I was happy that Nail Spa One could take me at the time that I requested. The service was very good. Both nail technicians were careful to do a great job with the manicure and pedicure services. Unfortunately, I have decided to not patronize the business again due to the deceptive manner of the team. The price that I was eventually charged for a manicure with shellac/pedicure was about $8 over the printed menu price. $8 is not a large amount in the grand scheme of things; however, the deception is extremely bothersome. I was later told that the technician provided higher level (including parrafin, etc.) manicure service to me. I was offered an apology for the technician's failure to clarify the type of manicure that I wanted. I will not leave a service oriented business without tipping, but I have no intentions of patronizing a business that I recognize as being intentionally deceptive. read more

I have been coming to this location for a very long time and I went about a week ago and the lady did my nails crooked and I had to have someone else come fix them. Then today after work I had to go back up to the salon because I had two nails pop off after 1 week of wearing them (I work in an office so they shouldn't be popping off that easy) when I was in the middle of getting my two nails fixed the lady doing them got up for 10 mins to go on her phone in the back when I got up to leave I said thank you and went to leave. They then told me I owed $10. I don't know about y'all but anytime I have a nail pop off after only 1 week they usually will just fix it and I will be on my way. Tonight I explained this to them and all the employees in there had an attitude with me when I expressed my frustration. The owner then came up while having the worst attitude! She stuck her hand in my face and said don't worry about it and walked away while I was kid sentence trying to explain to her that it isn't my fault my nails popped off after a week due to them being done poorly. I ended up just paying the $10 but they attitudes were so disappointed and unfortunately I will not be returning. If anyone knows of any small owned business please let me know, I would like to support small owned business and people who deserve my service rather than people who feel entitled and don't understand my nails are not a necessity to live! Nails are a luxury and I want to relax when I get off of work not deal with intolerant people. So.. giving them two stars was tough but necessary. I've been coming here since the doors opened, all of my teenage years and adult years. I found a technician I love, Ti. She's worth every visit I've ever made; however, the spa has grown to be unfavorable more and more as time passes. Today, they charged me $40 for a basic mani/pedi.. literally the most basic it gets. I didn't even paint my nails with regular polish. I found out at check out and asked if they raised their prices, which they did. Honestly I should've asked BUT knowing I'm a frequent client, they should've told. Again, Ti is great and love the work she does, but I can go to a luxurious spot in Houston and get the same thing for $23. If anyone else besides Ti had done my service, I would've been livid and an ass and refused to pay that much. The salon is crowded and they have so many products for sale and posters everywhere that it's overwhelming. Less is more. With the busy atmosphere, expensive prices for basic services, I recommend you go somewhere else. read more

You're greeted by the welcoming smell of acetone, the smell that tells you; I am finally here to do my nails. After signing in, you will be escorted to where you will be serviced. The ladies here are always cheerful and I occasionally see them playing with babies (d'awww). You will be offered complimentary wine or soda if you are a punk and then they will proceed to pamper you to the heavens. Their deluxe pedicures are not worth the $45 bucks in my opinion, they are always lazily done and in a rush. Their nails always come out very nicely shaped and thin how I like them. Their customer service is great, their prices are meh but it is close to my house so I keep coming back. I've been returning for the amazing work that Ti does every single time. i'm leaving two stars because the owner is a complete fraud. she WILL charge you whatever she feels like charging, some days my full set is 45, some days it's 70. My REFILL cost me 50 dollars today, which for how my nails look is complete crap, i'll tell you. She didn't ask me if my length was good I asked for dip and a tip for my nails and she gave me acrylic after constantly reassuring me that my nails wouldn't be damaged. I've had acrylic on and off and then switched to dip and now I have to go back to my nail place when I get home and get them redone. And I'm cut in 3 places. I've visited this salon a few times after moving to the Humble area and I love it. I've had my nails and toes done by T, manicure by Cindy and yesterday a take off and shellac manicure by Amy. All three ladies are great and very nice. I went in with a full set I had done at another salon, that I needed removed to then have a shellac manicure done. Amy sat me immediately and started getting to it. She knew exactly what she was doing and knew EXACTLY what color to use after I told her I was looking for just a natural nude shade. The end result was PERFECT!! If you're looking for a friendly, clean and reasonably priced nail salon, pay them a visit!! I also noticed a sign stating that you get a 10% discount if you pay cash. I only go here out of location convenience. This place is very outdated/cheap in its techniques. I frequent a huge variety of upscale nail salons depending on where in the area I'm near and in need of getting my nails done. I am a pretty easy going customer, but this salon has been the worst experience I've had. I've been here twice. The first time was an OK experience, that was the only reason I settled on coming back. Second time, my nail tech I had was so rough with my nails and fingers, it came off very aggressive as if she was in a rush or on a time constraint. If I'm paying upscale nail prices, I expect the appropriate service. Starting off, the only things she asked was if I wanted a drink, what color, and if I wanted to cut my nails shorter. Did not get asked what nail shape I wanted. I had some previous DIY shellac on my nails that had to be removed. Instead of using aluminum foil, I had to soak my nails in acetone. Something that I have not seen done in a while. Periodically, my nail tech would try to scrape it off even when it wasn't ready... Pretty sure that's not ok for the nails... ON TOP of that, she made a comment to her coworker about how it was such a waste of her time/ an inconvenience to have to take off my old shellac. She said it in vietnamese and I don't know if she didn't think I would understand or what.... But that was pretty rude and unwelcoming. I had to bite my tongue not to say something back. Luckily, that was the only rude thing she said to me or else I would have been a lot more upset than I already was. Cutting off the cuticles, there was no special lotion or oil to help soften my cuticles. They just used warm water and then started yanking off my cuticles, VERY ROUGHLY. She didn't even wipe her tool off when it got full of cuticle remains. Even buffing out my nails was rough, there were times where it scraped the skin of my fingers because she was too in a rush to even bother trying to make it a comfortable experience for me. At the end, my nails turned out OK and that was probably the only thing that gave me any comfort in the end. Nail selection for shellac was pretty bland... If you are into the neutral light color trends or even pastels, this place is definitely not a good place to go. I understand that they were trying to stick to a certain brand (CND), but the colors were all too bold and bright. The place itself was very dusty. I'm not sure if they wipe down their tables or at least try to keep it tidy, because there were grease markings and powder everywhere on their tables. Their price is on level with the other upscale nail salons I've been to in the Houston area, but their service is far from there. read more

I recently moved to the Humble area from the Friendswood area. I decided to try out Nailspa One since it's near our new home. I was greeted by Christine, the manager and informed her it was my first time receiving their services. I asked if they had colored powder and she showed me the colors they had. Although they had several colors to choose from the display was quite old and many of the colors were faded. A young lady showed me to her pedicure chair in the back and started my pedicure. Throughout my entire pedicure she talked to her fellow co-workers. Before she painted my nails she told me Christine would finish my pedicure. Christine's nails were freshly painted with a beautiful shellac color that she clearly did not want to mess up. Instead she left my toe nail polish sticking to the skin around the edges of my nail. I normally wear shellac on my nails however with two broken nails I decided to do black overlay. The nails were very think and bulky and again, I was left with hardening powder on my skin. I was told I would get cuticle oil on my nails once they were finished to help loosen it up but that never happened. After the powder was applied once again Christine stepped in to finish painting my nails. Once again Christine did not seem to sure about my request and struggled (with an attitude) to ensure my nails were pretty before leaving the shop. The final kicker (3 workers later) was that I was charged $80 for a basic pedicure and the black powder overlay. The last time I paid $80 for nails was when I treated my Mom and we BOTH got our nails done. The service was poor and Christine did not seemed concerned with ensuring my toes and nails were presentable before leaving her salon. NOT a happy customer or a return client. read more

I've been to a variety of salons in Houston and L.A. Nail Spa One is by far the best I've ever been to. Admittedly I've never been to a super posh day spa, but in the Humble area it doesn't get any better than this place. They offer free beverages including wines (yum, from a box! lol) and the salon is nicely decorated, comfortable and super duper clean. You get a personal set of pedicure tools sanitized between visits. I won't mention the name of my favorite manicurist since I don't want to not be able to get an appointment if a lot of people read this, but she's great. They offer manicures, pedicures, solar nails, waxing, and facials. It's the most popular pedicure spot in the area, and last year they expanded the salon so there was room for more massaging pedicure chairs. It's also very popular for men's pedicures, and it's very common for me to see a guy getting a pedicure after a round of golf at RedStone. read more

I've been coming here for over 2 years now, and I love it. I've been seeing Crystal and highly recommend her to anyone. I come about every 2 weeks to get a mani, pedi $70 (includes the OPI lotion with wax, hot towels and hot stone massage) and my eyebrows waxed $8 (by Alex). Everyone is so friendly and I love when I walk in everyone knows my name. I always get squeezed in if needed and have no problems with making appointments. They started doing facials $45 and I go about once a month and get a mini facial. It's wonderful! They also offer free drinks, wine, mimosas and free wifi. I've been patronizing this nail spa for 8-9 years. The service is always great with my nail tech, but of late I just don't feel as if the spa is clean and sanitized enough. It's becoming dated and needs changes to make me feel comfortable being there; especially the pedicure area (tile and chairs) and waxing area (use disposable paper lining for table). It's probably due to heavy traffic, but cleaning and sanitizing needs to be done to all areas after each client leaves.
