This is such an Ugly place! This office has lied and lied and lied to me and my kids, consistently, for over 4 years.
They gave me a pair of "Test" glasses once that were trifocals with some features that gave me headaches so I returned them in return for my regular bifocals (after which, I don't think this was sanctioned by the doctor because the girl who did this was no longer there when we went back for our annual check up. so there's not much left to conclude).
Then the doctor told my 12 year old to use chewable for the vitamins to which I replied, "no, no, no." Dentist do not recommend this and are frankly, against such suggestions in that, "Children usually do not have good cleaning habits and as a result, the sugar rots their teeth - unless they brush constantly." If they don't have good brushing habits, they'll end up with nothing but cavities. And I went on to tell my son, we get our daily vitamin intake by watching the foods we eat; through eating good, healthy foods. To which the doctor took offense but I thought I smoothed that over years ago. Besides, it's not my fault when one is adequate in one area but soooo deficient in others (we all have our challenges but are only idiotic, presumptuous, buffoons when we ignore them).
And since, they have told me that they no longer take my insurance (I originally went there because they were just down the street when I moved my family here). They've told me this for over 4 years so I went to a place further away only to later contact my insurance for a list of doctors who are closer to my area, only to find out that this office, Burbank Family Optometry, has always been on their list and has always taken my insurance - and had never stopped. So, if they don't want me or my kids to come there, fine cause no one wants to be where they're not wanted, nor do I want my kids treated by someone who is so half-hearted, and one that would resort to such unprofessional, childlike behavior - what kind of person has such little consideration - especially someone who considers themselves a professional.
That's a small mindset to be trapped in.
Prejudices of sorts are irrelevant and irresponsible to which I say, thanks mom, dad cause I don't have to be that kind of person with those kinds of challenges!
Thanks for making me a person who doesn't have to live in such a lousy existence. What an environment in that head of yours. The word's disgusting enough without having to placate a grown ass child over something sooo simple, sooo uneasy and so blatantly unnecessary.
PS: You're telling me that you're doing so good that you can turn down individuals with outstanding PPO insurance - unlike we had before. My boys are all grown now with their own insurance and you're turning down the good money that you're in business to succeed with. THIS! this is your business sense?
Plus, you get this uptight! when corrected, then hide and hate others behind your very own inadequacies.
No one's responsible for your actions but you! You know that! you're mama told you that somewhere along the way.
I hope I'm wrong - very wrong, at least about some of it because that's a very hard life to live so sadly in.

PSS: The Supervisor from the insurance called and informed your office manager that I am eligible for services per my insurance and also confirmed the "Interim Policy" that your office manager should be well aware of - especially after so many years in the business (she has absolutely no excuse for that undereducated response). Once what you/your office did not know was confirmed through the insurance company, I called 3 times: once in the morning, noon, and then before 3p because your office manager, Aleda, leaves early - as we all recollected. But it didn't matter because she NEVER did call back. And when I followed up, all of my calls, some 3-4 calls over several days, all - ALL went to voicemail.
So, several days later, my son called on my behalf but used this friend's phone so the caller ID would not show our identifiable last name - and that called was immediately answered - immediately! Why would she dodge my calls? I had made no complaint at that time, and am, as always, nice to your crew. So why the complication? Why ostracize us? What is the personal vindictiveness about or for?
