Excellent food - the service and coursing is a bit slow but we very much enjoyed the meal. Everything was made very well and even though we were stuffed, it was not an overly heavy where we felt uncomfortable and we ordered a lot.... Highly recommend the limoncello chicken - perfectly crispy and tender. The duck was very good as well as the seafood pasta. This was our first time since the renovation. Walking in was a shock to the system such an update. The bar is bright and welcoming ( only one option for Chardonnay per glass). Tables are dressed setting the mood for dinner. Ordered the filet mignon with exotic mushrooms, I have to say the fillet was one of the best I've ever had but the mushrooms were not exotic. we went to dinner with some friends this past Saturday, we had reservations for 5:45 and were seated promptly. The dining room that we were in had a large party going on and we were separated from it by only a cloth partition which was useless in blocking out any noise. it was so loud we couldn't hear our own conversation, in retrospect we should have requested a different room but we saw they were busy so decided to try to enjoy dinner. We started with the hot antipasto . The three clams were tiny , there were two mushrooms, one shrimp and two small pieces of eggplant rollatini which was good but in my opinion not worth the 19.00 price tag. For the main course I ordered the chicken limoncello. As soon as I tasted it it reminded me of the breaded frozen chicken cutlets that you can buy at Restaurant Depot and maybe it was! It came with 4 roasted potato wedges which were very good and two extremely fat asparagus spears which were bland and tough. The entrees do not come with a salad. Bread was brought to the table with a dipping oil which was honestly the best part of the meal! My husband ordered a shrimp and risotto dish that was a huge disappointment. He got three shrimp which he said were fine but the risotto was inedible. It was soggy and extremely overcooked and instead of developing the creaminess through slow cooking that risotto is know for it tasted like they used heavy cream in it.He took one bite and left it, again we probably should have sent it back but what could they have done? It's obvious that the risotto was made ahead of time and reheated so it all would have been the same mush. The slim wedge of pumpkin cheesecake we had for dessert was good but again, overpriced at 14.00 a slice! Overpriced, overcooked and no ambiance other than noise, we will not be going back! read more

Came for Mothers Day eve. Service was great! Beautiful dining experience. Drinks and food were overpriced for the quality. I had the Short Ribs. They were 50% fat, then mostly bone and not very tasty. Needed more of a raghu sauce. Had some of the the signature Limoncello Chicken. It was good, but mostly a crunchy fried flavor and needed more flavor the lingered with each bite. The Branzino was great. Flavor was balanced. Portion was respectable and wilted spinach and tomatoes was a nice add to flavor. The pear ricotta cheesecake was awesome. Nice textures and flavor. The Limoncello dessert was great too. Not too tart or sweet and has a nice full flavor. read more

I thought it was great, I dunno what these bad reviews are about, it's absolutely stunning, I think it may be the older customers who were used to the old layout, they normally do not like change I suppose. But having gone there after the renovation, I was simply amazed a place like this was even up here, I thought only in Manhattan. Sophisticated layout, and a beautiful fire place, and the bar looks amazing, I had the roasted duck and it was amazing, and the menu is on an iPad, I am not sure what the big deal is, this is normal for upscales, so maybe some are just not used to it but it's great for updates on the fly, most people do not understand this from a business perspective, it helps EVERYONE, maybe it's not "classy" but I found it classy, nothing like looking at your food in HD, you get a MUCH better idea of what it really is. Our waiter was great as great gets, Ritz Carlton style, almost... but for someone young he was incredible, he knew his stuff, and that is all that matters. Service- one guest was late and server immediately checked if we wanted drinks before he arrived. Which he brought promptly and then upon his arrival got him a drink as well. My mom asked for eggplant parm as an entree but to sub spinach as she doesn't eat pasta. A guest asked if risotto was gluten free. Server indicated Both requests could be accommodated. Upon serving the eggplant came with the pasta and spinach on the side and the risotto was served on a cold plate. Also when food was brought out the server did not know who ordered what which for this level of restaurant I would have expected they would know. Towards the end of the meal we had to ask for refills instead of being offered refills and while we ordered coffee and tea before ordering dessert the dessert came first. Overall service was good. Not great. Food- very good all around. No complaints. Dessert for $14 could have been a bigger piece of Tiramasu. Ambiance- really really nice. Beautiful room and atmosphere. Music was a little loud at times but overall added a nice touch to the experience I would definitely return. read more

I took my friend out for lunch to celebrate her retirement. I asked the waitress if we could order a filet mignon for lunch and was told yes. I also asked if we could substitute the Au Poivre sauce and was also told yes. Well, out come two sirloins with Au Poivre sauce. We said we ordered Filets and the waiter (different waiter) took them back. Then our waitress comes out to confirm we ordered the filets. After a few minutes she returns to tell us that they do not have any filet mignon and that we have to eat the sirloins if we want steak. We were both really disappointed having to eat something we didn't order and to top it off the sirloins were tough and over cooked. Neither of us will go back to Limoncellos because not only was the order wrong but there wasn't even an apology or a free drink or dessert. It was so poorly handled. $155 lunch that neither of us enjoyed. read more

Visiting family and came here for Mother's Day. The place was packed and they were prepared for it. Lots of servers and staff to help, but they could be a bit more proactive with how many people they have. The food was tasty, but not quite to the price. The spaghetti bolognese was a hit with my grandma (minus too many tomatoes she picked out), while the Alaskan chicken went over well with my parents. Dad wanted more sauce, but there will always be something. I liked the chicken limoncello but would've liked more sauce and asparagus besides two. The sauce for the bread went over the best. Everyone wanted it. Service - just okay. Food - pretty good. Atmosphere - very nice. Price - food needs to improve to match. Overall, good experience for Mother's Day though read more

This past Tuesday, August 8th, my wife & I celebrated her birthday at Limoncello. The service was superb from the bus servers to our server, Brittany. The ambiance of the restaurant was beautiful. However, if the restaurant was completely full, it would be extremely noisy. My wife's cocktail was great. The appetizers we selected were fabulous. There was a big disappointment in our entrées. My wife had lobster with an outstanding presentation. It was perfect. I ordered the duck breast which came in overcooked & difficult to chew. They substituted my entree with scallops that evidently were rushed through the kitchen because they were nearly raw. A fine dining experience that missed its mark. read more

This restaurants has delicious food and great eye candy (servers). Definitely try the Penne alla vodka and the salad with a redline vinigerette dressing. Those two dishes really take the cake. As for the dessert, I would not recommend the cannolis. The outer shell was way too think as was the inner filling was not the right texture. Dinner tonight at Limoncello was amazing! We shared the Beef Wellington appetizer and it was delicious. I had the Scallops and my husband had the Duck. Both were cooked to perfection! There's a lot to like about Limoncello. I'm surprised that I never had the chance to dine here, but I'm glad that I finally did. I brought my mom for a lovely, low-key early Sunday birthday dinner and it was great. The atmosphere on a Sunday afternoon seems to be relaxed and quiet, with attentive servers checking up on us. The wine, beer, and cocktails list is decent. There is definitely something there for everyone. The burrata appetizer was delicious and enough to share a little with four people. The Salmon Caposante with the limoncello gastrique was absolutely delicious, as was the Italian ricotta cheesecake. I'd love to try this place for brunch, but would also come again for dinner. It is a little pricy, but as long as the quality of the food stays high, I'll be happy. read more
