This is such a magnificent winery. The vibes are ski resort but in Paso. Love their lunch menu. The charcuterie is a must! Very busy place, very busy server, but very friendly!
The bread and butter alone are worth the visit, seriously incredible. Paired with great wine, quick service, and a super kind host, everything about our visit was wonderful. When we went it was fairly busy. We were seated at a large, spacious table with plenty of room to spread out and enjoy.
We chose this Winery because they offered food as well as wine. Upon arriving, we were pleasantly thankful to find free EV charging from their own solar source. They do not offer complimentary bread service. Bread is on the menu - House made sourdough focaccia with lavender butter. It was so good, totally worth the price. Slight crisp on the outside, spongy interior, but chewy from the sourdough gluten. Hint of sweet in the background. Butter is light and aromatic. This amazing dish is just the bread. Roasted Chicken was tender with a light sauce. Pasta with mushroom sounds simple but it was yummy and perfect. For wine tasting, they offered a complimentary welcome taste of Pino Rose, light and refreshing. The tasting had 4 wines, my favorite was the 2022 Reserve Chardonnay. It was buttery and smooth. The building, scenery of the vineyard hills, and the flower garden were all beautiful.
This winery is absolutely beautiful. It's definitely upscale but I didn't get a snooty vibe at all. I say that because another winery tried to discourage us from going saying they were snooty and rude. I didn't get that. What I did get was a winery with professional level staff and a commitment to standards. It's definitely a nice place for a special occasion. The membership seems to be worth it if you live in the area. The wine and food aren't cheap here but I don't think it's overpriced for the experience and quality. The chef belongs in a top restaurant in NYC or LA. I can't believe the selection on the winter menu. Our party of 4 couldn't narrow it down so chose a lot of food. No complaints. I was told the Waldorf salad was underwhelming only because it came out after other dishes that were so much better. I couldn't try it since I'm allergic to nuts. It looked beautiful. The duck was cooked perfectly with a pink center. The black rice was amazing. I wish I knew how they seasoned it. The octopus was tender. I think it came with parsnip which was tasty. I could've licked the bowl of the mushroom risotto. It's that good. It's made with farro which is an interesting twist. The mushrooms were so meaty. Another highlight for the table was the fingerling potatoes with the onion dip. The potatoes were smashed and crispy. The onion dip was flavorful but too small of a container for our group! We were going to skip the sourdough focaccia but the server recommended it and I'm so glad she did. It was really light and airy. The orange blossom butter was a nude accompaniment. We also ordered the olives which are good but not necessary for all the food we ordered. And I almost forgot the side of goat cheese. I've never seen it as solid with crystallization. I can only imagine how good a charcuterie board would be here. I enjoyed all of the wines in the tasting except for the Chardonnay. That's not my favorite anyway. My favorites here are the Grenache and Syrah. The prices are over $65 per bottle. I highly recommend this winery for a special occasion. Or a membership for locals!!!!
Fantastic experience. Came here for a weekend lunch and had beautiful view of the vineyard. Service was great, detailed. We did the tasting as well which was very informative. Lunch was delicious! Grilled asparagus with burrata, hummus like appetizer. The sourdough focaccia was worth it! Mains were a pork dish which was succulent and the pasta was a meat ragu. All fantastic. Can't wait to come back.
This winery was nice, but we caught them Closing for a private event that evening and we couldn't get lunch served. The GM was gracious and gave us a complimentary glass of wine as a consolation. The atmosphere was happy and there were many people there eating and drinking. They suggest you make reservations for eating. We wound up buying a bottle of wine here, As it was good.
Niner is the best winery dining experience on the Central coast. For being so upscale, it's still refreshingly approachable and friendly. Our server, Dylan, was so warm, informative and made excellent suggestions for pairings. Food wise, Chef Brendan Collins is a rising culinary star. He knocked it out of the park with selections to delight even the most wary palates. Our favorites were the Duck Breast with parsnip, forbidden rice and blood orange paired with delicious Pinot noir, and the perfectly cooked Grilled Octopus with potato puree (+potato chips!) and pickled onion paired with Chardonnay. Don't skip the focaccia bread with season spreads, either! Can't wait to go back and try the fried chicken and the short rib.
Folks the food here is unique and presented as if it is a piece of art and the flavor is simply amazing. The service yes amazing Sydney who was with us during our tasting was wonderful and so friendly what a great representative of the Niner philosophy. The ambiance of this estate is magnificent now that says a lot considering it sits in the middle of wine country. So next time you pass through the area stop by and spoil yourself here. Stopped by for lunch and wine pickup. The chef at Niner is superb and has a deep understanding of how to balance flavors and textures. The grilled asparagus and bucatini pasta were complex and delicious. The menu utilizes ingredients from their adjacent garden. After lunch I took a stroll through the Chef's Garden to appreciate the flora and work that goes into managing it. Excellent wines, deftly prepared food, and a great staff in a beautiful setting make Niner highly recommended!
Niner is usually our first stop when we travel up to Paso. We have a tasting with our lunch. They make the best Focaccia! Great lunch with some great wines! We have lots of Niner wines at home and enjoy them! Fog Catcher is one of our favorites. We enjoyed our tastings and asked for additional ones that we planned to purchase. These wines are so good, they sell themselves. The areas for tasting are very nice and relaxing. We arrived early and started in the garden area (lots of veggies on the vines!) where found some relaxing seats while we waited for our reservations. Like most wineries, they greet you with a glass of wine, so we tasted while we enjoyed the scenery. The grounds and vineyards are beautiful from the winery but also from the road. Very impressive landscaping!
We recently visited Niner for an indoor lunchtime reservation and can easily say it was an unforgettable experience - one we'll be adding to every future Paso trip. We arrived a bit early for our reservation. While our initial interaction with the host left us feeling a little uncertain, he offered us a complimentary glass of bubbly and directed us to an outdoor area to wait until our table was ready. Once we were seated, our server Hannah completely turned that first impression around. She was warm, friendly, knowledgeable, and made us feel welcome from the start. Along with our wine tastings, we ordered the focaccia with lavender butter and salt - WOW - as well as two pastas to share. Everything was outstanding. The food was incredible, the wine was delicious, and the service was attentive without ever feeling rushed. We felt comfortable, relaxed, and genuinely enjoyed our entire visit. We came home raving about the experience to friends and family and are already looking forward to our next visit.
A beautiful winery with excellent service and stunning views. Wish our party hadn't eaten before coming here because I would have loved to try the food on the menu which looked delicious. A bit disappointed they were out of the Sauv Blanc as that's what I really wanted by the glass. All of the tastings werr good but since it was a bit warm outside, I was not keen on that many reds in my tastings. Also wasn't a huge fan that they had all of them poured in advance of us getting to the table.
Fantastic experience! Everything was perfect. From the wine tasting to having lunch. Literally a perfect place to have a romantic Paso Wine experience. The grounds are simply beautiful and quite relaxing to have a glass of wine. The customer service was nice and inviting. Lunch was well,portioned and adequately priced. I give a short description of each food item with the photos. The wine leans more to the dry palette side but all the wines we tried out were good. I suggest the estate reds out of the lineup . Overall a can't miss option if you're in the area. Highly recommended
The lunch and wine tasting at Niner was the superstar of our Paso Robles trip. We made a reservation for the busy Labor Day weekend a couple of weeks in advance. We checked in and were treated to a tasting of their Zinfandel Nouveau upon arrival while they got out table ready... nice and refreshing for a warm afternoon. We were seated in the separate dining room building across the patio with lovely panoramic views of the vineyards on one side and a floral garden on the other. Josh, our server, poured our 4 other shared tasting flight as we perused the menu... Chardonnay, Grenache, Syrah and Super Paso (red blend). Wines were all lovely, but our favorites were the Zinfandel Nouveau and an extra treat pour of Zinfandel. The food was delightful too... * Focaccia with Avocado Butter -- So good (and I don't usually indulge in bread). Nice lightly crunchy crust with soft chewy centers. * Marinated Olives * Golden beet salad with arugula, picked onions and artichoke feta dip -- yum, and perfect dipping to finish off the focaccia. * Fresh Grilled Halibut with a mole Blanco sauce -- Fresh caught from nearby Morro Bay. Perfectly grilled, moist and flavorful. Excellent! Good food paired with food wine, great service, and beautiful surroundings...We look forward to visiting again. read more

Way overpriced for what you get. At $85 it better be amazing and it tasted like a two buck chuck. We started by driving by the winery on a Saturday and saw a sign that said" walk ins welcomed". Granted they were closing in an hour but it literally felt like we were a bother the host. As she made it feel like a table was going to be hard to get. Within 15 minutes we were seated at a table meant for 6? It was just me and my wife a party of 2. Place was not busy at all maybe 4 outdoor tables were being used. So all that energy spent on how difficult it was to get a table this late in the game should have just welcomed us in. Even the entry bar had just 2 people seated. We didn't care for the wine so we won't be back. read more
We were looking for lunch, and by luck, we found Niner! First suggestion, if you are going to sample the wines in the CA-64 corridor, MAKE A RESERVATION HERE if you want to eat at a specific time. The place is very busy. We opted for a wine tasting with lunch. They offered 5 wines and proper tasting pours. When we were seated, water was quickly served and we ordered their House-made Sourdough Focaccia which was served with lavender butter and lavender salt. That was very tasty - the lavender butter and salt worked well with the bread. My wife ordered the Duck Confit and I ordered the Bucatini Pasta which featured Mighty Cap Mushrooms. The sauce was very rich and flavorful. The pasta was cooked properly, and the mushrooms were just so good. The Duck Confit was similar - the duck leg was cooked properly, and worked great with the Heirloom tomatos and plum, all of which sat on a wild rice salad. You can skip the wine tasting and order drinks or wine off the menu if you want. Take a moment to walk around the grounds, look up at the ceiling work. They have have a shop with some neat winery stuff. Staff and service were excellent, and the menu and the food were outstanding! read more

We were so excited to come here. Unfortunately, when we arrived, they were setting up for a birthday event. They said that we couldn't dine there or get a tasting, but we could enjoy a glass of wine. That was disappointing. We explained that we drove far, so the GM gave us a complimentary glass of wine which made the situation better. The grounds were nice with the plants, circular bar, and patio. Very lively. We will have to come back to get the full experience read more

Paso wines are my favorite region in California! We decided to check out Niner Wine Estates and it was fantastic! Our server was Jeremy, and he has so much character, personality, and knowledge, he really made our experience so enjoyable. The setting is beautiful; we were sat at a tall table that had views of a flower garden and the hills of vines. There were 3 of us and we each did the red wine tasting. I am not sure if they had another option. But we tasted about 8-10 wines! Jeremy was happy to grab us the bottles we were interested in trying. We really enjoyed the blend, I cannot quite remember the name I believe it was Club 39. This winery also serves food - the menu is creative with a variety of delicious items. We just ordered things to snack, the shishito peppers, fingerling potatoes, and marinated olives. The shishito's were our favorite, toppings similar to "Elote". I really liked the potatoes as well, crispy with a bit of a spicy bite to them. And the olives were a huge portion! We took the rest home to add to our charcuterie the next day! Overall, it was a great stop and I would recommend anyone to stop by and enjoy a day there! read more

It was a calm Monday afternoon. My partner and I had just spent 3 hours driving down towards LA before we stopped by this winery for a nice break before continuing our journey. We did the complimentary wine tasting as my aunt is a member, which was super fun. They provided 4 glasses of wine as well as a complimentary bubbly as we entered. Next came out our food. We had the charcuterie board to share which was fantastic and huge, before we also had some of their amazing focaccia with a whipped citrus butter. We later ordered some entrees to try out. We had the octopus as well as the short ribs, and everything was amazing. The food here was a 10/10 and our server Jay was also a stand out aspect of our experience. Will be back again next time I am in Paso Robles. read more

We had an incredible visit to Niner Winery in Paso Robles and loved everything about it. The location is spectacular--from the moment you arrive, the scenery is breathtaking. The iconic large heart you see when driving by is fun and memorable, and the restaurant building itself is stunning, blending beautifully into the landscape. The ambience is lovely--relaxed, elegant, and inviting. As for the wine, every pour was excellent. My personal favorite was the Ganache from the first tasting, and they also introduced us to a special Pinot Noir, which we were told is their number one best seller--and for good reason. I highly recommend the food pairing. We shared: * Focaccia bread with pumpkin pie butter -- absolutely amazing and delicious * Short ribs -- unlike anything I've ever experienced; truly a perfect dish * Fried potatoes -- simple, crispy, and incredibly satisfying All three dishes together were more than enough for two people, especially when paired with the wines. Every bite and sip complemented the next. This was a memorable, elevated wine-country experience, and I can't recommend it enough. If you're visiting Paso Robles, this is a must-stop for both wine and food lovers. read more

Fabulous winery and food provided by Executive Chef Mario Alberto! His pork belly dish is amazing! The spices mixed with fennel, sounds and Cara Cara oranges provided a delightful taste! The dish was good, we ordered another.... read more

I found this winery through an Instagram reel that popped up on my feed and just knew I had to pay them a visit! They are a pet friendly winery, engage in sustainable practices, and whip up some of the most impressive farm to table meals via their seasonal menus. At the minimum, always get an order of their sourdough focaccia! Mine came with a whipped strawberry and cracked black pepper butter. It was slightly sweet with just a touch of heat. The service was phenomenal, they have a stunning garden to walk through, and plenty of indoor and outdoor space to accommodate groups of all sizes. read more

This was our first stop to kick off a fun filled trip to Paso (10/24). Drove out with my friends of almost 30 years. We enjoyed some wonderful wines and lunch in their outdoor seating area overlooking the vineyard and legendary heart hill. Wonderful hospitality! The grand main entrance is where you check in and are escorted to your reserved table or walk ins can enjoy a tasting at the bar. With the patio area full of guests, service was excellent. The homemade sourdough focaccia had a perfect crust exterior, airy pillow with chewy bite. Served with olive oil but I also enjoyed with with some of the charcuterie Parmesan spread. The rigatoni was a hearty choice though I thoroughly enjoyed it I would maybe reconsider the corn. Sweet, tender and perfectly cooked short rib was a succulent bite paired with smashed yellow and purple potatoes a substantial serving. The chicken had the most golden skin that was rendered flawlessly. The flight of wines were delightful it was a toss up with the 2021 Malbec. The bottle we chose was the 2020 Syrah. This was a great start to awaken our palates. Around the grounds are other small seating areas to enjoy sipping on some wine. The chefs garden was an easy stroll nearby. Various herbs, fruit and veggies were in full bloom. Private rooms and spaces available for special events. Non pretentious more of a farm to table sort of vibe with sustainability. On top of serving beautiful wine and food, all of their vineyards are SIP Certified and have a rainwater recapture system which received the California Green Medal Award for Business. The atmosphere is one to take in while enjoying the day. Will definitely return. read more
Jay and Sophia... thats what went well... hard to imagine the great experience that we had without them... Jay was our very informed and well educated wine guide...he has been with Niners since the next generation took the reins and has a true enthusiasm and love of their wines. Our tasting was relaxing and extremely enjoyable... their wines are definitely world class and very approachable... the grounds are stunning with the chefs garden available to stroll through... we shared the barbecued/charred carrots which were delicious, so delicious that Sophia got us the recipe... it was truly an enchanting experience. read more
On a recent Paso visit, our small group had a reservation for a seated tasting and late lunch at Niner Wine Estates. Such a stunning tasting room with amazing views of iconic Heart Hill, a large grove of oak trees in the shape of a heart..and oh, how I love a winery that greets you with a taste of white as you walk in! Really beautiful high end vineyard to visit, great for lunch! TIP: Definitely make a reservation online. I can see this place getting packed and busy on the weekends. Wine tasting price: $40, waived with a 2 bottle purchase. What I ate: - Grilled small peas with ricotta: This was such the perfect spring dish, creamy smooth ricotta, covered with perfectly grilled sugar snap peas. The fresh mix of herbs really brightened the flavor. Sweet, creamy, crunchy, herbacious. I was craving it a few days later. Small portion, good to share with 1 other person, or be greedy like me and eat it all. - Crispy fingerling potatoes with carmelized onion dip: This was the fancier verson of fries and dip and so good. The fingerling potatoes were crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. The dip was very oniony and a little thick (not really a dip in that sense), but so flavorful. This was a nice little snack for 3 people. - Wine tasting: On the table were 4 wines for 4 pours, but my server kept coming by with more wines for me to try. Also you got a welcome pour of a white wine when you checked in. I think I had at least 6-7 different wines, but I can't say if that's standard or just me being lucky since it was a little slow when I went. Pros: - Free EV charging, 2 Tesla ports, 2 J1772 charging ports. I was not expecting charging ports, and honestly thankful. During my 2 hour visit I was able to charge my car for free! - The food was so good. I wish I had more of an appetite so I could order a full meal here and enjoy it with wine - Outdoor patio was such a lovely spot to enjoy your wine tasting. It was shaded but they had plenty of heating lamps to keep you warm. You also got a great view of Heart Hill - The setup of this tasting room is honestly perfect for a wedding or any event - Server was very friendly, but not intrusive. Came by multiple times with multiple wines for me to try that were not listed on their tasting menu - Host who greeted me at the front door was very profressional and warm - Super clean bathrooms - Deceptively large parking area (compared to some of the parking areas I saw at other vineyards I visited during my stay) Cons: - A bit confusing on entry. I came in behind a very large party waiting to be seated and it took a while for the host to seat them. Then there was a verbose guest who kept chatting the host's ear off. So I just stood in the main entry way for quite some time, awkwardly wondering where I was supposed to go to get checked in. It took some time but I was able to figure it out and had a really nice time - Pricey. I'm a girl with champagne taste on a beer budget and couldn't afford to buy any of the wines to take home. The ones I liked were way out of my price range (I think it was $120?). Most bottles were around $60+ Would I come again? Yes! I would definitely come back and enjoy a leisurely lunch here. read more

Good food not so great wine. Nice welcome at the door and even accommodated us with red splash instead of white wine. The food was good. Sadly I wish they served fries but I guess they are too 'fancy' for fries It was 7 of us so we ordered a variety of dishes and everyone was satisfied. I had the chicken dish and it came with braised greens which were ok (had a stomach ache the next day) wish they had more root veggies to accompany their dishes. Some had the salad and it was good, nothing spectacular. One person had the prime rib on grits which was very enjoyable. Brussel sprouts were a good side dish as well. Highlight was our server Shea who was flexible, polite and attentive. Go for the food and get a glass of wine (skip the tasting). We also took great pics on the grounds. read more

I've had Niner Wine Estates on my Paso Robles list for a while, and I finally got to visit and it did not disappoint! The space is absolutely beautiful inside, with a welcoming and elegant atmosphere. They also have a lovely outdoor patio where you can enjoy your wine tasting and food in the fresh air. There's even a charming garden area that's perfect for a peaceful stroll or a few cute photos. This was my first time here, and I truly loved it. The wine tasting was excellent every wine I tried was delicious and well crafted. But the food really blew me away! The crispy fingerling potatoes with caramelized onion dip were hands down the star for me. The dip was flavorful, and paired perfectly with the potatoes. I also ordered the house-made sourdough focaccia (twice!) it was that good. On top of that, the staff was so friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. I had such a great time here and can't wait to come back again. If you're in Paso Robles, Niner Wine Estates is definitely worth a visit! read more
Beautiful Wine Tasting! Our server was the absolute best. Super friendly, attentive, and ensured our wine tasting went above and beyond. The red wine selections were amazing, and we took a couple of bottles home with us. We also had the opportunity to try the grilled octopus and squid ink risotto, which I am so glad we didn't pass up. My husband and I along with our dog decided to take a last minute trip to Paso Robles this holiday weekend. We were lucky to score a last minute reservation at Niners for a late lunch. The staffs were very accommodating and arranged our seat outside with our dog. Upon arriving, we were greeted with a glass of Chardonnay and got seated right away. The winery itself is beautiful with a really cute garden where they grow most of the produce they serve on their menu. We both opted in for a tasting and ordered a few items off the menu to share. I can't pinpoint our favorite dish, but we ordered Brussels sprouts, sugar snap pea, white gazpacho, and octopus with squid ink grits. All dishes were beautifully presented and tasted great (slightly too salty for my taste but I think most places are too salty) Our wine tasting was great as well, our waiter also gave us a few extra tasting and they were all wonderful. Overall we really enjoyed our visit and will definitely make sure to stop by next time we are in town! read more
We had another amazing experience at Niner Winery! This is a reservation only seated wine tasting with options to order off of their menu. There is limited seating in their covered patio area that looks out at their signature heart shaped tree formation on the hill. We tasted six reds. All were good. Our meal was focaccia bread, leafy salad, and roasted chicken in a chili butter sauce. Delicious! Take time to wander through their chef's garden. Bonus for us: we tasted at the Ninery booth at the Del Mar Food & Wine festival and received complimentary tastings. Thank you Yelp for the tickets to the Del Mar festival. Niner is an awesome winery in Paso. They have great servers. Jay is awesome. He knows a lot about the wines and about the Paso region. Hi Ashley! That is our only menu. We do not have a separate snack menu. But the lunch menu is available daily with all reservations!

Hi Belen! We do not allow outside food or alcohol. Our on-site restaurant is open daily if you’d like to enjoy food or a cheeseboard with your tasting.
