my breaking point. We were greeted by a super cheery Channing. I think we were her last group for the day. There was an awesome set up at the table right outside. Being here felt like home. We had such an amazing time. So much so that I think everyone re-upped on their wine. One of us was definitely lit lit and ended up with a whole case. This will for sure be my first stop the next time we do another wine day.

Love it here! Such a fantastic winery tucked away in the hills of Paso Robles. The wines are perfect and the hillside views are spectacular!

This was our first trip after the name change & we are so glad we came. The wine was still superb & Blake gave us every reason to stay as winery members. He even stayed late to accommodate us & share all of his knowledge. MidPoint did a fantastic job of paying homage to the Rotta history. It was so fun to hear the stories behind the new wines, the graphics on the bottles, & it just made us love the winery more. We are already planning our trip back.

Had an amazing time at Mid.Point Winery. Isabelle and Blake were so accommodating and knowledgeable throughout the entire experience. Isabelle led us through our wine tasting and I loved how it felt like a story-time; this part really sets it apart from other wineries I've been too. The grounds are beautiful and the plans to expand will bring in so many people. We sat outside and enjoyed the view, the heaters, and the lawn area for our pets and children. Can't wait to come back and sip on my favorite central coast whites!! 11/10!

We had SUCH a good time here. Did a walk-in on Sunday afternoon. Easily accommodated since we sat outside. Tasting room attendants were always available and very personable and knowledgeable about the wines and area - even through there were quite a few parties spread around the place. Decent wines with an unusual options (Carbonic? that's a first!) $20 fee so we split a tasting don't forget to tip!

Dog friendly tasting room (here is a list of other dog friendly wineries in the area http://www.travelpaso.com/content/dog-friendly-activities) & $10 for 9 wine tastings. Down the street from AronHill Vineyards (which has a restaurant in case you need something more than wine, crackers and cheese as you do a winery crawl. By the way, Rotta winery does not provide complementary crackers during the tasting but there is a menu you can order from that has different types of cheeses, meats and crackers, olives). My husband and I came by with our little dog this past Sunday evening. We arrived around 4 pm. We came in and were acknowledged by an employee behind the counter. For the wine tasting, I somewhat like the Rose wine. I liked the light and fruity flavor of this wine but I didn't like it enough to want to buy a bottle on my own (please note that I am still new to the wine world). Although I did not like the Ecliptic wine, I did think the bottle logo was pretty cool and appropriate for the name of this wine. Of the wines we tried, I truly loved the Zinfandel Port and Black Monukka. Both of these wines are dessert wines and just have a delicious sweet finish that is perfect for ending a meal. You can swirl the Zinfandel Port but not the Black Monukka because of the brandy that is in it (and would ruin the flavor). That Black Monukka had some incredible caramel notes that was truly fabulous. Although the first employee helping us with our tasting was friendly, I did get this odd vibe around her, along with the second employee who helped us later on. For the first employee (Caucasian female), she had told me that Cambria is predominately Caucasian. When I asked her if there was another ethnicity, she said there are Mexicans and that they pick the grapes (I am just tell you what was told to me, please do not assume these are my own personal views. Especially being a minority, it would just be wrong to think this way. I am not taking these words out of context). She also mentioned that they do live in Cambria but in a different part because this part of Cambria is very expensive to live in. I was taken back by what she said but didn't really say anything so that it would not be awkward. She also did mention that there really is no diversity in Cambria. Eventually this employee had to leave to handle other matters in the winery. So this other employee (also Caucasian female) took care of patrons in the tasting room. She was friendly as well but my husband just got this vibe that she had the same view as the other employee. My husband wanted to buy 1 bottle of Zinfandel Port and the Black Monukka but for some reason, this second employee never brought it out for us to buy. My husband asked her twice but she never did. My husband was very frustrated and decided to leave. He didn't understand why she either had forgotten or ignored the request (especially since we have money to buy). Which is unfortunately because I really wanted to take home a bottle. Although I can order through their website on line, I would still have to pay for additional shipping (which is kind of expensive). I truly wanted to like this winery, but based on our experience (racism, yep I went there. Don't send me hate mail because you disagree with me. This winery was not the only one that seemed prejudice during our short vacation out in this area), I cannot award this winery a higher rating above 2 stars.

What a fabulous place. This was our first stop and our host was very delightful. He gave us the history and took us to a nice spot on the lawn...we had bocce ball and corn hole to play. Beautiful inside and bathroom was clean. Grenache Blanc was amazing! Nice quiet place on Booker Road. Can't wait to come back!

Rotta also has a charging station.

We took my sister and brother-in-law, who have been to dozens of wineries world-wide, for a tasting on 11/14/21. They both felt Rotta, and our host Brian, provided an unsurpassed experience. The setting (and weather) was beautiful

By the end, pretty much everyone in our group had found a wine they wanted to take home--including the ones who swore they weren't buying anything. Dennis, our Tasting Room Host, made the experience. He was warm, very knowledgeable, and genuinely engaging with everyone--from the serious wine lovers to our six-year-old--while keeping things professional and elevated. The whole visit struck that rare balance: polished without feeling formal, refined without ever feeling rushed or "in-and-out." Dennis has been with Eberle since 2017, and you can feel how much he cares about the place. He spoke about the winery with such genuine pride, and as you look around the tasting room at the rows of award ribbons from years of vintages, it hits you--this is a place with real history behind it. That sense of legacy and care is woven into the whole experience. The historic wine caves are a must, the complimentary tasting felt generous and unhurried, and the grounds have that unmistakable Paso magic--rolling hills, big oaks, golden light, and room to breathe. We even crossed paths with Gary Eberle (founder, 1979) and his sweet black poodle, Vieto--one of those authentic, only-in-wine-country moments that sums up the welcoming spirit here. If you go, ask for Dennis--he turned our first visit into one we'll plan future trips around. Good to know before you visit: * Make a reservation--it gets busy * Don't skip the cave tour (you can even taste down there) * Large lawn & games--great for kids and mixed groups * Very dog-friendly * Private, romantic tastings available in the caves * Complimentary tastings + military discount available * Plan to stay a while...and bring your camera :)

Our first stop when we arrived in Paso. We've been to so many wineries, this would be one of our top 10. The spice pairing is unique but pairs so well with the wine. Buy 3 bottles to waive the fee. Since it's more of boutique, the bottles are quite pricey, mostly ranging near the 100s. But it was our favorite the whole weekend we went there. And we bought 6 bottles. We loved the spell and got 3 bottles of that! It's a Syrah cab blend. Has the Paso flavor that we love. It's not a vineyard, just a tasting room but worth a visit. We met the wine maker too. Friendly and attentive service. Can't wait to pop open a bottle at home soon!

They had a room set up in the back for us (it pays to make a reservation) and it was personalized with our name and it had a comfortable couch and other seating, with a beautiful tapestry on the wall. Our "guide" for today was Nyoka, and she was fabulous. I don't know if she was solely helping us or not; however, it sure seemed like it. She was really sweet, was so informative and just a pleasure to talk to. We did the tasting, and we also did the optional spice tasting for an additional $15. I would strongly encourage you to add in the spice tasting. It is definitely well worth it, and it goes with the wine tasting so well. Nyoka was very good at not only telling us about the wines; however, also telling us about the spices, history, growing conditions, the owners, and even the geography -- along with a map as a visual. She was truly a pleasure. We did end up buying three bottles to take home. These bottles are a little bit pricier than ones we usually buy. We usually fall in the $50 range and these were definitely in the $75 to $90 range for most of them; however, they were definitely good and likely premium. We had an excellent time, and would return again in the future.

Being able to enjoy some of their older vintages this way makes the experience even more special for wine enthusiasts. What I appreciate most about DAOU is how they've managed to maintain a small, family-style atmosphere despite being acquired by a larger company a few years ago. The hospitality still feels personal and genuine. The staff are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, not only about the wines themselves but also about the history of the vineyard and the vision behind it. Yeah, I didn't believe it either, but then I saw a sign in their vineyard that proved me wrong. It read: "Water into Wine" And now, I'm a believer! So what brought us to this magical place you ask?? Well, besides the obvious (the wine).... It was the.... ok you caught me!! We came for the wine! Yeah, we were staying at the Ava Hotel in Paso for my wife's birthday weekend (definitely check this place out if you are looking for a beautiful spot to call home away from home) And being that we were in wine country.... We wanted a nice outdoor vineyard where our kids could be outside, run around, and get all of their energy out all while Mommy & Daddy had our own little R&R time sippin' on the good stuff. And let me tell you, it was Good Stuff! When we first arrived at Sculpterra, we already knew the place was going to be a hit as the parking lot was hoppin. And apparently we weren't the only ones that got the memo that this place was THE PLACE to be as it was just a little bit off the beaten trail from where we started out... Approximately 6 miles from "Downtown Paso" (through the city limits, down the 'ol country back roads and suddenly we were in wine country!) Prior to heading to the vineyard, we did a quick pit stop at McDonalds for the kids so they had something they liked. As for me and my wife, we opted to get some of the local fare items offered on site, cause what goes better with wine than a yummy charcuterie board? I'll answer that momentarily! But wait, theres more!!!! Upon finding a nice little table outdoors to sit and relax with our wine chilled in a bucket of ice, there was suddenly music to our ears and Love to my eyes! Yes, there was lovely Live Music being played by a band and out of the corner of my eye, I spotted a food truck serving Mexican Food from a local Mexican restaurant. Remember earlier when I said what goes better with wine than a charcuterie board? Well, if you guessed a little Mexican Food, then you are oh so right, but only in moderation! So in order not to ruin the good vibes of the beautiful vino from Sculpterra, I opted for just one taco and a cup of their poblano soup and man was it fire. The soup was piping hot and it had a kick of spice that made me spice from ear to ear. As far as the wine, the vineyards vibe and the entire aesthetic of the grounds, Sculpterra Winery & Sculpture Gardens (the vineyard was adorned with many abstract and contemporary pieces that are all photo worthy), this place checks all the boxes. The place is kid friendly as there is plenty of space, both indoors and out, with areas for the kids to throw a ball, run around, or even learn to play a g as a game of chess. A decent variety of Reds, Whites, & Blends are all up for grabs, so if you find yourself in Paso Robles with the fam or its just you and your hunny, definitely come check this place out and watch the miracle of them turning water into wine!
