I would give them zero stars if I could. This company, will rip you off and then ignore you. The coils went out on my A/C unit in February of 2025. I called them because they are the ones that the builder recommended because the original installer went out of buisness (or something like that.) They came out told me that my coil needed to be replaced. I told them that I had a parts and labor warranty from the manufacturer. The technician did a great job convincing me that I did not have a labor warranty. And the labor warranty was only with the original installer (LIE). I had Lex Air install the new coil, I paid them $2400 for their labor and freon. (Which should have been covered by the warranty I had. I was apart of their club, where they came out and inspected my a/c units. In april the same technician comes out checks the system and suggests that have some services done duct cleaning for $1147.50, and Air Scrubber for $1,232.50 and a insulation to cover my outside lines(zip tie insulation foam on lines) for $182. This is when I started to be suspious. The technician must be getting some kind of kickback for his sales. (Good for him, BAD FOR YOUR WALLET!) October rolls and around and they come out to do my heating inspection. November 5th rolls around and my A/C is out. I call lex they said that they would send someone out on the 7th. I called another company to get their opinnion, so I could compare it with Lex airs. The other company told me that there was a leak in the front of coil that had been replaced in Februay and that Lex Air should come and replace the part because of the PARTS AND LABOR WARRANTY! The other company filled my a/c unit with freon (AT A MUCH CHEAPER RATE THAN LEX AIR) So November 7th rolls around and the Technician (bless his salesman heart) tells me that it is a completely different part (the TXV ) and the part is not covered by the warranty and that it will be $892.50 to fix that part. I then showed him the invoice and notes from the other A/C company and he told me that his instruments were not picking up a leak. and that it could be from the TXV.....(I think this technician needs a Oscar...) Annoyed....I tabled the repair the ac was working and winter was coming. June 3rd and You Guessed it the A/C is out...... So I call Lex air to fix it. June 4th and the same technician comes out and now THEY WANT $3960 for their labor. To fix the Coil and TXV and fill the Freon. And that is their price with the parts being covered under "warranty". MY UNIT IS COVERED BY PARTS AND LABOR WARRANTY FROM THE MANUFACTURER until 2029!!! I KNOW THIS NOW BECAUSE I CALLED THE MANUFACTURER AND THE DISTRIBUTOR AND BOTH OF THEM VERIFIED MY WARRANTY!!!!!!!!! PARTS AND LABOR! So then I get another company to come out and look at the unit. They showed me where the coil was leaking and wouldnt you know it, it was right up front.. no TXV problem. The could replace my coil and TXV with new parts(not from the warranty.) AND SAVE ME $1500.00. Had the Technician done his job in November, and replaced the coil under warranty. Instead he wanted to get more money and recommend stuff that was not needed. Had he done the warranty work we would have been fine. Even though the Charge me $2400 for labor when they should have billed that to the manufacturer in 2025. I have emailed them and called them multiple times this week. And All I get from their office is... "We will have the Service Manager reach out to you....." And No one has reached out...... ITS BEEN almost 10 days. And the only response I get is them sending me a emailed repair estimate for the $3900 every day read more

Absolutely terrible, lazy job done with identifying problem with HVAC/AC unit. Came for routine maintenance and said no issues despite us complaining about the AC unit and then shortly after required significant maintenance with very inflated and inconsistent prices thrown out. Poor customer service and kept trying to blame us for "not communicating the issue" when they came for maintenance (even though we clearly did) because they didn't document it. We have cancelled our memberships and will not be using them again. read more

I had their HVAC and plumbing tech come out. HVAC was a regular service rune up. Tech is supposed to check everything then recommend what's needed. Tech said based on his knowledge it appeared I had a Freon leak. I asked if he actually saw a leak, he said no. In order to check for a leak, I had to pay $300+. I'm confused because I'm on their service plan and when you come to do maintenance check, you are already paid to check everything. I refused to pay any more money. Then he starts going over what other thing need replacing and said a new HVAC would take care of all that. My system is only 9 years old. Then he said they would not honor my warranty that I have a year left on. He seemed pissed that I would not buy the new system. Now the plumbing issue, I heard a loud noise at 2:30 am after flushing g the toilet. Sounded like pipes knocking. Tech came out but the noise had stopped. Tech said oh it was probably air bubbles or something to that effect. The next day it happened again when I flushed my other toilet and I recorded it. I call the company and sent them the video. Tech came back out and said I needed to change something on all my toilets (3), and replace the water heater. Then argued that I needed to pay another $69 trip fee. I showed him a text message from the company saying no charge. Then, He kept referencing his dad who was a master plumber; "my dad said this...my dad said that. Come to find out he was only with the company for 3 weeks. He too seemed pissed that I wouldn't consent to his recommendations and even more when I said I was going to get other quotes. I have been with this company since I purchased my home in 2017. I hate being pressured and bullied into spending my money. AC dude gave a quote of $9,000+ to replace a coil thingy and something else. Crooks! read more

At first, I was impressed: Paul, their representative, was local, professional, and even provided an initial quote by email--which I appreciated. He later came by in person to ensure there wouldn't be any "surprises" at the end of the job. My wife and I were impressed with how he presented himself and explained options. I was clear from the start: I wanted the best equipment within budget, no games, no back-and-forth haggling. I told him I'd be making my decision only after hearing from all vendors. Up to this point, everything seemed professional. Unfortunately, this is where things went sour. When I received my final bid from another company, Paul came back with a lower price to beat it. While I respect competitive pricing, what followed was pushy and unprofessional. His last two messages crossed the line--condescending and pressuring me to "decide now or lose the deal." It felt more like dealing with a used car salesman than a home services professional. At that moment, I realized: if this is how I'm treated before signing, how would they treat me after being paid? That thought alone was enough for me to walk away, even if it meant paying more elsewhere. Respect matters, and professionalism shouldn't disappear just because a customer needs time to decide. Had the interaction ended on a professional note, I would have happily given Lex Air a 5-star review, even if I chose another vendor. Instead, Paul's pushy tactics ensured I won't use or recommend Lex Air. My recommendation: Avoid the high-pressure sales experience. If you want professionalism and respect, call Airview AC or Metro AC instead. They'll give you the peace of mind and aftercare you deserve. Business is business--it's not personal. One of my units stopped blowing cool air and I had Lex Air come out that day to take a look. The technician looked at the unit for 15 minutes and told me that the heart of the system had gone out and that to fix it would be around $5,000 (if he could find the part, which he was doubtful that he could) or we could get a brand new unit. He kept saying that they could install the unit that day once I did my financing (felt very pressured). I decided to get a second opinion and had someone come out the next day. Their diagnosis of my system was that the capacitor needed to be replaced and he mentioned that it appeared that our system had been drained as there was oil all over the unit. No leaks were found and once the capacitor was replaced and refrigerant added, our system was back up and running. I called Lex Air 3 times to speak with a manager and got one call back which I promptly returned and no one returned my call. I had been a loyal Aire Texas customer for many years but once they merged with Lex Air my experience has been lackluster at best. Not only do they have great service techs but they are prompt, professional, and knowledgeable. My routine service today was performed by Greg Fierros. He went out of his way to explain everything to me. He didn't just check the system, say "by the way you need "such-and-such" while trying to sell me something I didn't really need. You know the kind of serviceman I'm talking about. Also want to give a shout out to Reece Graham who is also a tech of the highest calibur. Bad experience, they were really quick to come out and had nice manners, aside from that they completely had no clue of what the issue was, the tech even forgot to put a screw back in the AC. They wanted to replace the whole air handler, I called another company to get a 2nd opinion and it turned out it was a simple clogged filter. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! I paid $15,700 for a new AC system. On the day of install ( mid July) the unit kept failing. My family of 5, plus 2 dogs, had to move to a hotel for 9 days while they tried to get it working. Upon returning home, there were 4 water spots on our vaulted ceiling where the AC line was dripping, causing interior damage. They did not compensate us for the hotel or the interior damage, which cost over $1k to repair. After 28 months the unit wasn't cooling properly so I called them to check it out. They said I needed a part replaced and the estimate was $1075. I reminded them I have a 10yr parts warranty and emailed them my invoice reflecting that fact. They said its a lot of labor so that's just what we have to pay the technician, your part is covered. I immediately called another company and asked them to inspect for any problems. They came out and got my AC blowing cold again for only $125. LEXAIR, or whatever name they go by now, is an ABSOLUTE SCAM. They do not honor any warranty and the AC company that came out and fixed it for $125 told me their installation won't pass inspection. AVOID LEX AIR PLUMBING ELECTRIC / SERVICE STAR Inc! They are Just a money grab operation! Gave me a $485 estimate for a $60 cartridge that wasn't even bad!! My bathtub faucet was dripping and called Lex for plumbing service since I wes told plumbing was covered as part of the service plan. They sent a couple of young guys out who just eyeballed my drilling faucet for a few seconds, took a picture, and told me it was a bad cartridge. They didn't turn the faucet or remove the cover and inspect it. They went outside for a couple of minutes and came in with a quote for a $485 to replace the carriage. Needless to say, I turned down their outrageous and ridiculous offer. After they left I decided to take off the cover, talked to Delta and found that there was absolutely nothing wrong with the cartridge. All I found was just a couple of loose screws in the cover. I put the cover back on and tightened up the screws the drip stopped. Lex Service Star Plumbing could have done that but did absolutely nothing except try to take $485 to replace a part that wasn't even broken. And on top of that they still charged me $70 as service fee for zero service!! Called the office and explained what happened. The service manager called me back and was defensive, then hung up on me. I've used them for slightly over two years. One of my challenges is ensuring you're getting a good price -- that's an industry standard challenge. To date they have been ok until I had a bigger job. Three guys were inside with one of three mainly outside. The other two working upstairs in the attic. With a new build I had quite a few tiles left over. After their job One guy left with a bag... holding it oddly but didn't think enough of it to say anything. After the job was done I noticed a dripping sound and went up to the attic. One of the guys total went through my extra tiles and took a box. When I call I reported they had stolen the tiles but I wouldn't make it big deal since the tiles were crap anyway... when they returned to fix the drip, they brought back the SAME three but left the thief in the truck. The operator said NOTHING. No apologies. NADA about the incident. Mind you I didn't know my glasses were missing at the time. If you use them make sure you watch them! read more

Then I asked the guy if the trip charge would be waived, no only on a minimum $375 total. Really? Then I asked him to change out my air filter while he was up there. He said it didn't need changing. Called about my thermostat touch screen going out. My thermostat was under warranty and would be covered however I would have to pay for labor and trip charge. Trip charge was $90, which was fine, but the labor charge to take the face plate off my thermostat and replace it with a new one cost me $325! No new wiring was needed or the electricity shut off. Just replacing the front plate was $325. Absolutely ridiculous! I even asked if I could go and pick up another thermostat and replace it myself and was told "no". I would have been fine with $150, but $414 to replace the front plate of a thermostat. You guys can do better than that. I feel like since my thermostat was free due to being under warranty that they inflated the cost to replace to would cover the loss of the replacements thermostat. Used to be good, now their customer service, and service is trash... We used Lex Air when we were at our previous home and they were wonderful. The people answering the phone were always very friendly, they showed up on time, and the service was spot on. We had them replace our HVAC units, and complete some duct work, in 2021 and we couldn't have been more pleased. We were part of their regular maintenance program and never had a problem with service. When we moved into our new home in August this year, we called Lex Air again to service our unit because we had enjoyed such great service previously. First thing - when I called they asked me if I was a previous customer and I said "yes" so they asked me for my old address. I provided it to them and then was told I needed to be transferred to someone else. Odd, I thought, as that had never happened before but things change so I stayed on the line for the next person. When the next young lady answered the phone she asked me for my new address and then I was told I needed to be transferred again. At this point, I have no idea what's going on, but I finally got to someone who scheduled us for summer service on the HVAC unit. On the day of the service Lex Air customer service calls me and says the technician is there and we're not. I confirmed the address and, even though I had provided them with my new address, they sent the technician to the old address. Fortunately, they are only about 5 miles from each other so the technician made it to our new home within the originally scheduled time. When he comes in he asks me what service we're needing and I told him I asked them to do the standard summer cleaning on the unit. He then tells me that they didn't put that in the notes. Ok, so now I'm just annoyed. He said he would do it anyway, which I appreciated, and he told us we would need to replace the units in the next year or so, which we weren't surprised about because the home and units are over 10 years old and we were already experiencing some problems we had in our old home. We also signed up for their yearly maintenance plan for $239 (I believe). He left and I decided to call Lex Air to schedule someone to come out and provide us an estimate to replace the units - since we had used them previously. When I called, I gave them my address and was again transferred to someone else. As soon as they picked up the phone they asked if I would hold and before I could answer they put me on hold. This Is one of my ultimate pet peeves and in that moment I decided I was done with this company. When the young lady got back on the line I told her that I was unsatisfied with their service and that I wanted to cancel the yearly maintenance plan and be provided a refund (since I hadn't used it yet). I guess I shouldn't be surprised, but the young lady didn't ask what was wrong or make any attempt to address the issues, but she told me she couldn't refund the fees and I would need to speak with a manager. I was put on hold for one and about two minutes later was told a manager wasn't available and they would call me back in 48 hours. 72 hours later I hadn't received a call so I called them back. This time, I was told there was an emergency and no managers were available, but that the manager was aware of my situation and would give me a call back. A few days later I still hadn't received a call so I called again and explained that I'd been waiting over a week to speak with a manager and no one had reached out to me. Lo and behold, the young lady who answered the phone (who was not a manager) decided to just refund me the money right and there. I didn't need to talk to a manager after all. Go figure. After a little research it appears Lex Air has merged with another company which explains why they kept transferring my calls back and forth. On top of that, I had someone else come look at the units to provide a quote and they told me the cleaning of the unit and draining of the water in the pans hadn't been done, so I don't know what kind of "maintenance" I paid for on the units. Regardless, save yourself some time and call Medley Heat & Air or Baker's Brothers. We decided to go with Baker's Brothers because the quote we got from Medley to replace our HVAC was higher than Baker's Brothers, for a lesser unit, and they were going to be a month or two out to install (Baker's Brothers came on a Friday and scheduled installation for the very next day). In addition, Baker's Brothers has a service plan for $9.99 a month which provides 15% off services (we had them install some new lights in our home and we already saved more money than the service costs for the whole year) and the service includes maintenance of HVAC, plumbing and electric. I also recommend Medley, though, because according to reviews not everyone has had the same great service with Baker's Brothers as I did and Medley is another good option. Either way BEWARE of Lex Air! I would NEVER recommend them to anyone!! read more

If I could have given them zero stars I would have. After spending over $20k in repairs for a 5 ton commercial unit over the course of this summer in multiple visits (10 or more) the unit would work, then fail or freeze up again. After expressing my displeasure with them again today "Bobbi" told me that we would incur the $127.00 truck charge regardless. I get that this is pretty standard across the metroplex, but if I've already spent over $20k with your company to fix this, you'd think that the least you could do would be to waive the truck charge. He said, "What if it has nothing to do with the repairs we've done?!??". Seriously. For $20k I could have bought an entirely new unit and you're trying to tell me that it continually failing to cool is a new issue? Unbelievable. Steer clear from this company at all costs. Maybe she got Clay instead of Anthony, Dusty & Tim ??? the most unprofessional group i've worked with in a long time. health warning: do not use this company if you have high blood pressure or any issues related to stress -- misrepresented what they would do to get the job -- took forever to schedule install the unit -- by their own statements "was a thoroughly embarrassing install" so bad they FIRED the installer on the spot. -- owner blamed me for trying to get it fixed to the level promised and called and harassed me saying I was a jerk for withholding payment til we had a consensus that the work was completed. never ever consider using these guys!!!! Salesperson Dusty (469) 836-4954 promised to complete an install for my mom's house - including replacing a unit with a coolant line leak and ensuring the system sold would cool the house - simple enough. We were happy buying any size unit that they recommended would do the job (and fit in the space) and pay for any work necessary to get that done. We gave no push back on price other than to say we needed a system that "worked" so we could show the house to sell it. Dusty and subsequent employees absolutely promised they'd "make it work" and that "I'd be happy before they required payment," in all circumstances. Dusty promised that I was covered in getting the above promises with the invoice given. They took forever to schedule the install, during which time we were sweltering and couldn't do any other work on the house, then they sent the MOST incompetent installers imaginable. BY THEIR OWN STATEMENTS the install "was thoroughly embarrassing", so bad they FIRED the installer on the spot and had to basically re-install the system (a process that took several days - across various scheduling difficulties). Of course, the system didn't do the job and was low on coolant a week later, then again 2 weeks later; they reused the same line that had the leak. They tore out the drainage line that they promised they would leave intact and told me we didn't need it, even though I KNOW it's not going to drain properly over time as it took us years to get to a system that worked reliably in the location for the previous unit. They refused to fix the vents that the fired installer put in that are so kinked they don't blow any air and AGAIN BY THEIR OWN ADMISSION will only cause condensation/water leak issues. Despite the time it took them for the installation and fixes (which are still incomplete), the "owner" of the company Anthony (972) 898-3260 called and berated me for not having made payment -- claiming they only needed to do a fraction of what was promised in the invoice and that they had spent all the time they intended to spend working on the project (regardless of the system not working as promised), what did we care "doesn't matter if it works right, as we are selling the house anyway." We'll get someone reputable to fix the remaining issues before we let these guys on the property again. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY TO DO WHAT THEY SAY THEY ARE GOING TO DO EVEN IN WRITING IN THE INVOICE! DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY TO DO COMPETENT WORK! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY If you need your A/C to work within 45 days. There were NUMEROUS other issues that the original installers created that were fixed including but not limited to them installing the concrete pad suspended atop an older concrete pad balanced on pavers they stole from my garden and broke into pieces, I did not list all of the problems I had with the company. I am giving two stars only because I liked the service people. They were polite and respectful. Unfortunately the three that came out did not know what they were doing. We spent almost a $1,000 and had to hire another company after no reply for two days. The other company fixed it on the first try. It is terribly unfortunate that Angie chose to ignore the calls for help. The work was for a commercial office in Dallas. Ac was on the ground. I even told them what was wrong but none of the three even looked at the problem. They did do a good job of blaming each other. Daikin split HVAC unit. It wouldn't cool, I called Daikin and they recommended this company. First tech came out, and "did something" and the unit worked. About one hour after he left, condensate was leaking from the left front of the unit. I called them back and another tech said the outside condensate hose was too long, I shortened it and leak continued after he left. I took the cover off the interior unit, studied where the leak was coming from and discovered the original installer (not Lex) had mounted it not level. Rather than remounting the interior unit, I pulled the drain plug on the left side, added a "T" fitting and water now drained down the hose, not out of the unit. I was charged $89 times 2. I notified Lex and no response. Lex also performed routine "maintenance" on another unit. A nonsensical report was given to me with recommendations for them to do several thousand dollars of additional service...clean ducts. The tech removed the furnace filter stating it "did no good" as it was 4" thick, not 5". He left the furnace without a filter as he did not have one in the truck. Also, he did not rinse out the fins of the exterior condenser. They had 3 chances, failed all three. Avoid Lex. read more

DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE FOR YOUR HVAC REPAIRS. We called them to repair our 2 year old Trane system on which the full warranty had just expired (parts were still covered.) It Would appear that their primary business plan is to sell their maintenance contracts rather than actually service your heating and cooling system. Before the technician showed up we got two separate calls trying to sell us their plan which we declined. When the technician showed up he also tried to sell us their plan. When he finally got to diagnosing our problem he determined we needed a new blower and transformer. He quoted $900 for labor to put in these parts. We Thought this was very high but assumed that a great deal of labor would be involved for this amount of money. Remember the parts were covered under the warranty. Although the price was too high we are senior citizens and needed heat as cold weather was coming. When he came back we were amazed when the job was completed in no more than an hour. We realized we were being swindled and complained loudly to the technician. He said he could do nothing so we called management. They were conviently unavailable. They assured us they would call us the next business day to resolve our complaint. WE NEVER HEARD FROM THEM. I REPEAT DO NOT TAKE A CHANCE ON THIS PLACE read more

Zero stars if I was able to. Manager/Anthony is very rude and defensive, I felt like I was being talked down to. I do not understand anything about hvac, therefore I contacted Lex Air. $80 for a diagnostic appointment and the technician doesn't even know where the furnace was located. Honestly, a waste of money and time I took off from work. They stated it wasn't a repair but was happy enough to remove freon from my system without asking. Now my house temp is still at 79 degrees when it's set at 72, even after replacing the air filters with new ones. They suggest to replace two things that would cost about $500 as a package but then their technician suggest my unit would only run until summer and would have to replace the whole unit during the winter. I regret working with this company and giving them my business. They have a guy named Kenny who wants to push me to buy a new AC unit quoting at $7k-$15k for a small house. What???? The second time they told me it was likely a power surge and they installed a surge protector at a cost of $300. the third time they told me it was a Freon leak and they "repaired " the leak costing me $400 for Freon. last week it shut down again and they told me it was a damaged compressor which would take 5-7 days to get a replacement under warranty but I would have to pay $1,900 for labor and Freon . I then had another company come out and have a look and they told me that it was not the compress but just a faulty pressure switch. They rerouted the wires and the unit had been functioning perfectly. The new company told me that had they replaced the compressor at $1,900 it was going to fail because the issue was the pressure switch. Anybody using Lexair out there I would recommend you get a second opinion on anything they tell you. I believe I was ripped off on the initial issues and nearly ripped off on the compressor. read more

Typical HVAC company. Only looking for the big install. Did a full system with them a month or so ago and was informed that I needed some airflow return mods with a one of the salesmen named Dusty so they scheduled and confirmed a service appt and I took the day off. Complete no show with no call or communication. I'm sure they will retort with a "we were taking care of emergency needs" calls but not keeping the customer informed is just infantile business practice. Not a giant deal on my end but I only used this company because they were able to do the big install quickly and learned that the after the sale service is nonexistent. Do your research and shop the quote as they are much more expensive than most of the reputable companies in the area. read more

We have used Lex Air for years (had a new unit installed at our old home along with maintenance calls and an expensive repair at our current home). For whatever reason, whenever I try to schedule for issues we always are getting nickel and dimed for service fees. We tried scheduling time with them today and Saturdays are considered extended hours with a $120 fee which is not waived if you do the work through the company. Considering we have done at least $12K in repair/replacements with them, you would think they would be willing to work with a continued customer on these overpriced fees. We called two other recommended companies who both had significantly lower fees than Lex Air to see us same day on the weekend. I'm shocked that Lex Air cares more about $40-$120 more in fees on the weekend than securing work through a repeat customer. We truly like the quality of work and the techs but I'm just tired of the ridiculous fees and run around when we call to schedule. read more

Greetings from my home where it is now 92 degrees indoors. Worst decision I ever made was to use this Trane recommended dealer. They started out great, but took forever to get my first unit installed. I did love the unit though once it was installed, so hired them to replace the second unit in my home a year or so later. Also took forever to finish installing it, but finally was able to use and everything was great until the unit stopped working after seven months. Was under warranty so called Lex back and they sent a guy out on a Saturday which was great, but neglected to tell me that if it wasn't a warranty issue they would charge me an obscene amount for an after hours call. Of course it wasn't covered - said there was "gunk" in the condensation line that was my problem, and when he pulled some of it out it looked like brown paper which he said it absolutely wasn't, and refused to listen to me saying "there was no way that paper could get in there." I spoke with Rebecca their customer service person, and she said she would look at the photos and call me back the beginning of the week, so I felt like someone was listening to me, but never got a call back. I couldn't get him out of my house fast enough, and sure enough I started having the same problem about three weeks later. I finally got the nerve to call them again because I knew it would be a fight, and when I called again today Rebecca said she would call me right back, and again she didn't. I called back an hour later and she said "because of past issues" they were not going to honor their warranty and wouldn't be coming back out. I'm now looking at an over $10,000 mistake, and that's just on the one unit. I'm posting photos of what came out of the line in my air conditioner - see if you think it looks like paper or "gunk." I've never known that gunk could be the same thickness throughout, but paper sure is. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! BEWARE! AVOID this company at all costs! If I could give this company NO STAR, I would. In the summer of 2017, I purchased a heating/AC maintenance plan ($160), which allows for one heating maintenance checkup and one AC maintenance checkup a year. They came to service me in the summer for my AC checkup. However, NEVER came for the fall for my heating checkup. When I called, I spoke with Rebecca Selbach. She was very rude and condescending. She informed me apparently it is up to the customer to call and schedule for second service. They do NOT give you a courtesy call, reminding you of services you have already prepaid for, nor to schedule you for your second service. So in Feb 2019, I remembered they never fulfilled the heating maintenance checkup. I called and scheduled. A technician came out, was in my attic (where my AC/heating unit is located) for close to 1 hour and then came down and said "everything looks good. No recommendations. I just need you to sign this because you owe nothing. You've already paid." I signed his phone and asked for a receipt and detailed list of what was done today. He said it would be emailed to me. The next day I had still received nothing. I called the office and spoke with Rebecca, who said the company did not have my email on file and that's why nothing had been sent yet. She would send me the invoice, then call me back. So if I would not have called, nothing would have been sent to me. Rebecca called me back. I looked over the invoice and noticed in the description, under completion notes it states: checked filter no issues found. I asked why wasn't my air filter changed. She said "we do not change the air filter, unless the customer asks us to. But the tech checked your air filter and documented that no issues were found." To which I responded "the last time my air filter was replaced was when you serviced my home in 2017. So I highly doubt, it did NOT need to be changed, which makes me believe the tech lied and did not check it. This further makes me doubt if he did anything that he said he did while at my home." She argued with me and said "well it is your word against his." She also scolded me and said "as a homeowner you are supposed to change your air filter yourself and it depends on the cleanliness and allergens in your home on how often you should change your air filter." I told her "I understand as a homeowner I am supposed to change my air filter myself. However if I am paying you to service my heating and AC, when you come out and check my air filter and see that it needs to be replaced, you need to change it at the date of service or verbally recommend to me that it needs to be changed because it is dirty. However your company failed to do EITHER of these. You came to my house. Said everything looks good, no recommendations. You lied and documented there were no issues were found with my filter. I need to speak to a manager because if you are telling me an air filter has no issues and does not need to be changed when I am telling you the last time it was changed was in 2017, then I need to speak to someone else." She told me no managers where in the office at the time but someone would call me back. I did not receive a call that day at all. The next day someone did call me. I was unavailable and they left a message. I checked my air filter for myself. Guess what? It was so dirty, I had to rip it out. This company NEVER checked it and they probably did not do ANY of the other services that they documented that they did. If you argue with your customers, scold them and tell them what they should be doing as homeowners and have no integrity with your work, you should NOT be in business. I know as a homeowner, air filters should be changed ever 3-6 months. However sometimes things get busy, which is why I purchased a heating/AC maintenance plan. But to be treated with such disdain is horrible! What would resolve my issue? A full refund of $160. Buyer beware! Instead of fixing our unit, they told us if needed replacing. Then on top of that, he told me I needed a $15000 unit for a home less than 4500 sq ft which was a lie. That unit was more for a commercial building not a residential home. read more
