There aren't many places you can actually go and try on a bunch of eyeglass frames at these days. It's a lot cheaper to buy them online, but I can NEVER get one that actually looks good on me like that. Lenscrafters has a decent sized selection at decent prices. I came during one of their 40% off lenses sale which made things a bit more affordable (my eyesight is so bad that my lenses end up costing at least $300 on their own...ouch). I've come here a few times to get adjustments to my frame so that they're more comfortable to wear and the wait time really varies. I've waited 5 minutes to 30 minutes. But, the staff has always been polite and friendly. Worth a shot if you need a place to get new glasses. read more

Last update; after 6 visits they finally got it right. This place represents the North Carolinian customer service philosophy well...nice to you to your face or until they get what they want from you but it is all fake. This part of North Carolina is the armpit of the south and the native locals are those little pieces of dirt that collect in the creases of an armpit when not washed for a few days. read more

I had bought a pair of glasses at Lens Crappers about one year ago. I accidentally broke them and needed to have them fixed, the frame and lenses were intact but needed to be reassembled. I brought them to the store and walked the mall for about half an hour. When I returned to the Lens Crappers location they told me the glasses couldn't be fixed and wanted to sell me new frames for $180. I told them I would pay for any parts that were needed to fix the old glasses but they insisted I needed to buy a new frame. I didn't really believe them cause the frames were barely damaged. I left the store without buying the new frames. I brought my broken glasses to a My Eye Doctor outlet and the gentleman there fixed my glasses with no charge in 10 minutes. Lens Crappers is a bunch of scammers, avoid them. read more

Waited over an hour to see a dr after my appointment time in a stuffy and warm room. Nice people, clean and professional center but they need to work on client service. Not sure I'll be returning. read more

Very expensive, even with discounts. We bought 3 pairs of glasses and were there for hours. SO understaffed. 2 people handling a dozen customers at a time. Happy with glasses we received. read more

I had an emergency situation that I had to get a pair of glasses replaced. The ladies they greeted me at the door were happy, friendly and more than accommodating. While I was looking for a set of frames my sales associate recommended that I make an appointment next-door at the eyecare center next to LensCrafters. I did so and was able to have one of the best eye exams I have ever had. I suffer from a retinal disease so finding a prescription that suits my eyes is tricky to say the least. I have never seen so well in my life. He was amazing. They had the lenses I need it in stock and of course the glasses were done within an hour. The price was right and I cannot thank the people that help me out that night enough. read more

I moved here from SC not too long ago, and my glasses happened to break out of the blue. So huge emergency. My old eye doctor was trying to charge me an absurd price for new glasses, so I decided to go to LensCrafters. Kelly immediately assisted me. I told her I just turned 26 so I was not sure of my vision insurance, and she simply asked me what my insurance was and BAM helped me so instantly. I would have been on the phone with my insurance for hours trying to figure that out. My old eye doctor was also taking forever to fax my prescription, - Kelly was so patient, kind, and helpful for the entire 2 hours. Never thought I'd spend that long at a LensCrafters, but Kelly and the rest of the staff on duty were so pleasant, so in a situation where I would have been annoyed, I actually was very calm and just chilling! My glasses were ready in less than an hour, and overall just a really great experience. Shout out to Kelly for being amazing - as well as the rest of the on duty staff! 10/10! read more

Very nice workers but WAY understaffed. 2 people working and 15 people in the store. Waited 25 minutes to pick up glasses after the 1 hour time period. Will go to Crabtree next time...just as busy but better staffed. read more

This was one of the worst buying experiences that I've ever had and will NEVER use them again, even after going here for 4 years. I should've known when I walked in and overheard the "manager" reprimanding one of his employees front and center while customers were around. I was promised my within 10 days. When I didn't get any type of notification I contacted the store to check on my order. Their response was that they were in transit and should arrive the next day. No notification the next day either, so I called and was told they didn't know the status of my order and would leave a message for the lab to return my phone call. No call back. So, after 2 days, I contacted the store again and asked to speak to a manager. That's when I got Daniel. Daniel was the most immature and unprofessional "managers" that I have EVER come in contact with. Daniel essentially said I was lying and that I was sent a notification several days prior that my glasses were ready. REALLY Daniel? I have spoken to several different people at your store and not one told me my glasses were ready. I then asked Daniel for the ph# to their corporate office. Daniel's response "Just Google it". I wondered out loud why I should have to do that, if I'm the phone with you. I then asked Daniel to send my order to another store, so that I could pick it up from another store. After asking which one, Daniel the manager just hung up on me without any direction as to when I should expect my order to arrive at the other store. Yup, that's right, I had to call back! Sorry for the long rant and all of this to say DO NOT GO HERE! Take your money where you are truly appreciated as a customer. This is not the place and Daniel you should be provided better training or better yet you might want to look into a whole different type of job, because you're not very good at this one. read more

I will never ever buy another item from Lenscrafters. I became friends with an employee who told me that the companty who owns Lenscrafters also owns glass companies who make lenses and eyeglass frame companies. What's worse is they have been buying up smaller companies and competitors (eg perlevision). If there prices were fair, all this wouldn't matter but they aren't. Lenscrafters have a monopoly and they set the prices high. Their coupons are really meaningless and their stores have absolutely NO autonomy. They underpay their employees and don't have many benefits. They do not place orders. They do not choose what styles to carrry, and the styles and quality of the frames has plummeted over time. The last time I bought glasses it cost about $600 WITH coupons. Do yourself a favor. Get a local eye exam and buy frames from a local company (fi there is one) or online. read more

Went to this location for the first time to purchase frames, I already had my prescription. The people here were very friendly and professional. Communicated appropriately and didnt leave anything unanswered. Told them about what happened at Johnson Opto. and they were appaulled about the lack of communication we recieved and couldnt believe that the office manager did not understand or try to resolve the issue. Lenscrafters has definitely won a new client as we like dealing with a knowledgeable, professional, and no attitudes team. read more

Great experience. I had an appointment for an exam today and everyone was very friendly and efficient. Once my exam was over I went next door to pick out frames and 1 hour later they were ready. Everyone was professional. Honestly I have no complaints. Frames in 1 hour who can ask for more. read more

I just had the most wonderful experience at this store! I was able to find a many frames that looked good and the optician helped me narrow it down to the perfect one. his input was great! he was professional and very helpful AND I get my glasses in one hour! I cant ask for a better visit than that! everything went so smooth and quick! I would highly recommend this store! read more

Terrible place to shop. I found the prescription safety glasses that I wanted to purchase and waited 30mins for a greeting while sitting and waiting. When I finally was waited on (hour later) the sales woman was appeared to have absolutely zero product knowledge. I decided to purchase the glasses anyways and came back in 90mins, not an hour as advertised as per direction of sales woman. When Rhonda (Ronda) the saleswoman retreived my glasses she handed them to me and I tried them on to notice a film or haze. I liked the fit and style but I said in a calm tone to her "it seems if there is a bit of a haze or some filmy shit on the lenses". This is where it gets weird. As I tried to hand the glasses back she just stares at me with hate and gives me a five minute lecture on not using profanity in front of women and children. This blew my mind as my 'swear word' wasnt directed at anyone, I was just talking out loud. Ronda spoke to me under her breath so as the saleswoman next to her could not hear what she was saying to me. Basically she was scorning me and told me that in gods eyes it was wrong to say "shit". Mind that there were no children in the store and only one couple that was being helped by the other saleswoman. Ronda blew the sale for LensCrafters and as I was trying to leave with a full refund, which she screwed up as well, she proceeded to continue giving me a lecture. Well, today is two days later and countless emails to corporate and calls to the store with no resolve. The store tech says that he and no one else can find the rx safety glasses that were made. The deal was if they could remedy the hazy film that I would still make the purchase. Seems that LensCrafters is highly disorganized and cares minimally about there customers and customer satisfaction. In a nutshell, DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. As of today I have spent between 5-7 hours either at the store or on the phone and emailing them. Get it together Lens Crafters!!!! read more

I recently purchased two pairs of glasses. there. The sunglasses were made incorrectly. Plastic lenses were ordered, but polycarbonate was put in. On the first trip back (because one side was darker than the other)they again tried to put more dye on them. When they brought them to me I pointed out that there was a spot where there was no color. I was told, "That is just a speck, there are silver flakes all over the place back there". When the woman tried to clean them, more coating peeled off. At that point they realized the wrong lens type was used, and I was told they would remake them. After 3 additional trips, each time being told "He will do them first thing tomorrow" and, then I would arrive to find they had not been done, I was promised they would be done early Sunday afternoon and would get a call when they were done. I finally called them at 5:45 and was told they had not been done, but the lab manger would do them first thing Monday morning and they would be ready by noon. When I called that morning, I was told the lab manger was not even on the schedule that day. I have been put off, lied to, had my concerns dismissed, and today was not allowed to speak to a manager on the phone. Meanwhile, my credit card was charged $734.96 a week ago, and I still do not have correct sunglasses. Additionally, the finish is already popping off of the regular glasses on one side. I went to the store today and returned both pairs of glasses.. I have been a loyal customer of Lenscrafters for many years, and have bought all of my and my children's glasses there. I will never again give any of my very hard earned money to Lenscrafters. There was no hesitation in their accepting my money, but I was put off at every turn when I did not receive what I had paid for. They have lost my business and my recommendation for good. No one in the lab apologized. The only apologies offered were by associates who had nothing to do with the incompetence. That store needs some SERIOUS retraining and customer service improvements. read more
