I do not recommend NuVision.
I had my annual eye exam there in October 2025 using my vision insurance, which covers one eye exam per year. At the time, I chose not to buy glasses from them because their prices were far too expensive, so I purchased my glasses elsewhere.
Now, in July 2026, I decided I wanted to get contact lenses. I called another eye care office, and they kindly explained that since my insurance only covers one exam per year, I should first contact the office where I originally had my exam. Otherwise, I would have to pay out of pocket for another eye exam and contact lens fitting.
When I called NuVision and explained the situation, I was told they only honor an eye exam for 90 days for contact lens services. They said I would have to pay for another eye exam, another contact lens consultation, and quoted me around $250.
I understand that offices have policies, but this one seems designed to generate additional charges rather than help patients who have already used their annual insurance benefit. It was very disappointing, especially since I was trying to return as a customer.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend NuVision. Be sure to ask about their 90-day policy before scheduling your exam if you think you might want contacts later. read more
