Everyone there is knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely focused on helping customers rather than just making a sale. Their service technicians are always professional and courteous. They call ahead before arriving, which gives us time to secure our dog--a small detail that we really appreciate. Over the years, we've relied on Shawn's for everything from routine pool chemicals and accessories to major maintenance, including pool drains/startup, cleaner rebuilds, filter cleans, acid wash, and even a salt cell installation. Every job has been done well and at a fair price. Whenever I've needed repairs or considered buying a new pool cleaner, Shawn has always taken the time to explain the different options, along with the pros and cons of each, so I could make an informed decision instead of feeling pressured into the most expensive choice. When we had a pool leak several years back, Shawn even put me in touch with another company that found the leak right away and began repairs immediately. I wanted to make sure how much it was going to actually cost me, so I made sure that they knew WHAT I HAD IN SUPPLIES including the fact that I had three bags of salt and I wanted them to be used so that I would NOT HAVE to pay their price for the salt needed for my pool. I knew I would need two additional bags but that was it. Well it DID NOT GET USED even though it was NOTED on my file. Then I also knew I needed to replace the filters and would do so at the same time as when getting my pool drained and refilled. The tech was already here, it's not like he had to do an extra trip or anything. I had called and spoken to Shawn over the phone because I received a text letting me know the filters were on sale with a 15% discount and I wanted to make sure the discount was applied to my invoice. He said that yes it was going to be applied on the final bill. Except Shawn failed to mention the FACT THAT THEY WERE GOING TO CHARGE ME $140 additional for putting the filters in. But the worst part was when I went in person to find out why my bill was so high. Of course being the honest person that I am I HAD ALREADY PAID THE INVOICE. Because both the young guy with the beard can't remember his name and a lady with short curly hair ( also don't know her name) were very rude. Even though I was not talking to her in regards to my situation she decided to butt in and tell me that "was I thinking I was going to get things for free?" And the guy all he could say was " well I don't know what was said and what wasn't" pretty much my word against theirs. THAT'S FINE I WILL HAVE THE FINAL WORD, YOU ARE A RIP OFF. But to charge me more than double and not to call me about it first is crazy. If you're treating pool and you mess up something it's not my fault. I shouldn't have to pay extra for someone not understanding how to treat the pool. i cancelled service and the owner won't call me back. Place is ran horribly.

Called at last minute to cancel & reschedule. A couple of dirt storms had the pool a little cloudy. So, when he showed up, he refused to clean the tile, until I filtered it for a few days. I told him to hook up the equipment & I'd get in the pool & do the blasting myself. What a primadonna! Did this & called / text / vm him to get a new date & they all went unanswered. Drove by his place & the work van was parked in the garage with the door opened. My guess is he underbid. Today I went in because I had bought a 6 pack of LED flood light bulbs for our kitchen, when only 2 were bad at that time. Now it is 6 months later, and in trying to use the other new bulbs I found that only 1 of the 4 worked, and the rest were defective from the factory! I took the box back with the receipt, when the cashiers told me that THEIR WARRANTY to exchange or return items is only 30 days, even though the warranty from the manufacturer is 5 years. Therefore if I try to exchange defective items after 31 days, they will refer me to the manufacturer. I realize that each Ace is privately owned, which is why I try to patronize them whenever possible. Unfortunately I cannot count on them given their rigid policy, so I guess I will go to Home Depot from now on, as they would have exchanged these defective bulbs after 6 months, regardless of their store policy. There is such a thing as the "spirit of the law" versus the "Letter of the law", and even the big box stores will look at the facts before chasing customers away. Too bad that the owner of this Ace stores does not give their people the latitude to make decisions that will maintain their customer relations, especially when they could have easily exchanged these bulbs with their distributor. UPDATED on 5/27/26: Since leaving this review I reached out to the manufacturer of these bulbs, and they then sent me 3 more bulbs to replace these non-working ones. I also received an e-mail from a manager of the company, when they advised me that they wanted to make this right, and that I could return to the store to exchange these bulbs. I replied that I had already had them replaced by the manufacturer, but I greatly appreciate their review and willingness to follow through in this exchange. I now understand that nothing is returnable at Ace after 30 days, just like with Amazon! I will return back to Ace in the future, but I will have to check everything within their 30 day return period in order to avoid this issue again. Any warranty claims may only be resolved directly with the manufacturer.

Ace delivers and installs all their grills for no additional charge that cost over a certain dollar amount. I think it's $399. Even though Ace features Traeger products, they sell other brands as well. We ended up buying a Recteq. The smoker arrived a day or two prior to when the website stated it would. Ruggiero's Ace had a couple guys deliver it to our house and they had it set up very quickly. The smoker has worked flawlessly ever since. And I use it a lot! We buy all our supplies from there as well. I realize that you can buy spice blends, sauces and pellets for less elsewhere, but will you get better service? And I always use the Ace app. There are some good deals to be had on there!
