Cute place. The vibe is fun, looks like a recording studio and the lockers along the back wall bring back childhood memories. The colors are soothing as well. The sofa is so comfortable! Wine and this sofa is dangerous! We enjoyed a flight of wine and bubbly. Both were tasty. I brought home loomis #2.

Let me start by saying that I'm not a wine enthusiast and wine is not my 21+ beverage of choice but after visiting Field Recordings, I've discovered my new favorite winery. Their tasting room can be found on the top story of a two-story building in Tin City, Paso Robles. Since they do not serve food, they allow their customers to bring in outside food and there's a fabulous Italian restaurant called Etto Pasta Bar conveniently located downstairs. According to their website, Winemaker Andrew Jones "strives for unique wines loaded with personality and a one-of-a-kind experience." If that was his goal, I'd commend him on a mission well accomplished. This tasting room is not pretentious in any way and I appreciated the modern design and comfortable furniture. My wife reserved a tasting and I sampled most of her wines and there wasn't a single one I wouldn't try again. Isabelle greeted us and we learned she had only been there around a month and she was already so knowledgeable about the wines they offered. She made us all feel comfortable and provided above-and-beyond service despite having other customers and no additional help. I informed her I was not into wine and so she introduced me to their collection of sparkling apple wines including the Malus and Alta Gaviota which were fruity and refreshing. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience and we left with two bottles. We'll def be back to Field Recordings the next time we visit Paso Robles!

What an INCREDIBLE second visit today to Field Recordings near Paso Robles in Tin City. Tressa and Isabelle spent precious time with us chatting, wine tasting, and comparing life-notes of growing up and moving about as youngsters of US military and civil servant parents. A shout-out to Zach, Casey, and Rob whose first-visit welcoming to Field Recordings was unparalleled. Visiting Field Recordings for a good wine-tasting of fabulous vintages and excellent camaraderie of personnel is worth every minute.

We love Field Recordings tasting room in Paso. It is our go to every time we visit. Wine tasting is an amazing experience for the palette. It helps that they have super friendly staff like ZACK! Zack is very knowledgeable and takes the time to sit down with us and share his knowledge regarding each wine he pours. Ask for Zack! he

Great spot with some cool character. We were here during a VERY hot weekend. But this was a nice place to chill and escape some of the heat. We had a beer and a wine flight. Both were great. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. There were only two of them during Labor Day weekend and they were hustling! Running from table to table and taking care of everyone. I was impressed. I'm not sure what this space used to be, but it clearly goes off gymnasium or bowling alley vibes. Very cool.

The best wine tasting ever! Kat is the person to look for--she's amazing and made our experience truly memorable. I would definitely come back because of the exceptional experience Kat provided. The wine is amazing, and the outstanding customer service made it even better.

Came here for some wine tasting after grabbing lunch at the pasta spot next door. Very laid back ambience. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. It was a nice day in Paso so we opted to chill outside on their adirondacks. Our server Alex was very friendly and accommodating. We went with the classic tasting and there was some good variety in those pours! Alex was super chill and gave us enough info on the tastings we were enjoying but also gave us plenty of time between pours to simply enjoy ourselves. If you find yourself in Paso Robles or Tin City, be sure to check this spot out!

My type of winery! Hipster, school aesthetics type of vibe. The outdoor patio area definitely makes me feel like I'm back in high school. My favorite wine was the Foxie, which is a sparkling white wine spritzer fermented with amarillo hops and quince. Super refreshing! I couldn't believe that this was wine because it tasted so much like beer. The wine and beer flights were decent, and I loved how they served us the wine in little beakers.

Orange wines, who knew?

Such a fun and fabulous tasting at Field Recordings! Very unique space that is unpretentious. We tried the orange wines and they were excellent! I mean, truly stunning and delicious wines. Domo Arigato was my favorite. The service was also very pleasant and we had a great, leisurely tasting on a hot, sunny Friday afternoon. Yum!

Beautiful tasting room, nice wines, and a friendly staff make this a recommended stop in Tin City! My favorite is the Fiction blend but the individual varietals were also good.

A nice place. You have to go up two flights of steps to get to field recordings. Plenty of seating indoors and a patio you can also sit on. Apricot beer is light and refreshing , pretty good. Would recommend. Had a glass of Valdigue, which was semi sweet and a little tart. Friendly worker and a nice atmosphere.

Not my kind of champagne. Disappointed because they had so many champs but it was a nice place and the staff was very friendly

the pours for the tasting are insultingly tiny-- and the candles in the room make it smell like a raid ant killer spray.

The kind of wines that make you pause mid-sip and go, "okay, this is something special." Smooth, balanced, and seriously well-crafted. Honestly, it didn't take much convincing after that. If you're on the fence about stopping in, just go. Fair warning: you might leave with a membership too.

They were incredibly welcoming and made us feel like family, even though it was only our second tasting room visit ever. Bret, the winemaker, is a great guy. We instantly connected over his ties to Eagle, Idaho (where my parents live), which made the experience even more special. Huge shoutout to Lexi as well. She was an awesome host on both visits and was extremely friendly and accommodating. Bret's wines were outstanding across the board. We especially loved the 2024 El Paso de Robles White, the 2021 Fasten Your Seatbelt Syrah (absolutely incredible), and the 2022 Willow Creek District red blend. Thoughtful, balanced, and beautifully made. The space is clean, modern, and vibrant, and their creative marketing really stands out across social, their website, merch, and overall brand presence. We enjoyed it so much that we joined the wine club on the spot and are excited to have Levo in our regular rotation as we move from SLO to Atascadero. Highly recommend! Fantastic wine, great people, and a 10/10 experience.

We have…read morestayed loyal to Austin Hope--even when cutting other clubs--specifically because of the service, but that era has clearly ended. We are the type of members who always take great care of the staff and rarely leave without purchasing extra bottles, yet today we were treated like an inconvenience. Despite being told in the past that spontaneous visits were no problem for members, we were turned away on a gloomy Monday with plenty of open tables. The host at the entrance was incredibly dismissive and wouldn't even let us finish our sentence before cutting us off. We were told our only options were to come back in an hour, a "limited" tasting, drive all the way downtown, or just pick up our shipment and leave. We asked for the Wine Club Manager to resolve the situation, but she wasn't on-site. To be offered a "partial" tasting as a favor after nearly ten years of support was the final straw. It feels as though they now prioritize "closing" new members over honoring the people who have supported them for years. They've gone mainstream and lost the personal touch that made them special.
