We set out searching for the perfect higher end restaurant to insure a great meal but after walking out of 2 overrated establishments before even ordering we ended up at the lindenhurst diner. We had a great meal. This place is clean very well run , polite and the server was fantastic. Price was fair. I'll be back! read more

Food was so bad couldn't eat it, what a waste!! Meat was dry bread and fries were soggy. The worst part was the au jus, it was like licking a salt stick! If you have b/p issues stay far away, for sure you will swell up and end up in the hospital!!! Will never eat from them again!! Nn read more

We have been frequenting this diner for some time now and I just can't figure it out. Maybe you can help, we absolutely love the food but it's never right. Tonight when we opened our take out I had to read the receipt. The receipt was correct to a T! But his wrap was wrong, my home fries with my omelette was reg fries and my rye toast ? Non existent. And this isn't the first time, usually my salad has something extra or missing, and forget trying to get buttered toast, it's either 2 lbs of butter thrown on or none at all. I understand these are strange times, but a phone call certainly helps if your out of something. Maybe even have someone check that the order is correct before packing it? All in all we love the food, place and people.... Maybe we can address this, or I guess I will have to start checking the food before I leave. read more

It's amazing how the quality of the food can plummet so quickly. Two years ago it was great. Today I ordered the Fish and Chips and should have sent it back. I got 6 assorted size shapes of hell knows what that were fried and re-fried. Was with family so put on a good face. My diner days are over. read more

Very good food. Great service. Couldn't finish my order - guess my eyes were bigger than my stomach! Lol. Will definitely be back!

the service was good ! The food was ok ! The ambiance was nice . Was a little small . There's plenty of parking

Love the Lindenhurst Diner, always friendly welcome from the owner, great fries fantastic service. Good job guys

Great vegan menu. If you're vegetarian or vegan stop by this diner and do yourself a favor by getting the impossible nachos!! Pleasant overall service as well. Will be coming back to try more! read more

I just been a here a few times when it became new owners...the shake just tasted like chocolate milk (nothing wrong with it) but it didn't have a shake consistency. The food didn't even come out hot after we ordered. Have not been here since before Covid. read more

Excellent diner food. Quick service, friendly staff- what more could you ask for? Reasonable cost for great food.

This is a great diner. Looks can be deceiving. When you pass by doesn't look like much on the outside but everyone needs to try this place. Excellent food no matter what you choose. Friendly and courteous staff and definitely a clean establishment. An older diner that has been totally redone by the new owners. A must try in Lindenhurst read more

Terrible service, and over priced!! The order was delivered completely wrong we called back to let them know and the person on the was not nice very mean on the phone. Lost my service. read more

First time visiting. We went to to the drive in diner tonight and it was fantastic!!! Service was great, quick and super friendly. All of us loved our food. What makes Lindenhurst Diner so special is they have a whole separate vegan menu. In my family, two of us are vegan, two of us aren't. So it was amazing that we all had so many options to choose from. I'm vegan so I got the Just egg breakfast sandwich, and it was delicious. Will definitely be back soon!! read more

Lindenhurst Diner is a great addition to Lindenhurst. Although the previous owners were good, the new owners know how to run a diner much better. It makes sense because, as I understand it, they have another successful diner in Massapequa. The food is very good and they give you a lot for the money. They're also very generous in that they have given me complimentary sides on more than one occasion. They even gave my girls free cookies just because. The service is always excellent and very pleasant. Shout out to Donna! I highly recommend the 'mixed grill' entree from their pre fixe menu that includes soup, salad, and dessert. The meats (pork chop, skirt steak and grilled chicken) were juicy and grilled to perfection. I am looking forward to my next visit with the family. Lindenhurst, we have a new great spot now! read more

Ordered from here a number of times food has always been on point staff is very friendly as well #supportlocalbusiness

Wanted to try this place since it reopened never been there before. Place looks really cool all lit up at night !! Went in, right off the bat the service.... to but it gently sucked. A kid as the host clueless as to what his job is. Finally got a seat and no menus. Two waitresses the host and the "water guy" walk by and nothing. I ask for menu's finally get them. Won't get in to what we ordered but no one was happy with the food. Will not be returning read more

Sorry to say that I had a disappointing dinner here tonight. The decor looked great and we were given a tasty complimentary pasta salad as a starter so things seemed promising at first. However, my chicken wrap and sweet potato fries were both very bland and lacked any seasoning. My husband felt the same way about his burger too, but said his curly fries were good. Basically we could've made a better meal at home. We did enjoy the shakes we had for dessert, although they took quite awhile to make it to our table. I should also mention that our waiter noticed I hadn't eaten much and asked why. I guess he could tell that I wasn't impressed so he offered us a dessert to take home, which I appreciated. They were busy and seem to be doing well, but unfortunately I won't be back. Bummer. read more

the food is always great. everything I order Is always fresh and delicious. I come here often. I don't what's going on but the service is really slipping. I've walked out twice because I've sat waiting forever for even a glass of water. no one noticed. But I still come often. I'm sure they will pick up the pace again read more

The winner of Diner in the Best of Long Island was no disappointment. I grew up eating in the diners in Brooklyn, NY. For as far bask as I could remember, diners were warm and comfortable places where my family and friends could come together and have all kinds of foods in nice portions. This is still a sentiment that I hold today and after Wednesday night, I can safely say that the Lindenhurst Diner is no exception. The Lindenhurst Diner provides and exceptional experience that starts the moment you arrives until you leave, and even afterwards, you're left with a special feeling of satisfaction. But allow me to elaborate. When I first walked in, I was welcomed by the friendliest staff. Genuine smiled were all over their faces as they worked to make our dining experience a great one. After being seated, I was immediately served a very tasty pasta salad. The waiter came by for a drink order and gave us menus to read about the offerings and specials. A Sampler Platter, consisting of mozzarella sticks, chicken fingers, spicy chicken wings, and potato skins, was the first thing served to us. I was amazed at how we were provided every sauce imaginable, and this platter was simply divine. Out of all four of the platter's contents, I must say that the chicken fingers were my favorite. There's a nice juice to the meat and a nugget-like crust that made them unique to any other tenders I've ever had. There were a variety of enticing options for us to have as our entrees and from the many, many fabulous offerings we had to choose from, we had the Bourbon Street Penne and the Texas Burger. The pasta was a special that was part of their Pasta Night and came with soup, salad, a beverage, and dessert. The burger came with french fries, lettuce, tomato and three onion rings. The chicken matzoh ball soup was very hearty and flavorful with a matzoh ball that was soft, but filling. The Bourbon Street Penne featured a magnificent blend of spicy peppers, succulent shrimp, juicy chicken, and penne cooked to perfection, all covered in a subtle yet creamy sauce and topped with freshly grated cheese. The Texas Burger was a beef burger with cheddar cheese and bacon, served on a brioche bun. Just as one would expect, the beef was cooked to perfection and left me positively giddy from how appetizing it was. Along with a very generous portion of sweet potato fries, this was a very satisfying meal. Included with the Bourbon Street Penne meal was a A Pot of Gold Shake. And I can't stress enough about what a visual spectacle this shake was. Atop a nutella and mint shake was a generous amount of whipped cream with green and gold sprinkles and sour rainbow-colored candy. It put me in the perfect spirits for St. Patrick's Day. I also got the Brownie a-la-mode, which, thanks to the superb hot fudge sauce, made it an amazing and delectable dessert that I'm so glad I got to enjoy! As I said before, diners are an integral part of my history with food. So believe when I tell you how happy I am to say that I've added The Lindenhurst Diner to the list of my all time favorites. Between the delicious food, wonderful service, and a super friendly staff, I am very sure that I will be back for many future visits and I hope that you'll make it one of your next stops. read more

A local diner we have frequented a few times and also ordered takeout a few times during the pandemic. All good experiences and highly recommend the French onion soup, as well as the pancakes! read more

So good dude like wow vegans need to stop by my favorite so far are the impossible tots and the pancakes

I was so excited to find out that this place re-opened! We used to come here ALL the time before they went under renovation. They had really yummy and fresh seafood and home-made french dressing lol. My husband and I visited this place a couple of weeks ago for brunch. We found out the place is under new management. The food was good, but waiter - not so much. Our waiter gave us all of 60 seconds to look over the menu. When he came over, he didn't greet us (started with "what would you like") nor seemed happy to be serving us. read more

Awesome food great variety and love that they deliver you don't have to order from DoorDash or GrubHub the actual Diner does their own deliveries highly recommended read more

Walked in at 915pm with the diner 3/4 empty. Waitress took our order of 5 assorted burgers and a Gyro platter. At 9:45 am inquiry with the waitress as to where the grub is was met with "we have been slammed with a lot of delivery orders." At 1015pm with no food in sight, no apology or explanation coming, my party of five exited the establishment. As I was leaving I came face to face with whom I believe was a manager or Assistant who I informed calmly that we were here for an hour and no food was served. Boy Genius's response was a nonchalant "We're busy tonight" The restaurant filled up behind us and nobody was served food as far as we could see. Never going back because if they have this lackadaisical disdainful attitude towards their customers how much detail or pride can they possibly put into their food??? read more

Perfect spot to eat... family and I are new to the area and the staff and prices are exquisite. Love it!

Although I'm not a vegan myself, I recently heard the Lindenhurst diner got a vegan menu and I had to try it out. For a diner, the menu is very extensive and everything looks delicious. I had the buffalo vegan chicken salad and yes, it was worth the $20. Giant portion, tasty vegan chicken (I thought it was real chicken), the buffalo sauce was awesome and I subbed in mixed greens. Terrific. I can't wait to come back. Vegans are welcome! read more

Love them and Massapequa Diner. Steak salad is amazing, we order from them at least twice a week. Love it all around.

The best Diner I've been too. Period. I'm 26 years old and was never the type to think of a diner to be an enjoyable place to eat. Now I eat here several times a week. Pete and his family do an amazing job at keeping this place clean, a good environment/atmosphere and making sure the food is fresh/up to date. They are always looking for ways to improve and make your experience that much better. After eating here I have tried other Diners with my girlfriend and this one seems to always top them all. Don't know where to eat when rushing around on a weekday or looking for a good place to go on a Saturday night with a few friends, this is the spot! 6/5 stars if possible! read more

AMAZING !! I had their vodka chicken grilled cheese and it was nice and crispy, packed with flavor and the fries were so good and perfectly salted as well. I had their milkshake of the month as well and it was delicious. The perfect sweet treat. read more

Since moving to Lindenhurst two years ago this quickly became our favorite diner. We always enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner! Today we decided to stop in for a quick bite while running errands for my granddaughters birthday party tomorrow but today is her actually birthday. We weren't planning to order dessert but we were absolutely blown away when Maria and the staff surprised my 4 year old granddaughter with a piece of cake and singing happy birthday! As usual the food is always delicious and fresh but this wonderful gesture is really what touched me! This is such a wonderful place and part of what makes Lindenhurst such a wonderful town to live in! read more

I ordered a hamburger with bacon and fries. I have to say that although I ordered the burger medium it came well done and grey in color along with being dry. The complimentary cold slaw was very good. The two complimentary onion rings that came with my deluxe meal were soggy. The fries were excellent. Sorry but killing the burger for me was super dissappointing. Maybe a bad day in the kitchen. Waiter was nice. Although the young woman who I paid at the end asked how the meal was I kept quite as she looked aggravated and not wanting to be there that day. I may go back and try different things. read more
