I really wanted to like The Grille, but unfortunately it was a letdown. We ordered two 5-piece wing combos with okra, fries, and Kool-Aid. The wings were very dry and tough, especially for the price -- which felt ridiculously high for the quality we received. On the positive side, the fries and okra were actually good, and the Kool-Aid was enjoyable as well. Those were honestly the only things I liked about the meal. For what they charge, the chicken should be much better. I don't mind paying more if the food is worth it, but this just wasn't. Hopefully it was an off day, but based on this visit, I wouldn't order the wings again. This place was great and the staff was friendly. It was a bit more expensive than I expected but the chicken on a stick portions are a nice sized. Coworker had polish sausage hotdog and fries and it too about 30 minutes to get. Other coworker got a chicken and shrimp rice bowl and said it was good but was expecting a bigger portion. The inside has plenty of seating and two TVs showing two different channels for entertainment. I had the grilled chicken salad and Special #1. You can tell they smoke all their food on the same grill. The smoked food tastes delicious. The grilled chicken salad had plenty of toppings, meat, and salad dressing. The chicken was extremely tender. The fried okra was great. We placed our order in the store and it took over 30 minutes to get our food. There were a couple of DoorDash delivery drivers that got tired of waiting and some customers that threatened to leave. The staff here are friendly and this place is really trying. Tried this for the first time and everything was really good! The special was the perfect amount of food and everything was seasoned very well. I got the bbq sauce with it which was not traditional tasting but rather very sweet and tangy and delicious. The house salad was a good size and three of us easily split it with our meals. The chicken and shrimp Alfredo got very high remarks from my family as well and came in a large portion. Two people in my family split it and still could not finish it. What I can tell you is don't come here during lunch hour if you're in a rush because they're slow as hell. I empathize with being busy but be better organized. I went here to try out their Big Mouth Burger on which it's a 30min wait so it's best to call in to avoid the wait. The Grille has great food. If you like family back yard barbecue, this is the place. I started going to the location on Lamar near the MLGW office & was happy to see them open a location closer to me. I like ordering & picking up food when I don't want to cook & we usually have enough for leftovers. Good bbq grill taste, well seasoned & reasonably priced. My only issue is they run out of ribs too often. I assume because they are more known for their chicken wings & chicken on stick. This is the second time that I have received undercooked chicken wings. The first time my coworkers and I received undercooked chicken wings from them and they replaced the order. I had to wait an additional 20-25 more minutes of my lunch time not considering the driving back to the restaurant.
