I have gone here a handful of times and they've always been helpful...... until now…read more I have something bothering my eye. Not sure what it is. It's happened before so the doctor looked at it and saw an eyelash and pulled it out no problem. I called since I'm having a similar issue. Now they refuse to help me. Completely unhelpful. Looks like I'll be finding a new doctor who wants to help patients, not just push them off on someone else or dismiss them without a consult first.

The doctor was patient and explained everything procedure in detail. They also had an iris dialator machine that doesn't dl our your eyes like traditional eye drops which insurance doesn't cover but they were very upfront about the additional $39 cost which I appreciated. The optician was very kind as well - first time I'd dealt with an optician really outside of talking to employees at Warby Parker. Highly recommend them!

I've been a patient at this office for over 10 years, but unfortunately this will be my last visit…read more I purchased a one-year supply of contact lenses after being told multiple times by the front desk staff that I would receive a $400 rebate. The cost of a full year supply is significant for me, but based on that information, I decided to move forward with the purchase. When I later went to submit the rebate, I discovered it was only $250. I contacted the office to address the discrepancy and was very disappointed with how it was handled. I was told it was not their responsibility, and the receptionist was extremely rude, dismissive, and unwilling to acknowledge the mistake or even offer a simple apology. While I didn't expect them to undo the purchase, I did expect some level of accountability or customer care. I followed up with an email to express my concerns and was completely ignored. It's incredibly frustrating to be misinformed about something that directly impacts a costly decision, and even more frustrating to be treated so poorly when trying to resolve it. Because of this experience, they have lost not only me as a patient, but also my husband. I would not recommend this office based on their lack of professionalism and customer service.

They're always happy to answer my questions and engage in conversation with me. Dr. Nishida is very passionate; you can tell she loves what she does. On my last visit, she recommended NeuroLens to correct a focusing issue that was causing me a lot of eye strain and stress. I wasn't sure about it - the lenses are quite pricey - but I never felt pushed, only supported. I decided to go for it and WOW, the difference is incredible. It took about three days to get used to the new lenses, but the transition was gentle, and the difference is everything. Almost immediately, my eye strain was gone; no more pain, no more headaches. If NeuroLens is recommended for you, I whole-heartedly recommend pursuing it. Definitely changed my life.

Disappointing Experience and Overcharged…read more I visited Lori Eugenio's optometry practice for an eye exam and glasses and was charged almost $500. The frames were of poor quality, seemingly sourced cheaply from China. At the time, I didn't know what the going rate was, and since I knew her personally, I felt embarrassed to question the price. So, I paid the amount, trusting her and not expecting to be taken advantage of. Recently, I had an eye exam at another optometrist office (this exam was $85- no additional charges) and the doctor informed me that my eyes are fine for over-the-counter reading glasses, and I didn't need prescription lenses. Given that I have a +1.50 prescription, this made me realize I was likely overcharged for something I didn't need, which is deeply disappointing. I would not recommend this practice to anyone and advise others to be cautious when seeking services here.

I mention that because not only do they continue correcting my vision accurately, with progressives, but they have a Nikon Optos retinal camera. That means that I don't have to go to a separate ophthalmologist for diabetic retinal imaging. I go once a year. It takes 30 to 40 minutes. My main complaint is with the billing office. When I saw the optometrist, they put a credit card on…read morefile, so I thought they'd charge that card when they got the insurance statement. They didn't, and I received a bill in the mail. Over the last month, I've left at least 3 messages for the billing department so I could ask them to charge the card on file or take a card by phone, but they never returned my call. When I finally reached someone, I was told charge a fee to take payments by phone. What's the point of storing my credit card in their system if patients are forced to mail in checks because phone calls go unanswered and calls don't get returned? The actual clinical experience was disappointing too. The optometrist was fine, but before I could see him, they sent an optometry student in. The student lacked basic bedside manner and hygiene. She didn't introduce herself or state her role, didn't ask if it was okay for me to see a student, left the exam room door wide open for other patients to hear our conversation. I didn't see her wash her hands or wear gloves before touching my eye. Perhaps she used hand sanitizer outside the room, but I was surprised she didn't wear gloves. Good things: scheduling is easy for urgent issues, as they got me in same day when I felt I had something stuck in my eye.
