Burnt ends, baked beans, Mac and cheese

This is the best bbq ever! I got burnt ends, Mac and cheese and baked beans. This was the best bbq I have ever had! So much flavor in every bite!!! Lew was super friendly and very welcoming!! This will now be my go to bbq while I am in Everett area!! Oh and the sweet tea.... Listen....Just try it, I promise you won't regret it!! Amazing food, service and atmosphere!!

Hands down THE WORST Bbq I've ever tasted. It's soo bad that I just threw it in the trash. The coleslaw was brown and tasted weird, the potato salad tasted like it had gone bad 2 weeks ago and the meats.... Well they are just straight INEDIBLE! Don't waste your money!

The food and service is outstanding here! No where else can you find authentic southern style BBQ. The brisket and greens are amazing. Highly recommend

I'm gonna pull this bus over to humbly provide some needed clarity and perspective. I've been driving by this little house-turned-restaurant for a few years now. Constantly saying to myself "gotta try that place sometime". Finally the day came where I was finishing a work day across the street, had hardly eaten anything all day, and was craving good barbecue meat due to the smoky goodness wafting in the air. In anticipation I was asking for folks' experience with Lew's BBQ and one of the common responses I got was "it's really good but pricey" and this is where I must stop and shed some much needed light on the matter in defense of Lew and his soulful culinary works; 1. Meat is costly. To turn a profit in a restaurant based primarily on meat you've got to reasonably upcharge just to cover your overhead. 2. Lew is passionately cooking, curing, smoking, mixing, and hand preparing every ingredient day and night. You can taste his hard work. That's worth something I'm willing to pay for. 3. Stop allowing corrupt communists to seize power and tax the hell out of us for their own personal gain and forcing businesses to raise prices just to stay open. We The People always end up suffering by neglecting our duty to defend our homeland. (My words not Lew's so don't go freaking out and canceling him.) My first meal more than justified the cost. Lew was personable and welcoming. His story is an inspiration to every American citizen. His restaurant has a personality that doesn't exist in any other building around the world. I came back the next day for lunch after telling several people in my personal circle how damn good it was. My impression of Lew is that's he's a humbled man who's enjoying this chapter of his life. If you've got feedback then give it to him. He seems like the kind of man who would welcome a good dialogue with a customer. I'm happy and proud to support this local business for many reasons chief among them being that I thoroughly enjoy the food. Thank you Lew for hearing God's call on your life and giving us in your community the opportunity to invest in your mastered craft.

Total rip off. Ordered a 60 dollar sampler platter and this is what you get. Fork for scale. For 60 bucks I'd have been happy with at least twice this much. Since there wasn't a picture on Uber Eats or a description of what this is, I went off of the prices of the individual meals and figured this would be enough food for a few people... it's not. If the pricing wasn't bad enough, it tastes terrible. Save your money, order from Dickies, you'll get more and it'll taste better. Will not be ordering from here again.

Heritage African Restaurant - Fried sweet plantains

Heritage African Restaurant

The Heritage African Restaurant, featuring West African foods, is large and roomy with a colorful…read moreexterior and a bit dark on the inside. When we went on a weekend, it was very quiet, too quiet, with moderate business and perhaps five tables occupied. This is our fourth West African restaurant in this area; all but one are a bit rough around the edges. The male server spoke only to my husband, despite me initiating the conversation and placing the order. Hello, the 21st century is calling! The food takes a while to be ready; they all do for some reason. This time we waited half an hour with a near empty restaurant. If you are hungry, order an appetizer. Generally speaking, the food is good, and the portions are generous. The Food: Dibi Afra or Grilled Lamb, $26.99 - 4.5 Stars Menu: Popular SeneGambian street food. Meat marinated in authentic heritage seasonings and char-grilled served with onions, spicy mustard, and salad. There is something comforting about a giant pile of chopped lamb, fantastically seasoned, served with onions and an excellent salad. I packed 2/3 of the lamb and onions to take home. Grilled Golden Pompano, $25.99 - 5 Stars Menu: Whole Golden Pompano either grilled or fried marinated with heritage seasonings The fish is perfectly grilled. The fried plantain, a pleasant surprise as it was not mentioned on the menu, was wonderfully fried. Both salads are superb too. Beef Fataya or Meat Pie, $9.99 - 3 Stars Menu: Savory Empanadas (3) with choice chicken, beef, seafood or vegetarian We order meat pies from all four West African restaurants we visited. This is the first time where the beef tasted wasn't seasoned or flavorful enough to eat by itself without sauce. Rather disappointed. Jollof Rice side, $9.99 - 4 Stars Ever since the first West African restaurant we visited told us jollof rice recipe is every family and every restaurant's secret, I have made it my mission to order it at every restaurant. I took a close-up photo to show the seasonings in the rice. Theirs is very good, and I'm glad they offer it as a side.

Our initial server was nice but we were passed off to someone else. She came by once when our waters were around 3/4 full and asked if we wanted a refill. We both passed on the refill at that time, then never came back until asking if we needed boxes. I normally wouldn't be annoyed too much by this, but I think one other booth had one person seating in the whole restaurant and I think one person stopped in to pick up food. We sat and waited for her to bring the bill, but instead she later came by to pick up our plates. She then directed us that you pay at the front(which would have been good to know for the 10 minutes we just sat there). Food was great. I had the fish(Golden Pompano) along with the vegetables which were sited onions and veggies that gave it a little spice. The food here is great and my sister and I are considering a second time since there were many things that sounded good on the menu. But the service really crippled this place. Staff was mildly friendly and damn near absent.

I can say we were all pretty disappointed in this place. The staff was the only positive that we took away from this experience. Both servers that we encountered were both kind and attentive. The drinks and food however totally missed the marks. We all started off with drinks 2 margaritas, a gin gimlet and a beer between the four of us. The margaritas were terrible, like I am not sure how they put them as a feature drink. They had zero jalapeños and also offered no spicy margarita whatsoever. My wife's gin gimlet tasted like straight up lime juice. All were complete misses. Next we moved on to the food where each couple ordered a dozen wings. The X's and O's( fries and onion rings) and we also ordered a wedge salad. The wedge salad came out and idk how it was marketed as wedge when it was a bowl of salad completely engulfed in dressing(closer to soup than salad). Next the fries and onion rings came out and I'm not usually a stickler for what things cost, but $17 for like 6 onion rings and a very sad plate of fries. We expected a bit more for what we ordered for the table. Lastly the wings. While the flavoring of the wings were good, they came out not too warm to the touch and biting into them they were cold on the inside. Concerned that we may get sick from uncooked meat they assured us that they were precooked and just dropped into the fryer to finish them off. To me it is concerning that though they were precooked and still missed on hearing them all way, you may need to have a chat with your kitchen. Both of the servers were on top of it and ran both dozens back to have our order recooked. Second time around they were hot and crispy with good flavor(although the garlic boom boom wings were missing one of the sauces the second time around). It didn't matter, we ate them and paid. Not sure we will put this on our revisit list. Maybe the burgers or flatbread were the way to go, but out of 3 menu items and even the drinks.... There needs to be much more effort to everything here...

They charge an extra $2.50 just for dipping sauce, which feels excessive. Even water isn't complimentary--you have to buy a bottled water for $3.50. On top of that, the restaurant itself is small with limited, uncomfortable seating. There's also no wait staff, so if you need anything, you have to get up and take care of it yourself. If you're heading there before an Everett Silvertips game with friends, you'll be lucky to find seating--it only has about 25 seats total. Overall, decent food, but between the high prices, limited space, and lack of basic service, it didn't feel like a great value.

The burger was decently. It wasn't anything I'd go out of my way for but it was solid choice. It was crispy and seasoned pretty well. The tater tots were exceptionally tasty. Fried to perfection without being greasy. And the seasoning was chef kiss. My chicken wings were slathered in garlic Parmesan sauce. And that sauce was actually tasty. But my wings were so rubbery and it lacking any crispy texture. It was like they were boiled, flash fried for color and then bathed in the sauce to finish cooking. I just wish the chicken was cooked better. It would have been a much better experience. The pretzel and cheese is a big no. Nothing tasty about the pretzel bites as at all and the cheese sauce was not great either. Service was great. They were really friendly.

The location is excellent for a spot to walk outside while waiting or after eating. The food here on the other hand was not great. I think the fusion flavors did not meet my pallet one bit. I was lost in all the sauce and wonder of what was trying to be accomplished. The sauce for my spicy wontons tasted like its been sitting in cornstarch and flavor for a bit, and the clams I had was a confusing flavor. The walnut shrimp wraps were just okay and pork shumai was the only decent thing I had there. I would not come here for food again, but they have their location and setting on point. The service was just okay. Our waiter was nice, but I felt as if they were rushing us. We were there for about an hr and I felt a little bit rushed. They close at 11pm and at the time it was 9:45. Would i come again? Probably not, I love the location but there are so many other places nearby to try in the future. I would love this place to suit my pallet, it just does not. 3 stars are just for the atmosphere alone.
