Went in to pick up bifocals from a new prescription. Guy goes back, gets them, hands them to me. Says nothing. I say not seeing well out of them. I'm trying to engage him. "I guess I have to get used to them. He does ask how they fit. I ask if there's a period for return or redo. "29 days." I ask if there's a cleaning cloth. "I don't know, this isn't my store." I went in with some friends on Saturday and picked out glasses. I explained the frames needed to be longer or they hugged my face to tight. Laura helped handing me glasses and without explaining much started putting my info into the computer while I was still looking around. With good medical benefits the total was $600+ for the two pair. I questioned that it was supposed to be 50% off the price on the tag. The price on the tag said $300. I was told the glass were $700 this made no sense, I was never given an option for lens the rep picked them out herself. I told her I didn't want what she picked didn't need anti glare or anything else. Price dropped to $496 which was still not 50% off but I figured ok designed Prada frames ok Finally agreed to buy two pairs she measured my face and I asked would this have any impact to the frames that I picked out because I needed them to be long she told me no. She mentioned I'd get two text when the glasses were complete, one this week and one next. I said I would just come get them both on the same day when they're done. Today I got two text messages both pairs of glasses were complete. I called and confirmed because I thought one was coming in today and one was coming in a week. I went In and when trying on the glasses I immediately hated them both. I told a different sales rep and she didn't say anything else to me she went to the back and got Laura. Laura comes out doesn't say hi nothing. She walks to the computer started typing and eventually tells me to bring her my credit card. I give her the card wondering when we will look at other glasses or when she is going to answer my questions about current glasses she never did. I tell her I am sorry and she says "I went to Barton creek this morning to get these glasses" I apologize again and she says "no good deed goes unpunished". By now I'm not going to buy anything I didn't want a refund but I was done. I asked when my insurance company would be notified and she said I don't know call them gave me my receipt and walked off. They had great service but you HAVE to make sure to "CHECK IN" on their little clip board or they will not help you because all of the staff will be super busy! They have a HUGE selection of eyewear but the minus 2 stars would be because they did not take our insurance(which is VSP) and that NO ONE told us that we needed to sign into their "check in" board so we just wandered around for about 5-10 minutes without any help or attention. read more

When you spend 500$+ on one pair of frames and lenses, you think these people will show you decent courtesy when you come back with an issue. The coating on the 300+ $ lenses started to peel off. I stopped by here to see what's up and if anything can be done. The girl on the desk was on the phone the whole time I was asking her questions. Every few minutes she told me to hold on, she went back to her conversation, then looked back at me "ok what?" Then she told me there was nothing to be done about my glasses with a shrug and went back to her phone conversation. an older guy came up and said you're probably rubbing them too hard when you clean them.... Okay these are the third pair of glasses over 5 years that I have purchased from your company and this problem never happened before. I wasn't looking for my money back, I just wanted to know if the problem can be solved in anyway. Neither of the employees were interstes in helping me. I gave up and said thank you, neither of them looked up to acknowledge me. Unbelievably rude service. Worst LC in all of Austin, dallas and San Antonio. I was a little apprehensive about coming back to this Lenscrafters because I had such a terrible experience the last time. But I figured it was 2 years ago and it was time to give them another shot. I'm glad I did! Andrew helped me on my first visit. We went through what my insurance covered and he was very kind at explaining everything to me. I told him about my awful experience the last time I went there and he apologized for the service I had received. This was a genuine apology and I really appreciated it. I was in and out in about an hour. Picked out my frames, paid, and just needed to wait for my lenses to come in. About a week later, Andrew calls me and asks me to come back in because the frames I picked out wouldn't work with my lenses. I was a little disappointed, but I understood. It was nothing Andrew or myself could control. I went back in today and Jennifer helped me out. She knew exactly what was going on with my frames and lenses so it was nice that I didn't have to explain it too much. She was patient with me while I picked out a new frame that would work with my lenses. I had a really great experience at this Lenscrafters and they made my life very easy while getting new glasses. read more

So far, my experience with this place has been pretty average. Like some other reviewers have said, they have an awesome selection and I didn't feel pressured or stressed out as I was browsing. They gave me a tray to put all my choices on and they even offered to take pictures of me in the glasses (which I didn't take them up on, but I guess could be helpful?). I had a prescription for eyedrops along with my prescription for glasses and the lady ended up keeping both. She also charged me for insurance even though she had never asked me if I wanted it nor did she inform me that she was charging me for it. It sort of felt seedy to me and left me feeling less-than-four-stars about this place. read more

She made getting a new pair of glasses, quick, painless and actually enjoyable! I got my glasses from here a little over a year ago. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Just stopped in again to get my glasses straightened out after I had stepped on them and was again greeted warmly and helped quickly. They were informative and straightened my glasses out perfectly! read more

This place has excellent customer service, I came in when there wasn't anyone else in the store and the lady was extremely helpful. I did see how it can get busy though, as I was being helped there were about 3 other people who came in and were waiting. The lady who was assisting me greeted each person and let them know she was busy at the moment but would help them out as soon as she became available. read more

I had a wonderful experience at this location. It was getting pretty busy but Terry helped me and took her time to make sure the fit was perfect for me! I was told that my glasses could take 7-14 days but they were ready in only four! Very happy with the service and will be using them for all of my future glasses needs! read more

I had outstanding customer service at this Lenscrafters. I came in with an urgent need for glasses after contracting pink eye and losing the ability to wear my contacts. The store was slammed and I only had 50 minutes until I had to leave. The woman who helped me was patient, empathetic, knowledgeable, and efficient. So I went in today to get my eyes checked and the dr.'s office next door was fantastic! I have been to lens crafters for years and every experience has been very pleasant, but today was less than pleasant... I wasn't greeted when I walked in the door with my new prescription. I was excited to look at getting new glasses. I've been needing them for some time. So I was told to sign in. That there was going to be a wait time. I was totally okay with that, I figured I would pick out frames while they were busy and when they were ready I would be fairly ready. So two more people walk in the door. They finish their sign in and wait too. I was immediately skipped and the two gentleman who had been there less than 10 minutes were both helped while I had been waiting over a half hour. So I proceeded to wait another half hour. By the time I was helped I was seriously getting frustrated. So then the lady was rude to me first off and I was more than nice when I was talking to her. Then she snapped at me when I had a question about my vision benefits and asked about the coupon I got that said it could be stacked with my insurance. That's when I stood up and told her nevermind. Just to put the new prescription info in my file. And that I would be leaving. And she was mad that I wasn't going to buy anything. Well?! What do you expect. I had been there wth her for less than 5 minutes. And I was already pissed off. So I walked out. I would give y'all a name. But she never introduced herself. read more

My daughter has had glasses for about 4 years now. Her first pair from a disount store, lasted 3 years. Her prescription changed and we got her a new pair from Lenscrafters about 7 months ago. 4 months later, the joint on one of the temples broke. Lenscrafters offers no warranty on their work, only product replacement plans at an additional cost. So, at that time, Lenscrafters did offer to salvage the lenses by putting them into a new pair of the same frames. I did have to pay for the new frame, but frames cost less than lenses so we went with that. I'm now $220 out on these glasses WITH vision insurance. Within 3 months, hairline cracks start appearing on the inside edge of one lens. I took the glasses back to Lenscrafters and the person first said that the cracks were caused by Windex. I told her we don't use Windex on our glasses. She then took the lenses to the lab which promptly denied any responsibility. Voting with my dollars. I'll go back to the discount place. They take longer to fill, but history says I won't waste time and money getting an inferior product repaired. read more
