I usually go here because it's never really busy, even on the weekends. However the staff is very rude & unwelcoming. I got a pedicure- She rushed the entire service and I was the only person in there..., on a Friday..& didn't even do half the steps such as scrub and lotion...after cleaning up and telling me I'm done I asked to see the menu and asked why the other services weren't provided for her to then bring the cart back and finish...I don't know it was just weird and upsetting I was just blown off with half service for what I paid for a gel pedicure service and was still over charged. My pedi, the polish was bumpy and the sides had alot of polish. My nails, they looked better before I came in. The man shaped my horrible. And could not do a simple French tip. The polish was super thick on one hand and the other shaky lines. I told him to completely take it off. I had to go to NOA to fix and they laughed at the work. So I paid double to fix. I frequent here, and had my nails done for my birthday. Something very simple, but they were chipping in 2 days w/ what was supposed to be shellac. I came after my birthday trip out of the country and went straight to the desk to ask what can be done. The white lady in the front needs better customer service as she never apologized for the inconvenience, but only made me feel like I was the problem. She did not seem to care at all that I had a bad nail job done. Tim, however was amazing and redid my nails for me. If the white lady is going to sit at the receptionist desk she needs to have reception like customer service, she's old enough to know how to give it much better than she did. Honestly I was going to keep my mouth shut and just wait till my nails grew out to change them, but the more I think about it the more it makes me upset. So I had called and made an appointment a day before to get a full set. I show up the next day at my appointment time to hear that all the acrylic techs were busy, which doesn't make a sense at all since I had made an appointment. So basically I had to wait 20 minutes for someone to come and do my nails to end up just being rushed through and not getting what I asked for what so ever. I also felt extremely uncomfortable and Unwelcomed by staff... The salon is beautiful, the nail technicians are great, the lady up front is terrible. She brings stress to the nail salon. Over promises appointment times (I waited 50 minutes for a pedi when I had an appointment) and when the nail techs tried to help, the lady up front openly confronted the nail tech yelling "do what I say! I clearly told you who to go to. You need to listen to me!" My experience was tainted by one bad apple but the friendly nail technicians saved the day! I wrote a review about a year ago after having been only twice, and my experiences since have been just as nice or better. I've been about 15 times or so in the past year, for pedicures, basic manis, full acrylic sets, and dip powder nails. my full sets have always been really well done, and the pedicures are so thorough I'm normally in for over an hour between the massage and the hot rocks. if you're looking for a detailed full set, ask for John, he's my go-to. it's nice, it's quiet, and the technicians are always lovely. read more

Horrible experience! First of all it took 3 full hours for a simple manicure/pedicure. I asked for a manicure using powder dip. They turned out extremely thick and lumpy. My technician, Vee was extremely unprofessional and unfriendly. I don't know if she is a beginner but my nails look like a 5 year old did them. I will have to spend another $70 getting them redone tomorrow. To add insult to injury she kept trying to blame me for her poor quality of work! She claimed my cuticles were too thick, my nails were too thin and I messed them up because I picked up my phone!! I swear I was looking for the cameras because I had to be on a hidden camera TV show. No such luck! I hate to give one star to an entire salon for one persons mistake but I don't want anyone else to experience this hell. She finally gave up and said that's the best I can do. I used to regular this nail salon for years and haven't been in for about a year or so. I believe there may be new management and it was quite obvious. I came in for a mani/pedi and i was honestly disgusted with their sanitation practices(or lack there of). I am a licensed cosmetologist so I know TDLR rules and practices for sanitation in a spa. The woman doing my pedicure was fishing around the bottom of her box of tools and supplies to grab nail and cuticle clippers! I asked her to please go get unopened/clean tools to use on me, and she did. She pulled the callous grater out of her kit and tried using it on me ... I asked her again to please get one that has been cleaned .. and not just thrown in her kit after previous use. I almost walked out mid service but I am getting surgery in a few days and I had no time to reschedule another appointment elsewhere. Long story short, I will not be returning to this place, it's disgustingly unsanitary. read more

Disappointing. The woman who did my nails was rude to me, making snide comments about my nails (which I typically do myself). I go to the salon for a treat, not to have someone talk down to me. She did a poor job on my manicure, and just a few days later it's already chipping. She skipped the topcoat on my nails and my pedicure too, then tried to hurry me out of the salon when my nails weren't yet dry. There are plenty of places in Kingwood who do a better job and appreciate their customers, so I will not be back here. I'm always hesitant to try new nail salons because I'm guaranteed to be pampered with meticulous work at the one I normally go to in Montrose. However, driving downtown from the suburbs can get tiring, so I decided to try something new today. The reason for the 3 stars is because I had a pretty good pedicure, but my manicure was extremely sloppy and rushed. The shellac has a bunch of bumps in it, and in some areas, she painted it on my cuticles. It was a very messy job, and I could've done better painting my own nails than that! Also, whereas I normally pay $55-$60 for a pedicure and manicure at my salon in the loop, for similar services, it was $70 here. Pricing is steep! On the bright side, the salon is pretty inside and very clean. I may consider returning, but I'll definitely be requesting someone different to do my shellac manicure. read more

My birthday was Saturday, March 19th. My husband scheduled me for a facial, reflexology massage, manicure and pedicure for 2pm. I arrived on time, but the woman at the desk seemed agitated, overly busy. She looked at the book, and hastily told me to "sit down for a little bit." I did. There was no receptionist on duty, so about 10 minutes later, another tech who was passing by asked if I was being helped. I answered, "Not yet." I told her I had a 2 o'clock appointment for a facial, massage, mani/pedi. She, too, looked at the book and walked away. At 2:20, yet another tech who was passing by asked if I was being helped. I told her the same thing. She looked at the book and asked me what I wanted done. Duh! Didn't you just look at the book? After more than 20 minutes of waiting and no one seemed to know what the heck was going on, I chose to leave without any services because it didn't seem as if anyone there wanted my money. This place has the worst customer service ever. The girl at the front counter doesn't greet you properly no temperature taken and some people are allowed with no mask .. One of the workers name John has no manners very rude .. if you are African American he doesn't treat you with respect . He makes sure all the Caucasian people are taken care of properly.. It was okay. The people were nice and was a nice atmosphere. However didn't like how my nails turned out. I asked for coffin nails and they curve almost upward. They look and feel really awkward. I love this location so much. Even though the Atascocita location is so much closer we take the scenic route into Kingwood to wrap ourselves in luxury and ambiance. Beautifully decorated and furnished, my family and I sneak away from our day to day stresses and enjoy our girl time here. Though I haven't been blessed with a little girl yet, they have cool special chairs for kids to get their pedicures too!
