Easily the best experience of this year's wine-tasting trip! Not only were the wines fantastic (the 2017 Reserve Cab Sauv and the 2021 Petit Verdot were my faves), but service and attention were great as well! Molly was attentive, personable, and knowledgeable. The owner and vintner Steve also came out and said hello! This location is beautiful and gorgeous and peaceful. I was very pleasantly surprised to find it not packed on a Sunday afternoon, though it did pick up just a little bit closer to closing time. I had a lovely time and will definitely be back!

Updated review - stopped in for a pick up and had a great time, this place has some of the most delicious wines we've ever tried and they treat you like family! the staff is so kind and the wine maker regularly comes around to chat and answer any questions. The property is beautiful and the atmosphere feels like crisp country, like you are at a rich uncles house in the beautiful country side. If you like Tempranillos this is your place! We also aren't big white or rose drinkers but we've enjoyed every white and rose we've tried here!!

From beginning to end, the experience was perfect! Molly was absolutely amazing. The service was top tier. We did the tasting, and they had a very delicious wine collection. it was a beautiful day to be in the shade, and the background music was great. Steve, the owner, made a couple stops to talk to us which was a great addition. Some of us left as members of their club and a bunch of great wine!

We stopped in on a Saturday for a wine tasting ($25/ person) and we were able to enjoy some beautiful music as well! They had a great outdoor area where we sat, and there were a few other large tables around us, but it was such a great outdoor space that it never got too loud or felt cramped. I would absolutely come back here! The lady who was helping us was very knowledgeable

What a great little winery! We came here on a whim a few weeks ago and were pleased with our experience. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable about all the wines. I appreciated that there was an option for a red or white flight. As someone who isn't super big into reds, this was much appreciated! The area outside is beautiful, so I recommend grabbing a seat outside! There wasn't anything happening when we visited, but it sounds like they have live music often on the weekends!

Wonderful place! Had a drive thru and chose this place to stop off for a quick glass of wine and chill. I cannot remember the persons name who helped us (Rita?) - anyway, she was SUPER sweet. Hooked us up with blankets and fire pits and drinks. The cherry on top was Brix - the winery's gold retriever. So cute.

Took my parents on a trip to Paso Robles and we did a day of wine tasting. When I was checking out places this place looked so cute so I booked a reservation for us. Once we arrived it was so cute. The chandeliers inside and the rustic inside was perfect. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. We were even early to our reservation and they were able to accommodate us which was nice. There was so many dogs playing which was so nice. They created such a cozy environment on the grounds outside it made you feel like you were in your own backyard. The wines were good so we bough a few of the reds to bring home. They packaged everything up nicely to go. Would definitely be back. I also would recommend stopping by for a tasting if you want a nice and laid back wine experience with great service with a relaxing vibe and nice reds.

We really enjoyed this winery. The reds are amazing! This is a must when we come to Paso. The staff and owners are so warm and inviting, made for an even better experience...will be back soon!

Party of 6 for a birthday party. Last minute plans and they were very accommodating. Erika was our host, and she is very knowledgeable and very tentative. It was not busy at all. Perfect atmosphere and gotta love the pups! Wine were very tasty, and my favorite was the Firelight Syrah. Perfect body with the best flavor of black currants. A most stop for a get day off solo or with friends. Steve is the wine maker, and he took time to come speak with us.

They have a great outdoor space, but the wines, communication, music and everything else was meh.

This little place is really cute! All outdoor tasting in the yard. Entertaining live music in a beautiful setting. Wine was good... not the best we had during the trip but decent. They are kind of missing the boat here. Lots of potential but not quite there. They have decent wine and the place is adorable but would like to have heard more about the wine we were tasting. Service was slow considering it was not busy and we were kind of ignored. Would have also loved to see some fall decorations! A beautiful barn should have pumpkins and hay bails in the fall! Had fun and enjoyed our visit but seems to have missed potential.

Beautiful place to sit under the trees and taste. Molly was our awesome wine guide and we had a great chat with owner/ winemaker Steve while petting Brix, the golden. Most important: excellent wine! So excellent that we joined the wine club. We also reserved an overnight space through Harvest Host and parked our van out back overnight. Just us and a great horned owl. Highly recommend. Looking forward to coming back soon.

We are the type of members who always take great care of the staff and rarely leave without purchasing extra bottles, yet today we were treated like an inconvenience. Despite being told in the past that spontaneous visits were no problem for members, we were turned away on a gloomy Monday with plenty of open tables. The host at the entrance was incredibly dismissive and wouldn't even let us finish our sentence before cutting us off. We were told our only options were to come back in an hour, a "limited" tasting, drive all the way downtown, or just pick up our shipment and leave. We asked for the Wine Club Manager to resolve the situation, but she wasn't on-site. To be offered a "partial" tasting as a favor after nearly ten years of support was the final straw. It feels as though they now prioritize "closing" new members over honoring the people who have supported them for years. They've gone mainstream and lost the personal touch that made them special.

I had the opportunity to stay at the Summerwood Inn in Paso Robles, CA and fell in love with it. It has to be one of my favorite places to stay. The Inn itself and my room were so inviting and relaxing. The bed and comforter were very comfortable. There's nothing worse than a bad sleep on a vacation and wanting to go home to your own bed. I didn't want to leave this one. They did have a wifi and a desk so that I could check my email, but I was barely on the computer because there was too much to enjoy. My room overlooked this courtyard which was even more beautiful at night. Behind the Inn was the winery. It was so peaceful. Chef Kelly Wangard is responsible for the decorating and the amazing cuisine. She also won Cut Throat Kitchen. We were watching the Food Network and the repeat came on. I got this great pic of Kelly watching herself. There is a reason Kelly won. Her food is so delicious. You could order breakfast the night before and it was prepared for you in the morning. The Eggs Benedict just melted in your mouth and it was served with a side of greens and potatoes. In the evening Kelly had wine and h'ordeuvres for us and dessert, coffee, and tea in the evening. Then you could unwind with a hot bath and their exclusive bath soaps and lotions - they smell amazing! You could curl up and read a book or check out the surrounding area. I highly recommend doing both. No matter what your reason is for taking a vacation Summerwood Inn is the perfect place to stay while you're in wine country.

Being able to enjoy some of their older vintages this way makes the experience even more special for wine enthusiasts. What I appreciate most about DAOU is how they've managed to maintain a small, family-style atmosphere despite being acquired by a larger company a few years ago. The hospitality still feels personal and genuine. The staff are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, not only about the wines themselves but also about the history of the vineyard and the vision behind it. I'm a big fan of this winery and how it has evolved over the years. Between the stunning views, exceptional wines, and welcoming staff, DAOU is always a must-stop whenever visiting Paso Robles.

The whole visit struck that rare balance: polished without feeling formal, refined without ever feeling rushed or "in-and-out." Dennis has been with Eberle since 2017, and you can feel how much he cares about the place. He spoke about the winery with such genuine pride, and as you look around the tasting room at the rows of award ribbons from years of vintages, it hits you--this is a place with real history behind it. That sense of legacy and care is woven into the whole experience. The historic wine caves are a must, the complimentary tasting felt generous and unhurried, and the grounds have that unmistakable Paso magic--rolling hills, big oaks, golden light, and room to breathe. We even crossed paths with Gary Eberle (founder, 1979) and his sweet black poodle, Vieto--one of those authentic, only-in-wine-country moments that sums up the welcoming spirit here.
