I'm not sure how this brick and mortar chain can continue to charge such exorbitantly high prices and survive. Their ability to act as though their part of your optometrists office, helps (they're not) as they try and grab you as you leave the office. I got a new prescription and wanted ONLY new replacement progressive lenses placed in existing frames---their costs were almost, not quite, $600 of which my insurance covered a pittance. This is only for a single pair of glass lenses--mind you, not the frames. It's a ridiculous price. With all the easy, online optical ordering options, this is a chain that is ripe for disruption unless they figure out how to lower their pricing. I will say the individual who tried to help me was helpful and almost apologetic. read more

I'd have to say I'm pretty satisfied with my experience at LensCrafters at the Camelback colonnade. I've worn contacts for years, but wanted to glasses just as backup. I didn't like the selection at Costco, so I came here for a wider variety. I don't with Maureen. She had an excellent grasp of what would look good on my face and what kind of style I have. We found the pair I wanted and got them ordered. I went and grabbed a bite to eat by the time I got back they were ready. They were running a 30% off sale so I got a chance to save some money. Hopefully I won't need glasses anytime soon, but if I do I'll be looking for Maureen at LensCrafters. read more

I went to LensCrafter to look at new eyeglasses for him. There was no type of order to this store. I am use to going to LensCrafter locations where glasses and eyeglasses are in order by brands. There was some eye wear in order by brand but majority was all over the place. I really didn't like this location because of this. The sales people were good, but I think I will try to go to different location possibly in another state (when I am visiting that state) to get another pair of glasses. read more

I had a appointment March 8 , 2020. The visit was fine except when it came to checking out and paying my bill. What a surprise of$96. Which included my insurance. OMG. I have UHC and Humana vision insurance was never made aware of that they don't take UHC. AARP medicare Advantaged. So bottom line walked in for a contac lens examine and still paid for it. Never so disappointed with no disclosure of what each insurance would pay or why After the fact billed $96. Customer service not at all and beware you know you're insurance benefits before you walk in the door. They have NO clue. Do yourself a favor go someplace else! read more

Nothing overly bad, or special sticks out here. Getting my eyes checked for contacts was fast and easy, but trying to get a hold of someone for new glasses took so long, I had decided to just come back another day. When I did, tge wait was long and I decide to just forget about it. The people there are friendly, and the place its self looks nice and is always clean. However, parking and driving in the parking lot can be a pain. The poorly designed parking lot cannot really be blamed on them as they did not design it, nor do they control it. read more

I purchased frames here on 11/06 I did not love the frames and comfort so I planned on exchanging them. Unfortunately, time got away and I was three days past the 30 day window. The manager allowed me to exchange them but when I went to get my new frames the lady there did not give me any paperwork or credit me the difference of the frames she wouldn't even tell me how much less the new ones were. I only came here because my glasses broke and I use the doctor there. I have never bought frames here because honestly their selection of higher end frames is not great but I was in a hurry to get a replacement. The customer service here is awful! I've purchased 3 different glasses from LensCrafters in years past and I have never had to wait longer than 2 days to get my glasses. I called to see how much longer I have to wait and the employee said it takes 10 days! For regular average lenses. Just amazing service. These are my guys. I came in to order new contacts, it turns out I was past my maximum date for reordering my same prescription. I asked if they could fit me in today and 30 seconds later I was signing a release and heading in back for my appointment. If I had gone to Costco this appointment and the contacts may have been cheaper but between the comfort and the speed at which the whole thing took place I will never go anywhere else for my fittings or my lenses. Horrible experience! First of all Kris Person eye group (long black hair) is rude on the phone! Then when I went in for my appointment she couldn't be bothered to look up from her computer to even greet me. Her tone and attitude are horrible! Kat on the other hand is wonderful! Made up in customer service which Kris is lacking! LensCrafters order the wrong glasses! Really no resolution. Rachel the manger was unavailable to help. She was the one who order the wrong glasses to being with. I think she should have called me this morning trying to resolve the situation, but I had to call and leave a message. Hello everyone. My mom is a long time employee at Lens Crafter in a different state. I originally bought a pair of glasses that didn't work out at my moms store for Christmas. Unfortunately they did not work out after trying to adjust them three times so I went on a week later to get a different pair well within my thirty days. Well unfortunately then that restyle Did not fit me again after I tried several adjustments. I went to return them and the employees told me I was past my thirty days and at first wouldn't let me return them. Well I actually was still within my thirty days and was basically being lied to about my purchase date. Very deceptive and this does not happen at my moms store so it is unfortunate that this location treated me that way. I will not return. read more

Beware of this location. Dr. Anderson was very unprofessional (vulgar and foul language, inappropriate/ sexual topics). Eww! Yes, he is fast, but TOO fast. My exam was not thorough, and in the end, I received an eyeglass prescription that was way off and the glasses gave me headaches. There is a different optometrist on Tuesdays if you really need to go here, who is completely different- professional, thorough, helpful... My experience shopping here for frames was not very good either. I like when salespeople help by telling you what does and does not fit your face. Instead, my fashion tastes were insulted (there's a difference), and the glasses I was encouraged to get were too big for my face. Everything got returned (after 2 attempts because one of the times the computers were all down). Terrible service. I have never written a Yelp review, but I feel passionately about this. I would rather buy a car then come here again. They told me my benefits so I paid for an exam then found out they told me my benefits wrong and insurance wi only cover a out 20.00 so instead of me paying about 50.00 I would pay 240.00!!! I wouldn't have had the exam if they had told me that. My daughter had benefits on her lenses that they didn't tell me where covered and free so I didn't have the extras put on for her. Last week caught me travelling for longer than I expected. I was running low on contacts, and shipping another box from home was not an option. Luckily, I was staying near the Camelback Colonnade LensCrafters. I figured they would have access to my prescription, which was written at a LensCrafters in California. Even if the lenses were out of stock, I could afford to wait while they shipped in. When I called, I was told my LensCrafters in California would have to fax in my prescription. Inconvenient - my prescription is available at LensCrafters.com - but not the end of the world. I comply. Forty minutes later I received a call from Miriam at the Camelback Colonnade LensCrafters. She informs me that they did not have my lenses in stock. I ask if she could check whether other LensCrafters in the area had the lenses in stock. She tells me I should call them myself. Then she hung up. I am not sure if she was being rude or negligent. Either way, nobody deserves this kind of lack of professionalism. read more

Doctor Anderson, next door to lenscrafters, is very good. Lenscrafters on the other hand is overpriced and their customer service is abhorrent. You can buy 5 pairs of glasses from Warby Parker (online) for what 1 pair will cost you at lenscrafters. Be sure to ask the doctor to measure your "pupillary distance" at the time of your eye exam because you will need it for your online order. read more

If I could give no stars I would. $800 for one pair of glasses that I can't use. The measuring camera outfit is smoke & mirrors. My wife had the same experience with her $1000 glasses. Emailed them and they thanked me for my feedback and said they were "sorry." Having used LenCrafters many times, I was very disappointed in my most recent experience at this store. I ordered replacement lens for prescription sunglasses and when they arrived the color of the lens was lighter and a different shade than I was promised. As the lens were expensive, I expected some concession, but was told that the company changes vendors all the time and that the replacement lens I received were what they had. I'm impressed so far and I consider the experience not to be complete as of yet. I scheduled an eye exam this morning and was helped by Dr David Anderson. I wear contacts and glasses and have issues with allergies. He observed that my eyelids were puffy and had me try Elestat which I've never tried before. OMG, this is some good stuff. It made a huge difference on how my eyes felt. We discussed my approaching need for bifocals in the future and agreed to hold off for now. Ohh, the joys of age 40. Then due to my eye allergies I'm currently doing a 2 week trial pair of contact lens versus the one month disposables i've been currently using. I have a follow up for saturday appointment for an eye dilation to see if I need to go on some steriods, but I'm truly impressed with how thorough Dr Anderson has been so far. The office staff is friendly as well. Now, I can't speak for the service of obtaining eyeglasses, but so far I'm pretty sure i will be a repeat customer. Thanks. read more

The office is a bit small. As soon as I arrived I filled out the paper work and was taken right back with no wait time. The technician was very friendly and made it a good experience. Had a great experience with the Optometrist as well as the LensCrafters employees. After my exam, I spent some time looking at frames. Del was super helpful. Although it can be a bit expensive, they do provide your glasses in 1 hour. Other places that are cheaper take 10-14 days. I needed some glasses for a trip in a few days. I'm very pleased with my recent experience here. A few weeks ago I came to the optometrist they share a building with for my eye exam, and decided to pick out some glasses. I ended up being there for nearly two hours (including eye exam time) trying to find the right glasses and completely lost track of time. I didn't realize, but the store had actually closed by the time I found the right frames! They didn't make me feel rushed or pressured to choose frames so they could leave - it felt more like they wanted me to be happy with my choice. So finally when I did find the right ones, I asked if she could just make a note so I could come back in the morning to finish paying, etc, and instead, she said it was no problem to stay open for a few more minutes to allow me to finish checking out. Incredible customer service. There were two people closing up that night, unfortunately I don't remember their names, but they were totally understanding of my indecisiveness and were so willing to give me that little bit of extra time inside the store. I came back the next day a little bit earlier than they suggested because I had to be somewhere else, and they were already finished with them! The woman working helped make sure my new glasses fit right and made a little alteration to them to make them perfect. Now I'm very satisfied with my new Ray Bans and I'll be back in a year or so when it's time for new Frames! read more

I went to this location and had an eye exam with Dr Pearson, who is on site. Dr. Pearson was great. The first young lady that helped me at Lensecrafters was great and very patient in helping me select frames. Unfortunately, I do not have insurance and could not afford the price of new frames. I had my original frames and was told they could put the new lenses with the new prescription in my frames. When I came in to pick up my frames there were gaps in the top where the lenses were cut too small. The kind gentleman that assisted me said they would reorder the lenses and recut them. I went in to pick them up and now there are larger gaps on the top an additional gaps on the sides??..... The new girl that helped me stated that it was normal for a "semi-frameless frame and when I pointed out they were worse, she then said that each time they recut the lenses it gets worse?.... I was NEVER told this or I would have purchased lenses that the lense fit! She then went on to tell me that it would NOT happen if I purchase one of their frames as they have patterns that match (very interesting sales pitch)! When I explained I paid over $300 for the lenses, all she offered was to apply the $300 to a pair of their frames. Problem is the frames I have I paid $450 for already. I have always gone to a private "non-chain" store and chose them because American Express had a special. Very, very disappointing and I plan on calling American Express to tell them what happened. I had an eye exam with the optometrist located at this site, it went well so I thought I would take advantage of the LensCrafters same day discount on lenses. I placed my order and waited the ten business days to pick up my glasses. I was down to just contacts, so I was eager to get my new glasses. When they finally arrived I picked them up, completed payment and was told I would be getting a survey. It was at this time I noticed a pit or chip out of the glass right in the middle of a lens. I pointed it out and they scrubbed and rubbed at it several times before declaring it a chip. I asked the man helping me to order new lenses. That is when a salesperson named Justin strode over, inspected the glasses and declared the chip too small to matter. I told him I would not take them with a chip the lens needs to be replaced, and I asked him if there was any way to rush the order since I was kind of desperate for them and had already waited ten days for the damaged lens, I hoped to not have to wait 20 days total. Justin said "look, there is no way to rush them, you will wait. If you want me to lie to you and tell you I am rushing the order I will, if that makes you feel good about it. But you are going to wait or take them as is". I insisted they refund my money and I went to Sassy Glasses where I should have gone in the first place. And oddly, I never did get that survey they told me to expect. I can see how a defect can happen, or even be overlooked but the hostility was kind of baffling. Save yourself the trouble. read more

I went in for my first pair of glasses and told the salesgirl that I only needed to wear them while at work. She told me what the"best" lens for my prescription would be and then told me the cost. Talk about sticker shock. I had no idea lenses could cost $330+ for my minor astigmatism. When I told her it was a lot higher than what I expected she stared back peddiling. When I told her I was going to shop around for pricing she told me that she could get me a better price by cutting down on some of the "extras" that she had automatically included. All of a sudden the cost was half the price. I feel like she tried to take adavantage of me because I had never worn glasses before. I took my prescription and left. Maybe a better approach would be for her to tell me what my options are along with the associated costs and let ME decide what I think is be best. read more

Splurging on a nice pair of sunglasses should be fun, right? Not at this location of LensCrafters. The selection is awful, first of all- you're better off at Sunglass Hut for sure. I wouldn't bother to write a negative review just for that- this is one of two times in my life that I have received such terrible customer service that I would bother writing such a review. The woman helping me was snobby, rude, and rolled her eyes or laughed out loud at every question I asked. She sighed audibly when I asked what the price would be with lenses, as though it was a HUGE bother to have to go to the computer and look it up. No one in the store knew how to apply the coupon I brought in- in fact, they'd never even seen such a coupon and it took not one, not two, but FOUR salespeople/technicians to figure out how to apply it. The whole process took almost two hours and included a lot of waiting around for the saleslady to wait for other slightly more competent salespeople to finish helping other customers to come over and answer her many, many questions. The other people I saw in the store with me were there for multiple hours as well. I would not recommend wasting your time here. read more
