Booker was my favorite winery on a recent trip to Paso. It was my first time in Paso, so my wife and opted for the terrace seating for a tasting. We really enjoyed the scenery and the laid back vibe on the terrace. The wine was fantastic, and Booker really does an amazing red. Our favorite of the day was the Vertigo. The server was so knowledgeable and friendly, and we had a great time overall. This vineyard is beautiful and the structures are clean and modern. I went for the second time to get a tasting of the amazing reds. It was my boyfriend's first time. Jonah helped us and was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! Super knowledgeable and also very kind and helpful. It was our first time to Paso and he gave us all kinds of recommendations for the entire city including hotels and activities. Even wrote them out on a card for us. Also explained the history of the winery and informed us they serve food on the weekends (only). We will absolutely be back. I will become a member simply because the service was so great. Jonah, keep being great at your job and a super nice guy! I really enjoyed the wine flight. The white is phenomenal and even as someone who prefers white wine, I love the red wines here. We recently visited Booker Vineyard and had such a nice time, thanks in large part to Carly. She was welcoming, easy to chat with, and incredibly knowledgeable about both the wines and the history of the brand, which made the experience feel even more personal. She was a huge part of why we decided to become members. The space is gorgeous with a tasting room and grounds that feel inviting and relaxed. The wines themselves were excellent. Each pour had its own personality, from smooth and easy to drink to more structured and complex. Nothing felt too heavy or inaccessible, just beautifully made and very drinkable. The tasting felt like a great balance of exploration and enjoyment, and it was clear a lot of care goes into their winemaking. After our tasting, we dipped over to MFN (My Favorite Neighbor), their sister brand, and loved getting to experience that side as well. It was a nice complement and gave us a broader sense of what they are doing across the board. Between the people, the setting, and the wines, this was easily one of the highlights of our trip. Booker Vineyard is a beautiful location and tasting room. It's modern, elegant, and perfect for a group visiting Paso. Wine is subjective, but objectively Bookers wine is middle of the road. Not bad, not great - fine. For those with a designated driver, don't bother getting a tasting (it wasn't worth the value, in our opinion). Loved this winery! Definitely one of the more popular ones and yes, you'll need a reservation to get in. The whole place had such a homey, cozy vibe, almost like being in someone's beautifully designed house. It was modern, aesthetically pleasing, and super chill. From the moment we arrived, Chance greeted us and walked us to our table he was so nice and welcoming. Our server, Carlie, was adorable and bubbly, which made the experience even better. The only con was the number of bees we were freaking out a bit until they kindly brought us a small fan for the table (such a thoughtful touch!). We had reservations for Monday at noon. The location is gorgeous and very aesthetically pleasing. We were greeted by two ladies at the front who gave us a glass of Rosé to start. We were sat at the bar area they were pretty steady for it being Memorial Day weekend but not too packed. I will say the wines were great and I really enjoyed the Oublié pour. However, service was disappointing. We were probably sat at the bar for over 10 minutes without being acknowledged. Someone else came to pour our second tasting and gave us a little spiel of the wine. Our server finally came not too long after to introduce himself and do the rest of the service. My boyfriend and I were both disappointed we got easily dismissed and not acknowledged. A little hospitality goes a long way! read more

This is an incredible vineyard. We went on a Thursday so we got more attention. First of all, their wine is amazing. I loved their rosè. Their ambiance is incredible, modern yet very classy. Their location is beautiful and they treat you so well! (They play great music too!) We made a reservation here for 10 girls on Saturday morning. The place is really beautiful. The decor is very modern and luxurious. The music was on point & probably one of my favorite things about this place. Maryna (sp?) was taking care of us and was super accommodating and friendly. We decided to get 2 bottles of rose, which was super nice & refreshing. We did try the white but it was more on the heavy side, especially for 10 in the morning. They just started serving food, but we weren't hungry. I did see a few of the plates that they had and it looked great. Out of the wineries that we visited on Saturday, this was by far my favorite. I've been a Booker member for years now but never really had the chance to visit--work and youth sports usually keep me busy (if you know, you know). We finally made it up and were able to grab a reservation at The Terrace. They do get busy, but they were super flexible with club members, which I really appreciated. I was absolutely blown away by The Terrace experience. As I mentioned, this was my first time visiting, and I let Jonah know that. He was surprised but immediately went above and beyond to make our visit special. He took the time to walk us through the property and share his deep knowledge of Booker--it really made the experience memorable. Jonah was incredible. He even took us down to the "basement," where I had the chance to pick out some incredible library wines that you just can't find anywhere else. The Terrace itself was perfect--quiet, secluded, and peaceful. They've added food options now, and we tried the oysters... absolutely phenomenal. Researching which vineyards to visit while in California is somewhat nerve wracking. There are of course various websites, and I found a few that I ran from because the review was too many pictures of the person doing the reviews and not enough of the location. I finally found a few web pages, and between them and Yelp, we stopped at Booker Vineyard. The wine tasting area is very nicely outfitted. It has a bar area, and low tables as well as comfy chairs to sit in, and if you are wise, nibble on cheese as you work your way through the wine tastings. We had excellent support from the Booker rep, who took the time to explain many details about the wine and the vineyard owners. It was both interesting and educational. She also kept us well-watered, which is essential when doing wine tastings. The cheese tray we ordered had great variety and some tasty cheeses, which gave the wine a chance to show off it's "chops" so to speak in cleansing the palate. We absolutely loved Booker! It was our first time to Paso and first time to Booker and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. The knowledge and stories behind each wine was amazing. We are not the most well versed in wine and very much appreciated all the education about the different styles of wine. Additionally, knowing that this winery is completed organic was a huge plus. I loved the wine but not the employee. The door person ended up being our host and she was very, very rude and snappy. It ruined our vacation. She bragged that she worked there 4-5 years and said none of the wine is sweet when I said it was tasting a little on the sweet end. But the most horrible part was she said a glass of rose is $15. After our check came out she said its $30. Horrible! Double check your bill next time and make sure the words align what the server says. read more

We arrived at Booker which was our second tasting of the day. Immediately upon arrival it is very clear that this is an extremely and high end beautiful estate. We loved the small details from the music in the parking lot to the thought our walk into the tasting room. As we entered in we were greeted by some kind ladies who poured us a glass of their estate rosé and walked us to our seating which was at the bar next to the big windows. We waited for a while before receiving our first tasting and it was clear that our server had many other duties and many other tables to serve and because of that we were not the primary focus during our stay. The wines were very very good and it was very clear that there was a lot of care and attention to detail but not sure that I would come back because of the high tasting fee and the experience that you receive. This was a day I will always remember. This place takes a day of wine tasting to another level. While the grounds and building architecture are beautiful, to come here for a tasting is a rip-off. They give you four sips of wine. Smallest wine glasses I've ever seen (no stems too), and they pour you one sip per pour. Total rip-off to pay $50 for that. Go to somewhere like Daou and for $50 you get 6-7 legit pours or if you're looking for something more "exclusive" and luxurious (with a Booker-like feel), Law Estate you get 4-5 like half glasses. Definitely a beautiful tasting room. But would not recommend a visit to Booker. read more

Booker was the first winery my boyfriend and I went to when visiting Paso Robles a few years back. Their clean aesthetic and tasty wines really reeled us in immediately. They have great service, and all their staff is knowledgable in sharing the history of the wines and story. Fast forward to a few years later, my now fiancé, set up a surprise engagement party with Booker after he proposed to me in Paso Robles. They were amazing!! They had us out in their front lot with plenty of space for all of our friends and family. Their service was still amazing and they even let us tour their cave! Booker is a taut contrivance, a mirage of sorts--mirage in essence: a fake, plastic place that poses to exist , yet does not hold the 'water' as it promises. Its servers are over-practiced and the ambiance is empty, lacking a soul or something I could cling to while tasting the flat wine. It's not good. Service was done by wide-eyed drones not more human than the grapes they stood in front of. The ambiance was synthesized by thin windows and anthemic stories you could tell were drilled into the blond servers' head. Beautiful vineyard in Paso Robles. Just a few years old. Everyone is very chill. There were more than half the patrons there with kids and were very kid and dog friendly. My youngest kept going up to Ella, the resident dog, while we had our wine tasting of one pink, white and two reds. The tasting is $50 (per person I think) but if you buy 3 bottles, the tasting is free. We did just that buying 2 pinks and a white. The white blend is delicious! It's light yet floral. Definitely my favorite. We also ordered a $25 charcuterie board and they even gave us Pellegrino for free for the kids. They do offer flat as well. The owner is actually from San Dimas, which is right next to where we're from! Would be a great venue for a party but I overheard them talking to a potential customer they only allow their own alcohol for events. No beer and liquor allowed either. FYI read more
