Once again, Collin AC to the rescue! Last time, it was at our house in Fairview. This time, it was at our business location in Plano. Last Saturday afternoon, our dance school's AC unit one of our rooms stopped working - DURING CLASS - with a room full of students. People started to sweat - including me. Within 30 minutes of calling Collin AC (again, this is Saturday - the weekend), Brian was at our dance school. Brian quickly diagnosed the problem: The emergency drip-pan under the air handler had reached its capacity with water because its drain pipe was clogged up. (The air handler is located above the drop-ceiling panels, out of sight.) This triggered the emergency shut-off switch on the air handler so the drip-pan full of water would not overflow. Brian took his vacuum and sucked up all the water from the drip-pan. He also unclogged the drip-pan drain full of dust/dirt sediment. 15 MINUTES (!!!) after arriving, Brian FIXED THE PROBLEM and we were BACK IN BUSINESS in our air-conditioned dance school full of students. I always look at the 1-star reviews before calling any highly rated contracting company, because I base my initial opinion on how ridiculous those reviews are. Suffice it to say, Collin Air Conditioning deserves a full 5/5 for service, transparency, service and availability. Our Carrier Ac Thermostat went out on us and, late in the day of the hottest day of the year, I was up the creek without a paddle, looking for hotels for our family of 4. That's when I called Collin Air. Collin answered, asked some diagnostic questions over the phone then told me to come in to pick up a temporary tester thermostat just to get our ac back up and running overnight. By noon the next day, they fit me in and set me up with a new thermostat. They've earned my business and if you're like me and go to the negative reviews first, let me save you some time. They're not warranted and Collin, Andy, Taylor and Collin Air deserve a shot at earning your business. read more

I have used Collin Air Conditioning several times in the past months. The first visit was a minor fix that was performed quickly and for a very reasonable price. The second involved replacing a part on my A/C unit. The third visit was the replacement of my entire system. Every job was well done. The repairmen were courteous and fair. They recommended only what was needed and offered options to help me save money. The work was done quickly, and they cleaned up afterward. I have been very pleased with my dealings with Collin Air Conditioning. They have never over-charged or done unnecessary work. In fact, they have consistently offered the most affordable solutions. I consider myself a regular customer of Collin Air Conditioning now and would not think of calling another service when I need an inspection and/or repair. read more

First, I was not incented (or even requested) to write this review. Called Collin Air at 4pm on a Friday as a hail mary - I'm a DIY guy but couldn't figure this out. They showed up IN 30 MINUTES. In 15 minutes had figured out the problem, within an hour, finished. VERY reasonable cost for the service and 2 techs running new low voltage line from outside unit to inside in attic. The whole time they were masked up (properly, nose and mouth), very conscious of social distance. They were polite, informative, and changed the inside filter and outside rinsed the coils just because they were here. I've avoided 'big' companies in the past, but these guys were absolutely great. read more

Collin's team goes above and beyond to provide excellent service. They have been servicing our unit for years and it's great to see they know you by name when you call again. Service is very quick and very professional. Followed up few days later (due to weather) to come by and check rest of the system and to clean the compressor. Value for product and service is fantastic, and they are VERY good at making strategic recommendation (what's needed now and what is recommended in the future). We have used Collin Air Conditioning for several years now. We previously used another company that advertises a lot more, but they always found random things that needed to be done for an up charge, and we were pretty badly overcharged for a replacement unit. Since that time, we have used Collin for service and maintenance. They addressed issues with the prior install. The techs are all very knowledgeable and professional. We recently had our air ducts cleaned and insulation installed. It's nice having an AC company that will give you an honest assessment of any issues, and offer reasonable pricing. read more

The Brandon repairman even took the time to explain why Collin Air misdiagnosed the problem. It's been 4 weeks and no further issues with the A/C unit.
