    Catfish Plate (2 pc)

We ate here for lunch yesterday... And it was great! Two guests had catfish and they said it was fabulous and I tried the barbecue plate with coleslaw and potato salad. Everything was fresh.

Ribs, turnip greens, fried okra, Cole slaw and BBQ beans

The ribs were delicious! Friendly staff and very clean! It was our 1st time through Memphis and wanted to try a place shown on Diners, Drive-In's and Dives. Super glad we did!

Wow; the new location of Leonard's Pit BBQ located off South Germantown Parkway was a truly excellent choice. The location has plenty of parking options and it's in a safe location. From the time you walk through the door you notice how clean, open and friendly the staff are when you're greeted. The food is served fresh, hot and delicious. I ordered the jumbo bbq sandwich plate with beans and coleslaw. The sandwich had plenty of meat, sauce and coleslaw. The beans had plenty of meat and a great flavor. The coleslaw was fresh and just delicious. This has always been one of my top bbq restaurants in Memphis and know it's even better because they are now in my neighborhood. If you want some great bbq then Leonard's Pit BBQ is the way to go; TRUST ME..‍

Memphis BBQ history at this new location. Service was great, nice bright and clean facility. Have been eating at Leonards since Bellvue location. Food was well prepared, reasonable prices. Beans and spaghetti were great. Bbq was like I remember, authentic Memphis style hickory smoked with a sweet sauce. Their slaw is unusual texture- very fine ground with a sweet mustard and vinegar dressing.

I REALLY wanted to be a fan, but I was not. And honestly, sometimes I find myself conflicted because I like one thing, but then dislike another. So in this case, the service was GREAT! Our server was fun, attentive, and knowledgeable. I also was enamored by the decor. They had original menus and photos from when the restaurant first opened and it was fun to see how far they've come (especially in pricing). However in my very humble opinion, the BBQ was not indicative of MEMPHIS BBQ. It was not seasoned well, and I didn't enjoy it at all. But I didn't want to send anything back because the service was so good! (I hope that makes sense to others)

I had an absolutely awesome meal at Amerigo! First visit at this location. I made a reservation and…read morewaited only about five minutes before being seated. The Italian bread with herbs was delicious, and every appetizer we tried -- from the cheese fritters to the calamari -- was excellent. I chose the smoked chicken ravioli for my entrée, and it was truly delectable. We finished dinner with key lime pie for dessert, and it was mmm good. Overall, the meal was fabulous. My only complaint was the air-conditioning, which felt brutally cold at times. Thankfully it wasn't on continuously, but I couldn't help wondering -- why is the AC blasting on a cold January night? Our server was excellent as well. A+!

Our waiter, Jason, was very attentive throughout the evening and made sure we had everything we needed. We started with drinks, and I ordered the blueberry tequila sour -- twice! They were very good. I ended the night with a French 75, which was also delicious. For appetizers, our table ordered a wide variety including cheese fritters, calamari, crab cakes, artichoke dip, and mussels. Most of the appetizers were enjoyable, especially the crab cakes, which were my personal favorite. The only disappointment was the calamari, which lacked flavor, had a rubbery texture, and even the marinara sauce was bland. After filling up on appetizers, I skipped an entrée and ordered another round of crab cakes instead. While they were excellent, they were served over a bed of pinto beans mixed with salad, which felt like an odd pairing. There are definitely better side options that could complement the dish. Overall, the food was about a 7/10, service was a solid 9/10 (though drinks took a little longer than expected), and the ambiance was pleasantly low-lit without feeling overly formal. It's a family-friendly spot with a welcoming atmosphere, and I'd definitely consider returning for future special occasions.

Overall it was a bit of a mixed bag, but ultimately it was mostly a good experience. The room was nice - open space, dimly lit, enough for a cool spot for a date night. Our waitress was also the hostess - not sure if they were understaffed or that's just how it goes there. But for the most part she was fine. Had a bit of a "whatever" attitude but was nice. There were times where we couldn't track her down so we needed to ask other staff for things. The main "negative" aspect of our night (to jump ahead a bit) was when we got the check. It was noticeably more expensive than expected. I typically do a good job having a roundabout idea of what we're spending when we order, so I knew something was up. It wasn't until after we asked for an itemized copy of the receipt (that we had to ask someone else for), that we saw that she included gratuity in the total without saying anything about it. I'm glad I noticed because I could have easily given double gratuity without even knowing I was doing so. I was a bit frustrated with that aspect of the experience. The food was mostly good. We ordered the bbq shrimp as an appetizer - their creole bbq sauce was AMAZING! I couldn't get enough. I got their smash burger as an entree. Not the best burger I've ever had but it was definitely pretty good. My wife got the bolognese which had absolutely too much pepper. It was mostly all you could taste in each bite. All in all, it was a decent experience. I think I'll head back the next time I'm in the area for some more bbq shrimp... maybe get a couple orders to go :)

My favorites were the Foccia bread (very buttery), the lemon chicken and the gnocchi. The ambience is a nice candlelight dinner for a cute date night or special event. We made a reservation in advanced and they had a complementary valet outfront, which made for a no stress experience. Our waitress was kind, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The menu is rotating with the seasons, a bit on the pricier end, which is expected, but really wasn't too bad for such high quality.

Overall there are 5 courses and took about 2 hours. Overall the food was very good except the entree. The spinach was extremely salty and unfortunately every time i or my group took a bite of spinach it was off putting. I was able to eat the portions not touch by the spinach but it was so salty spinach was inedible. The best thing of the night was this spinach pasta dish with pumpkin. I would just go back for that. Again, overall it was a fun experience but unfortunately would not do it again. I would probably go back just for their pasta.
