    Turley tasting room

I got us a reservation at the Turleys tasting room at 1 today. Though the inside was lovely and festive, I really wanted to enjoy the sun and blue sky, so we opted to sit outside. Our host Gracie was absolutely the best. She was not only charming and knowledgeable, but also a gracious teacher willing to answer our many questions regarding the wines. We ended up purchasing 3 delicious bottles based on our tasting experience and are excited to bring them home and share them with friends!

We had a Five Star tasting (for our Anniversary) recently. Ive been to Turley before, love their wines but fell out of contact, because there are soooo many wineries closer to home. Malani, the tasting room manager took care of us, Exceptionally. She poured an older wine to start , getting off the standard progression. We tasted the current vintage of that wine to compare. There are 5-6 zins on the tasting menu, but there were several extra pours offered. I was interested in two of the less expensive wines and that was no problem. The zinfandel's here are just next level. Extremely aromatic, boldly flavored and full bodied. They used to be pricier, always around $60 but they haven't gone up in our 15-20 year absence so now looking undervalued at that price. A walk and talk and picture near the vineyard. A stop by the prehistoric whale fossil somewhat recently discovered on the vineyard. The tasting room is stunning, all exposed wood and beams. The outside patio, where we took advantage of beautiful October weather is also very nice We signed up to be members which yielded a couple glasses, but Malani also offered a complimentary (gift) of proprietary olive oil. I mean can you say .... Hospitality We got so caught up in the leisurely experience, we had to order and run. Our purchase of what I thought was 12 bottles only had ten. An email and follow up produced a speedy refund. So happy to be back on the list at Turley and look forward to future visits.

We've been coming to Paso Robles for a coupke of decades, but had never visited Turley. After seeing them featured in Food & Wine magazine, we decided to make our first visit If you're interested in great Zinfandels, Turley is the place! We tasted seven Zins from different vineyards, and each was a new experience. Some of their Zins are from the oldest vines in California. I would call Turley a hidden gem. The tasting room and grounds are pleasant and relaxing, with have indoor and outside seating. Brook, our host, was a excellent and knowledgeable. She introduced us to the library wines that revealed the ageability of Zin. All I can say is mmmm! We accidentally joined their wine club because of the amount of wine we purchased. I recommend this spot.. cheers!

Service was a 10/10. They had the kindest team. It was a little smaller than I have expected but they still had room for a walk in. Good wines.

We came to Turley after learning it was formerly the site of one of the first wineries in Paso. We were also very excited by the fact that they specialize in Zinfandel! We came in on a Saturday morning without a reservation and were able to sit inside their tasting room. They had a lovely patio with lots of seating outside as well, so if you can make a reservation on a nice day, definitely try to sit out there! We were helped by Cindy, who was knowledgeable about the wines and the history of the winery. She told us a bit about the history each time she came to pour, and gave us wonderful food pairing recommendations for each wine. The pours were on the smaller side, and we sometimes had to wait a little while between pours since they were pouring between inside and outside, but it was a casual tasting and the place had a nice vibe to it. These weren't our favorite wines of the trip, but we did end up going home with a bottle of one of the zinfandels.

Okay, so we love our reds, and was pleasantly surprised by the fine wines at Turley. We enjoyed sitting outside on a very pleasant Saturday in March with a reservation at 11 and there was only a couple of people there. If you're a Zin lover, you won't be disappointed. Our server was very knowledgable, giving us tasting notes, background info, and the history of the vineyard. Our favorites included the Juvenile Zin, and the Hayne Zin. We were offered some free homemade treats, too. Well worth a visit.

We had a lovely tasting recently with Stacey. Love all the Zinfandels!! The weather and patio were perfect. They don't have a wine club per se but they do have an email distribution. Like most wineries, they waive their $25 per person tasting fee with a minimum 2 bottle purchase. We happily purchased their delicious Zins! Big range in flavor profiles. We'll be back and request Stacey; she was personable and knowledgeable. Much thanks for a lovely afternoon tasting! Plenty of shaded parking. Check out the inside seating, merch, and decor. Very cool!

A win for zin! If you're going to come to Turley, you better be a fan of Zinfandel. The menu is chock full of zins made from grapes across California. They are known for their old vine grapes and their ability to restore old vines to production. The wines were delicious and enjoyable. They did have one petit Syrah on the tasting menu that was fabulous. We were met with friendly service and an informative tasting. They have a cozy indoor space as well as a small outdoor patio. Be sure to make a reservation!

So glad we tried Turley on this trip to Paso. Really great zins made from grapes from different regions. You just feel at home here and they're dog friendly inside so bonus points! We will definitely return

Had a lovely Winter tasting at Turley. We sat indoors and enjoyed the holiday cheer. It was busy for a cold day in December, however, our host never skipped a beat as we tried their various Zinfandels. We will definitely be back.

I've followed Turley Wines for 30 years. Delicious zins. Haven't been to the cellars but will definitely put it on my list for 2026.

This wine cellar was a little steep for my taste . In order to get your money back for the tasting fee, you had to buy 3 bottles of wine!

The place is very busy. We opted for a wine tasting with lunch. They offered 5 wines and proper tasting pours. When we were seated, water was quickly served and we ordered their House-made Sourdough Focaccia which was served with lavender butter and lavender salt. That was very tasty - the lavender butter and salt worked well with the bread. My wife ordered the Duck Confit and I ordered the Bucatini Pasta which featured Mighty Cap Mushrooms. The sauce was very rich and flavorful. The pasta was cooked properly, and the mushrooms were just so good. The Duck Confit was similar - the duck leg was cooked properly, and worked great with the Heirloom tomatos and plum, all of which sat on a wild rice salad. You can skip the wine tasting and order drinks or wine off the menu if you want. Take a moment to walk around the grounds, look up at the ceiling work. They have have a shop with some neat winery stuff. Staff and service were excellent, and the menu and the food were outstanding!

They do not offer complimentary bread service. Bread is on the menu - House made sourdough focaccia with lavender butter. It was so good, totally worth the price. Slight crisp on the outside, spongy interior, but chewy from the sourdough gluten. Hint of sweet in the background. Butter is light and aromatic. This amazing dish is just the bread. Roasted Chicken was tender with a light sauce. Pasta with mushroom sounds simple but it was yummy and perfect. For wine tasting, they offered a complimentary welcome taste of Pino Rose, light and refreshing. The tasting had 4 wines, my favorite was the 2022 Reserve Chardonnay. It was buttery and smooth. The building, scenery of the vineyard hills, and the flower garden were all beautiful.

But alas, we finally made it happen, and we had such a great experience. The tasting room is beautiful and grand, it was so cool to hear about the building and how it was restored. Tastings are by appointment, which you can book and schedule online. When you arrive the gate is closed and you buzz in to let them know you're there, so I probably wouldn't try to just walk in. As we approached the tasting room someone met us outside with our first taste of wine, such a nice touch. We sat inside at one of the comfortable couch settings, but they also had bar seating and bigger tables larger groups. You are also able to take your wine outside and explore a little bit, which we did. We noticed other groups with dogs, so they are dog friendly even inside! We were helped by Taylor who led us through the tasting, which was already set up and ready to go at the table when we arrived. Even though the wines were all out, she stopped in as we worked our way through them to talk about them a bit more. Including the welcome pour when we arrive, the tasting menu had 2 whites and 3 reds when we were in. We ended up trying a couple other wines that weren't in the tasting, and ended up getting bottles of the sensibility from the menu and a zin that was and off menu pour. Would absolutely come back here for an elevated and sophisticated wine experience that doesn't feel stuffy at all.

Lacey was our tasting room host and she was wonderful! She knew all the history and well described the wines. She didn't rush us and encouraged us to relax, wander around, and enjoy the tastes. We were on the fence about one of the wines, and she offered us an older vintage so we would know how it would taste in 10 years! That worked!
