Tonight was my first time going to Lewis and Main, not only was the food and the service 100% perfect, when I chatted with Brian about my reservation I told him I was coming with my wife for our anniversary and asked him if he worked with any florists in the area? Exactly what Monroe needs. I went into Lewis and Main for the first time last night. From the moment we walked through the door to the moment we left we received exceptional service. Even better than the service was the food! We started out by sharing some plates. We got the calamari, corn fritters with romesco, the mussels and sausage and the cornbread. All of them blew us away. After the starters we moved onto mains. I can't recommend their steaks enough. Quality meat cooked to perfection. Fish prepared perfectly. And one of the members of our group got the lobster Mac! We finished with the Creme Brûlée and New York Style Cheesecake. Oh and they have a great wine list! Everything that touched our table exceeded our expectations. We've driven by Lewis and Main several time and finally decided to make reservations for dinner. I'm so glad we did, I had the Wagyu New York and it was one of the best steaks I've ever had, it was right up there with streaks I've had at The Metropolitan Grill, Ruth's Chris and El Gaucho. A great place for a date night with really good food, and a great bar with experienced wait and bar staff!

I have had two separate experiences with Lewis & Main and both were fairly different. None of it was bad but perhaps slightly disappointing with my second visit. I'll start at the beginning . When Steve and I were visiting Monroe a while back we went to a brewery that we really enjoyed . They had a guest tap for a brewery called Lewis & Main. At the time Lewis & Main didn't open their physical location downtown yet and so we took the opportunity to try this guest tap since it wasn't a brewery we have tried before. It was a Vienna Ale and we were both pretty impressed with it. Well I'm glad we did try that beer at that time because I was excited to go to the physical location now that it opened and try more of their beer. But alas when I got seated and examined their beer menu it was all guest taps. I asked about this and apparently they weren't brewing their own beer right at this time. I am not sure why. I purchased a beer anyway. Atmosphere here is really cool and has an alluring look to it. Staff was very friendly and utilized the knowledge they did know in an effective manner to my questions which I definitely appreciated. read more

The ambiance is really nice for a romantic dinner considering this is a rural community. I had the lobster Mac N Cheese which was super salty. I order this dish anywhere I can get it! But this was so salty I could only eat the pastry and pick out the lobster; I left the noodles and cheese sauce behind. My husband had the Wagyu and it did not disappoint. Seasoned well. Cooked to a perfect medium rare. The waiter, while short staffed, was friendly, genial, and helpful considering it was our first time in. Our drinks, which he helped recommend were amazing! Umm if you haven't been here yet get in the car and go! Wanted a wedge salad and they popped up on my search. They looked a little fancy and Prices seemed highish. We got the wedge salad, with bacon dressing and pickled onions..... it was amazing. We also ordered a half roasted baguette(we couldn't eat it all) I think I died and went to heaven it was so good. Now, this place feels like home to me. It's a guarantee that you'll be welcomed and fed with utmost care. Pork Chop: Perfection is a lofty goal, but I like to think they have achieved it with this pork chop. The chop itself was thick and juicy, while the green chickpeas, summer squash, and fingerling potatoes provided the perfect amount of crunch. The herb vinaigrette added a touch of elegance, tying the whole dish together. In short, it was Perfected. But don't take my word for it- try it for yourself and see! Mussels & Chorizo: Sweet, plump mussels in a sauce made with tomatoes, garlic, maybe some chilis and possibly wine in the company of some supple chorizo. It was not crunchy or tight to provide that overly salted flavor, but rather these mildly spiced babes melted in my mouth. Perfect for sharing with 2 or more. Calamari: If you're with more than two people, be prepared to order another round or refrain from eating it all by yourself. It's too good to pass up! Signature Cornbread: I'll admit it, I'm a sucker for a good piece cornbread in general. But oh man! Chef Josh Soult at Lewis and Main has definitely found the key to my heart with his delicious fried golden decadent fried cornbread. crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, it's just the right amount of sweet and savory. And the honey that comes with it? I could probably eat that by the spoonful. It's no wonder that this dish is one of the most popular items on the menu. So if you're looking for a way to seal the deal on a date, Lewis and Main's Fried Cornbread is definitely the way to go. If you are ordering the burger here you might be doing it wrong!?? read more

Best restaurant we've been to in years. The food is absolutely amazing with a rotating menu. Very high end and everything homemade. Bar tenders are experts and will make you anything you want or can think of. The experience atmosphere and service is A+ . Server and bar tender Ben and Blake are 100% worth it. My wife and I had the wagyu NY steaks, wedge salad, cornbread, and strawberry cheesecake. Steak was great with good flavored bark. Cornbread was authentic and really good. The wedge salad with bacon and blue cheese crumbles was excellent. And their take on the cheesecake was a refreshingly nice suprise. Brian, the owner, provided exceptional service and really went above and beyond my expectations of great service. He was happy to work.with me and my unique circumstances in regard.to the pandemic and being IC. I really appreciate the efforts and I highly recommend trying these folks out. Dear Brian and Chef Josh, Tonight's dinner at your restaurant Lewis & Main cannot go without praise. I asked our wonderful waiter to please pass on our compliments to the Chef, but I want to be sure you got them. We've enjoyed your restaurant since it opened, but it's obvious as you are getting more settled in, you are blossoming into what I can imagine your vision and dream was when you first thought of this place. Brian, you won me over when on my second visit at your restaurant when I had to come find the "manager" because of some service hiccups and kinks you were working out. You came and waited on our table yourself which told me what kind of employer you are and then you comped our table of six women. That told me what kind of restauranter you are. You cared more about your customers going away happy (which we already were) then you did of making a profit that night off of us. It was well worth it because not only have we continued to come, but we have recommended you to many people and friends. Fast forward to several more date nights, dinners and bringing our employees there for a holiday dinner and we arrived tonight with another couple for dinner. I had the warm spinach salad with duck confit and it was the most amazing, creative and delicious salad. It was warm, salty and sweet. The pickled onions offered the right amount of acidity and zing. Not to mention there was no skimping on the amount of duck that was on the salad. For my entrée, as soon as I heard your special was Beef Wellington, I knew what I was ordering! It's one of my favorites and it is almost impossible to find here in the Northwest. I once googled it to find a restaurant in Seattle who might offer it and I came up blank. I had to order it down in Vegas at Gordon Ramsay's restaurant. LOL! Your Beef Wellington did not disappoint. My husband, knowing he likes what I always ordered, deserted his filet and ordered it as well and was happy he did. It was such a treat to get to have Beef Wellington. The only disappointment was not taking a picture of it for the review I plan to leave. For dessert I tried the chocolate caramel cake which was a huge portion and very pretty and tasty. My favorite were the meringue cookies. Probably the best I've ever had. Not only the best texture, but the flavor was amazing. Our server was wonderful as well. Very friendly, attentive and smart. By far one of the best dining experiences I've had in the state of Washington! Reserving a table online was easy. We arrived about 15 minutes early and still only had to wait a few minutes before being seated. All the staff was very friendly and professional, especially our server, Will. We asked for recommendations and he did not disappoint. We had the wedge salad, 14 ounce Wagyu New York steak with mashed potatoes, carrots, and parsnips, and lemon meringue for dessert. Not really my jam. The food was way overpriced, being one of the most expensive meals I've ever had and fairly mediocre fair. The atmosphere was nice however and the servers were good, even volunteering to take an expensive beer off my order after noticing I didn't drink much of it. OMG what a great place to have dinner! The food is simply fantastic, plus they had my favorite cider available. Our group had 3 different appetizers and the mussels and Brussel sprouts were a standout. I'm also in love with their short ribs and creme brulee, everyone else was also super happy with their food. My husband and I made reservations for dinner at Lewis & Main to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We were seated right away when we arrived. The inside has unique wall features and decor. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, but also allowed us enough time to enjoy conversation and our meals. We started with the calamari and the garlic parmesan baguette. Both were delicious! If you decide to visit Lewis & Main: TRY THE GARLIC PARMESAN BAGUETTE! Portions were large for two people, but perfect for 4. I chose the 8 oz. Filet with garlic butter. It was perfect! It came with mashed potatoes and carrots, which were also delicious. I would highly recommend this and would order again (and again). Husband had the short rib mac. My husband enjoyed his dish. The only critique he had was it had very little short rib in it. Something to consider prior to ordering that dish. He said he would probably would try a different dish next time. If you're wanting great food at a reasonable price, look no further! I called earlier in the day to reserve a table for my husbands and I wedding anniversary. The gentleman was very helpful, was able to discuss where we wanted our table. The food.. oh the food.. really really good! We got a cauliflower appetizers also with the calamari appetizer. We were pleasantly surprised when the cauliflower appetizer got to our table. It was in the form of a muffin. Great density, texture and (I hate this word) moist. The calamari had a great crunch but yet chew texture(my husband ate most of it) and seasoned very well. We ordered the wagyu(spelling?) steak. This by far was AMAZING! We both got medium well and it came as ordered. This steak was juicy, full of flavor and buttery in your mouth. So good. Then to top it off the waitress( whom was great) brought over an envelope and said it was for us. Got home and opened it, it was a thank you card for going there! We walked in on a weeknight where the majority of tables were empty. They looked us up and down and asked if we had a reservation. We didn't, as this is not required for most restaurants on a weeknight. This seemed completely unnecessary as more than half of their tables were empty. I guess our nice shirts/jeans weren't designer, regardless of the salaries we make. If you are looking for an uppity place to treat you like crap and still call themselves a brewery, this might be just for you. Surprising in a smaller town like Monroe. read more

Valentines Dinner was disappointing, but staff were great, a very relaxed feeling and casual service. Valentines fell on the Friday before a long weekend, our reservation was at 5:00 and was full. When we went to order my husband asked about the pork belly tacos and only then did, he says they were sold out of those and the Surf and Turf platter, first seating on a special day and start of long weekend and they were already out of items, poor planning especially when their reservations were packed. Loved the Brussel sprout appetizer but had to return my roast beef as it was so chewy and flavorless, ordered the Mac and cheese as a replacement as I was informed anything else would take a while due to how busy the kitchen was, asked for it without the meat, 20 minutes later it arrived with the meat I requested to not have so just pushed it aside and ate the over cooked pasta. Cocktails were good but hate the pricing structure. Ordered Old fashions and were asked which Whiskey we wanted and asked what the house was which was Old Forester, which was fine, so we went with that. Pricing was a set price for the old fashion and then extra for the Whiskey. How do you make an old fashion without the liquor? Paying for the glass, ice cube, bitters and orange peel and Cherry then separate for the booze, which was their well, really? Upsell liquor I get but not house. Lastly, we ordered the Beignets for dessert and very disappointing, not light and fluffy as expected but flat and doughy, unpleasant to say the least. Won't be stopping in again anytime soon.
