The Goshen Plaza Diner is about a five minute drive from Legoland, so it's the perfect stop for us to get a yummy, reasonably priced, filling meal before embarking on our ride home. The scene is a basic diner, but there is something very comforting about that to this Jersey girl. Upon walking in, my daughter was immediately taken by the display of cakes. The staff was all very lovely and took good care of us. My daughter got a hot dog, my husband eggs and bacon, and I got the pastrami burger. Everything was delicious, though the burger itself was immensely big! Next time, I'll know to share it! We couldn't leave without trying a piece of chocolate cake. My daughter was very happy with it, but my husband acknowledged that the bottom layer was very dry, but the rest of it was yummy. I don't think I have ever ordered a piece of cake from a diner before, so I'll take that as a rave review. read more

Quintessential diner. HUGE portions and quick service. We dined here while visiting the Legoland Resort. The chicken kebob could've fed the whole family. Loved the rice pudding. Wish I saved room for the jumbo cookie. read more

The host refused to move our table (hadn't even ordered our food yet). It was so loud sitting in the middle of the room it was uncomfortable. She said there was a group waiting for the table I asked for. I said okay and asked if we can wait for the next one to open up? She did not speak nicely and refused even as two booths to the side of us on the perimeter of the room sat open for five minutes. Not how I would have ever handled this situation in my 10 years of food service experience. Will affect how often I choose this diner, considering I go to relax. The 3 stars are for our wonderful waitress and the good food. read more

Food is terrible, service is bad and they now a a credit card fee. And bc they are shady the notification for the fee isn't at the register it's in the menu (supposedly) and very very small on the door. Owner when confronted didn't like that I had the nerve to say something. I won't eat here again and perhaps my mouth as a business owner in Goshen will cost her some customers! read more

If you have ANY allergies don't bother. all we asked for was ingredients on gluten free pasta and they first refused to provide it because it was down stairs and then they said they can't tell us. we got up and left. They knew it was for a child and a party of 4 people and still refused to provide necessary info. all that was asked was if the pasta contained egg. NEVER WOULD I RETURN. read more

Great experience! My wife is from Jersey and was excited to see a "real" diner after a day at Legoland. Huge menu. Food was good. Staff is amazing. Leeann and the rest of the waitstaff took great care of us and were awesome with my kids. Shame we're only in town one day or we'd definitely be going back. Next trip for sure! read more

Order the chicken madeira for dinner came out relatively quick food was hot. Taste was very good. It was heavy on the cheese but the mushrooms and sauce had great flavor. Chicken was cooked just right. Waiter was Amazing constantly checking making sure everything was done properly. Overall, pleasant experience would go back again. read more

Goshen Plaza Diner - Chicken Madeira - Diners Near Me - Goshen, New York

Food is great . I've had a lot. I like especially their chicken Caesar salad and the alpine hamburger. Lemon cake lemon meringue pie chocolate mousse cake. Altho their Rueben gave me French dressing on the sour kraut and not thousand island. The pastrami had a sour taste alone. I had corned beef one before in the past and this wasn't the same.it was great. So I won't be ordering the Rueben anymore because it doesn't have French dressing unless the waiter who spoke broken English got confused and served it on the side not knowing the difference between thousand island and French dressing. I general all foods are good and a good size serving. My fav waitress is Karen. She comes out with the extra napkins steak sauce before you even have to ask. She's pleasant and dresses very nice.where as other waitresses don't have that polished look in clothes. I'm a stickler for long hair dangling about in food service as I used to cook for Marriott upstate ny. The rules were hat or hairnet and long hair tied back so it doesn't fly in food. Goshen diner has a vast variety of foods. Mexican Italian Greek many types of entrees vegetarian and all are good. Only once my Rueben wasn't up to par. They will accommodate you to make you happy. Must try the desserts they have a new baker and it's nice to see lemon things.they have a nice variety of teas as well so don't forget that you tea drinkers. It's clean and beautiful in there. I feel weird take pics of food but believe me it's dished very nice read more

Stopped In to get some grub It's your typical diner, but this place has great food had the French onion soup and some fries with cheese and gravy. Although my eyes were too big for my stomach lol I ate what I could and it was delicious.Staff are always friendly and prices fair. I've never had food that wasn't good here. read more

food was unseasoned and not hot. I wasnt greeted properly or tended to correctly. the ambiance was not there.

I will never, ever go back. I have been eating there for years. Tonight they charged me for mayonnaise on a sandwich & whipped cream on a microscopic piece of cake. Shame on them 95 cents for whipped cream & 55 cents for mayo. I WILL NEVER, EVER GO BACK TO SUCH A CHEAP JOINT. Not to mention the place was freezing for a failure to provide minimal heat!!! I feel sorry for their lovely wait staff The place should get zero stars but one is the lowest I could give! read more

Girlfriend and myself absolutely love this spot. It's your typical diner with comfort food, desert, drinks and all that. They have a great menu with a lot of options, and the staff is always super friendly. Eggs Benedict, Buffalo Chicken Wrap, and the Chicken Quesadilla are my go-to's there. read more

Great food and service...Really nice place especially for breakfast. I enjoyed the hash browns potatoes. Hope to visit again soon.

It is totally not clear to me why this place is not ranked very high. Service was fast. Eggs nice and hot. Vegetables fresh. Coffee hot. Everything was perfect. Our server Helene was superb read more

Everything was great and Linda our waitress was definitely worth the 25% tip we gave her as she was friendly and her service was impeccable, BUT someone definitely needs to speak with the short sturdy woman who "greeted" us at the door. Not a smile, not a word, didn't reply when we said good morning, didn't even look at us AT ALL! Just grabbed two menus with an indifferent look on her mug and walked to the nearest booth, put down the menus and waddled off. We would have turned around and gone elsewhere except that we were starving and were not about to allow one bitter hag to ruin our breakfast. Maybe pay Linda extra to teach this chick how to be welcoming to clientele. read more

Terrible food. My wife had eggs Benedict and it looked horrible and the potatoes was mushy. My fook was ok but when I asked for a to go box the waitress gave me an unused one from another table. I guess those diners didn't like their food either. Anyway, if the waitress would do that she would cut corners anywhere. I didn't bring my leftover home. Will not be going back. Lastly, why are you rounding UP the bill at checkout even while paying with a card? No explanation or just ask the customer if they want to round up. Bad business read more

I will not even give this place one star. The way they try to treat me and my service dog. She wanted me to shove my dog underneath the table and I said no put me over where there's no people and she wouldn't do it. it was the manager at 1 o'clock in the afternoon. They weren't busy not that section at all. It was the manager who did all this and said all this. What a horrible place I will never ever go there. Needless to say I left. Shoved my dog underneath the table. What the hell is wrong with that lady? I shove her under a Table. read more

If you choose to round checks up or down you should do so in the customers favor, not yours. I'm not talking a nickel or a dime, I'm talking rounding up to a whole dollar on a check that was closer to $.50. I won't be back, but I guess that won't matter to you since you're going to rip every other customer off. How about rounding EVERY check DOWN to the whole dollar? Ain't gonna happen. read more

Goshen Plaza Diner - French Toast with 2 Eggs, Scrambled with Cheese, and Spinach and Cheddar Cheese Omelette with Hash Browns - Diners Near Me - Goshen, New York

I ordered a salad for my Dad to be picked up. When I arrived they couldn't find the order. The man that took my order said that they put the order back because I arrived 15 minutes after I said I'd be there! I told him when I placed the order that we were at the doctors in Goshen and that I'd probably be there at that time. He said "we'll make another one now." Ok it was a salad..not something that was going to go bad in 15 minutes! Obviously he forgot to put the order in! It was supposed to be a PLATTER with tuna and egg salad..$14 and change and there was maybe a cup of chopped lettuce with some tomato, cucumbers, olives and onion( that I asked to be omitted!) NO DRESSING was in the bag either! The salads were in separate cups as I asked but the tossed salad fit in a small round container! I paid $23.13 for that and a cup of soup! Would not recommend this place anymore!! read more

Driving through to go to Cooperstown and needed to eat. We got our food pretty quickly, typical diner food. The menu and options were huge. I had a breakfast scramble and so did my husband and my son the chocolate chip pancakes. Decent but not my fav, but it did the trick. The men's toilet was broken so that was a bummer for my husband. read more

Goshen Diner offers classic diner food just minutes outside of LegoLand. The food is great and the service is pretty good as well. Keep in mind depending on the time of year, this place gets packed with LegoLand traffic. This is by far the best food spot outside of the subpar restaurants inside of LegoLand, and it is incredibly affordable. This is my family's go-to spot when visiting. read more

My favorite breakfast and lunch or brunch spot. Food is good, service is good on most days.
