Every glass of wine was fantastic! So good , I joined the club!!! Dog friendly as well:) I took this picture of the wine glass with sun coming through . Every single glass was so layered with different flavors and easy to drink. I bought a case, joined the club , as I said before. I went back three straight days after trying other wineries, that just could not compare . We did their cave tour which was amazing.!! Kelly served us every day and she was awesome. The charcuterie was great , so good that they sent us to where the cheese is sold. Has anybody ever had black cheese that taste like lemon meringue? Well, they have it and it goes great with the wine. I now have two bricks of it. The tasting room is beautiful and comfortable very inviting. They greet you with a glass of sparkling wine and you just feel so welcomed by how easy-going everybody is. Again best rides on the planet. !

Robert Hall is a stunning winery up on a hill in Paso Robles. We were warmly greeted and walked through a magnificent wine tasting room and then to a spacious outside patio. The wines were delicious. Our favorite was the Grenache. So good. We also went on a cavern tour, tasting straight from a barrel! Super fun and different. Overall fabulous service from our Sommelier Richard. Wine Cavern Club manager, Kiel came out to explain memberships to us. Super friendly. We joined! Highly recommend this winery.

Here on Easter Sunday. Not very busy, but I don't know know what it is like in a non-holiday. there were three different tastings you could choose from. My group all did the classic which was $25 per person. There were two whites and three reds. We also purchased a charcuterie board which was very nice. The charcuterie board had two kinds of cheese, dried mangoes, cranberries, oranges, and olives. It said there were nuts, but there were no nuts today. I enjoyed all the wines but the least expensive bottle was $35. If it had been a $25 bottle I might have bought some, but it wasn't, so I didn't. The grounds were beautiful. Inside the tasting room was more upscale than many other wineries. Probably why they need to charge $35 for their least expensive bottle of wine.

Came here late in the day, but they worked us in. The staff were not so great, and the wines were average. Compared to other places we visited on this trip, it was subpar. I would skip this place next time and not recommend it to anyone else.

Last Winter, we enjoyed the grape to glass excursion. Our host was very knowledgeable as we toured the grounds and the caves while having a glass of wine in our hands. Robert Hall is a beautiful winery and we had a beautiful experience to match!

We had Michael to tell us all about the wines at Robert Hall and it was clear he was very knowledgeable. He was able to tell us about how the drought affected wines, different food pairings for each wine, and he threw in jokes that had my friends and I all laughing. It was our first winery of the day and by far the best one we went to all day. The outdoor seating and music was also beautiful! I will definitely be back.

We walked in without reservations but was taken care off. Well there was literally no one there but a couple sitting outside. The lady who took care of us was sweet. The whole property is pretty big with the tasting room inside, an outdoor area that overlooks the property and a back side area. All with covered umbrellas if needed. It would have been nice to sit in the main area overlooking the vineyard but was allowed as we had our dog with us. Mind you, there was no one there but another couple. Could have just allowed us to utilized so we could enjoy the view with our tasting. Instead we sat in the back area, just us. They did offer a good selection of wine to start off. The tasting menu was reasonable compared to others that was double or even triple the price. The lady that took care of us did explain with each pour and quite friendly. We've done our fair share of tasting all over but it always nice to get the full details of everything. Wine was great. Beautiful property but major downfall with the pet situation. Understand how some places with the food situation and all but when there's literally no one there and your outside, pets was still not allowed.

Every time we stop, we're happy we did. We stopped for wine tasting three times before joining the club. And we've been many times since. Hayley took great care of us when we first came in. Kelli was great on the visit this weekend. Kiel takes good care of us as club members. But Jackie makes the entire visit. We are kindred spirits, and she's one of the key reasons we look forward to each visit. Can't say enough good things about her. The wine is always great. The service is great. And whenever we leave we think we need to come back sooner next time. You can sit indoors, or sit outdoors (weather permitting) and both are great.

Fantastic wine, I carry their wine in my restaurant. The wine at the winery is unbelievable. The reserves are at another level. Great service. Jackie is absolutely a breath of fresh air. I highly recommend.

Excellent tasting experience at Robert Hall yesterday. We were greeted right away and seated at the patio among the vineyard. This was a stop on our way home back up to nor cal. So we decided to share a tasting and opted for the reserve tasting. Stared with a sparkling wine made of Grenache, very nice an refreshing, purchased a bottle. Then tasted four reds, purchased the petite Syrah and a Cabernet Sauvignon. The $50 tasting was waived when you spend $100 or more on wine purchase. Our server was a young women, very pleasant and knowledgeable about the wine she was pouring. We also had the reserve cheese plate that was delicious. The setting is beautiful and serene, good wine should be enjoyed in a beautiful setting and Robert Hall delivers on a gorgeous setting and delicious wine. A must stop on the Paseo Robles wine tasting trip.

Amazing wines! Service was great too and they weren't stingy on pours. I hate places were they are so stingy you can't really taste. We did the both tastings (select and reserve). The wines were incredible. They have definitely good quality wines. We bought 5 bottles and will be returning. Their meritage and GSM were our favorites. Next time we want to order some food too. If the wines we brought home are good, we'll probably join their wine club.

Michael was amazing! He was so knowledgeable with the wines and the food pairings. I have never had a better wine tasting experience!

Ask the Community - Robert Hall Winery

    Are you pet friendly?

Yes, we are pet friendly. Due to our restaurant licensing, we can only accomodate guests with pets outdoors (not inside the tasting room). We are sorry for that inconvenience.

Does everyone in your party have to be over 21, even if they don't plan to drink?

Since we often have children with us, I'd say the answer is no.

I believe sometimes companies have off days, and employees may have a bad day, which can affect one's experience, thus I dont let one bad experience ruin a company's review. But when it comes to my CHILD, you best believe i will never forgive and forget or let our experience be forgotten. We visited this winery expecting a relaxing, family-friendly experience and instead left with our daughter crying after being scratched in the face near her eye by the owner's off-leash dog. What makes this especially frustrating is that the winery's own rules state dogs must be leashed, yet the owners' dogs were roaming the property freely. Our daughter was calmly petting one of the dogs with me standing directly beside her when the dog suddenly growled and scratched her across the face. This was completely unprovoked and witnessed by the owner himself, who said absolutely nothing afterward. No apology, no concern, no accountability. An employee later approached us and said, "Sorry, he's old and maybe didn't like that she was the same height as him, which made him react".....which felt less like accountability and more like an absurd attempt to excuse why a reactive dog was allowed to roam off leash around guests and children. We also observed the dogs behaving territorially toward other leashed dogs on the property, making it even more inappropriate that they were allowed off leash in a public setting. My father-in-law is a VERY well known, well respected, and prominent winemaker in Virginia and across the United States, if you know anything about wine, you know him. So lets say, we understand winery culture and hospitality, fairly well. Had something like this happened on his property, it would have been handled immediately and professionally with genuine concern for the injured guest.....especially a child. Watching the owner casually continue on in his conversation with whomever, and pet the dog like nothing happened while our daughter screamed and cried was honestly unbelievable. In my opinion, not worth the visit for the subpar wine, if you want to take your children/dog somewhere. The poodles were friendly to me, and other adults, until we saw their behavior to other dogs & then my child....The complete lack of concern from ownership after a child was injured was shocking. Frankly, they are fortunate we chose not to escalate the situation further. Parents should absolutely be cautious visiting here with children or pets. An off-leash dog with territorial behavior has no place interacting freely with guests. Absolutely shocked and the owner should be ashamed of his actions & response (or lack there of) to the situation.
