Great staff- friendly and knowledgable. Everyone was professional. They were helpful and made me feel comfortable. The optometrist had great bedside manner. Would 100% recommed to anyone looking for an eye exam. read more

After a paid exam next door, at eye center, they wouldn't give me my pupil distance. They sent me next door to get glasses with my new prescription. The pupil distance shoulld be on your prescription or be provided on your exam. It was not. This is a test done and measured during your eye glass exam. They said they didn't do that which is done at every place that performs eye exams. They said to go next door to lens crafters and they could get it to me. Lens crafters workers says they do measure it but would only give me my measurements if I was going to buy glasses from them and at check out. This Lens crafters also doesnt take insurance for frames, so get ready to pay $$$ a lot for a limited selection. read more

There's great eyewear selection at this store, and Kelley was absolutely top notch with her customer care. Kelley worked with me to get my new insurance and my prescription updated in the system. Then, she guided my hubs and I through purchasing prescription and non-prescription frames. I went in for 1 pair of glasses, and happily walked out having purchased 2 frames, and a bonus pair of unexpected sunglasses for the hubs-- all due to the attention and support from Kelley in making the transaction so smooth for us. We were well taken care of today, and I'll absolutely be back. Sincere thanks, Kelley! read more

I can't really say I would recommend this place. I didn't have the best experience. The eye doctor is very nice, but he didn't explain to me the pricing of the exam. In particular he didn't inform me that the different contacts he was trying to get me to go with increase the cost of the exam by more than $100, even though he really didn't do anything different. The contacts he was trying to get me to use (progressive lens) weren't even any good, I had to take them out after 2 hours because I had a major headache from them. So I went back to wearing my old ones, but they still wouldn't refund me the difference in the price of the exam. If I would have known that the price of the exam was $100 more, for him not doing anything different, I would not have went with the progressive contacts that ended up in the trash. read more

I got to know the Lenscrafters folks pretty well after going there multiple times recently. Taz, the store manager, is exceptionally good at his job. He has a great personality, is very welcoming, ensures everyone gets attention quickly. The staff he's hired is excellent. I've never seen such a great store manager in retail before. He even picked out extremely lightweight, stylish eyeglasses for me that were excellent. He was able to determine my Rx from my existing glasses. He made the process easy by asking simple questions to determine which coatings, lenses, etc. It wasn't confusing or stressful at all. Especially amazing is that there was a problem with one of the eyeglasses I picked. It didn't sit right on my face so that I could see well. They remade them, and when I still couldn't see right, they helped me select another style that worked perfectly. I actually saved money with the newer pair. I didn't realize the location at Cary Towne Center was still there since it used to be in the now-demolished mall. They no longer do glasses in an hour or two. It takes 1-2 weeks, like most other places. I expected to save money overall vs. the posh optometrist offices, but the price was about the same. I've used Costco before and saved hundreds of dollars, but ended up with eyeglasses that were not the best size for me, didn't sit right on my face, and weren't attractive. Since I wear them all day, every day, they need to be exceptional. read more

Helpful friendly staff. Very efficient and professional. Modern clean facility. A one stop shopping experience. They appear to have the latest technology for performing eye examinations and diagnosing eye problems. I would highly recommend them. read more

Seems like a good thorough exam. The tech. outlined the results & the Dr. went through them in detail. Took less than 30 minutes.

Fantastic staff and doctor. The office staff were extremely polite and got me in the same day. They were also very helpful in helping me understand my vision benefits. I really appreciate Dr Mark Salopek. He is very friendly and helpful. He explained my options and the reasons for his recommendations. I didn't feel rushed and felt confident in his recommendations. He prescribed contacts that work much better with my dry eyes than what a different practice prescribed. read more

LensCrafters not only does a bait and switch with their online marketing but this store also claimed that certain frames can be made in store same-day. I would have taken any frame as I am completely blind without my glasses and called this store to confirm they can do same-day frames and was told yes they can! However, upon getting to this store, was told they can't do it same day. They then measured my eyes SO INCORRECTLY and told me that my frames would be in within 3-5 business days. It was 6 business days before they finally came in and ended up being incorrect anyways because the lady who "measured my eyes" with the iPad couldn't figure out where the camera was and had me looking about a foot to the left to measure where the center of my eye is. So no frames for $100 as advertised (minimum is 135 plus lenses and that was with every discount I could find) and definitely not same-day service. There wasn't even an option to pay more to rush them. I have been blind and having to stay home for over 9 days now, wearing my very old prescription sunglasses to be able to barely work from home. I do not recommend lens crafters and they need to train their staff better on the iPad measuring thing or just do it the old fashioned way. Very unhappy overall. read more

I bought glasses online and fully expected them to turn us away when we came in and asked them to help us adjust them but the woman is so nice and she absolutely let us adjust them. She was nice and friendly very professional. If I ever need to get glasses in person I will go here. read more

Angel was an angel. She and Taz were very professional and personable. I am excited to get my new glasses.

This is a fantastic place to get your glasses because it's manager Taz is a fantastic people people who make us clients feel welcomed, important and our names and unique previous encounters are remembered. His character (coupled with his sidekick Steve) is the reason that I will go to no other optician. I fully recommend that you do the same. read more

Simple cannot see without my glasses, visiting Cary, NC from Texas and needed a complicated repair to my prescription eyeglasses that were not purchased from LensCrafters. Great staff. ALL worked hard to make things work out. I am looking forward to future dealings with this group!

I think the manager that other people complained about is no longer there. Kelley helped me out and was super nice! I liked that they gave me space to pick out and try on glasses by myself. And when I was ready to talk lenses Kelley was super helpful and it was a very quick process to check out. Keep in mind this is not a full service LensCrafters so the store is a little small. They do not do same day lens fixes here, which wasn't a problem for me, but someone walked in wanting that service. Frame selection was pretty good! They had the pair I was interested in that I saw online. They only did not have one frame I wanted to try, but it wasn't a big deal. Overall very happy! read more

I've been going here for a few years and staff has always been professional and thorough. Every experience has been pleasant.

Son had glasses that were broken and no spare to use. He needed new glasses fast for driving. Didn't have time to wait 13 days. We went to our normal eye dr but when I left there I called LensCrafters in Cary to check and see if they had his prescription. They did so we went over and were greeted right away and he picked out the frames he liked. We sat down to make sure they would work and they did. We paid, ran a few errands and they called us to come back and get them in less than an hour. So thankful for the staff there. Everyone was so nice and helpful. Will be back for sure. read more

I really enjoyed my experience. Everyone is very professional. Was impressed with the optician. He was very thorough and explained each process, very happy with my outcome of my exam. I am only giving it four stars instead of five because they now make it mandatory that you get the additional out-of-pocket exam for glucoma for $39. It to be an option but now mandatory. Everyone was very polite, friendly and helpful. Eye exam went great and no one rushed me while I picked my glasses. 10/10 would recommend

I wish I had read reviews before going here. Poorly ran office. It is not worth the headaches that come with dealing with the unprofessional staff members. Note that the eye center and lenscrafters are technically 2 different places, they just take you to the lenscrafters side if you need glasses. I went to the eye center upon the recommendations to the lenscrafters location and that is my fault. Don't make the same mistake. read more

It was 6:30pm one night when my 3 year old somehow managed to break my mom's glasses (who was visiting from Winston-Salem). I had stopped at another Eye Dr. which was open but they were not able to fix them... then I found LensCrafters... Wow wow wow! I wish I could recall the name of the lady that helped me. She was WONDERFUL! She fixed my mom's glasses in 5 minutes and DIDN'T EVEN CHARGE ME. She was such a blessing! I can't thank Lenscrafters enough!!!! read more

After purchasing two pairs of prescription glasses, I received a call 10 days later to come in for pick up. When I found out that they only had one pair available, I requested and the associate, Kelly agreed to call me back once the 2nd pair was also ready for pick up as I did not want to make two separate trips. The next day I received a voice message from Kelly stating that my glasses were ready for pick up. Once I got to the store, Kelly gave me only one pair, then proceeded to tell me that the 2nd pair was not available. It was as though he disregarded our conversation just one day before. Unfortunately, the lack of attention to detail by the associate, will force me to make two trips anyway. Not a good customer experience. read more

Great service. We had a horrible experience at the Eye Center next door but Lens Crafters made it up to us with their super nice employees and great deals. We were there and found out that the prescription we needed couldnt fit our existing frames anymore so had to get new frames and lenses. The staff was really apologetic about the eye exam and the mix up on frames that they gave us a little discount which made the purchase s much nicer. Nice selection to choose from. I called the local Lenscrafters to see if they accepted VSP eye insurance. The sales associate said yes, so I made an appointment for my husband. After he got his exam/ordered glasses, he came home with a $1,000+ receipt that didn't reflect our coverage, so I called Lenscrafters to find out why. The response: "Oh, we do take VSP, but we're out-of-network." Umm... by default, every single eye company 'takes VSP.' Some companies do it at the cash register (out-of-network), and other companies (completely non-VSP) require you to submit the receipts to VSP for reimbursement. An honest sales associate would have told me that Lenscrafters is out-of-network, since that was clearly what I was trying to find out when I called. Lying by omission is still lying. read more

LensCrafters - Friendly customer service and reasonable prices. They often have great sales. - Eyewear & Opticians Near Me - Cary, North Carolina

We went to this LensCrafters twice. Once was for my son & then again for myself. The person who helped with my son's glasses was very nice, though it seemed she was ready to sell us clearly oversized glasses. If that had been our only experience, I would have given 3 or 4 stars. Unfortunately, we returned 2 weeks later for my glasses. I had already found the frames I wanted at another LensCrafters. I also checked online to make sure that the Cary location had them in stock, as I was making a two hour drive round trip from my house. The manager asked what I was looking for & I told him. He became a little agitated when he couldn't find the frames in the color I wanted & tried to hand me other colors. He quickly gave up and told me that I needed to order them. I told him that I was hoping to get them that day. He said that if I ordered them I would get them today. That didn't make sense to me so I questioned how I could get them today. After he repeated the statement a couple more times, he finally admitted that I would pay for them today, but of course I wouldn't get them today. I wasn't sure if he had been trying to trick me into ordering from his store, or if he was just a very poor communicator. I asked if any of the other LensCrafters stores in the area may have them in stock. He then became loud and said "If you want to drive all over town looking for the that's up to you!" I asked if he could check their system to see if other local stores had them in stock. He walked towards the register saying "No problem! No problem!" in a loud sarcastic voice. At this point my wife & son, who witnessed his behavior, were looking at me in disbelief & others customers were beginning to stare. After typing on the keyboard he said, "you have to order them". At that point I knew that I would not order anything from this guy & left. I drove a few miles to the Crabtree Mall location and found the frames in stock & the glasses were ready to take home in an hour. The clerk at Crabtree was very helpful and patient with any questions we had. Please note: Although the Cary LensCrafters manager was similar to dealing with a spoiled angry child, the optometrist next door was very professional & highly recommended read more

I purchased a new pair of glasses, had a older pair of sunglasses new set of lenses. Quick and easy to get waited on. Unsold the idea of getting there replacement plan thing, extra money. So I wear the regular glasses and it seems blurry. Well my prescription changed for the first time in 30 years. Thought it was just me had to get used to them. No it was the right lens was blurry. Now my fault I didn't go right back. In fact it was months later. But I had the warranty get new glasses if the framers were scratched or broken. So before a big trip across county I went to get the problem fixed. I am a liar, both sets of glasses, sun and regular where exactly the same said there machines. To bad when I put them on my vision out of my right eye is blurry. They said sorry but unfortunately we can't do anything for you says our machines. I have spent $$$$ of dollars over the years. They will never get another $ from me. read more
