LEXAIR - A Frustrating Encounter: Deception and Inefficiency On 09/11/2023, my frustrating experience with LEXAIR began when I called to inquire about my home AC unit's manufacturer warranty status. Instantly, they demanded an $89 home visit fee, which I reluctantly paid in hopes of obtaining the information. To compound my frustration, the LEXAIR representative claimed they couldn't access the required information and that only the builder could provide it during an onsite technician visit. This was infuriating as I had the necessary tag information on my AC unit readily available. A technician arrived within 30-60 minutes, confirming my expired warranty, which I had already informed them of. They disregarded my insurance and prior diagnostics, which I had shared during the call. Escalating the issue to a manager proved futile, as they defended their team without offering any resolution or apology for the wasted $89 fee. LEXAIR's $89 home visit fee, in lieu of a routine service, highlighted their disregard for customer satisfaction. Their subsequent evasion of responsibility by shifting blame to the builder, despite my accessible information, further emphasized their inefficiency and lack of accountability. Even involving a manager failed to rectify the situation, with no acknowledgment of wrongdoing, underscoring LEXAIR's disregard for customer satisfaction. In a world where customer service defines reputation, LEXAIR's focus on profit over people was evident. They prioritized fees over quality service. Cory Contreras Came out to our home when our AC system failed on a Saturday NIGHT.. At 10:30 PM.. Found them on a google search for "Home AC Repair Carrollton". Our prior vendor was not able to make it until after midnight and seemed as if they did not want to bother.. Bad move.. It was late August in Texas, very hot and had to send my wife and three kids to a hotel for the night while this was handled.. Corey from Lex Air arrived, advised on the issue and recommended complete system replacement. He told me we could limp along on what we had but that it was in bad shape and just going to continue failing. Our unit was 16+ yrs old and had been repaired many times over the last 5 years.. It was the original system from the home's construction in 1998. We knew it needed replacement in its entirety, as other vendors told us the same.. It was time.. We purchased a complete new Trane XL18i with matching furnace and cooler / coil from Lex Air that Monday morning and it was installed and working by late afternoon the next day! Lex Air, and their crew were top notch.. I still don't know how those guys managed to stay up in our hot attic all day doing all that.. Props to them... Thanks Cory for your quick and late response that Saturday night, your patience with my questions, your brother for stopping by to bring parts while your crew worked, and for knocking this out so fast for us.. Myself, My wife and babies thank you.. We have never been more comfortable in our home.. 5 stars.. Lex Air has our business and referrals from here on out.. I've used them for slightly over two years. One of my challenges is ensuring you're getting a good price -- that's an industry standard challenge. To date they have been ok until I had a bigger job. Three guys were inside with one of three mainly outside. The other two working upstairs in the attic. With a new build I had quite a few tiles left over. After their job One guy left with a bag... holding it oddly but didn't think enough of it to say anything. After the job was done I noticed a dripping sound and went up to the attic. One of the guys total went through my extra tiles and took a box. When I call I reported they had stolen the tiles but I wouldn't make it big deal since the tiles were crap anyway... when they returned to fix the drip, they brought back the SAME three but left the thief in the truck. The operator said NOTHING. No apologies. NADA about the incident. Mind you I didn't know my glasses were missing at the time. If you use them make sure you watch them! read more

My AC went out on a Saturday afternoon and just happened to be the hottest day so far in Dallas. We contacted Lex Air Conditioning and even during after hours on a Saturday our call was answered on the first try and we had a Lex technician show up within a couple hours of making the call. The Lex technician named Jairo was very professional, courteous, and definitely well qualified to trouble shoot AC issues. Unfortunately we had to wait until Monday morning to get replacement parts. Jairo called first thing Monday morning to let us know of his arrival time. He even showed up earlier than he first reported. Jairo had the AC unit repaired, up and running by 10:15 am. The service provided from the first call to the final repair of the AC unit was first class and I could not be more satisfied with the over-all experience. I had Lex Air replace my two original units which came with my house 15 years ago with 2 new Trane 18XI units and I couldn't be happier! My electric bills have been slashed by at least 30% and the house has never been cooler. The ultra cool full color wireless thermostats were just an added touch to the already great deal we received from Lex Air! Anthony and his team of top notch technicians were very professional to work with and go out of their way to provide customer service rarely seen nowadays. All the techs cleaned up after themselves and provided protection for my hardwood floors and even put on shoe covers every time they went out to the truck and returned inside my house. I was having some electrical issues and decided to give Lex a try -- and I'm so glad I did! They were great from start to finish. Ben was the electrician who came out, and he arrived right on time. He quickly troubleshooted the outlets I was having problems with and had everything fixed in no time. I also had a few ceiling fans I wanted replaced. Ben provided a fair quote and came back a few days later to install them. He was friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable. We got off to a rocky start after replacing our AC unit and furnace. The furnace was fantastic, but it did take some time to figure out an issue with our AC unit. After AC installation there was a loose wire that was missed so sometimes our AC was randomly cutting out. Even though the issue took awhile to diagnose, Lex Air was always professional and responsive. I am happy with the overall cost, warranty, and professionalism. I have used "Contreras" for all of my ac/heating issues for well over 23 years now. My old unit had lasted years beyond what is normal so I decided it was time to replace the system. After deciding on what type and size they could schedule next day installation. However, this would conflict with my personal schedule so Lex AC made temporary repairs to my old unit to stretch it out for 4 days. The entire process was very responsive and professional. I called at 6am and they were at my house in a few hours, sold me a new condenser and installed it the next day. The installation team was clean and courteous and got the job done quickly. This was in August when most HVAC companies take a few days to get to you. The Trane system I had Installed back in April is as efficient and quit as i was told. Electric bill literally is half of what it was a year ago during the summer months and all the rooms have even air flow. The Nexia app and Trane touch screen thermostat is great. Just had the first maintenance inspection. Technician, Hector arrived on time was professional and worked quickly. This company does quality work and proper service. read more

Called Lex Air late in the afternoon, 95 degrees outside when my air conditioner had stopped blowing cold air, John showed up within the hour and within 1 1/2 hours from when I first made the call, the problem was fixed. This Year K&S/Lex Air installed a new Trane Heating/Air unit (SEER18) in our home. They did an excellent job & helped us to get a $700 credit on our utility bill. I had a decent experience with Lex Air Conditioning and Heating. They showed up on time and were friendly, but the services felt a bit overpriced for what I got. The repair took longer than I expected, but at least it was done right. Overall, it was okay, but I think I'll shop around next time. read more
