Howdy yelpers. I'm trying to do better posting here. I often forget to. Apologies. Anyway, decided to drop by after a doctor appointment n both the proprietors, husband n wife Mike n Pam Arnold were there. That in itself is a bonus for u. We chatted a bit n back to work they went n I left to drive home. [[HIGHLIGHT]]If you're downtown or looking for a nice atmosphere w great A/C (lol) stop on by, take a seat n Njoy the food, service n ambiance.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Prices are reasonable depending on your taste buds. They have an array of choices n specials to boot. Homemade desserts are yummy. You can meet Mike & Pam n tell em David sent us/me. lol.

Very kind folks. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Spacious area.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food missed the mark. Meat came with sauce already on it.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Server was very nice, open feel with sports on was nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Smelled like they were cooking with propane which was a turn off.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Nacho Fries with Chk were good, but the brisket came out dry as if they cooked extra and it def did not just come off a smoker. It was like they tried to warm it up without covering to hold moisture.

Great food and customer service. Loved the BBQ especially the ribs. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great furniture inside and theme.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Amazing hospitality, food, and atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The waitress was unbelievably kind & accommodating. We stopped through coming from Arkansas to Memphis airport & will make this stop in the future!

This restaurant was amazing. It was a bit hidden from the main street, but once near the place, it's impossible not to identify it. It also has a bug parking lot if you are going by car. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Inside, it has a los of seats available.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I went around noon for lunch, and it had only one more customer.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The waitress was very friendly while taking our order. I ordered the BBQ beef brisket dinner with fries and a cole-slaw. The order took a long time to arrive, but it was worth the wait. The brisket was very tender. The flavor was amazing. The bun that we got was warm and has a nice butter flavor. Also, the beans tasted delicious! Excellent restaurant!!

Service was more than adequate Ambiance is not fancy, a little rustic with worn floors and exposed vent conduit tubes. No real music besides kitchen radio. :-) Lighting is a little dark for daytime. I got the chicken sandwich which was chopped chicken and sauce. It was very good! Chicken moist and just the right amount of BBQ sauce, fries were crispy and cooked just right. I'd come back.

Best bbq we had on our trip through Memphis. We were looking for the best and hit all the famous and historic hot spots in Memphis. There were good restaurants but Arnold's was the best from vegetable sides to wings. They even have vegetarian items (fried okra, onion rings, fries, baked beans, green beans) and the flavors are each outstanding. I always ask to clarify recipes haven't changed to include egg/milk/any meat as best practice before ordering. The server wasn't able to clarify that anything was vegan but do ask the chef when they aren't busy to clarify/call ahead. They do a whiskey-beer batter on the onion rings that is great. Make this stop a point to visit. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Even has some cool Memphis graffiti in the alley in front.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] No frills, just exceptional food and good service.

The food however was honestly meh (in my opinion). I got a creole dish and to be fair my dish looked beautiful. The plating was 10/10 but the taste for me left something to be desired. After eating this dish I questioned if I even like creole sauce because it really just wasn't that good. If this is a preference issue, I honestly don't know. I also thought the charcuterie appetizer had a weird mix of items on it from club crackers, to meat and cheese, and random veggies. Not bad but just kind of a weird mix. My husband ordered the salmon and he said it was good, not the best he's had but it was good. Other friends of ours got the white fish among the many other dishes. I did have a salad with these apples on it which was incredibly yummy. I will say though my dish looked amazing some of the other dishes were not plated well. Not to nitpick but to want to be considered a more upscale restaurant which means charging guest more money than say a local Applebee's then knowing how to appropriately garnish or drizzle sauce to elevate at plate is important (see my picture of the chicken dish). All and all not my favorite restaurant but definitely not the worst!!

Here's a clean, strong review that keeps your energy: Hands down one of the best spots in town. The beer selection is top-tier--something for everyone, whether you're into classics or trying something new. The food is next level, especially the fries... easily top 3 I've ever had. Crispy, flavorful, and addictive. The atmosphere seals the deal: great music, high energy, and the fact that they're open until 3am is a game changer. Best part? The service is always on point. Staff is friendly, fast, and actually cares about the experience.

One of the Worst Customer Service Experiences I've Had After…read moreattending a Pride event and visiting from out of town, my friend and I stopped by Bar Dogs late at night/early in the morning on June 7th, hoping to grab some food before heading back to our hotel. Unfortunately, we were met with one of the rudest bartenders I've ever encountered. As soon as we sat down at the bar, the bartender--a Caucasian woman with a short haircut whose name I unfortunately didn't get--greeted us with an attitude that immediately made us feel unwelcome. Instead of providing friendly service, she was dismissive, impatient, and rushed us through placing our to-go order. She informed us that we could not eat at the bar, which was completely fine. We agreed without any issue and ordered our food to go. However, when my food arrived, I simply opened the container to make sure my order was correct before leaving. She immediately rushed back over and aggressively said, "Didn't I tell you that you could not eat at the bar?" I hadn't taken a single bite--I was only checking my order. Rather than politely clarifying the policy, she continued to scold us and make us feel like we were inconveniencing her simply by being there. We still hadn't even received my friend's food, yet she seemed more interested in lecturing us than providing basic customer service. Once my friend's food finally arrived, we left as quickly as possible. As visitors in town celebrating Pride, we expected a welcoming atmosphere and basic courtesy. Instead, we experienced hostility, impatience, and a complete lack of professionalism. There's a huge difference between enforcing a policy and treating customers with disrespect, and this bartender clearly doesn't understand that distinction. The food may have been fine, but the service was so unpleasant that I would never return or recommend Bar Dogs to anyone looking for a friendly place to eat or have a drink. Customer service training is desperately needed.

After leaving a nearby bar, our group stopped in simply looking for food. The restaurant was virtually empty, yet the manager, Charles, insisted that if any of us sat near one another, we would be considered one large party and could only have one check. I explained that we had no problem sitting at separate tables, and each table would gladly have a single check. That should have solved the issue. Instead, Charles instructed an inexperienced and unprofessional server to scatter us throughout the restaurant and warned that if we interacted between tables, we would still be treated as one party. From a management standpoint, this decision made no sense. Rather than maximizing an opportunity to generate significant revenue, leadership chose to create unnecessary obstacles. Ironically, spreading us throughout the restaurant would have required opening multiple sections, increasing the workload on servers and support staff instead of simplifying operations. Leadership sets the tone for a business. Good managers solve problems and create positive guest experiences. They don't create barriers that send paying customers elsewhere. At the end of the day, every business has one primary objective: to generate revenue while providing excellent customer service. Unfortunately, this experience demonstrated poor judgment, inflexible leadership, and a missed opportunity to earn the business of 24 guests who simply wanted a meal. I hope Curfew reevaluates this approach because customer service, common sense, and hospitality should always work together.

Online said they were open -- and technically, they were... if you count "limited menu" as "basically nothing available." There was no host, no bartender greeting, and no clue what was going on, so we seated ourselves like it was some post-apocalyptic dining experience. The drinks were fine, in the same way gas station coffee is "fine" when you're desperate. No water unless you ask (apparently hydration is an upgrade), and the bartender gave us about as much info on the menu as a Magic 8 Ball. I brought my wife here to impress her -- turns out, I just impressed her with how bad I am at picking places. Four drinks and some wings cost $114, and the best part? Gratuity was already included. Love a place that rewards itself for mediocre effort. If you've got literally any other option -- vending machine, food truck, pretzel stand at the concert -- take it.

Later during the meal, he admits that Momma's is one of his spots, so that's saying a lot. It sort of looked like another bar/restaurant from the outside, but they have a nice outdoor patio overlooking an old decrepit building which is at least some scenery. Once inside, you'll quickly see it's highly decorated and has a claim to be one of the only trucker themed bars in the US. Inside is decked out to the ceilings with signs, neon, old mirrors, collectibles, and many other items. I swear it looks like it's been in business for 30+ years, but my client said only a couple of years. I looked over the basic menu and saw burgers, breakfast, salads, sandwiches, a famous pork chop, wings and a few other items. The client and my colleague quickly ordered devilled eggs, cheese curds, and chili cheese fries. The first two apps were really good, I didn't try the fries though. They had a burger of the day, and a food special of the day, but I settled on the wings. With those I chose the 10 pc, Buffalo with dry rub, smoked. Kind of a weird combination since most people usually order dry here apparently, but I like saucy wings. When they come out, they are huge and I knew I wouldn't be able to finish them. I think I could only eat 6-7. My colleague had a ribeye steak salad which was a protein bomb he loved, and my 2 clients ordered a big rig grilled cheese which he also loved and a fried chicken sandwich (firebird) which looked really good.
