When I arrived, they were EXTREMELY busy--there were lots and lots of people there! I did not have an appointment, and the young lady at the front was very nice and upfront with me about the wait. She told me it could be about an hour, or I could come back around 4:00. I decided to stay and wait, and fortunately, it ended up only being about 30-35 minutes, which really wasn't bad at all. I used the time to look through their polish selections and decide what color I wanted. The gentleman who did my nails was nice. I could tell that he seemed a little tired, which was understandable considering how busy they were. He was patient while I tried to decide between a couple of colors and walked over with me so I could show him exactly what I wanted. I do wish the actual service had felt a little more relaxing and pampering. I wouldn't necessarily say he was rushing, but I would have preferred for him to slow down just a little and use a bit more care, especially while buffing my nails. At one point, I could feel some burning from the buffer. He was apologetic when I mentioned it, but I think a little more gentleness and attention during that part of the service would have made the experience much better. With that being said, he did an excellent job with the actual polish! This was my first time trying cat-eye polish, and it is definitely different from what I expected--it is VERY shiny! I'm still deciding how I feel about the style itself, but the application was done very well. Overall, my first experience was okay. Nothing happened that would keep me from returning, and I definitely want to give them another try. Since they were so incredibly busy during this visit, I would like to go back during a slower time, possibly with an appointment, and experience the salon when things are a little less hectic. My natural nails tend to grow upward, and K knew exactly where to place the apex for strength while creating a beautiful slope toward the tip. He also refined the underside of the tip so my oval nails could stay full and feminine without looking thick or bulky. The shape and balance are beautiful from every angle. I'm very particular about my nails and I know exactly what I like, so I really appreciate a nail tech who can explain what he's doing and why. K clearly understands the technical side of his craft, and it shows in his work. He does an amazing job. The spa also provides great service. They have a good system in place that even when it's packed, they manage appointments and walk-ins seamlessly.

I stopped by the shop to ask if they were able to do a specific nail design which included different patterns and 3D art. I provided a picture this design and was told they would be able to replicate the look at a cost of $85. Initially, I left the shop to check pricing at a couple of other nail shops but I was told they would not be able to replicate the design. I went back to elite nails where we were given great service until my daughter said she felt the nail art was not up to par. Mind you, I was getting a pedicure while the male nail tech was doing my daughter's nails. Once I finished I walked over to look at her nails. I told the male nail tech the nails were a bit long and wide. He told me the nails had to be that way in order to complete the design. I don't do nails, so I thought the design would come together as he got closer to finishing. My daughter whispered to me asking if I thought the design looked like the example provided. I didn't think it looked the same so I told my daughter to tell the male nail tech what she thought should be fixed. Apparently, he was not able to make adjustments because he began grinding the design off. This is when the female nail tech came over to stand beside the male nail tech. I told both of them I realized they were closed and asked if we could come back to finish the redo the next day. It was at this moment when the female nail tech looked at my daughter and yelled, "why did you wait til the last minute to tell him you didn't like the nails." I was shocked!! My initiate reaction was to tell her, "Do not yell at my daughter. She's 13 years old and was apprehensive in telling a grown man she didn't like the nails." The female nail tech looked directly at my daughter again and yelled, "well this is your 13 years old lesson to say you don't like the nails." I was literally sitting right next to my daughter as this nasty, vile woman speaks to my daughter in such a terrible manner!! I told the nasty woman, "You don't speak to my child that way. If you have something to say you say it to me!!! I'm her mother and she is a CHILD!!" That woman's behavior was deplorable!!! I have worked in customer service since I had my first job at 15 years old. I take customer service very seriously. I would NEVER treat a customer that way, especially a CHILD!! I wouldn't allow my daughter to speak to a service person in such a vile manner, and I expect the same respect from a grown woman. It's obvious that woman lacks customer service skills and self control. DISGUSTING BEHAVIOR, MAAM!!
