We sat at their private area which is a bit small (only a bar area with 8ish seats and 1 table with couches, but there's another shared space with many more tables. Dog friendly. Tasting was $20 for 6 wines (2 whites, 4 reds). Pour sizes were on the smaller side but they are very nice and let you revisit. All the wines are bold flavor and high abv. Not a single bad wine and are all quite affordable at around $40 a bottle. They waive the tasting fee with any bottle purchase. Friendly, good service. Worth checking out read more

My husband and I were staying in Templeton for our 15 year anniversary and this was so close by we had to check them out also thanks to Yelp for all the amazing reviews I'm so glad we chose to stop by this winery. My husband had the wine tasting and he absolutely loved it he bought the zinfandel for himself and the rose for my mother-in-law. Although I myself am not a huge wine drinker I can definitely say the Rose was delicious. It was so fun to be able to chat with the owners who were actually there as well as the husband and wife that help run into wine tastings they were such a great couple to talk and learn from. Just passed Main st. of the always lovely Templeton, follow a small gravel road up the hill, surrounded by wine grapes, to an adorable tasting room with a beautiful outside area where you can enjoy Templeton's afternoon breeze as you taste some of the finest wine on the Central Coast. During this trip, we decided to sample different tasting rooms each day. Picked solely on the name, we were pleasantly surprised at the amazing experience that was 7 Angels Cellars. The wonderful couple that ran the tasting room were so inviting that it really felt more like visiting old friends or family members we hadn't visited in a while. They weren't just kind and inviting, but professional and knowledgeable. I was more than honest about my lack of linguistic ability where it comes to wine, and they didn't judge me on it at all. What I lack in terminology I make up for several fold in my olfactory and tasting abilities. Which tends to be a curse more often than a blessing. That said, each sample was divine. Of course I do have favorites and least favorites, but don't we all? Wonderful experience, I suggest it to anyone that's visiting the area. read more

Seven Angels Cellars: A quintessential boutique winery. There were two things on the property that caught my eye, that I missed on our previous visits. There is a spectacular, massive Oak tree on the hillside, that overlooks the quaint tasting room and patio area. There was also a sign near the tasting patio that said "You entered as strangers...You leave as friends. See you next time!" Greg and Pamela are the proprietors that live by their quote. On our first visit a couple years back (during Covid), I called during the week to make an appointment to visit. The person that answered said on what date? I said today. She apologized, and said they were normally closed Monday's, but what time were we thinking? We and our two little furry kids were greeted by Greg and Pamela @ Seven Angels that afternoon! Greg asks us how about a property tour on the Mule (small ATV). We hopped aboard the four wheeled animal to experience the stunning property landscape with an intriguing Historical narration by Greg himself. "The Fruit never falls far from the tree" So, not surprisingly, the grapes embody the magical atmosphere. Even Steinbeck would be impressed. We took home a case of Grace to continue to taste this remarkable experience. Highly recommend a visit 5.5 stars. read more

7 Angels is an amazing boutique winery! Absolutely gorgeous aged wines, priced incredibly low. Plus, what a dream team! Pamela's extensive culinary background and Greg's wine-making talent together result in such beautifully balanced wine. I was impressed by every single pour but my two favorites were the '14 confession (Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah) and the '16 unorthodox (Grenache Blanc, Viognier, Rousanne). I can't wait to show this hidden gem to my friends! The owners were extremely welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable. Plus they're dog friendly which is always a plus. read more

Winemaker was a really guy great but older women pouring the wine was so rude to our group, none of us will ever return. Rude from the minute we arrived and we tried so hard to be nice to her. Some of our group had bought wine but when she asked me and my husband if we wanted to buy any and we said "not at this time but thank you"she yelled at us and said "why would you come here if you were not going to buy wine?" I said we came for a tasting and there was nothing that we wanted to buy. She said "that is ridiculous". We are all in our 60s highly educated and have been coming to Paso for years and have never had any winery talk to us like that. We bought lots of wine at other wineries, but we were not going to buy from her. BTW wines were good. read more

The tasting room staff of Denise and John were incredible and delightful with the fresh baked goodies that were just the right mix with the wines. We were fortunate enough to have Greg take us on a personal tour of the facility providing us with the history of the location. Super congenial owners who welcomed me, despite my showing up near closing, for a glass of wine (not a tasting). Had a white Rhone blend which was excellent. They invest in a wide educator who pours your wines so you really know what you're drinking and what you might/should be tasting. A nice, quaint and friendly spot. read more

Following the state mandate to stay local, fortunately, we live in big country California, rather than travel to Arizona or Nevada, we drove to Templeton from southern CA as an early August heat wave was blowing a dry 100 degree covid-crushing desert wind across the 7 Angels wine tasting deck on its way to the Pacific. We found the tasting experience came with an exceptionally friendly, fun, and informative host experience from Greg, Pam, Denise and John. Sitting comfortably outside under a sun shielding canopy, Greg provided a tangible history of the area, the vineyard, the views, the grape choices, the struggle and ultimate success of converting the land from a former horse farm into this young, artisanal 90 acre vineyard such that you could feel the passion in the man's bones, as you felt the dirt of the vineyard beneath your feet. This is not the kind of experience you are going to get from a bottle in a tasting room downtown - this is the kind of experience you bring home in your heart, in your lungs and on your shoes. There were enough bottle choices that we were able to spend a few hours working them over. With the friendly, laid back, and knowledgeable help of John and Denise our crew found a few favorites and took our share of cases home to help us make the memories last. 7 Angels has an inspiring name origin, but is still an undiscovered gem! They have corn hole and a few other games for people who like to be entertained, while sampling what this vineyard has to offer. The views from the tasting area include panoramic views, overlooking a small portion of the grape vines, and include local wildlife if you have the eyes to find them. If you need to stretch your legs, you do not have to go far to see some really nice views of the surrounding area. If you are in the area or looking for a destination, this is a great place to spend time, make memories, meet people, and enjoy doing some great wine tasting. The host experience with their guest seems to mirror their philosophy with their wine, enjoying one bottle at a time. We will most definitely be coming here again. read more

We had a bizarre experience at Seven Angels. On a beautiful day that was 70 degrees outside, we asked to seat outside. The server told us it was too cold for her staff outside. Instead, we were required to squeeze inside their double-wide tasting room with four staff (only one of which was actually doing anything), 10 tasters and space heater keeping the cramped space much too warm. One of party only drinks white wines. The server refused to serve her a glass of white, even though they sell a case of white for $60(??). When one of our party got locked in the bathroom, she was chastised by one of the staff for using the wrong lock (even though the lock was not labeled to not use). The wine in the tasting flight ranged from ordinary to terrible, particularly the Pinot Noir (why do you make Pinot in Paso?). The server criticized us when chose not to buy any bottles, which has never happened to us after many, many, tastings. We always buy at least a bottle when we enjoy the tasting. Dutiful location on a hill. The wines were really tasty esp reds. Tasted (and bought) the the Zin, Petitr Sarah, Sarah and the Cab. Each classic / clean with distinct nose and great taste. Free the wine maker came over, introduced himself, talked about the winery and some of our wines. We were wine tasting on our Honeymoon and this place was amazing. Our tasting area was set up on a hill with a great view and of course the wine was tasty. We got to talking with our server who was very knowledgeable & sweet. Then the owners (husband & wife) came by and chit chat with us. They made us feel like we were talking to old friends. Greg (I think his name was) spent so much time answering every question we had & took us on a tour of the property. I don't know how else to describe our experience except it was as if our close friends owned a winery. It was relaxing, beautiful, great conversation & great wine. We couldn't have asked for more.
