Best price, great service... Called around to three Trane vendors, Lex Air was the least expensive. Unit was installed within the week. Install team was fast, professional and courteous. They went above and beyond. Follow up and supervision were great. Anthony came through! I'd certainly recommend them! Only complaint is that the installers released the refrigerant from my old unit into the atmosphere... thought they were supposed to capture any remaining refrigerant for environmental reasons. read more

I had an issue with the downstairs unit blowing hot air and refrigerant couldn't be tested as the lock key was no longer in production. As the original installer of the HVAC system, I called Lex Air asking if they had the key to remove the locks and was told they did. The technician arrived and asked if I also wanted the refrigerant tested and I agreed. He mentioned he removed the locks with a screwdriver and magnet - not the unlocking key they stated they had, and wanted an $89 visit charge to perform. The technician also stated I needed 3# of refrigerant downstairs and 1# upstairs (which did not have a problem with). At 105 outside I agreed to ahead with the refrigerant. About 30 minutes later, the upstairs air seemed warm, but thought it was because the unit was about to turn off. Because it wasn't cooling, the upstairs stayed on almost all night, which was unusual. The next day I called another company I've previously used to assess what was going on. He found the valves to have no caps, leaving them susceptible to dirt/debris getting into the refrigerant line and the upstairs unit had seized up as it had been over charged. At this point I lost all faith in Lex Air and agreed for him to cool down the unit and adjust the charge (removal of over a # of refrigerant). Lex Air called the next day to ask how my service was and I provided details and was told they would speak with management and I would receive a call back but I have never heard back after several additional calls made. read more

These guys are great! I was previously under a maintenance contract with a different AC company (A number _ air). Recently on their last service visit, I realized it was time to change it up. Their tech was pushing me to buy another unit simply because my unit is 11 years old. It still runs like a champ but the tech from the other company insisted it was going bad and I needed to replace ASAP. Long story short, the tech from the other company provided me with misleading information and I could no longer trust any of their techs. Lexair sent me a tech named Randy to perform my spring tune up and he was great! He tested my inside/outside units and he said they were running fine. He determined that according to the current measurements and tests of the units, there was really no reason to consider purchasing a replacement at this time. Sure my units are from 2001 but they're well maintained and I needed a professional tech to confirm this. This is exactly what I received from Lexair. Many thanks to Randy and Lexair!! It's incredibly disappointing that this company would advise a customer of a window between 3 and 5 when the tech doesn't show up until 5:20pm. Leaving my office at 2:30pm, I wasted my time being here waiting for a tech who showed up after the window given to me. On top of the fact I scheduled a week in advance for this appointment and called at 4pm to make sure I was on the schedule. This is very poor and unacceptable customer service on this company's part. My time is as precious as theirs and their tech's. Please be aware of their poor customer service for potential customers aware of their lack of care or concern for customers as well as their lack of courtesy. I was having issues without HVAC and knew the time to replace was coming. We barely missed summer and got by during the winter with space heaters and high electric bills. With spring coming, we start the process of getting bids and attempt to bite the bullet. I received 7 quotes from reputable places. The big box boys: Home depot, Lowes, Sears and then some highly rated (BBB/Yelp/Angie's List) places. I ultimately went with Lex based on previous recommendations and was highly impressed during the estimate appointment. ONLY LEX went into the attic to look at the duct work. None of the other sales associates did. They were only concerned with the sale of the equipment. I felt confident in Lex after that. Corey, did a load calculation to properly size the ducts and gave three different quotes with different models of Trane units. I went with the more efficient model avail and the install took two days. They replaced all the vents, ducts and boots. All new lines from the compressor to the air handler. They install a surge protector. ALL NEW. Since the system is really advance and 'communicates' - I couldn't use my NEST any longer. The new t-stat does have a 7 inch color screen, is wifi and has essentially the same functions and even pictures. Its pretty coo and simple to use. We even had the 'clean effects' air purifier installed which has helped with allergies and dust. They will come back out in spring and check that everything is OK. All in all, I am very pleased and would use them again. Check out the pics I posted. They did some serious work with what we were wanting but they were also the most expensive out of all the bids and didn't budge on price. read more

So as it started to get cooler in Dallas we turn on the heat in the house and noticed that it wasn't working properly because it was still cold...upon a quick Google search we found Lex air conditioning services and gave them a shot, unfortunately Our heating never got fixed they recommend everyone to change their furnace. Anthony even said that our pipes were too "narrow". They charged me close to $700 to replace the combustion motor and high limit switch. I called another guy today and he quickly fixed what was wrong without recommending me to change my furnace. Beware these people just want your money. Go to someone else. I would give them no star if i could. They're frauds. Not to mention when Anthony asked if I had a ladder I showed him where it was in the garage and he didn't even bother putting it back. Poor ettiquettes. I am convinced that they gave themselves a high rating. read more

I did not ask u to do it for free. You insisted that the repair you did in my house is not garrenteed even though it was just within 30 days. I disputed the credit card charge because u did not even do the repair u claimed because the other company found out the pipe was completely clogged with stone! What you did was simply blowing some air through the pipe and walked away with money in the pocket, did not even care if it worked or not. Then you claimed that the customer was cheep and wanted free service. Honesty is real important in your business. I am not trying to ruin your business. Hopefully you really learned the lesson and treat your future customer well. read more

I didn't end up using their service, but Anthony was very helpful in answering questions about HVAC systems and what to expect with their service. Timing was the issue, I decided to go with another provider. I needed someone to replace a condenser unit on Saturday afternoon and they were booked until Monday, understandable. For what its worth, they seem to be straight forward people and care about the long term business and customer satisfaction. Knowing they weren't going to generate any revenue and still having the patience to work with the customer shows class. I will keep them on my speed-dial for any issues that may arise in the future. read more

Our AC went out on a Wednesday afternoon. I called Lex Air at about 4:30, and Anthony arrived around 30 minutes later. He looked at our system and gave us some options. We decided to go with a full system replacement. What made it a little more difficult is that a new unit wouldn't fit where our current one was. (Thanks to the builders from the 80's putting the AC on a small patch of grass between the house and driveway.) He then scheduled an electrician to move everything to the other side of the house as well. On installation day, his crew was fantastic. Arriving EARLY, (after they called to make sure it was okay to do so), putting down plastic in the house, very friendly, and hard working. When they finished, Anthony arrived about 30 minutes later to inspect their work and made sure that I had a handle on the new digital thermostat (that links to an app on my iphone, how cool!). One thing that I really liked was the fact that all communication that I had with the company after the first dispatch call was with Anthony(a Co-Owner). I had to talk to 3 other people at another big company in town just to tell them we weren't going with them! Overall I was very impressed with the service I received, and I know that they will take care of our needs in the future! Highly Recommend! read more

I don't know anyone who looks forward to replacing a complete HVAC system. Well, our system went out and the only thing we had on our side was decent weather. We had some time to shop around to see who could offer us a decent price and work within our time frame. Lex Air was our last of three quotes to come out. Anthony came out and looked everything over and presented us a detailed and professional proposal. It wasn't the cheapest price, but it was the most thorough. Also, when clarification was requested and when we had questions - Anthony was extremely responsive and answered everything to our satisfaction. Next was the installation. We were expecting a long process since the complete system new system needed to be installed and the old one needed to be removed. Lex Air sent us Oscar and Margarito. Both guys worked so hard all day - ALL DAY...from a little after 8 a.m. to almost 8 p.m. barely making time to take a lunch. When they left, there were small issues that we needed worked out and we were told that a tech would be sent out the next day. Due to some communication issues, the tech didn't show up the next day, but ended up showing up a couple of days later. That's when we met John - the tech. John did the final check and made small fixes that we requested. He answered all our questions and stayed until everything was fixed and complete. All and all our experience was fantastic with Lex Air from start to finish. The service we received far exceeded our expectations...not to mention the quality of the Trane system itself! Anthony helped us install a new heater & air conditioner in our home in Carrollton, TX . They did a phenomenal job from begining to end. He came out for a consulation first and educated us on all the options, he was very knowledgeable about everything. They were verry straight forward with solutions to our needs and also staying with in our requested budget. The very next day they came and finished an entire new system and added vents to additional rooms. There were no surprises and everything is working great. I give this company One star because they installed the HVAC A/C and Heater same day. In June 2012 the A/C went out and they came the same day ($6800), very hot day. their follow through and registration of TRANE units could COST you $$$$$!!! However, after the install, we have continued to have issues and the customerservice is not satisfactory- 1) 2013 - a retrofit air filter part took 2 months of us calling and requesting to be concluded, 2) 10/2014 another entity found that there was an overflow switch that had not been installed, Anthony was not happy and stated on the phone that he didn't believe there were any issues, after he came to inspect the unit, he didn't want to admit that something hadn't been done, He installed the item and was not very pleasant and didn't offer any paperwork about the 'post install". 3) Later that day a person from Lexair came and had to clean the roller from the overflow and issues that were found by another company they had to clean the whole blower assembly, and then charged me $250, they wrote a ticket that said they have checked both the heater and A/C system. 4) Now in 7/2015 - system is ONLY 3 years old, had maintenance on A/C had to add 5 gal low of puron to the condenser, called the company they had NOT registered the system, and the servicing company advised I check on warranty. I paid the maintenance organization $345), called Trane. Was advised by maintenance entity that there could be a slow leak in condenser. I called Lexair - Sarah couldn't provide any information - serial numbers for condenser or when registered. Called Trane they state that it hasn't been registered. The difference between a 5 or 10 year warranty on parts so I only have a 5 year now. Dealer did suggest or tell me to register and didn't offer any instruction to do so. Appears other customers on Lexair they have registered their units. As of today 7/10/15.. I now spent an additional $700+. I would like for Lexair to come out and 'check' the unit and advise if there is a leak, since I already paid $250 last October when they serviced the HVAC unit. I would be very cautious with Lexair and make sure they WRITE everything down, especially paperwork and dates! read more

He told me how to do a quick fix until he could get there, since the AC was running every now and then as hot as it is. Once he got here, he was professional and looked at the unit. Took care of the overflow problem and then ensured that all levels of AC and Heat were working while he was here. So we are good to go! read more

Lex Air replaced my entire HVAC system - indoor blower, outdoor unit and thermostat and did a great job at a good price. They work with Trane systems, which are very highly rated. I appreciate that they were willing to work within my budget - they didn't press me into buying more than I could afford or more than I needed. We made a decision to go with Lex Air and they were able to be there the next day and spent most of the day replacing the system. Anthony showed us how to program and use our cool new thermostat. I was very pleased with the quality of the work and the speed in which it was completed. Our new system is great and we're looking forward to having a cool summer with lower electric bills. We just bought a home and our AC went out. In April and we got quotes from multiple local businesses Lex Air had the best prices, and were the most patient with us being new home owners. Kenny helped us and explained all our options and didn't pressure us in anyways to get more than we NEEDED. The installation crew was awesome and answered all of our questions and Kenny even came by on installation day to make sure things were going smoothly. I used Lex AC based mostly on comments found here. My upstairs unit went out and the Tech found and replaced a bad capacitor. While here, he told me my coils were clogged (they had sucked up grass clippings from the yard) and would need a special "chemical cleaning". He advised my warranties would be in jeopardy if I didn't agree to the service. Cost for this service, $150--per unit. The tech literally sprayed something out of a garden pump sprayer, then hosed it off. That's it. No tear down, no scrubbing, nothing. That'll be $300 please. I called Lex AC and got Anthony on the phone (one of the owners). I advised him I thought $300 was excessive considering how little labor was involved (search "clean HVAC coils"). The Tech was already here (service call charge of $80) and the units were right next to each other. He agreed the Tech should have "given me a break" on the price, but the service was necessary. I rated them low based on their excessive pricing and quoting "warranty issues" to obtain permission to do the work. read more

On a hot Sunday afternoon, Anthony made a service call to help my dead compressor. Turns out my Goodman AC let me down for good. So did the Goodman factory customer service. You get what you pay for. Anthony promised an email quote by Sunday night and followed through. I opted for a new Trane system. The Trane pieces are nicely integrated and exude quality. Ryan and Oscar completed a professional installation with quality to match the hardware. John did a follow-up inspection/tune/education a few days later and all was good. I am so glad you mentioned the BBB report, the fine Yelp readers can read about how un professional, rude, and defensive you really are. You needn't worry about my name, this is a true genuine, horrible, review of a horrible experience. I bet it is not that you have so few complaints, I bet you have so few customers. The "scratch" was way more than a scratch, let's call it a huge dent with many scratches, and you lied about repairing it. The only way I was able to get you to repair it was to hold your payment hostage. Let's just pretend it was a scratch as you claim, who cares? You did it and you should have fixed it. You should be embarrassed of yourself but I am sure you are not. I could go on and on about the bad experience. Let me be a bit clearer of the lie with the "scratch" - this is only one of the horrible experiences. As soon as I saw the damage I alerted Anthony - the system was not even hooked up yet so I could have, should have refused it all and wished you all well, but Anthony assured, assured me he could get the part in and replace it. Well a month went by, I called and emailed, and nothing, NO correspondence at all from you, so I disputed the credit card charge. It took 6 months, 6 months for you to realize I was not going to let this go. I was not going to pay 9k and look out my window at a huge dent and scratches. So Anthony of course lied, he said to me - well I ordered it but when you disputed the charge, I cancelled the order! What? That does not even make sense. If you "ordered" it and I was disputing ordering it why would you not say " Hey the part is ordered its in - yay" and we all move on with our lives. NO he lied, and finally after 6 months I got the part replaced. That fellow yelpers is what happened. And again, this was only one of many issues with Anthony and Cory and Lex AC. You keep mentioning that the "scratch" did not affect functioning - I say again who cares? I bet everyone reading has fixed a door ding on their cars in spite of that door ding NOT affecting the functioning of the car. I bought a car a few years ago, there was a door ding on the car but the salesman said the dealership would repair it. Guess what? a week later I brought the car in, in 2 hours you could never tell there was a door ding. Amazing, and this was a car dealership. So car salesmen are now more trustworthy than you. And besides, how would YOU know that the "scratch" did not affect functioning? Neither you nor Anthony ever came back to inspect anything - do YOU know how the "scratch" got there? Because I was never told. Was the unit dropped? However it got there, could cause a problem in the future. Guess I will find out. *** Update to the BBB, I just read Lex's final response on the BBB, trust me, it is a bad piece of fiction. The last sentence - reduced price? complete fiction. They offered NO reduced price. Please, I am paying for the unit all full price, they got their funding, finally after 7 months because they were forced to make the repair. Oh and I find it amusing how Anthony and Cory bragged on BBB about how the Credit card company saw their way and went in their favor The dispute was still active and open, but I did receive notice that the credit card company went in my favor. I knew I would be paying for the unit, but I did get a laugh out of that. *** What I am not laughing about is how I had to do all of this in the first place. Just a recap of what the OWNER of Lex is telling you - "we may mess up, but we expect you, the customer to accept and deal with it yourself. We will not hold ourselves accountable for anything, but we will work hard to defend ourselves and make our problem look like your problem. And if you just do not get in line you will have to fight us." I recap that by saying I found another reputable AC company, and you can too. There are so many reputable choices. read more

Let me just start by saying that my husband and I are extremely jaded when it comes to the construction industry. After living through 16 weeks of renovation on our home, and being told that our current AC unit would support the space, we were devastated to find out a week later that we in fact needed a brand new HVAC system. We are coming up on multiple days of 100+ degree temperatures and we had no choice but to move forward with the unit replacement. On Monday my husband spent hours calling installers and having them come out to provide quotes and they were all astronomically priced and they spent no more than 10 minutes at the house. Toward the end of the day he spoke to Anthony at Lex Air and he said that they could send someone out to look at the space right away. After speaking with Anthony and visiting with Kenny (who spent a good 30 minutes inspecting all aspects of the project), we felt very confident that they were the right guys to go with. They were honest, used TRANE products (Made in Texas) and had been very fair in their pricing and financing options. We confirmed with Kenny that same night and by 10:00 am the next morning Juan and Daniel were at the house installing our new system. These two guys were fantastic - they answered all of my questions, suffered through the insane heat and were finished with the whole project by 5:30. From start to finish Lex Air fixed our problem and cooled our house in less than 24 hours. After over a year of terrible experiences, we are so thankful that we found an honest company. On 12.3.2018 I hired Lex Air to replace my 25 year old 3 zone system. I purchased a completely new Trane XV20 system with 3 zones (two 4 ton, one 5 ton) for $41k (plus $3k rebate, net $38k). I found Lex Air to professional, knowledgeable, responsive and reasonably priced. I landed on the Trane system and Lex Air after much research and I'm extremely satisfied with both the dealer and the product. Kenny was very helpful in selecting the right system for my home. Scheduling the install was prompt and easy. Lex Air processed all paperwork for my permits and inspections and for the applicable rebate from Trane ($3k gift card). They staged the install over 3 days (1 zone/day) so I never lost heat and their installers were clean and produced a great work product. I'm a stickler for tidy wiring and pipe routing etc and they did not disappoint. They programmed my new system into my house wifi and setup my phone app so I can control the system remotely and also gave us a tutorial on its its operation. Their manager, Kenny, who sold me the system was on site daily to check on the work and ensure our satisfaction. I will use Lex Air for all my HVAC needs in the future such as annual maintenance or would recommend them to others. read more
