Excited to finally find a good Thai spot in Brooklyn! I came by with a friend for dinner on a Monday, and I really enjoyed their dishes. For the two of us, we maybe over ordered a bit with a pad see ew, grilled marinated ribeye, and the crab fried rice. I also ordered the tom yum to try, and was pleasantly surprised! Level 3 spicy is not too spicy for the soup, and the flavors were all well balanced. All of the dishes were solid and generously portioned. We ordered the steak medium rare, and it maybe came out to be a little more rare. Regardless, it was still tasty. Prices are super reasonable, service is attentive. Cash & card are accepted. Had a great experience at Lert Ros today. My husband found this restaurant searching for Thai food. The restaurant is clean. We were greeted at the door and felt welcome. The waiter gave us time to get settled in before ordering. He was helpful and politely answered our questions. Drinks: We both had the Spicy Tamarind. Jalapeño infused tequila gives it a kick. Not overpowering-just enough heat. Mixed well, a good drink. Appetizers: We had the curry puffs and fried calamari. The curry puffs were fresh, hot and the cucumber/onion vinegar dip complimented it well. The calamari was good-it could have been a little more tender. The sauce it came with was good. Dinner: We both had Drunken noodles (asked for not very spicy). He had shrimp and I had tofu. The shrimp was a good amount and was flavored well. This restaurant has recently opened in my neighborhood and I finally got a chance to try it the other night. I went it to order takeout but realized as soon as I stepped in that it's a nice place to dine-in. There was two tables of friends and families having several dishes and I made a note of the ribeye for the next time I visited. But this time I was in a mood for drunken noodle with chicken and Thai wings. I brought them back home to share with my husband and we loved the Thai wings. It wasn't too spicy and was full of flavor. You can taste the lemon and basil with each bite. The drunken noodles were tasty but the chicken in it could have used som salt. I had the chance to try this place due to a delivery mix up and honestly it ended up being way better than I expected. I've ordered a few times since then and most things have held up. The Tom Yum Soup has real depth, not just heat and sourness, which I loved. Pad See Ew is perfectly balanced, savory, and hits the spot, and the Crab Fried Rice is generous and packed with bold flavor. As per usual, my friend arrived there early at 6pm even though I informed her that we were meeting at 6:30pm. Due to my error, I was only able to get there at 6:45pm. After dinner, she told me the waitress bugged her to order a dish while she waited. The dishes were all good especially the pad thai with crispy pork. I also loved the seafood dish. However, I wasn't happy with the service. Two waitresses during dinner rush weren't enough. Therefore, the service was very slow. Be aware of your bill. If it's Thai food, I'm always down to try it! Came to Lert Ros Thai Food on a Saturday afternoon with a friend. We ordered the Lert Ros sampler and the green curry with chicken. We also wanted the mango sticky rice, but the staff told us the mango wasn't fresh; major letdown because that's honestly my favorite part of the meal. The green curry was pretty good! We got mild but it still had a good kick to it. The sampler had a little bit of everything; fried calamari, curry puff, egg roll, shrimp roll, chicken satay, and a chive pancake. My family and I dined here last 1-2 weeks ago. I called ahead and made a dinner reservation and requested a high chair for my baby. I was happy they had one we could use. The ambiance was nice. We each ordered our own entree and one appetizer which included: Calamari, pad see ew, (2) drunken noodle (one with chicken and the other with shrimp), and a seafood dish. The Calamari was good. My drunken noodle dish - I requested it to be made mild, but it was spicy. My husband ordered drunken noodle with chicken and requested it to be mild too and his was mild. I came on a weekend for lunch but would love to come again on a weekday for their lunch specials -- which seems to be great deals! I ordered the pad kee mao with level 3 spice (4 being the highest). I can handle pretty spicy food but the server warned me their spice is pretty high so I didn't want to take the risk on my first experience here. Turns out the spice was pretty spicy so I did. However, note that the spice might not be consistent based on future visits after the initial visit. Food was flavorful and the Thai tea is sweet and freshly brewed. We tried the green curry and the pad see ew. The complimentary soup was quite delicious but portion was so small. It was about half a bowl to soup. The complimentary choice of appetizer was so small too. It was a spring roll cut in half or two small pieces of the chive pancakes. The chive pancake was quite delicious. The entrees also felt like half portion sizes. The pad see ew was not bad but just felt like such a small portion. The green curry was a little spicy and was okay. Not the best green curry I've had. The Prime Ribeye with Pad Prik King is so damn good. I thought it'd be a full steak, but it came as seared ribeye cubes--crispy edges, juicy inside, no complaints. Great mix of meaty and fatty bits that keep every bite interesting. Comes on a sizzling plate that is still roasting a bit when it hits the table. The pad prik khing sauce tastes like a spicier A1--didn't feel super "Thai" to me, but it works perfectly with the beef regardless. Comes with jasmine rice that pairs perfectly with this absolute banger of a dish. Restaurant itself is nice and clean with a cozy and homey yet upscale feel. The tables are well spaced apart where you don't feel like you're dining on top of other diners. The waitress was also very quick, friendly, and receptive. Ordered the drunken noodle and ribeye special where although the noodle itself were flavorful, the ribeye was quite bland. The waitress was kind enough to provide me some sauce on the side which helped a bit. Overall it was a decent dish and cooked perfectly medium rare. The ingredients they use and the way the dish was constructed was symbolic of authentic Thai and there is so much variety to try, so highly recommend coming here, especially for their very reasonable lunch menu! The Lert ros sampler came with 2 chicken skewer, 2 shrimp rolls, 2 chive pancakes, 2 curry puffs, and pieces of calamari which has good flavor. The Ribye panang had a lovely sear/grilled flavor. The sauce that came with it accentuated the meat very well. Highly recommend this dish. Duck curry was mild spicy, and it was creamy curry not liquidy. Duck meat was surprisingly crispy. I assumed they most likely deep fried it. Very flavorful curry in my opinion. And finally the pad see ew, definitely cooked at high fire cause it had a very good seared taste to it that mixed very well with the sweet soy sauce they added. Thai tea unfortunately was basic to me nothing special to call home about, but if you cant handle sweet, tell them to put less sugar. While I was doing homecare visits for work, when I had clients nearby, I would order the pad thai lunch special from Lert and enjoyed my meal. It was a Sat evening and the place quickly got full with Thai folks, all coming with reservations, which was a good sign. All the dishes except Tom Yum soup were excellent. It was the first time we tried steak at Thai restaurant and it was good. Mango Mojito was delicious. The service was quick and polite. It could be more thoughtful though as we got our soups along with the appetizers and had to jump between them. Why not to serve the appetizers and then soup or at least ask how we prefer it? The interior is very simple and unremarkable. Overall, we can recommend Lert Ros Thai as a good Thai restaurant with interesting selection of specials. My mom and I decided to come here for dinner on a weekend. The place is super cozy - not too big but we did not have to wait for a seat. The menu was also not super extensive but they had a lot of the traditional thai foods along with speciality items where they put a twist on traditional thai food items. We decided to get the Lert Ros Sampler - this comes with a variety of different appetizers and it's a really good deal if you want to try a bunch of different appeitzers. It came with spring rolls (these were really crispy, chive pancake (this was just alright for me, too doughy for my liking), shrimp roll (these also have a chicken filling and was pretty good, very cripsy as well), chicken skewer (also delicious with the peanut sauce), calamari fritter (very crispy) and curry puff (this was alright, I'm not a huge fan of curry puffs in general but it had a pretty good curry flavor). For our main dish we got the beef pad see ew - this was pretty standard. Good flavoring, I think that the beef could have been more tender but it was not bad. The service was a bit slower as there was only two people working in the front - one was behind the bar and one was taking orders and bringing out the food. What a disappointing experience from beginning to end! Ordered around 2PM yesterday afternoon through Yelp, and for over 15 minutes, it kept saying the order wasn't approved by the restaurant. Thinking I got the hours of operation wrong, I called the hotline to try to cancel. After 10 minutes, I was told the order was approved and in the works. Okay, great so I waited close to an hour to deliver. No doorbell was rung; no knock on the door - it was wedged between my screen door and main door. No idea how long it was sitting there, but I digress. I ordered a Thai iced tea, which was pretty meh and leaked over the brown paper bag it was contained in. My beef pad thai wasn't made with pad thai noodles but with legit angel hair pasta. Very confusing. The flavors were more Chinese inspired than thai; very disappointing. I got my husband beef pad see ew and that was the better of the two, but not by much. Again, hubby agreed this was more Chinese tasting than Thai and found it to be much better than my "pad thai". The overall winner of this experience was the curry puffs of all things! Was it worth $11? Not at all. I was looking forward to trying a new Thai place that replaced a previous one that was pretty decent. I came here on a Tuesday about two weeks ago for the lunch special - we got the Pad See Ew and Thai Fried Rice entrees with soup and spring rolls. The reason for my 4 stars is due to how hot it was inside the restaurant. Not sure if it was just an off day, but the AC literally felt like it was off... in 85-degree weather. The window was open and the thermostat said 88 degrees. As good as the food was, it was almost impossible to enjoy it (especially drinking the piping hot soup) because I was sitting there sweating profusely. The waitress saw me fanning myself and went to touch the thermostat but it did not get any cooler. I haven't been back since so I don't know if they fixed it yet, but I don't see anyone else mentioning it.
