My friend and I really liked this place! Everyone was so friendly and accommodating (we brought a baby in with us). They were also patient with us as we struggled to choose colors. The salon itself was very clean and tidy and smelled good. The pedicure was relaxing and our toes look great! Also, they didn't dig down the side of my nail which some places do and it's very painful. She also asked me if I wanted the "cheese grater" which I declined. I appreciated being asked because I think they make my feet worse. They also had a movie playing which was cool, so I didn't have to sit on my phone. This is my second visit and I am not sure that I will return for the following reasons. - mediocre service was provided to me - I paid for the most expensive pedicure and my nails were not cleaned/cut down - nail technician very disconnected and inconsiderate I believe my nail technician's name was Cindy and initially, I scheduled an appointment though Booksy. When I arrived, I became aware that I scheduled myself on the wrong date by mistake and Piper was kind and helpful to offer that someone could still see me. The site does state they take walk in's and I did apologize for my booking mistake. I'm not sure if my mistake aggravated Cindy, but she insured I received mediocre service. I did ask for the top pedicure and for me, cleaning my nails are the main reason I get pedicures. Cindy never asked if I wanted my nails cut down, she did not clean under any of my nails, and I had to patiently wait the cycle out to inquire with her. I thought that maybe cleaning and cutting would come next but when I saw her pulling out the polish, I politely told her I was a little dissatisfied with my nails not being cleaned, and she responded that filing my nails, cleans underneath. She did go and grab the tool to clean, but she only did my right foot, and there was lots of residue to prove, my nails were not cleaned at all. I have never been told that filing cleans nails, and while I am not a technician, I am a customer who was kind and I paid a 15.00$ tip to a person who really didn't deserve anything. I chose to make the moment teachable, although I believe that maybe just maybe Cindy judged a book by its cover... and it appears that good service is only provided to individuals that you believe are deserving of it... how unfortunate for the individuals who fall into the category of "undeserving".. Cindy, I wanted to call you after I left but chose to leave this review.. I believe this business has much potential and I hate having to say something so negative when this person could have had a bad day.. we all do, but this vibe felt very different and this needed to be made known. Horrible service, they told me they could do the design I wanted and then completely did it differently. Then when I told them to try to fix it they told me no. And made me pay 80$ for a set that was medium and barely had any design. Completely horrible. Don't recommend. read more

Found this place on a whim while looking on Google and I am so happy that I did! Went on a Thursday and got a gel pedi and a full set although I've been getting dipped for years. As much as I try to support small businesses, I'm finding that many times I don't get the best services from them. This place was no different. This was one time Yelp didn't help me in finding a place that was reflective of what was written in the reviews. People raved about the services by the technician. I did see they had a website and tried to get an idea for the pricing, but none was listed. I almost decided to go to another shop, but still trying to support small businesses, I decided to call for the price of the services. I was told $25 for the basic pedi...but I guess I should have asked what the basic pedi included. I arrived on time for my appointment to abide by Covid protocola. There was only 1 customer there but only one technician there as well. It was a Sunday afternoon and it is a small shop. I was greeted right away and told my technician was on the way. I wasn't in a rush so it wasn't a big idea. However once my feet were placed in the water, I asked about the pricing and services for the pedi again. I was told oh its just basic...you will need the $35 one. As it was explained to me, the $35 one would remove calluses and not leave rough skin and just make my pedi top notch...Yall that $35 pedi was basic to me. Soaked my feet, wiped them, some callus removed but noticed later after I got home that the lotion covered up the subpar job. Plus this place does not have a dryer station. I can't anymore. If you can't afford a nail drying station so that people's nails won't get smudged going out the door (which mine did do getting into the car) then I'm sorry that is not the shop for me. It is my non negotiable now after this shoddy pedi I had. Closer inspection at home showed that nails were not cut even either. Just really bad. If they needed money that bad, that's fine but it will be the one and only time they get mine. #Passitup read more

Where do I start?? I moved from Los Angeles to TX back in Aug 2020 and I have been in search of a great nail salon to no avail. I personally have visited 7 nails shops before I found 1st Nails. Went here with my daughter and as soon as I walked in I knew I found my new Nail Home. The place is super dope, clean and the owners are phenomenal. We arrived around 6pm for our appointment and didn't stop laughing until we left. Sophie gave me a Shellac pedicure - Uhhh bomb dot com and my daughter got a pedi and full set. She got exactly what she asked for. Lao is one the coolest and talented in the Humble area - Yen is patient and calm. 1st visit to 1st Nails and the search is OVER! Recently moved to the area and was very nervous about having to move nail salons too! I did a lot of research on nail salons in the area & I came across 1st Nails on Google/Yelp. I saw a post saying they were under new management with new staff, remodeled the salon & currently running a 20% off discount on all services. I decided to call ahead of time to see if it was best I made an appointment. They said a walk-in would be ok. Upon arrival, I noticed how nice & decorated the place was, including new massage chairs. The color selection was just enough. They had lots of OPI & DND options. Yen, the nail tech who was also the owner, allowed me time to select my color and offered me a drink. I picked my color and had a mimosa during my express pedicure ($25). The salon was empty, nice & quiet with music playing in the background. I wondered if there were other employees because I usually like to have my services done at the same time (to save time). The owner said it's usually just her during the week with several others over the weekend. No problem, I wasn't in a rush anyway! After my pedicure, I switched over to a manicure booth for my nails. Yen applied nail tips & coated it with dipping powder (I'm guessing this was about $50 - I'm not too sure). The owner was very nice, attentive to detail and even convinced me to try a new nail shape. The bathroom could use some remodeling. And a dry sting station for pedicures would be great as well. My total came out to be $75 for an express pedicure and dipping powder w a fake tip on my nails. Kinda pricey in my opinion (this was after their promotional 20% discount on all services), so maybe next time I will just stick to a shellac manicure or just normal acrylic nails. I will definitely be coming back next time I need my nails done since it's only 10min away from me. read more

Great service I got a pedicure which included lavender scent and a hot stone massage which by the way I have to say was the best relaxing massage I've had. My nails we so pretty she offered some great recommendations as to the color I wanted and they came out so beautiful she is honestly the most patient tech that I've had and she did an amazing job best part the products are organic and they do not destroy your nail after when you remove them it's definitely worth the quality and cleanliness of this place read more

In the beginning of my appointment I was told that the look that I was going to for was to plain and they could do better. Then after waiting 30 mins after my appointment time they wanted an ombre glitter instead of plain glitter. Some nails are very thick and some are thin. I had to go home and re-shape/size my nails because when I asked for shorter it wouldn't "look right". I'm happy with them after reshaping my nails ,but for $60 I shouldn't have to fix them. read more

I've never written a review for businesses but I think I'll start if I keep getting service like I did here. I have been looking for a new nail tech but I am super picky. I saw that they had good reviews for the most part and I said sure I'll try it. When I walked in with my mother we were greeted automatically. They were all so nice to my mother and myself offering us comfortable sitting, drinks, and candy. Anyway, whenever one gets acrylic nails they last usually 2 weeks and by that time nails are breaking or popping off. I came here to get a refill and it has been about 2 - 3 weeks already. My nails are still intact with my normal nail growth. Soon I'll take them off and come back for a completely new set! read more

Not pleased. I was told that what I liked was too outdated... well now it make sense, I was told that because the manager did not know how to do what I asked. They told me how good they can do design...BRAGGING...well that is not the case. My nails are so bad the other nail tech was whispering...I know a little Vietnamese... then when I looked at her, she hurried up and turned her head, because she knew like the lady sitting next to me knew my nails were ugly. I spent $80 for ugliness. Now I must return to my original nail tech tomorrow to get these damn things off before I scare somebody. I'm not a fan. I have visited this salon 7 times over the past year. It's very hit or miss. On one visit my finger and a cuticle on my toe were cut by the stylist. Another time I booked an appointment for 30 minutes prior to closing time, only to be told when I arrived that they were busy and that I would have to come back some other time. If you get the right stylist you can have a good experience, but based on my own experiences I won't be going back and I wouldn't recommend them. read more
