What a wonderful find! We were searching for a parking space in Belltown, found one, looked up and saw the small sign for Limoncello. Why not, we asked ourselves. Indeed! We were helped by the delightful and enthusiastic Micaela who is wholly a charmer. We had nice cocktails, the beautiful prosciutto plate (Piatto di Salumi), a lovely arugula salad (Insalata di Rucola), and the fabulous Melanzane Parmigiana! I, personally, am only a rare fan of eggplant--but my guy is and it was his birthday week, so I actually pointed it out to him on the menu, self-sacrificing-being-for-birthdays that I am. Came here for happy hour during the weekday! Was pleasantly surprised by their large selection for happy hour! Got bruschetta which was very yummy but somewhat hard to eat because it was piled so much. Loved the eggplant and tomato on it! For the main dish, I got the gnocchi with ragu. The flavor was there but the gnocchi was way overcooked and too mushy. For the restaurant not being too busy, the waiter took a while to come to take our order and had to wait about 20 minutes for our food. Would definitely recommend coming here for happy hour because normal prices are a bit expensive. read more

First time here, during restaurant week. Three course meals for each of us: appetizers were burrata limoncello and Caesar salad. They were both delish. The burrata was smooth and creamy, the salad had clearly homemade dressing, it was perfect. Entrees were pumpkin ravioli (ravioli di bucca) and gnocchi con burrata. Again, very smooth and creamy gnocchi, the ravioli was clearly homemade in every way, super good. Dessert: tiramisu and cannoli, both homemade, wow! Certainly not Americanized. This is one of our favorite restaurants ever. Hands down the best Italian food that I've ever had. The staff there are always absolutely delightful and the aroma that hits you when you first arrive is incredible. Every item I've ever had here is perfection. The pasta is so fresh and amazing. The gnocchi con Burrata is AMAZING. The charred pieces are delicious, the pesto adds a little added flavor to an already amazing sauce and then the gnocchi? Oh man, the gnocchi are literally like the softest little pillows and they make you realize the other gnocchi you've had in the past, is nothing in compared to this. The Tiramisu is INCREDIBLE. So soft, light and has amazing flavor. I can't recommend this place enough, don't miss out on it, definitely go! read more

Nice place and good food/drinks. - I was interested in the lasagna and they were out unfortunately. - the cannelloni was satisfactory- it was meaty, creamy due to the cheese on top, and piping hot (so watch your tongue). My only wish was that the meat was mixed with the sauce or cheese, the inside was dry and missing flavor/seasoning without it. Other than that it was good. - the Bellini was very alcoholic compared to other Bellinis I've had and this was probably due to the vodka, but it wasn't bad at all. I enjoyed it but took my time drinking it. - the limoncello flight was good and a great way to experience limoncello. The flights are definitely shots. We came in a Saturday evening around 7pm. This is already after being turned away from another Italian restaurant a few blocks away for not having reservations. Unfortunately, my recent trip to Limoncello was a huge letdown. It began with the owner (?) being rude and unwelcoming to us as we walked in. It seemed like he didn't even want to seat us, as he had us stand and wait for a long time, even though there were plenty of open tables. Then, when we were ordering, he gave us a lot of attitude. For example, I asked if I could sub a different type of pasta in the fettuccine al ragu, and he basically yelled at me that they couldn't make any substitutions. (Which, totally fine if they can't make substitutions, but he didn't have to be so hostile and aggressive about it). Pizza margherita: this was okay, it had a crispy crust, and thankfully they were able to accommodate cheese on only half the pizza as I'm lactose intolerant Fettuccine Al ragu: this had a very odd taste - musty/gamey that overpowered the dish and the pasta was over cooked. I could only eat a few bites of it. Lasagna alla bolognese: my boyfriend ordered this and described it as "too creamy, lacked any real taste, and had a musty taste as well." For drinks, we got the limoncello and bellini and they were both SO strong (and not in a good way!). They basically burned going down and felt like we were drinking straight liquor. Sadly, the food, drinks and terrible service contributed to an all around disappointing experience and I can't see myself coming back. read more

Came on Valentine's day, they had a preset menu for $49 or $69 with the wine pairing. There were 3 appetizers and 3 desserts included in the menu and we both chose an entree. I ordered the TAGLIERINI AL RAGÙ DI AGNELLO & my boyfriend ordered the COSTINE DI AGNELLO. Everything was cooked and seasoned well, I lowkey regretted my dish only because I think the pecorino cheese is pretty overwhelming and kind of ruins the taste for me. I think the shining star(s) of the evening were the appetizers. Included in the appetizers were the burrata, bruschetta, and a crab and artichoke quiche. The bruschetta was probably the best bruschetta I've ever had and everything else was really good too. I think next time I'd try a different dish w/o the pecorino cheese but 4/5 stars for the food and friendly service. read more

We came here for happy hour earlier this week and we had pretty high expectations since all the reviews on here all raved about the food and ambience. My two friends arrived before me and when I got there and sat down the first thing they said to me was "uh the owner might come over here and yell at you" I was like what?? Apparently the older Italian guy they assumed was the owner was in bad mood and gave them attitude the moment they came inside. Great start to the meal. We decided to do family style and order one appetizer and three entrees to share between the three of us (and one dessert of course!) Unless you and your group have a huge appetite you can definitely get away with ordering fewer dishes than you normally because they portions were huge! We got the mozzarella caprese, ragu pappardelle, carbonara, roasted chicken risotto and the cheesecake with raspberry sauce. Thank goodness we decided to order an extra dish and for the carbonara cuz it was our favorite! The pappardelle noodles were homemade and you can really taste it! The other two entrees and appetizer were good but nothing amazing. But did really like the cheesecake! More of a fluffy texture and good tart raspberry sauce. Overall I would say for happy hour prices, great value for the amount of food you get! Also the decor is pretty cute inside. But service wasn't great. When we requested to-go boxes we got the traditional brown boxes but noticed the table next to one got the nicer plastic ones with lids. The owner didn't seem to know them personally but they spoke the same language so it seemed like they were just favored and received better service. If you're in the area and can go during HH I would give it a try! Otherwise, dishes may be hit or miss in flavor and not consistent service. read more

Decided to try a new spot for a Christmas dinner takeaway kit, and with Limoncello being relatively nearby and still had options available (lamb, ham, or Turkey dinner) it seemed perfect. Instead of utilizing an online ordering system for placing your advanced order, you had to call them. However, you had to provide your credit card over the phone to pre-order (I asked if I could come by the next day to pay in person and was told no). The day of they had all the bags already on tables near the door, and everyone was practicing COVID safety precautions (masks, distancing, and only allowing one guest or group in at a time). Despite giving them your credit card, everyone was asked to pay at their tablet/kiosk. From what I saw, there wasn't any discreet papers with our credit card information anywhere (bags had our names, type of kit we ordered, and phone numbers), so I'm really curious as to what happened with that information since it wasn't used to pre-pay. The food looked delicious but sadly missed the mark for me. Most of the food was either too salty, or too bitter (specifically the green bean casserole which was more green beans with bread cubes soaked in some sort of oil vs a casserole), and the meat seemed undercooked. Came here recently for dinner and enjoyed two more of their pastas. I ordered the "pappardelle pesto e pollo". The pasta itself is made fresh and I enjoyed the pesto sauce with chicken with the pasta. My husband ordered the "taglierini mari e monti". Pappardelle was extremely tender and although the sauce was very good, nothing special. Also there was fresh rosemary in the ragu which I'm glad a heavy hand wasn't used as I'm not a rosemary fan, but it added a good note. Cheesecake had good flavor but nothing spectacular. My bf got me a gift card to this place for Xmas almost 2 years ago now and we've STILL never been in person, but have ordered from Door Dash multiple times. Before this, I never understood what people were talking about when they raved about the flavor or quality of pasta like aside from the sauce it was in, and I was clearly missing out my entire life because I get it now. Happy hour runs from 4 to 6 daily, and it spans a decent selection of hearty, shareable favorites, from which we picked the spinach salad, fettuccine al ragu, cannelini de carne, and burrata & bread off the regular menu. Happy hour drinks are well-poured and cheap. Service is quick and amiable, and the interior is moody yet cozy. Definitely a spot I would return to whenever in Belltown. read more
