We have been coming here for a few years and we love it! The owner; Dan, is a great guy and loves to get to know all of the people who roll in. :) He has between 4-6 beers on tap that he brews which are always great and offers a few wines for the non beer drinkers. Inside is nice, with high top table & bar. When the weather is nice there is an awesome outdoor patio area with a variety of seating accommodations. If you want a local brewery to visit, give Crooked Label a try here in Monroe! :)

Awesomely refreshing beer at Crooked Label!

Excellent brewery located in Monroe! Crooked Label is one of the newer breweries that have emerged here in this town. I remember when there was just one brewery in this town but now there are about four now. Steve and I had two different beers here which we both really enjoyed a lot! One was the Fuzzy's IPA. This was such a good IPA with it's hoppy, malty and caramel flavor features this mellow flavored IPA was fantastic! The other beer was a red ale, Richard's Red. This award winning beer was wonderful as well! It too had caramel flavor highlights to it and was so incredibly smooth. What a lovely beer! Definitely put Crooked Label on your stops if you are planning to try out the breweries in Monroe!

    Cheers!

This was such a great find on a sunny Sunday afternoon. Great beer, service, music and location! The brewer, Dan, is inviting and a great storyteller. We're coming back, for sure!

A great little start-up brewery crafting some really tasty beers. Free parking can be found in the parking lot. Discover is an accepted form of payment. There are a couple outdoor tables for those who prefer to sit outside. Crooked Label offers wine for those who don't like beer. There isn't a kitchen on-site; outdoor food is welcome. During our visit, I slurped on Fuzzy's IPA for $6 a glass. My wife slurped on Richard's Red for $6 a glass. We both loved our choices. Dan, the owner, is humble, friendly and skilled. It's clear that Dan takes pride in his passion. Give it one taste and you'll see for yourself too. I look forward to stopping at Crooked Label again when in the area. Hopefully next time I'll be able to take a few cans home with me.

Dan Haff! (owner) What a great little treasure. Treated like family in this cozy little brewery ty!

The owners were behind the counter, welcoming everyone and pouring the beer, very friendly and knowledgeable about their beers. Looking over a good selection of different style beers for a small brewery. After a little quizzing of Kipp and Bradley, the Aussie sparkling Ale 'Hyphen 18' was my first selection, all Aussie hops, brewed with a brut type finish, like one of my favorites at Drakes brewery in Cali ( sad days when they retired it) very refreshing, balanced ( not over hopped) with a brut (dry) finish, definitely a good choice after a warm day of work or play. Part of the philosophy of Bugu brewing is brewing well balanced beers, which from the tastings from my first visit they've accomplished very well. Well balanced with great flavor brews. Of course being a lover of Reds, I also tried a full pour of their take on Irish reds.. Donnybrook, very flavorful with a good full bodied taste, very smooth. I can imagine it could only taste better, if they added nitro to the mix, to add a little creaminess, but great just the way they did it. I'm looking forward to return stops, after more hiking adventures in the Mount Baker forest area. Plenty of food places nearby, that are also welcome as you enjoy this gem of a brewery in Monroe. Cheers!

We ordered the $35 clam orzo and the $54 New York steak medium rare. The New York comes with no sides. $54 is the price for the steak on its own. They don't have a menu of sides and we weren't asked if we wanted any sides with it. The "New York" that we got was literally just a chunk of fat with maybe 5 bites of meat on it. It was literally cold and still blue, so rare. It had barely been put onto the grill. The flavor was bland, like a cheap steak you'd get at buzz in. Definitely not a $50+ steak and was not cooked appropriately. The clam orzo looked promising. Huge portion and smelled delicious, but I took one bite and it was so salty I couldn't eat it. Literally tasted like the salt container fell in it. They did end up refunding us for the steak and the orzo. We paid for our drinks, the calamari and left hungry. Still ended up paying $50 (plus a $10 tip for our nice waitress) for an appetizer, two bottled IPA's and one rum cocktail. Also worth mentioning that the tables are very close together. It felt like we were eating with the strangers next to us. Our seat on one side was a shared bench with other guests and it was very loud, not a problem unless you want to have a semi private conversation. So disappointing after waiting years for a toddler free night to visit this restaurant.. I'm not sure that we will be back. If we do, we will likely visit for the bar and appetizers.

I happened to visit on a Saturday afternoon with live music which added a ton to the experience. Plenty of easy parking, a food truck was present when I visited, there's a coffee stand in the parking lot, snacks/non alcoholic drinks available for sale inside. Lots of room both inside and out, a large outside area with a couple fire tables and an actual fire pit, some plastic axe throwing and other things, tons of room for dogs and children. Some of the outside area was covered for those days when you want to be outside at a fire table but the weather disagrees. Lots of beers to choose from but also a distillery on site with a separate room and cocktails available for purchase. This room has a fancier decor and is 21 plus if you want to be away from those with children. I guess Glory Bucha Kombucha is also being brewed on site. They were out of the blackberry pale beer when we visited, but plenty of other tasty options on tap. Sounds like they also have a connection with a winery and a cider company. Multiple people behind the bar is also a plus. My only complaint is that a place this large could use more than 2 bathrooms. I'll definitely be adding this to my Snohomish rotation and hope to be back again soon. Fingers crossed I can snag a fire table next time.

The first one I had was the All American Farmhouse Cream Ale which was good. I always enjoy cream ales and wish that I would come across them more often but I always take advantage of the opportunity when I see one. Flavors to expect with this cream ale are creaminess and sweet. The other beer I got in a growler and took it home for Steve to try out. This was an Oatmeal Stout which was very good! Characteristics and flavors to look for is Oatmeal, some coffee, richness and nice and dark. Good first time experience, love the taproom and how it's set up inside a barn and pleasant outdoor seating.
