My prescription was written in December 2024, so beware this vendor sets expiration at 365 days the NC legal minimum. Prescriptions can be valid for 2 years, because many only have coverage for vision every other year. SO BE AWARE CLARITY IS A NICE PLACE DRIVEN BY THE DOLLAR. THANKS TO THEIR LIMITED PRESCRIPTION LIFE, I GET TO LOSE OVER $1000... YES I LOSE IT AND MY INSURANCE COMPANY GETS TO KEEP THE EXTRA $1000. There were NO employees in sight other than the 2 at the front desk who didn't even get out of their chair. The older lady on the left (who didn't crack a smile the first time either) was downright majorly rude!!!!! The younger African American lady wanted to just hand me the glasses and get rid of me! She seemed very very annoyed that I actually wanted to try them on! Then when the glasses made me instantly dizzy, the older lady kept arguing with me and gaslighting, saying it was just because the prescription changed and that I would "get used to it"!! I kept telling her the prescription did NOT change (and it made me wonder how many kids she had gaslighted into leaving without getting satisfaction!)! The ONLY reason I got the glasses to begin with was that the others had not been adjusted right and they gave me an eventual migraine. But THESE gave me an instant migraine AND made me dizzy! FINALLY a lady employee came out from hiding and said "let me see...". She said the curve had not been taken out - 5 seconds of adjusting... better, but not great. They ARGUED (literally all 3 of them) with me that there was nothing else they could do and that I would get used to it. I had to keep standing my ground - which no one should have to do!!! I felt like I was in a full-on battle! Finally, a guy employee came out from hiding and adjusted them and 10 seconds later they were fine. WOW!!! Totally makes me wonder how many others they have gaslighted instead of just knowing we are not lying or mistaken and just fixing the problem!!!! I left in tears and exhausted from a battle I was not expecting and should have never had!!!!!!! (PS- I was the ONLY customer there.) Will NEVER go back! NOTHING is worth that! Why do they keep those grumpy, rude, argumentative employees???

So I went to the location on Creedmoor Road in Raleigh. They were just as wonderful! They even came out and opened the door for me (as I could not see). Super fast and friendly and I loved that I did not have to fill out paperwork since they already had everything in the system. So they told me I needed to go back Monday (today) for another visit and I could not go there or the one on Kildaire Rd so they got me in on the Ten Ten Road location. Darn it if they were not great, too! All 3 of these offices have been clean, offered refreshments, ON TIME (that is huge!), staff is wonderful and the doctors have been great. I would feel comfortable going to any of their locations.

Eyes are sensitive organs and I was not told anything about the machines or tests that were done during my exam unless I asked about them, but I was also not given time to ask about anything before it happened. I felt like I was being experimented on because no one would tell me what the hell was going on. Keep in mind this was my first eye exam in years, and my second ever, so I had no idea what was supposed to happen during this appointment. I told them this, and they still treated me this way. Horrible overall experience, and I would not recommend for anyone who likes explanations, has sensory issues, or has not been to an eye doctor before. I will never be coming back.

Plus, the fact that they accept my insurance made the whole experience smooth and affordable. Manager Brittany at HS wants to charge me 80 plus tax for replacement/repair and argues on the phone with me that's the best she can do. If you're thinking about going here I'd think twice. She claimed the year warranty was over. But if a merchant sells a defective frame - and I've had quite few glasses in my lifetime with never a problem- if it sellls a defective frame it should make good. There's more, but that's essentially the problem I'm having w them today.

Eventually it turned into me getting migraines. After returning to their store a few times trying to troubleshoot my issue of feeling like I was crossed eyed when wearing my glasses that were $316 WITH insurance they made me an appointment. At appointment time I was told that I have to pay even more to have it corrected. I will be disputing this with my card and insurance because I refuse to spend even more money when they obviously entered something incorrect pertaining to my astigmatism. I should have never left Carolina Family Vision since I've never had an issue with my prescription from them. Edited to add: I just thought I should fill everyone in. Two months ago they did replace my lenses without a recheck so they actually confirmed that they DON'T have good customer care. It also shows that you don't have good communication in your office since you wouldn't have said that had you known you all have already failed. Shame on you for trying to hide your failures.
