Had such a fun evening at this winery tonight, invitee by some friends who told us about the live music and food truck. The band was SO good, doing a lot of Fleetwood Mac covers, but also a lot of other hits from 70s and 80s. I can't remember when I danced this much!! The wine was delicious, though I started out with their Frose' that was SO refreshing on a warm, Summer night. The items we had from the food truck (carne asada burrito and street tacos) were great, and apparently this is the truck hired for most of their Sunday events). I would totally eat their food on another Sunday trip to the winery. The staff were friendly and contributed to the casual, fun ambiance. I definitely recommend checking this place out! read more

She is very knowledgeable, friendly and extremely welcoming. Her recommendations are spot on and she goes above and beyond to make sure everyone is happy with their wine and comfortable. Everyone who works at midnight cellars that we've encountered are down to earth and extremely nice. Their wine list is phenomenal, something for everyone. We've loved every wine we've tried. My favorite is their grenache "Moonbeam" and their Malbec and Sangiovese. They also have an amazing port that is not to sweet. The winery cat Leo is friendly and fun to have around. My girlfriend, Dog and I came out here as part of a wine tour we signed up for. We met Megan, who was an amazing host. We always thought Yelp and some other sources for reviews would have helped us make our decisions on which vineyards and places to visit, but the locals are always the best. Megan told us about some great places to visit, what went well with each wine, was extremely friendly and welcoming. We have gone to other vineyards and must say, this relaxing, back yard feel and homey vineyard was by far our favorite. Great space if you wish to be alone or even be with others and socialize. Great balance, wines, and atmosphere. The wines are affordable, doesn't give you the pretentious vibe, and just feels right. Very happy to have visited this place, thank you Megan for sharing your opinions and knowledge, you made our trip amazing. Thank you! First time at Midnight Cellars this past weekend after driving by it probably a million times. I really enjoyed their wines. They were pretty straight forward and very easy drinking. What Midnight Cellars does, they do very well. Our host also poured a couple of other bottles of things he had open. Fantastic. The patio was comfortable and laid back. We did a wine tasting at Midnight Cellars today - it is our second time at the winery. The first time, we found them quite by chance, but this time we came back cause the wines and the experience was great the first time around. And we brought my aunt and uncle with us. Starting with the beautiful tasting area out back, to our friendly and knowledgeable host Tanner, and ending with a chance to hang out with Rich, the vintner, for a while and taste a library wine that he had opened - the whole experience was relaxing and a lot of fun. And live music serenading us through it all - not to mention a cute grumpy cat called "Leo the Lion". This is a small boutique winery and I recommend the tasting experience and MORE IMPORTANT, their wines. Their Petit Verdot and the Tanat are what hooked us last year, and we got more bottles this year again. read more

Love the outdoor music at Midnight Cellars on Sundays. They sell their normal great wines and have a food truck-and some really good music bands-but our fav are their slushy Frozays, that are frozen Rose drinks with an additional float of Rose wine on top. We are wine club members. After our first tasting it wasn't difficult to decide to become members. The wines are exceptional. We used our priority wine pass here which included complimentary tastings for 2 and a 10% discount if we bought anything (we didn't). They knew immediately how the pass worked so that was nice. Upon entering we were ignored until we walked right up to the counter, even though there was only a single group already tasting. The first wine was poured for us by a woman who explained the history behind the wine, but then she passed us off to a girl for the rest of the pours who would only tell us the name of the wine and nothing else. Disappointing because we really like tasting to hear the story behind each wine. I wasn't very impressed with the wine. It didn't have much flavor or depth. The only one I liked was the Cabernet but it was expensive for such a small winery. read more

Our stop at this winery was based on them offering a free tasting with a Yelp check in. They even let my wife and I split the free tasting. The are located on a small side road off highway 46 with several other wineries. They staff here was very friendly and they made the tasting a lot of fun. Their wines were good, and actually moderately priced. The one that really stood out was their Gemini a Zinfandel-Syrah blend? They were offering a significant discount if we bought a bottle of the 05 and the 06, and that was too good to pass up. We also picked up a bottle of their Full Moon a Zinfandel, Syrah and Cab Franc blend. Not my favorite wine of our trip, but probably the most reasonably priced. Worth a stop if you are in Paso. read more

Loved this winery! We first had a tasting at our RV Park, Vines in Paso Robles and I liked 3 out the 4 tastings. And the only reason I didn't like the 4th, was because it was white and I don't do whites. Today this winery had live music, some light snacks and lots of tastings! Their reds are spectacular especially the Syrah. And I also liked the Zinfandel/Syrah. I think it was blended with Syrah. What a fun place. It was a nice location and the back patio is nice. Our server was nice but felt that we knew more about the wine than he did. One very disappointing thing is the pricing. The wine is priced as if it was selling at a restaurant. We bought 4 bottles and our friends bought another 2. We expect the winery to charge a little more than a retail store but we were shocked when we saw the huge price difference at the local market in Paso. I really felt that I was taken advantage of. The market was more than half what we paid. Example one bottle at the winery was $25 and at the market the lowest price is $10.99! Lesson learned. Will shop the market first and only purchase wines not available at the market. Have to do our homework unfortunately. Also filled out the survey from the winery and its been a week and received no response. read more

The first year we went, Bob the owner was serving wine for us at the wine tasting room. I always enjoy visiting with the wine maker and the owners....they add so much to the experience. All the wines are good...Rich the wine maker knows what he is doing! My favorites are the Petite Sirah and any year Malbec. Yes, they do Malbec in the central coast. It is actually better than any of the South American malbecs. The owners, wine maker and the staff are very friendly and willing to answer any questions. Buy their wine and age it! Fantastic wines and nice people are to be found at Midnight Cellars Winery! My friends and I walked in here to do a tasting and walked out with a bunch of bottles of wine. The flavors that they coax out of their drinks are amazing. The staff on hand was very cordial and ensured that our visit to their winery was pleasant.
